Abstract

This research examines the Islamic education thought of Abdullah Nashih Ulwan, a 20th century educational figure who is influential in the development of contemporary Islamic education. Ulwan offers a holistic concept of education by emphasising the cultivation of tawhid, noble character, balance, and the important role of parents and teachers. The research method used is a literature study by analysing Ulwan's main work, "Tarbiyatul Aulad fil Islam" and other relevant sources. The findings show that despite criticisms, Ulwan's thoughts are still relevant and can be implemented in modern Islamic education by adjusting strategies and methods according to the times. Ulwan emphasized the importance of instilling the values ​​of monotheism, noble morals and balance in children's education from an early age. He recommends effective educational methods, such as example, habituation, advice, educational punishment, and rewards. Apart from that, Ulwan also emphasized the important role of parents and teachers in the child's education process, as well as the importance of physical and social education for children.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the representation and cultivation of religious moderation values in the textbooks of students of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) and Budi Pekerti High School (SMA) subjects. The research method used is content analysis to explore the textbook content of PAI and Budi Pekerti students from various publishers commonly used in high schools. The study found that PAI textbooks emphasize moderate understanding and practice of Islamic teachings, with an emphasis on the values of tolerance, justice, and interfaith harmony. However, there are variations in the presentation of religious moderation, in which some textbooks may accentuate the dogmatic side without leaving room for more inclusive interpretations. Meanwhile, Budi Pekerti textbooks pay attention to the character and moral development of students, including values of religious moderation such as mutual respect, empathy, and social responsibility. However, there is a tendency to ignore certain aspects of religious moderation, such as the integration of beliefs into everyday life. The results of this study provide an overview of the extent to which religious moderation values are included in the high school curriculum, especially in PAI and Budi Pekerti subjects. The implications of these findings could be used as a basis for the development of a more balanced and inclusive curriculum, promoting a better understanding of religious moderation among younger generations.

Abstract

Tulisan ini berfungsi untuk menelaah pemikiran dari ahli filsfuf yang terkemuka tentang konsep pendidikan Islam. Adapun tokoh yang diteliti adalah Ibnu Sina dan Ibnu Khaldun. Keduanya merupakan salah satu ahli yang berpengarah dalam pendidikan Islam. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam tulisan merupakan penelitian kualititatif yang berjenis studi pustaka. Sumber data berasal dari buku literature dan artikel yang berkaitan dengan bidang pendidikan Islam, terutama buku Muqaddimah dan Kitab Assifa’. Penggunaan manual dan digital menjadi teknik dalam pengumpulan data. Kemudian data-data display sampai dengan direduksi menjadi data utuh yang baru. Setelah menjadi data yang utuh, dianalisis dan dituangkan dengan mengedepankan intertektualitas dan creativity meaning. Hasil penelitian memberikan bahwa dalam aspek tujuan pendidikan Islam, Ibnu Khaldun dan Ibnu Sina memiliki pandangan yang sama yaitu; 1) Guna membentuk Insan Kamil, 2) Guru harus memiliki model dan pendekatan dalam mengajar, 3) Penggunaan teknik yang sesuai ilmu yang ingin diajarkan, 4) Ilmu harus diimplementasikan sesuai kegunaannya. Sedangkan dalam (kurikulum, mapel, metode, pendidik, anak didik dan tingkatan pendidikan) terdapat perbedaan. Namun memiliki tujuan yang sama, walau berbeda pandangan dalam teori

