Abstract

The development of information technology has encouraged companies to implement fingerprint-based attendance systems to improve the effectiveness and accuracy of employee attendance recording. However, in its implementation, several problems are still found, such as system errors, delays in fingerprint reading, and technical disturbances that can affect user convenience. This study aims to evalUATe the fingerprint-based attendance information system at PT GIRVI MASS using the User Acceptance Testing (UAT) method and the PIECES Framework. The UAT method was used to measure the level of user acceptance toward the system, while the PIECES Framework was applied to analyze system quality based on the aspects of Performance, Information, Efficiency, and Service. This research used a quantitative method by distributing questionnaires with a Likert scale to 30 respondents who were employees of PT GIRVI MASS. The collected data were analyzed using the weighted mean method and UAT percentage calculations. The results showed that the system obtained a UAT percentage score of 82.6%, which falls into the “Very Good” category. The PIECES Framework analysis also indicated that the system was able to improve the attendance process to become more effective, efficient, and user-friendly. Nevertheless, several technical issues were still identified, especially related to system stability and error handling. Therefore, the company is advised to conduct regular maintenance and system development to further improve system quality in the future

Abstract

Inventory management at the Frisian Flag Distributor requires a system capable of determining procurement priorities accurately and objectively. Inaccurately determining which items should be prioritized often leads to problems such as overstock, understock, and the risk of losses due to expired goods. To address these issues, a decision support system using the MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the Basis of Ratio Analysis) method with ROC (Rank Order Centroid) weighting was implemented. ROC weighting is used to determine the importance of each criterion based on priority order, while the MOORA method is used in the normalization process, calculating optimization values, and determining alternative rankings. The criteria used in the decision-making process include sales level, remaining stock, market demand, product price, and expiration date. Data processing results show that the combination of the MOORA and ROC methods can produce a systematic, measurable, and objective order of stock procurement priorities. The designed system can assist distributor management in making faster and more accurate decisions. The implementation of this method is expected to improve inventory management efficiency and minimize the risk of losses due to errors in determining procurement priorities.

Abstract

Driver scheduling is an important process in public transportation operations because it is related to workload distribution, fleet readiness, and service quality. At Koperasi Pengangkutan Umum Medan (KPUM), driver scheduling priorities are still determined conventionally, making decisions potentially subjective and difficult to trace quantitatively. This study aims to develop a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) to determine driver scheduling priorities using the Weighted Product method. The assessment criteria consist of route mastery, discipline, work experience, working time, and health condition. Data were obtained through observation, interviews, and internal assessment of ten active drivers. The analysis process includes weight normalization, construction of compatibility ratings, S vector calculation, V vector calculation, and alternative ranking. The calculation results show that alternative A8, Binarto, obtains the highest preference value of 0.1311, followed by A5 with 0.1265 and A9 with 0.1234. Functional testing indicates that the login feature, data management, calculation process, and ranking display run according to the test scenarios. The proposed system can assist KPUM in preparing scheduling priorities in a faster, measurable, and more transparent manner.

Abstract

The alignment between tutors' professional expertise and their competencies is a key factor in creating effective learning processes at LPK2 Pascom Medan, a computer education and training institution. The current practice of assigning tutors to teaching fields relies primarily on managerial judgment, resulting in decisions that may not be entirely objective due to the need to consider multiple criteria, including educational background, teaching experience, professional certifications, technical competence, and performance evaluation results. This complexity necessitates a systematic approach to support decision-making. This study aims to design and implement a Decision Support System for determining tutors' professional specialization by applying the Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE). The PROMETHEE method was selected because it can evaluate and rank alternatives based on multiple criteria through the calculation of leaving flow, entering flow, and net flow values. The research methodology consists of problem identification, data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation, determination of evaluation criteria and their respective weights, followed by the calculation and ranking of alternatives using the PROMETHEE method. The expected outcome is a Decision Support System capable of providing objective, consistent, and transparent recommendations for assigning tutors to appropriate professional fields. The proposed system is expected to improve the accuracy of tutor placement, enhance the quality of learning, and serve as a valuable reference for human resource management in education and training institutions.
