Abstract

There are honey-producing bees that have a sting and do not have a sting (stingless bee). The last type of bee is still rarely known to the public. To introduce these bees, socialization needs to be done. Socialization activities use the method of extension and dissemination of science and technology. This activity explains the conditions of the honey market in Indonesia, types of honey bees, determinants of production, benefits and techniques for harvesting honey and stingless bee pollen. During the activity, the participants enthusiastically listened to the material and played an active role, especially during the discussion and question and answer sessions regarding honey harvesting and pollen processing techniques. For the practice of stingless honey bee cultivation, bee colonies of the Heterotrigona itama species are given to the target community group

Abstract

Keanekaragaman hayati adalah keadaan diantara makhluk hidup yang beraneka ragam dari semua sumber, termasuk daratan, lautan, ekosistem akuatik, dan kompleks ekologis termasuk juga keanekaragaman dalam spesies diantara spesies dan ekosistemnya. Pembangunan Taman Keanekaragaman Hayati (Taman Kehati) di setiap kabupaten dan kota merupakan upaya menjawab isu tersebut. Permasalahan Taman Kehati Pematangsiantar belum terdokumentasinya jumlah dan jenis spesies tanaman, desain, dan peta sebaran vegetasi tanaman. Kegiatan identifikasi jenis tanaman yang terdapat di lokasi Taman Kehati Kota Pematangsiantar dilaksanakan dengan metode yang dilakukan dengan meman-faatkan teknologi Atrificial Intelligence (AI) yakni dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi PlantNet dengan menggunakan smartphone. Taman Kehati Kota Pematangsiantar terdapat 51 jenis dan dua jenis belum teridentifikasi. Kegiatan pengayaan jenis juga dilakukan untuk menambah koleksi jenis tanaman yang ada di Taman Kehati Kota Pematangsiantar. Terdapat 10 jenis pohon yang ditanam sebagai pengayaan di Taman Kehati didasarkan pada fungsi, tujuan dari keberadaan tanaman

Abstract

Pemberdayaan masyarakat merupakan salah satu upaya yang dilakukan Pemerintah dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat di setiap daerah. Sarana yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan kemampuan masyarakat adalah melalui pemberdayaan kepada usaha kecil menengah di sektor pariwisata sekitar pantai. Salah satu lokasi yang memiliki potensi sumber daya alam untuk kegiatan pariwisata adalah Barus, Tapanuli Tengah, khususnya Pantai Titik Nol KM. Abstract

Mangrove planting activities were carried out in the Kayu Besar village area, Bandar Khalipah District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, North Sumatra. The mangrove seedlings planted were of the Rhizopora mucronata species. The purpose of this activity was to minimize flooding in residential areas and improve the marine ecosystem, which is prone to flooding when the water rises and flows upstream and overflows into residential areas. Not only that, the planting of mangrove seedlings on the coast was carried out with the aim of minimizing abrasion in seawater, which could damage the coastal area. By raising awareness of the importance of mangrove trees, a higher level of conservation can be achieved. The function of mangroves here is as a barrier when seawater experiences high tides. With the presence of mangroves, the emergence of tidal waves can be dampened, thereby minimizing the impact of damage on land

Abstract

This research was conducted in the Karangsari area, Gunung Maligas District, Simalungun Regency from December 2024 to February 2025. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of doses of various types of manure and NPK Mutiara on the growth and production of pagoda mustard (Brassica narinosa L.). This study used a factorial Randomized Block Design (RAK) consisting of 2 factors, the first factor was the provision of various types of manure consisting of 4 treatment levels, namely K0 = no treatment, K1 = 2kg / chicken coop plot, K2 = 2kg / cow coop plot, K3 = 2 kg / goat coop plot. The second factor was the provision of NPK Mutiara fertilizer consisting of 3 treatment levels, namely: N1 = 20g / plot, N2 = 40g / plot, N3 = 60g / plot. Observed parameters: plant height (cm) at 14, 21 and 28 days after planting, number of leaves (strands) at 14, 21 and 28 days after planting DAP, gross weight per plant (g), net weight per plant (g), net weight per plot (kg). The results showed that the application of various types of manure, NPK Mutiara fertilizer, and a combination of both treatments on the growth and production of pagoda mustard greens showed a significant effect on plant height (cm) at 14, 21, and 28 DAP, number of leaves (blades) at 14, 21, and 28 DAP, gross weight per plant, gross weight per plot, net weight per plant, and net weight per plot. The best type of manure was chicken manure at a dose of 20 tons/ha, the best dose of NPK Mutiara fertilizer was at 600 kg/ha, and the best combination of both treatments was 20 tons/ha of chicken manure and 600 kg/ha of NPK Mutiara fertilizer.
