Abstract

Accurate This research develops an Internet of Things (IoT)-based online control system for oxygen cylinder manifolds in medical facilities. This system utilizes pressure sensors, ESP32 modules, and cloud platforms to monitor oxygen pressure in real-time. For example, the pressure sensor used can accurately measure the oxygen pressure in the cylinder and transfer the data to the ESP32 module for processing. Then, the data is sent via Wi-Fi network to a web dashboard and mobile application. For example, medical personnel can easily monitor oxygen pressure from their smartphones, even when they are not in the same room as the oxygen cylinder. In addition, this system is equipped with an automatic alarm mechanism via the Notification App if an anomaly occurs such as a decrease in pressure or leakage. For example, if the oxygen pressure in the cylinder drops below a safe limit, the Notification App will automatically alert medical personnel to take immediate action. The test results showed a response time of less than 4 seconds and a sensor accuracy rate of ±2%. With fast response time and high accuracy, the system can provide timely and accurate information to medical personnel. The system offers an economical and scalable solution to improve the efficiency and safety of oxygen gas distribution in hospitals. In addition, the implementation of this system can reduce operational costs in manual monitoring of oxygen cylinders, saving time and resources. By adopting IoT technology in oxygen management in medical facilities, hospitals can improve the quality of patient care and ensure sufficient oxygen availability consistently.

Abstract

A clean and healthy lifestyle is vital in maintaining health, especially for school-age children. For example, washing hands regularly with soap can help prevent the spread of germs and diseases. Likewise, brushing your teeth properly at least twice daily can reduce the risk of dental and oral health problems such as cavities or gingivitis. The community service activities carried out aim to provide understanding and skills to students at elementary and secondary education levels in terms of washing their hands and brushing their teeth properly. For example, through interactive lectures, students can learn directly how to properly wash their hands. In addition, with demonstrations and direct practice, students can directly try the correct steps themselves. At SD Wonosari 2 Semarang, this activity was attended by 147 participants from various levels of education, such as SD Wonosari 2, SMP Negeri 28, and SMK Bina Nusantara. With the pretest-posttest evaluation method, the results showed that there was a significant increase in students' understanding and practice after participating in this educational activity. This shows how important education about a clean and healthy lifestyle is for the younger generation to prevent infectious diseases and maintain overall health.

Abstract

Technological advancements in healthcare have increased the demand for professionals in biomedical engineering. However, high school students' understanding of this field remains limited. This community service activity aimed to introduce the Biomedical Engineering study program, medical equipment, and related career prospects to senior high school students. The activity was conducted at SMAN 1 Pegandon, Kendal Regency, using lectures, demonstrations, group discussions, simulations, and a pre-test–post-test design to assess knowledge improvement. The results showed a 105.4% increase in students' knowledge scores, and 80% of participants expressed interest in the field. Furthermore, 90% of students reported gaining new insights into non-clinical healthcare professions. Exposure to devices such as patient monitors, ECGs, and defibrillators enriched the students' learning experience. This program successfully enhanced students' medical technology literacy and interest in vocational education in biomedical engineering.

Abstract

Masyarakat mempunyai peran yang sangat penting untuk memenuhi stok darah di Indonesia. Semakin banyak masyarakat yang mendonor darahnya, maka kebutuhan stok darah akan tercukupi. Namun, kesadaran masyarakat tentang manfaat dan pentingnya donor darah masih kurang. Tingginya kebutuhan darah di Indonesia dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat terhadap pentingnya donor darah mendorong civitas akademik Politeknik Bina Trada Semarang melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat tentang pentingnya donor darah dengan tujuan sebagai bakti sosial kepada masyarakat, mewujudkan sikap peduli dan sukarela kita dalam membantu sesama, mengedukasi pentingnya donor darah bagi masyarakat, memperbaiki kesalahfahaman masyarakat terhadap donor darah dan transfusi darah, dan memberikan pengecekan kesehatan gratis bagi masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Aula Kelurahan Tembalang Semarang dengan sasaran peserta anggota kelompok PKK Kelurahan Tembalang, pemerintah Kelurahan Tembalang, dan masyarakat umum. Secara umum acara berjalan dengan baik dan lancar.

