Abstract

Permasalahan utama di Kenagarian Aur Duri, Kecamatan Surantih, Pesisir Selatan, adalah rendahnya literasi al-Qur'an yang dipicu oleh kualitas pembelajaran TPQ yang belum memadai. Guru-guru TPQ masih menerapkan proses pembelajaran yang sederhana dan kurang efektif, tanpa didukung media, kurikulum, dan bahan ajar yang terstruktur. Secara empiris, kondisi ini terkonfirmasi dari asesmen awal yang menunjukkan bahwa 75% guru belum memiliki kompetensi mengajar yang layak dan diperparah oleh ketiadaan lembaga manajemen yang menaungi perkumpulan guru TPQ di nagari tersebut. Menanggapi permasalahan ini, Program pengabdian masyarakat ini menyelenggarakan Pelatihan Peningkatan Kapasitas dan Manajemen Guru TPQ. Metode Kegiatan yang digunakan meliputi seminar, sesi praktik (simulasi mengajar), dan diskusi terfokus mengenai teknik pembelajaran al-Qur'an modern, penyusunan bahan ajar, serta perintisan struktur manajemen lembaga TPQ. Hasil dari kegiatan ini membuktikan peningkatan kompetensi guru secara signifikan. Peningkatan ini ditunjukkan dengan kenaikan rata-rata skor post-test sebesar 30 poin dan keberhasilan 90% peserta dalam menyusun rencana pembelajaran yang terstruktur. Selain itu, kegiatan ini berhasil meningkatkan kesadaran peserta mengenai urgensi pembentukan lembaga manajemen TPQ. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah bahwa intervensi melalui pelatihan yang didukung data empiris merupakan strategi efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas guru dan manajemen lembaga TPQ, yang menjadi fondasi utama untuk memberantas rendahnya literasi al-Qur'an di Kenagarian Aur Duri secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the keadabiahan program in shaping the religious character of students at SMP Adabiah Padang. Religious character is a crucial aspect of character education, particularly in schools that are not explicitly based on Islamic values. The keadabiahan program is designed as a strategy for developing students’ personalities to be noble in character, disciplined, and highly aware of religious obligations. This research employs a qualitative field study approach, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews with the principal, teachers, and students, and documentation of the implemented keadabiahan programs. Data analysis was conducted descriptively through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the implementation of the keadabiahan program is carried out through routine activities such as habituation of congregational prayer, maintaining etiquette in communication and behavior both inside and outside the classroom, environmental manners, and manners during eating and drinking. The program is supported by a religious school environment and active participation from the entire school community. Findings indicate that the program significantly contributes to shaping students’ religious character, as evidenced by increased worship discipline, politeness, and social awareness. Thus, the keadabiahan program at SMP Adabiah Padang can serve as an effective model for religious character development and can be replicated in other schools with similar visions.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze Aristotle's Virtue Ethics theory as portrayed in the film Bhajrangi Bhaijaan and to examine its relevance to Islamic Religious Education. The research is grounded in the importance of instilling universal moral values in education and explores how popular media such as film can represent ethical principles that align with Islamic teachings. A qualitative method with a content analysis approach was employed. The primary data source is the film Bhajrangi Bhaijaan directed by Kabir Khan, supported by secondary data from relevant literature, including journals, books, articles, and previous studies. Data collection was conducted through observation and documentation, encompassing preparation, implementation, and completion phases. The findings reveal that five core aspects of Aristotle’s Virtue Ethics, courage, generosity, justice, modesty, and benevolence are explicitly depicted in various scenes throughout the film. The film not only illustrates noble behavior consistent with Aristotle’s virtues but also conveys universal messages of humanity, compassion, and mutual assistance. In the context of Islamic Religious Education, these values hold strong relevance, as all of the aforementioned virtues are emphasized in the Qur’an and Hadith. Thus, the film can serve as a contextual learning medium to strengthen Islamic character formation and broaden students' understanding of ethical values across cultures.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the phenomenon of the increasing popularity of charity content on social media, particularly on the YouTube channel of Pratiwi Noviyanthi, which not only plays a role in providing aid but also spreads values of kindness and inspires many. However, behind the public appreciation, this content also faces diverse responses regarding the authenticity of its intentions and its long-term impact. The aim of this research is to explain the Islamic educational values embedded in the charity-themed content on Pratiwi Noviyanthi’s YouTube channel, the way they are presented, and the impact they have on the audience and the recipients of the aid. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research, employing literature study, observation, and content analysis methods for data collection. The results indicate that the Islamic educational values in the content encompass aspects of aqidah (such as faith, tawakal, and gratitude), shari'ah (such as helping others, sharing, and charity), and akhlak (such as empathy, compassion, and sincerity). These values are conveyed naturally through exemplary actions, Islamic language, inspirational stories, and direct invitations to the audience. The impact is felt positively, both by the audience, who are inspired to increase their social concern and faith, and by the aid recipients, who experience physical, mental, and spiritual changes. The main conclusion of this research is that Pratiwi Noviyanthi's charity content is not only entertaining but also effectively internalizes Islamic educational values in the digital society. The implications of this research include theoretical benefits, such as the development of Islamic education concepts in social media and as a reference for future research, as well as practical benefits, such as serving as a guideline for content creators, society, and policymakers in creating educational and ethical digital content.