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemikiran Al-Jîlî tentang Insân Kamîl    dan relevansinya dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional. Jenis Penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif non-interaktif yakni analisis konsep/isi (content analysis) dalam pendekatan penelitian studi tokoh. Sumber data penelitian  ini adalah buku Insan kamil  yang ditulis oleh Al-Jîlî sebagai data primer, dan jurnal,  artikel serta buku-buku lain yang terkait dengan tema penelitian ini sebagai sumber data sekunder.   Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa menurut Al-Jîlî Insân Kamîl    adalah manusia sempurna yang mencapai tingkat tertinggi dalam perkembangan rohani sebagai cerminan al-Ḥaq yang terdapat dalam dirinya nama-nama dan sifat-sifat ilâhîyah yang menyirnakan sifat-sifat hudust (kebaharuan) dalam dirinya, bukan berarti penyatuan Allah dengan seorang hamba, akan tetapi masuknya cahaya Allah kepada diri seorang hamba, untuk membuktikan eksistensi Allah swt, sebagai satu-satunya zat yang baqâ’ (kekal). Proses munculnya Insân Kamîl    harus melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu tajallî  al-af’âl al-Ḥaq, tajallî  al-asmâ’ al-Ḥaq, tajallî  al-shifah al-Ḥaq, tajallî  dzat al-Ḥaq. Adapun tingkatan Insân Kamîl    yaitu al-bidâyah,  al-tawasûṭ, al-khitâm. Pemikiran Al-Jîlî mengenai Insân Kamîl    tentunya relevan dengan tujuan pendidikan nasional,  yakni tujuan pendidikan nasional memiliki kriteria-kriteria yang dapat membangun karakter dan moralitas serta spiritualitas pada diri peserta didik serta mengembangkan seluruh potensi yang dimiliki peserta didik, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa isi dari tujuan pendidikan nasional menjadi tahapan dasar yang dapat membentuk peserta didik menjadi Insân Kamîl.

Abstract

Personality is the element that determines the interaction of educators with students as role models, educators must have personalities that can be used as profiles and idols. To examine the personality of educators, it is necessary to examine the previous scholars, because it is undeniable that there are not a few contributions given by the previous scholars, especially in the world of education, one of which is Sa'id Hawwa. The objectives of this research are. 1) To analyze the personality competencies of educators according to Sa'id Hawwa. 2) To analyze the relevance of the personality competencies of educators according to Sa'id Hawwa with contemporary Islamic education. In this research, the approach used is a qualitative approach with the type of character study research with two stages, namely inventory and critical evaluation. The data collection instrument in this study was documentation in the form of books by Sa'id Hawwa related to this research. The results show that 1) The personality competencies of educators according to Sa'id Hawwa are understanding, sincere, guiding the community, jihad/sincere, willing to sacrifice, obedient, consistent, brotherly/ukhuwah, honest, committed and intelligent. 2) The relevance of the personality competencies of educators according to Sa'id Hawwa with contemporary Islamic education is appropriate, even though the personality competencies of educators are contained in the Law on Educators and Lecturers No. 14 of 2005 which is intended for the public and decided nationally and is not based on Islam, but contains very Islamic values

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pemikiran pendidikan Islam menurut Prof. Dja’far Siddik serta menemukan relevansi pemikiran pendidikan Islam menurut Prof. Dja’far Siddik dengan pendidikan Islam di Indonesia saat ini. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kepustakaan (Library Research) dengan menggunakan pendekatan studi tokoh. Adapun sumber data primernya yaitu buku karangan Prof. Dja’far Siddik sedangkan data sekundernya yaitu buku-buku mengenai pendidikan Islam. Untuk menganalisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil dari penelitian pemikiran pendidikan Islam menurut Prof. Dja’far Siddik, adalah 1) Tujuan pendidikan Islam ialah bahwa, tujuan yaitu memperhambakan diri kepada Allah. 2) Peserta didik bukan manusia yang pasif, mereka memiliki potensi tersendiri sejak lahir. 3) Pendidik tidak sebatas guru melainkan siapa saja bisa jadi pendidik asalkan di dalamnya terdapat upaya-upaya untuk membantu orang lain agar dapat berkembang kearah yang lebih baik. 4) Kurikulum tidak hanya menyangkut masalah mata pelajaran tetapi juga mencakup keseluruhan dari berbagai kegiatan sekolah. 5) Metode pendidikan merupakan suatu cara yang digunakan untuk peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. 6) Pemikiran pendidikan Islam menurut Prof. Dja’far Siddik masih relevan dengan dengan Undang-undang Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang sistem pendidikan nasional dan Undang-undang Nomor 14 Tahun 2005 tentang guru dan dosen.