Abstract

Perangkat ultrasound terapi berbasis ESP32 dengan kontrol duty cycle dan amplitudo menggunakan MOSFET telah dirancang dan diimplementasikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem yang mampu menghasilkan frekuensi 1 MHz dan 3 MHz dengan amplitudo serta duty cycle yang dapat disesuaikan sesuai kebutuhan terapi. Pengujian dilakukan pada beberapa aspek utama, termasuk tegangan daya, keakuratan timer, serta kualitas sinyal ultrasound yang dihasilkan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem daya berfungsi dengan baik, dengan selisih tegangan aktual yang masih dalam batas toleransi dari nilai teoritis. Pengujian timer menunjukkan deviasi waktu yang kecil, dengan perbedaan maksimum 5,17 detik, yang masih dapat diterima dalam konteks aplikasi terapi. Selain itu, analisis sinyal ultrasound menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu menghasilkan frekuensi 1 MHz dan 3 MHz dengan tingkat akurasi yang tinggi, serta amplitudo dan duty cycle yang dapat dikontrol sesuai pengaturan yang diberikan. Berdasarkan evaluasi keseluruhan, sistem yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi spesifikasi yang diperlukan untuk aplikasi ultrasound terapi. Namun, beberapa perbaikan lebih lanjut, seperti optimasi kontrol timer dan pengujian lebih lanjut dalam berbagai kondisi lingkungan, masih diperlukan untuk meningkatkan keandalan sistem dalam jangka panjang.

Abstract

Retinopati Diabetik (RD) merupakan komplikasi mikrovaskular akibat diabetes melitus yang dapat menyebabkan kebutaan. Deteksi otomatis berbasis citra fundus retina menjadi solusi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan akurasi diagnosis. Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem klasifikasi otomatis tingkat keparahan RD menggunakan metode ekstraksi fitur Tapis Gabor dan algoritma Support Vector Machine (SVM). Citra fundus diklasifikasikan ke dalam empat kelas: normal, mild, moderate, dan severe. Ekstraksi fitur dilakukan pada dua objek utama, yaitu pembuluh darah dan eksudat, menggunakan parameter statistik orde pertama berupa mean, variance, dan entropy dari hasil konvolusi Tapis Gabor. Klasifikasi menggunakan SVM dengan kernel Radial Basis Function dan dievaluasi melalui 10-fold stratified cross-validation. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sistem berbasis fitur pembuluh darah memberikan akurasi, sensitivitas, dan spesifisitas rerata masing-masing sebesar 92,9%, 92,9%, dan 96,7%. Sementara itu, sistem berbasis eksudat menghasilkan akurasi 82,1%, sensitivitas 82,1%, dan spesifisitas 94%. Fitur pembuluh darah lebih stabil dalam mengidentifikasi seluruh kelas RD, sedangkan eksudat berkontribusi signifikan pada deteksi tingkat keparahan tinggi. Kombinasi kedua fitur direkomendasikan untuk meningkatkan performa sistem klasifikasi.

Abstract

Health is a basic right that greatly affects the quality of life of the community, but there are still many individuals who are unaware of the importance of regular health checkups and voluntary blood donation. Based on this background, this community service activity aims to raise awareness among the community, especially students at the State Islamic University (UIN) Salatiga, about the importance of basic health checkups and contributing to blood donation activities. The problems faced are low public participation in voluntary blood donation and a lack of understanding about early detection of metabolic diseases. The objectives of this activity are to provide free health checkups, organize voluntary blood donations, and provide education about healthy lifestyles and the importance of regular blood donation. The methods used in this activity were educational, preventive, and collaborative approaches, involving electromedical technology for blood sugar, uric acid, and cholesterol checks using portable devices that enable fast and accurate results. The results of this activity showed high participant participation in blood donation and health check-ups, as well as enthusiasm among participants for the health education provided. This activity successfully raised public awareness about the importance of health check-ups and blood donation, and introduced the use of effective electromedical technology in facilitating efficient health check-ups.

Abstract

The empowerment of salted peanut MSMEs in Susukan Subdistrict, Banjarnegara Regency, was carried out by implementing a peanut roasting machine equipped with advanced technology, including automatic temperature control and an even stirring system. This machine has a capacity of 25 kg and 10 kg, which is designed to improve efficiency, quality consistency, and the production capacity of local MSMEs. Previously, the roasting process was done manually with strict monitoring of temperature and stirring, which affected quality stability and took a long time. The implementation of this machine reduces dependence on individual skills and provides more precise control over roasting temperature and time, which in turn produces salted peanuts with more consistent quality and reduces losses due to defective products. In addition to increasing production efficiency, this machine also opens up opportunities for local artisans to be more involved in the production process without having to possess high skills. This program not only increases the productivity of MSMEs but also creates new jobs, provides technical skills training, and improves the welfare of the local community. Grant support from the Ministry of Education, Technology, and Innovation (Kemendikstaintek) through the BEM Berdampak scheme facilitated the smooth implementation of this machine, enabling the project to run successfully. The application of this technology has had a significant social and economic impact on salted peanut MSMEs and serves as an example of a technology-based economic empowerment model that can be applied in other regions to encourage more inclusive and sustainable local economic growth.

