Abstract

Cellular communication system with multiple network operators operate on a co-located area (heterogeneus network) causing effect of radio frequency interference. RTWP (received total wideband power) value emerges as indicator radio frequency interference on UMTS system, which is primary contribution of degraded QoS cellular communication system. RF filter butterworth circuit two half section resulted as optimal design to reach the goal compare to the other circuit section. By implemented RF filter has showed improvement indicator perform RTWP on UMTS network operator. DOI: 10.24843/MITE.1501.11

Abstract

Abstract— The development of cellular telecommunication provides users to experience fast and stable transmission. This standard of transmission is proportional to the needs of the devices and systems used. We are currently in the fourth generation (4G) of cellular technology. The key technologies used in 4G are Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) which uses the concept of orthogonality for bandwidth efficiency and Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) which uses the concept of diversity to improve performance. But in implementation this system will have problems with the transmission channel. The problem that occurs is signal attenuation due to Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO). This CFO will cause the orthogonal character built from the OFDM system to experience a decline in performance. The decline in performance is due to the occurrence of Intercarrier Interference (ICI). To overcome this problem, the method used in this simulation are Improved Sinc Power Pulse (ISP) and Rectangular Pulse (REC). The results showed that ISP had a relatively better BER value than REC and without using the pulse shaping method. The minimum BER value obtained from the simulation is ISP with a value of 0.0001 while REC produces a value of 0.0006 and without pulse shaping produces a BER value of 0.0038.

Abstract

This paper gives an overview of the network integration of UMTS (Universal Mobile TelecommunicationSystem) with WiMAX (Wordwide Interoperability of Microwave Access). A few proposed interworking solutionsand seamless integration of both networks are explained. The best architecture and key procedures that will enablethe integration both networks and handover mechanism for the seamless mobility are presented. Considering thetrend of the current network evolution, which is the convergence between the telecommunications and broadcastworlds, an integration of mobile WiMAX with present 2G, 2.5G or 3G accesses into a homogeneous architecturegoes a long way to achieve the reality of mobile broadband networks. Abstract

Paper ini mengusulkan contrast stretching sebagai perbaikan kualitas citra untuk meningkatkan hasil segmentasi pada proses segmentasi video. Data video yang digunakan merupakan video pemantauan aktifitas pergerakan garis pantai. Frame dari video yang digunakan memiliki komposisi cahaya matahari berbeda-beda sesuai dengan waktu akuisisi data. Dibutuhkan suatu teknik untuk mengatasi pengaruh cahaya matahari pada frame video. Contrast stretching diimplementasikan untuk memperbaiki nilai kontras pada frame sehingga obyek pada frame terlihat jelas. Dengan obyek yang terlihat jelas pada frame dapat meningkatkan hasil dari proses segmentasi. Pengujian implementasi contrast stretching sebagai preprocessing pada proses segmentasi dilakukan dengan metode silhouette coefficient. Implementasi contrast stretching sebagai preprocessing dalam segmentasi citra dapat menghasilkan segmentasi lebih baik dibandingkan tanpa preprocessing. Hal tersebut dinyatakan berdasarkan nilai silhouette width dari masing-masing hasil segmentasi citra.

Abstract

The combination of the system has been doing to improve the reliability of wireless communication. One parameter that indicates the reliability of wireless communication is to reduce the value of BER. The 4G technology uses OFDM transmission technique combined with MIMO antenna technique. Other than that, the combination between transmission technique can also be done, by incorporating the concept of multicarrier (OFDM) and spread spectrum as known as multicarrier spread spectrum (MC-SS). The combination of OFDM, spread spectrum, and MIMO are supported by the advantages of each of these techniques is expected to give a good performance in supporting the reliability of wireless communication. This research aimed to compare the value of BER vs. Eb/No between MC-SS MIMO system and OFDM MIMO system. The test of these systems are conducted by simulation using MatLab 2012 which aims to provide an overview of other related technologies are capable of providing wireless communication reliability. The results of the simulation shows that the value of BER on MC-SS MIMO system is lower than MIMO OFDM system for all Eb/No. This condition also applies to AWGN and Rayleigh Fading channel.

Abstract

Nowadays the use of TCP / IP networks at this time is very crucial, where almost all companies, government and private agencies depend on this network to facilitate business and communication to grow up the companies. Network failure caused by link failure or devices failure is very intolerable because it will disrupt business and communication activities that last 24 days, 7 days a week. To overcome the problem of network failure this study is using three methods which will be discussed, namely: VRRP, HSRP and GLBP. It is expected that the use of these three methods can provide a solution to overcome network failures for the smooth running of business and telecommunications activities. The results of the tests that have been done, GLBP method looks better when compared to the VRRP and HSRP methods, especially in testing packet loss and throughput. Abstract