Abstract

Focusing on its comprehensive approach to character formation and individual growth, through analysis of the educational thought of Az-Zarnuji, a famous Islamic thinker from the 12th century. The purpose of this article is to examine Az-Zarnuji's writings about education in order to understand his beliefs in educational ideals, pedagogical approaches, and the importance of character education. This study analyzes Az-Zarnuji's main points by utilizing a text analysis and literature review approach. Based on his findings, Az-Zarnuji concluded that educating people to be happy and successful both in this world and the afterlife is the main goal of education. An emphasis on active learning, conversation, and reflection characterizes his pedagogical approach, which integrates theoretical understanding with real-world experience. Az-Zarnuji continued, character education is very important to create ethical and responsible humans. This article examines an educational initiative spearheaded by Az-Zarnuji to spread core ethical principles, including compassion, humility, perseverance, and honesty. The ideas put forward by Az-Zarnuji are very relevant considering modern educational practices. In this essay, we see how Az-Zarnuji's educational philosophy can influence the creation of a character-based curriculum and how teachers can provide the best service to their students by being an inspiration and role model. Teachers can do their part to instill strong moral character and commendable traits in the next generation by familiarizing themselves with Az-Zarnuji's educational philosophy and practicing its teachings.

Abstract

This research is to describe the management of teaching staff at MTs S YMPI ST. Raso Tanjungbalai City. The aim of this research is to reveal how planning, organizing, implementing and supervising teaching staff at MTs YMPI ST. Raso Tanjungbalai City. The method used is qualitative research, with research data collection obtained using triangulation techniques with data collection techniques through documentation, interviews and observation. The steps to analyze data are to collect data, reduce data, present data and then conclude. To test the validity of the data, credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability tests are used. The results of this research reveal three findings, namely planning of teaching staff at MTs. S YMPI ST. The Tanjungbalai City Raso has been implemented and structured correctly in accordance with existing provisions, namely the organization of teaching staff at MTs. S YMPI ST. Tanjungbalai City Raso has been carried out in accordance with predetermined procedures. As for the implementation of the teaching staff plan at MTs. S YMPI ST. Raso Kota Tanjungbalai is running as desired

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the form of the program, implementation and results of the implementation of the internalization of Islamic education in the Tamadun Mandiri campus program. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. This research uses three steps in collecting research data, namely: observation, interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting data, reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that: the forms of internalization of Islamic education programs in the independent Tamadun campus program are: Koran village program, Al-Qur'an study program or thematic study of the Koran, workshop program and program to commemorate Islamic holidays. Furthermore, the process of implementing internalization is carried out through: learning and teaching activities in lecture rooms, commemorating Islamic holidays, studying Islamic knowledge, implementing a clean civilization culture. The results of internalizing Islamic education in the independent Tamadun campus program are: the formation of a culture of clean civilization, the formation of a love for Al-Qur'an knowledge, respecting and observing Islamic holidays, and the formation of a Koran village program.

Abstract

Teachers are role models for students in the school environment, a teacher's personality has a huge influence on the morals of their students. The fact in the field is that there are still many teachers who do not reflect what should be an example for each of their students. This research aims to analyze the influence of teacher authority on the formation of student morals at SD Negeri 014628. This research is quantitative research using positivism methods. The data from this research were analyzed using the normality test, linearity test, and partial test or t-test formulas. The population in this study was 139 students at State Elementary School 014628, sampling in this study was carried out randomly, the sample size was 30 people. Data was collected using questionnaire and documentation techniques. From the results of partial test calculations (t-test), the value of t count is 5.767 > t table 2.048. And the significance value of the influence of variable X on variable Y is 0.001 < 0.005, which can be stated that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence between teacher authority (X) on the formation of student character (Y) so that the positive values taught by teachers such as discipline, ethics and responsibility can be implemented well by students in the future.Keywords:  Teacher Authority, students’ characters, elementary school