Abstract

The BanjarSihat application outreach and socialization program aims to raise public awareness about HIV/AIDS through a technology-based approach. The program combines three main methods: outreach, training, and mentoring. Outreach is conducted to provide basic information about HIV/AIDS, how it is transmitted, and preventive measures that can be taken. Training is provided to facilitate the use of the BanjarSihat application, which is designed to provide easy access to health information related to HIV/AIDS and other health services. Through mentoring, participants are guided to use the application effectively, ensuring they can access information accurately and use the application's features to monitor their health. The results achieved show a significant impact in increasing awareness about HIV/AIDS in the community. Before using the application, only 40% of participants had a good understanding of HIV/AIDS, but afterwards, this figure increased to 90%. In addition, the use of applications for health education increased from 20% to 80%, and the frequency of HIV/AIDS prevention awareness also increased from 15% to 70%. Community participation in each activity also exceeded the set targets, with counseling and training activities reaching more than 100% of the expected targets. The BanjarSihat application not only provides accurate information but also encourages the community to be more active in HIV/AIDS prevention.

Abstract

COVID-2019 pertama kali muncul di kota Wuhan, Cina pada Desember 2019, kemudian menyebar dengan cepat ke seluruh dunia dan menjadi pandemi. Pandemi COVID-19 telah menyebabkan dampak yang cukup fataluntukkesehatan masyaraka. Merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk mendeteksi kasus positif sedini mungkin untuk pencegahan penyebaran lebih lanjut dari virus ini. Teknik tes paling umum yang saat ini digunakan untuk mendiagnosa COVID-19adalah reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Pencitraan radiologis dada seperti chest X-ray memiliki peran penting dalam diagnosis dinipenyakit ini. Karena sensitivitas RT-PCR rendah 60% -70%, bahkan jika hasil negatif diperoleh, gejala dapat dideteksi dengan pemeriksaan gambar radiologi pasien. Teknik kecerdasan buatanyang digabungkan dengan pencitraan radiologis dapat membantu untuk mendiagnosis COVID-19 dengan lebih cepat dan akurat.Proses klasifikasi pada penelitian ini terdapat beberapa tahapan yaitu pra-pengolahan, segmentasi, ekstraksi ciri, dan klasifikasi. Ekstraksi ciri yang digunakan adalah berdasarkan tekstur orde pertama dan klasifikasi yang digunakan adalah jaringan syaraf tiruan perambatan balik. Sistem klasifikasi pada penelitian ini menghasilkan rata-rata akurasi klasifikasi sebesar 94,17% untuk kelas normal dan 77,5% untuk COVID-19. Hasil akurasi tertinggi didapat pada skenario pertama dengan hasil akurasi sebesar 88,8%. Nilai rata-rata sensitivitas yang didapat pada penelitian ini sebesar 94,17% untuk kelas normal dan 76,67% untuk kelas COVID-19. The Covid-19 pandemic has had a fatal impact on public health. It is crucial to detect positive cases as early as possible to prevent the further spread of this virus. The most common test technique currently used to diagnose Covid -19 is the reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR). Chest radiological imaging such as chest X-ray has a vital role in the early diagnosis of this disease. Due to the low RT-PCR sensitivity of 60%-70%, symptoms can be detected by examining the patient's radiological images even if a negative result is obtained. Artificial intelligence techniques combined with radiological imaging can help diagnose Covid -19 more quickly and accurately. The classification process in this study consists of several stages, namely pre-processing, segmentation, feature extraction, and classification. The feature extraction used is based on the first-order texture, and the classification used is a backpropagation neural network. The classification system in this study resulted in an average classification accuracy of 94.17% for the normal class and 77.5% for Covid -19. The highest accuracy results were obtained in the first scenario, with an accuracy of 88.8%. The average sensitivity value obtained in this study was 94.17% for the normal class and 76.67% for the Covid -19 class.