Video streaming merupakan salah satu layanan aplikasi multimedia real time yang tersedia pada jaringan Universal Mobile Telecomunication System (UMTS). Banyaknya layanan telekomunikasi yang dapat dilayani UMTS tidak sebanding dengan bandwidth yang disediakan. Salah satu metode yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan video streaming pada jaringan UMTS adalah dengan menerapkan metode antrian Differented Service (DiffServ). DiffServ menyediakan pembedaan layanan, dengan membagi trafik atas kelas-kelas, dan memperlakukan setiap kelas secara berbeda. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan metode antrian DiffServ pada layanan video streaming jaringan UMTS terhadap variasi trafik 25%, 50% dan 75% dengan simulasi jaringan OPNET Simulator 14.5. Metode antrian DiffServ yang digunakan adalah Priority Queuing (PQ), Weighted Fair Queuing (WFQ) dan Modified Weighted Round Robin (MWRR). Parameter kualitas layanan yang digunakan adalah jitter, end-to-end delay dan packet loss. Dari hasil analisis diperoleh bahwa penerapan metode DiffServ pada variasi trafik adalah dapat meningkatkan kualitas layanan video streaming pada jaringan UMTS. Untuk penerapan metode antrian PQ, WFQ dan MWRR menghasilkan perbedaan nilai yang tidak jauh berbeda. Variasi trafik 50% memiliki kualitas layanan yang lebih baik dari pada variasi lainnya.

Abstract

Ceki is one of the traditional card games that has been quite popular in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. In Bali the game of ceki has become a tradition, where the game is played when there is community activity. Multiplayer online games are one way to introduce and develop traditional games to be more interesting to play. The problems that are often faced to develop multiplayer online games include the latency problems that are different from each player so that it can interfere with games from other players who have better latency. In this study, a real time multiplayer online game will be built to play traditional games. discussing how the rules of traditional games obtained from the rules of the Balinese game will be applied to the game engine from online multiplayer games, how to implement online game multiplayer architecture on client-server and peer to peer web-browsers. The focus of this research is on the performance of the use of websocket and webRTC on latency and bandwidth usage for data synchronization that supports real time multiplayer online games based on peer to peer. The results obtained from this study see the average latency needed to synchronize data between websocket compared to webRTC is very significant. The number of players has no effect on latency in both websocket and webRTC.

Abstract

Bali is a province in Indonesia known by many countries because of its unique natural and cultural attractions. Balinese traditional village as well known as Desa Adat manage those tourist attractions. Also, Desa Adat has a role in preserving Balinese culture because Desa Adat routinely holds cultural activities such as performing arts and religious ceremonies. The rapid development of technology has brought the internet and smartphones to Desa Adat. These developments have had various positive impacts, for example, the ease of accessing information through the internet and information technology. Desa Adat can utilize information technology to facilitate various activities. However, there are still Desa Adat in Bali that has not utilized information technology therefore, the potential of these villages is not maximized. In the future, there are still many new technologies that will become trends. Therefore, it is not too late for Desa Adat in Bali to utilize information technology. This journal examines previous research on the use of information technology in villages. The purpose of this study is to obtain several aspects of Desa Adat in Bali that can be accommodated by information technology, therefore, the role of Desa Adat in Bali can be optimized.

Abstract

Communication network depends on the WLAN , and there is so much demand on the Quality Of Service (QoS) WLAN like Throughput , delay , and filter to secure the Communication Data , therefore a network security mechanism is using the Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP), WiFi Protected Access (WPA), and WPA2 [14]. Mall Bali Galleria has several alternative for free WiFi, There is so many Wi-Fi has been installed causing the problem interference, and that affect the performance of the WiFi, MBG has the Indoor and Outdoor Area, The alternative to handle the interference is to using the automation channel by implementing Channel Fly , Background Scanning and Static Channel. From the security mechanism, Channel And Frequencies made by doing scenario on every single access point to get the best scenario , from the scenario that has been submitted The best score of the packet loss on indoor area Scenario that uses 4 AP with the 5Ghz Frequency , static channel , WEP-64 is 0,016ms of the packet loss , the Outdoor areas scenario that uses 5 AP with 5Ghz frequency ,Channel Fly , WEP-64 get 0,094ms of the packet loss , The best jitter score for the indoor area that uses 2 AP , 5Ghz Background Scanning , WPA 2 is 1.336ms of the jitter, outdoor area 8 AP , 5Ghz Frequency , static channel , WPA2-Mixed get 1,116 ms of Jitter , The Throughput best scores is indoor area with 1 AP , 5Ghz Frequency, Static Channel , WPA2-Mixed get 78,7Mbps of the Throughput, for the Outdoor Areas using 8 AP , 5Ghz Frequency , Background Scanning, Disable Security is 80Mbps Of The Throughput , if it compared with the existing scenario the performance is improved to 10-30%. WEP has good packet loss score however it has smallest Throughput. Static channels are recommended on the location that have high interference.