Abstract

The development of information technology has had a significant impact on the learning process, including in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). However, low student interest in learning at SMA Negeri 1 Luhak Nan Duo remains a major challenge in optimizing PAI instruction. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Padlet media in efforts to increase student interest in PAI. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation involving PAI teachers and tenth-grade students in Phase E4. The results show that the use of Padlet media positively influences students' learning interest, as evidenced by increased active participation, attention, and engagement during lessons. Students showed greater enthusiasm and felt more motivated to follow the lessons when Padlet was used as a learning medium. The conclusion of this study is that the use of Padlet media is effective in increasing students’ interest in learning PAI. The implications of this study suggest that integrating technology into learning not only enriches teaching methods but also helps create a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment. Therefore, digital media such as Padlet can be recommended as an alternative in the learning process at schools, especially in supporting students’ interest in learning.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the need for teachers to develop innovative learning strategies that enhance student interest through engaging and interactive media. One promising approach is the use of puzzle games as a learning medium to facilitate understanding and encourage active student participation. The objective of this research is to examine the effectiveness of interactive learning media based on puzzle games in improving students’ interest and academic achievement in Islamic Religious Education at SMPN 3 Padang Panjang. A quantitative method with a pre-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design was employed, involving 28 students as the sample. Data were collected through a pretest, treatment using the puzzle game media, posttest, and a learning interest questionnaire, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics with the aid of SPSS. The results indicate a significant increase in the average learning outcome from 39.18 to 79.18 after the intervention, with a statistically significant Wilcoxon Signed Rank test result (p = 0.001). Linear regression analysis showed a positive effect of the media on learning outcomes (p = 0.014), and an N-Gain score of 0.6532 indicated a moderate to high improvement consistently across students. The study concludes that puzzle game media are effective in enhancing students’ interest and academic performance, while also promoting active participation in the learning process. The implications of this study span pedagogical and psychological aspects, suggesting that interactive media serve as an innovative strategy to enrich teaching methods, boost motivation, and integratively foster students' spiritual and moral character.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fenomena Living Qur'an dalam rangkaian tradisi pranikah masyarakat Minangkabau serta peran otoritas Niniak Mamak dalam mengintegrasikan hukum Munakahat Islam ke dalam tatanan adat. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif berbasis studi literatur sepuluh tahun terakhir (2016-2026), riset ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana teks al-Qur'an dipahami, difungsikan, dan direspon dalam praktik sosial-budaya. Kebaruan penelitian ini secara eksplisit terletak pada analisis komprehensif mengenai dialektika antara teks suci dan praktik lokal yang dimediasi oleh otoritas tradisional dalam satu dekade terakhir, guna menutup kesenjangan analisis terkait fungsi spesifik ayat Al-Qur'an sebagai instrumen perlindungan (himayah) dan legitimasi nasab. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa praktik Living Qur'an termanifestasi secara sistematis melalui tahapan ritual seperti Khatam al-Qur'an sebagai prasyarat kedewasaan religius, serta Malam Bainai yang mengalihfungsikan ayat-ayat suci sebagai sarana perlindungan (himayah) dan keberkahan (tabarruk). Ayat-ayat spesifik seperti QS. Ar-Rum: 21 digunakan secara fungsional sebagai fondasi filosofis pembentukan keluarga sakinah, mawaddah, wa rahmah, sementara QS. An-Nahl: 72 diintegrasikan untuk memperkuat legitimasi nasab dalam sistem matrilineal. Peran Niniak Mamak ditemukan sangat krusial, tidak hanya sebagai pemegang otoritas administratif dalam pemberian izin nikah (model NA), tetapi juga sebagai komunikator budaya yang menjelaskan status hukum pernikahan (Wajib, Sunnah, Mubah, Makruh, Haram) kepada calon mempelai. Secara filosofis, integrasi ini mencerminkan adagium Adat Basandi Syarak, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah, di mana Niniak Mamak bertindak sebagai hakam (mediator) yang menyelaraskan nilai-nilai al-Qur'an dengan kearifan lokal guna menjamin ketahanan moral dan sosial keluarga.

Abstract

Kematangan psikologi dan kesehatan mental merupakan salah satu fondasi bagi remaja yang mengalami perubahan intens baik dalam aspek individu dan sosial. Penanaman dan implementasi nilai Pancasila serta keislaman pada siswa usia remaja diharapkan dapat menjadi benteng pengaruh negatif yang terdapat di lingkungan remaja, baik dalam dunia maya maupun nyata. Kegiatan program PKM ini disusun dalam bentuk pengarahan dan diskusi terpumpun yang dilaksanakan di MAN 1 Pariaman melalui beberapa tema diantaranya (1) kematangan psikologi remaja ditinjau dari aspek kognitif, emosional, dan sosial; (2) penyimpangan nilai-nilai Islami dan dampaknya terhadap kesehatan mental remaja; (3) media digital, literasi digital, dan kematangan psikologi dan kesehatan mental remaja. Berdasarkan poin-poin yang disampaikan pemateri, peserta memperoleh pengayaan terkait pentingnya memiliki kontrol diri, pengembangan kemampuan berfikir objektif, dan kemampuan beradaptasi dalam mengelola emosi. Selain itu, peserta juga memahami bahwa sikap mandiri, tanggungjawab, penerimaan terhadap kritik dan komunikasi efektif akan membantu dalam aspek sosial yang didukung dengan implementasi nilai-nilai etika dan moral seperti tertuang dalam Pancasila dan nilai-nilai keislaman. Beberapa poin diskusi terpumpun yang melibatkan penyimpangan terhadap nilai islami membantu siswa memahami bahwa penerapan nilai islami yang sesuai dan terarah akan mendukung kesehatan mental, mengurangi fikiran dan emosi negatif yang muncul, dan mendukung siswa untuk meraih prestasi dan menggali potensi diri. Disamping itu, diskusi terkait penggunaan media digital dan literasi digital mengarahkan peserta agar dapat bersikap bijak dalam pergaulan. Upaya-upaya tersebut adalah bentuk kepedulian tim PKM dan mitra untuk mendukung kematangan psikologi dan kesehatan mental remaja guna mempersiapkan generasi muda yang stabil, produktif, dan berkualitas.
