Abstract

Various methods were used in this qualitative research to understand how salt production affects South Sulawesi coastal farmers' economic sustainability in Indonesia. The paper investigates the socio-economic factors of salt farming as it studies the obstacles and prospects of small-scale salt producers in Takalar district together with Makassar district and Pangkep district. The authors conducted structured interviews with 30 salt farmers along with participant observation and focus groups to identify crucial economic determinants in salt farming such as market availability and natural changes and gender-related elements. The findings show salt farming produces substantial income which faces increasing risks from unsteady weather and insufficient utilization of modern agricultural technology. The research shows women lead a dual role in salt production because they participate in physical labor while also taking leadership positions in running this business sector. The study investigates economic repercussions pertaining to local and regional markets showing salt farming creates strong economic links throughout local social structures together with broader market systems. Research on small-scale salt production remains limited but this investigation adds important knowledge about sector support which could lead to lasting sustainability by studying neglected areas in coastal Indonesian agricultural economy investigation.

Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to enhance financial literacy among Takmir (mosque administrators) and Majelis Taklim (Islamic study groups) to improve their financial management skills and accountability within the mosque. As non-profit religious organizations, mosques require proper financial governance to ensure the effective use of funds and foster public trust. The program focuses on addressing three core issues: (1) lack of awareness among mosque administrators and Majelis Taklim regarding the importance of financial accountability to the congregation; (2) limited knowledge of basic accounting principles for preparing financial reports; and (3) insufficient understanding of financial reporting as a key accountability tool. The activity began with a pre-survey to identify specific challenges faced by the target groups. A pre-test was then conducted through interviews to evaluate participants’ initial knowledge of mosque financial management. The main activities included socialization, financial literacy education, Excel-based bookkeeping training, and mentoring. A post-test was also carried out to assess improvements in participants’ understanding. The program was implemented on Saturday, March 19, 2025, from 09:30 to 16:00 WITA at the Nurul Islam Kalantubung Mosque in Sudiang, Makassar City, with 25 mosque administrators and Majelis Taklim members participating. As a result of the training, participants demonstrated enhanced knowledge of financial management, gained the ability to prepare structured financial reports using Excel, and increased transparency and accountability. This led to a boost in public trust toward the mosque's financial governance.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of using buffalo rumen fluid as a source of enzymes (CRKSE) in corn and soybean meal-based rations on the performance of broiler chickens. A total of 240 day-old chicks (DOC) of the Ross strain were allocated into 24 groups, consisting of 6 treatments and 4 replications with 10 chicks each. The treatment was using CRKSE, namely R1: 0 ml, R2: 30.78 ml, R3: 61.56 ml, R4: 92.35 ml, R5: 123.12 ml, and R6: 153.90 ml per kilogram of ration, respectively equivalent to 0%, 0.6%, 1.2%, 1.8%, 2.4% and 3.0% extracted buffalo rumen fluid enzymes. The rations were incubated with CRKSE for 24 hours at room temperature. Chickens were kept for 5 weeks and provided food and drinking water ad libitum. The variables measured were feed consumption, body weight gain (BWG), feed conversion ratio (FCR), final body weight (FBW), carcass weight, and digestive organ weight. The study design was a completely randomized design, and data were analyzed using ANOVA. If there is a significant effect, proceed with Duncan's multiple range test (DMRT). The use of CRKSE in rations had a significant effect (P<0.05) on feed consumption and FCR, whereas on BWG and FBW of broiler chickens up to 5 weeks of age, carcass weight, and digestive organ weights had no significant effect (P>0.05). The DMRT test results proved that the treatment using CRKSE at the level of 30.78 ml/kg (R2) to the level of 153.9 ml/kg ration (R6) significantly (P<0.05) reduced feed consumption and FCR compared to R1, but not significantly different (P>0.05) between R2, R3, R4, R5, and R6. It can be concluded that the use of CRKSE from slaughterhouses in rations is effective in improving the performance of broiler chickens by reducing the FCR   Key words: buffalo, broiler performance, enzyme, local feed, rumen fluid   ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan cairan rumen kerbau sebagai sumber enzim (CRKSE) dalam ransum berbasis jagung dan bungkil kedelai terhadap performa ayam broiler. Sebanyak 240 ekor anak ayam umur sehari (DOC) strain Ross dibagi menjadi 24 kelompok, terdiri atas 6 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan, setiap ulangan terdapat 10 ekor. Perlakuannya adalah penggunaan CRKSE yaitu R1 : 0 ml, R2: 30,78 ml, R3: 61,56 ml, R4: 92,35 ml, R5: 123,12 ml dan R6: 153,90 ml per kilogram ransum, masing masing setara dengan 0%, 0,6%, 1,2%, 1,8%, 2,4% dan 3,0% enzim cairan rumen kerbau hasil ekstraksi. Ransum diinkubasi dengan CRKSE selama 24 jam pada suhu ruang. Ayam dipelihara selama 5 minggu, pemberian makan dan air minum tersedia ad libitum. Peubah yang diukur adalah konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan (PBB), konversi ransum, Bobot badan akhir (BBA), bobot karkas dan bobot organ pencernaan. Rancangan penelitian adalah rancangan acak lengkap, dan data dianalisis dengan ANOVA. Bila terdapat pengaruh yang nyata, dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan (DMRT). Penggunaan CRKSE dalam ransum berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum dan konversi ransum, sedangkan terhadap PBB dan BBA ayam broiler sampai umur 5 minggu, bobot karkas dan bobot organ pencernaan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05). Hasil uji DMRT membuktikan bahwa perlakuan penggunaan CRKSE pada taraf 30,78 ml/kg (R2) sampai taraf 153,9 ml/kg ransum (R6) nyata (P<0,05) menurunkan konsumsi ransum dan angka konversi ransum dibandingkan R1, tetapi tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) antara R2, R3, R4, R5 dan R6. Dapat disimpulkan penggunaan CRKSE asal rumah potong hewan dalam ransum efektif memperbaiki performa ayam broiler dengan menurunkan angka konversi ransum.   Kata kunci: cairan rumen, enzim, kerbau, pakan lokal, performa ayam broiler.

