Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes through the use of teams games tournament (TGT) learning. This classroom action research was carried out in class VII B of SMP Negeri 10 Manokwari. The research subjects were 18 students. The cycle was carried out as much as and and a test to measure student learning outcomes. The results of the study show that the use of TGT learning can improve student learning outcomes. It is proven by the percentage of the average classical completeness score of students' learning outcomes in the first cycle of 77.8% and increased in the second cycle to 88.8%. The findings indicate that student learning outcomes has met the 75% classical standard. Student activity has also increased. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the application of TGT can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

For plant diversity course, teaching materials in the form of interactive e-modules were not yet available. The diversity of sago plants has been compiled in the form of a supplementary book, but was limited to the printed type. This research aimed to develop flipbook-based e-module teaching materials integrated with local wisdom in the plant diversity course. The e-module contains local wisdom about the diversity of sago plants which were differentiated based on the color of the leaf shoots and the varying shape of the midrib as well as the use of the local (regional) language of the Tehit Kna tribe. E-module was expected to be a bridge in the process of digitizing teaching materials. The data source for this research was 9 active students from the Biology Education Department, odd semester for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research was conducted at the Department of Biology Education, University of Papua Manokwari and used the R&D research method with the ADDIE model but was limited to the following stages: Design, design, framework and preparation of the e-module from the front view, the contents of the book to the back cover of the book; Development, validation of flipbook-based e-module teaching material prototypes by media experts; and Evaluation, assessing each stage until the product produced in the form of an interactive e-module based on a flipbook integrated with local wisdom was declared valid and practical. The research results show that the e-module was very valid (96.5%) and very practical (95.56%).

Abstract

Berdasarkan pengamatan awal di kelas, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk bahan ajar biologi berbasis inkuiri tentang bahan keanekaragaman hayati yang terintegrasi dengan potensi lokal di SMA N 1 Warmare. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D), yaitu metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk menciptakan atau menghasilkan produk baru yang efektivitasnya akan diuji kemudian sebelum produk tersebut digunakan di suatu lembaga atau sebagainya. Penelitian ini menggunakan model ADDIE (Analisis-Desain-Pengembangan-Implementasi-Evaluasi) dalam bentuk bahan ajar biologi berbasis inkuiri tentang bahan keanekaragaman hayati yang terintegrasi dengan potensi lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat validitas dan kepraktisan. Hasil penelitian tentang validasi bahan ajar biologi dinilai oleh validator dengan nilai yang harus sangat valid atau valid sebagai syarat agar perangkat tersebut dapat diimplementasikan dan memenuhi kriteria. Hasil validasi bahan ajar menunjukkan 89% berada dalam kategori sangat valid. Hasil kuesioner tanggapan siswa memperoleh respons positif, yaitu 93,75% dalam kategori sangat praktis. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang telah dijelaskan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar biologi berbasis inkuiri tentang keanekaragaman hayati yang terintegrasi dengan potensi lokal di SMA N 1 Warmare cocok digunakan karena telah dikategorikan sangat valid dan praktis, sehingga dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
