Abstract

AbstractMergers and acquisitions (MA) is one method of doing business combinations (Novaliza & Djajanti, 2013; Ramadhariyansyah & Suwitho, 2013; Setiawan, 2013; Sukartha, 2013). This study aims to determine the predictability of stock’s beta listed on the Stock Exchange after the successful MA. Furthermore, this study is also to examine the effect of liquidity and financial leverage to Beta Stocks in companies listed on the Stock Exchange after MA. The Fowler and Rorke methods are used to correct the beta. The analysis method used is one sample t-test and multiple linear regression. The beta value of 0.79 is significant at the 5% level (2.86 > 2.13). The result indicated that the beta value has the ability to minimize the risk (predictable). Liquidity and Financial Leverage have no significant effect on Beta Stocks.AbstrakMerger dan akuisisi (MA) merupakan salah satu cara dalam melakukan penggabungan bisnis (Novaliza & Djajanti, 2013; Ramadhariyansyah & Suwitho, 2013; Setiawan, 2013; Sukartha, 2013). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prediktabilitas beta saham yang tercatat di Bursa Efek setelah MA. Lebih lanjut, penelitian ini juga untuk menguji pengaruh likuiditas dan financial leverage terhadap Beta saham pada perusahaan yang tercatat di Bursa Efek Indonesia setelah MA. Metode Fowler dan Rorke digunakan untuk mengkoreksi beta. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah one sample t-test dan multiple linear regression. Nilai beta sebesar 0,79 adalah signifikan pada tingkat 5% (2,86 > 2,13). Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa nilai beta memiliki kemampuan untuk meminimalkan risiko (predictable). Likuiditas dan Financial Leverage tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Beta Stocks.

Abstract

This research as a purpose to know what influence of liquidity and solvency ratio toward profitability ratio. Sample from this research is five enterprise in Indonesian Stock Exchange period 2007-2014. The data analysis technique used multiple linear regression analysis using Eviews 6. From the results of tests performed showed that liquidity statistically not significant affect profitability, as indicated by the probability of > 0,05 is 0,2761. Be different with solvency who were statistically significantly profitability, which is indicated by the probability of < 0,05 is 0,0460.

Abstract

In the life cycle theory of the company, it is stated that the Company which is at the established stage has the ability to make money beyond its ability to find profitable investment opportunities. The Company will distribute cash flow optimally to stakeholders in the form of dividend payments. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of retained earnings ratio (proxied with retained earnings to total equity) on the probability and rate of dividend payments based on the life cycle of the firm. Companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2012 - 2016 are designated as research objects. Meanwhile, the sample is selected using criteria considered by the researcher (judgment sampling). Hypothesis testing is done by using the statistical method that is probit and tobit regression. The research findings show that retained earnings have a positive and significant effect on the probability and rate of dividend payments. However, the results of the study do not show significant evidence that retained earnings have a stronger effect on the probability and firm level of paying dividends. Dalam teori siklus hidup perusahaan dinyatakan bahwa Perusahaan yang berada pada tahap mapan memiliki kemampuan dalam menghasilkan uang melebihi kemampuannya dalam menemukan peluang investasi yang menguntungkan. Perusahaan tersebut akan mendistribusikan aliran kas secara optimal kepada stakeholders berupa pembayaran dividen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji pengaruh rasio laba ditahan (diprosi dengan retained earnings to total equity) terhadap probabilitas dan tingkat pembayaran dividen berdasarkan siklus hidup perusahaan. Perusahaan yang listed di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode 2012 – 2016 ditetapkan sebagai objek penelitian. Sedangkan, sampel dipilih menggunakan criteria-kriteria yang dipertimbangkan oleh peneliti (judgment sampling). Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode statistik yaitu regresi probit dan tobit. Hasil penelitian kamimenunjukkan bahwa laba ditahan berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap probabilitas dan tingkat pembayaran dividen. Namun, hasil penelitian tidak memberikan bukti yang signifikan bahwa laba ditahan berpengaruh lebih kuat terhadap probabilitas dan tingkat perusahaan mapan membayar dividen.

This study aims to examine the effect of promotions, prices and tourist facilities on the satisfaction of visitors to Padang's Sweet Air Coast. This type of research is quantitative. Sampling using the Slovin formula so that the number of samples obtained is 100 people. The types of data used in this research are quantitative and qualitative data. While the data sources are primary and secondary data sources. The data analysis technique uses validity and reliability tests using the SPSS version 16.00 program. The hypothesis was tested using the t test at = 0.05. The results of this study indicate that promotion and price have a positive and significant effect on visitor satisfaction of Padang Air Sweet Beach tourism. Meanwhile, tourist facilities have no significant effect on the satisfaction of visitors to the Padang Air Sweet Beach tourism.

Abstract

This study aims to determine, The Influence of Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Empathy, and Price on Customer Satisfaction at Rangkayo Basa Hotel. The type of research used is quantitative research. The population in this study were all guests staying at the Rangkayo Basa Hotel. The sampling technique used in this study was probability sampling, while the sample was taken as many as 150 people. Data was collected through questionnaires and then analyzed descriptively and Independent-Sample T-Test with program SPSS version 16. The results showed that the variables of Reliability, Responsiveness, Empathy, Price are the main factors that determine high or low customer satisfaction. While the Tangibles variable, Assurance has a not too dominant contribution to customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of social media promotion as a marketing Strategy and service quality to improve purchasing decisions for financing servises products in PT. Toyota Astra Finance branch padang. The sampling method used a purposive sampling technique of 70 samples. The data analysis used was the research instrumenttest, classical assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results of this study show that social media promotion has a positive and significant effect on buyer decisions, service quality does not significantly affect purchasing decisions and simultaneously there is a significant influence on social media promotion and service quality on purchasing decisions

Abstract

The composite index is one indicator used by the government in making policies in the economic field. Previous research has proven the influence of macro variables on the composite index. The macro variables used in this study are inflation, SBI interest rates, and the exchange rate Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) to United States Dollar (USD). Furthermore, the aim of this paper is to predict the composite index based on macro variables in Indonesia. Time series data is taken from monthly data for three years (2015-2017). The design of this study is causal research estimated using time series regression. The results showed that inflation did not significantly influence the composite index. The result suggests that inflation is still quite stable during that period. Meanwhile, interest rates on Bank Indonesia certificates and exchange rates have a significant effect on the composite index. Thus, the ability of macro variables in predicting composite index can only be determined by SBI interest rates and exchange rates.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is meant to test influence of profitability and Leverage on stock returns. The population is all companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2015-2019 periods. The sample collection technique has been carried out by using purposive sampling method with 134 companies have been selected as samples. The analytical method used is regression analysis of panel data with the help of application E-Views 8. The result indicated that the profitability have positive and significant influence on Stock Return in Indonesia, and Leverage have negative and significant influence on Stock Return.

Abstract

The study conducted to enhance the knowledge about the influence of profitability and firm size to the Leverage. The population is all companies which are listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2017 periods. The sample collection technique has been carried out by using purposive sampling method and based on the predetermined criteria, 114 companies have been selected as samples. The data of the financial statement of the companies has been obtained from the official website of IDX. The analytical method used is regression analysis of panel data. The study show that profitability and firm size have negative and significant influence on leverage in Indonesia