Abstract

Tangkul or lift net is a type of anco fishing gear that differs only in large size. Tangkul is a square, generally measuring 5x5 m with a mesh size varying between 1/4 - 1.5 inches, depending on the fishing season. The purpose of this determine the diversity of tangkul catches (Portable lift net) in Teluk Lake, Olak Kemang Village, Danau Teluk Distric Jambi City. This research was conducted on March 21, 2022 to April 21, 2022. The method used in this research is a survey method, namely by direct observation in the field and conducting interviews with fishermen. The data collected is the catch of tangkul fishing gear which includes the type of fish, the number of catches (tails) and the total weight of the catch (grams). Furthermore, environmental parameters are temperature, degree of acidity (pH), and depth. The results of the research that have been obtained are the composition of tangkul catches, there are 9 species of fish with the highest composition being flatback fish (Thynnichtys polylepis) with a value of 42.52% and the lowest composition being catfish species (Pangasianodon hypophthalmus) with a value of 0.30%. The diversity index (H') obtained with a value of 1.39 is in the medium category, the evenness index (E) obtained with a value of 0.64 is in the high category and the dominance index (C) obtained with a value of 0.30 is in the low category. The conclusion of this study is the diversity index of Tangkul catches (Portable lift net) is in the medium category and no fish species dominate or are included in the low category in Teluk Lake, Olak Kemang Village, Danau Teluk District, Jambi City.

Abstract

Menulis kreatif merupakan kemampuan untuk membangkitkan ide-ide baru dan mengembangkan kalimat menjadi karya yang artistik dan penuh makna. Menulis kreatif juga tentang mengubah kata-kata menjadi teks yang indah dan menarik, sehingga dapat menyentuh hati pembaca. Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini berfokus pada peningkatan keterampilan menulis kreatif yaitu puisi siswa SMA Pelita Pematangsiantar, khususnya siswa kelas 10. Kegiatan pelatihan menulis kreatif ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi bacaan, kreativitas, dan kemampuan menulis siswa dalam menciptakan karya sastra. Dengan demikian, diharapkan siswa dapat menghasilkan karya-karya yang berkualitas dan membangun kerja sama yang berkelanjutan di bidang pendidikan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini juga berupaya menghasilkan karya tulis ilmiah yang dapat diterbitkan di jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Melalui pelatihan ini, diharapkan kemampuan literasi dan kreativitas siswa dapat meningkat, sehingga mereka dapat menciptakan karya-karya yang bermakna dan berkualitas

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model Project Based Learning berbentuk flash card terhadap kemampuan menulis teks cerita fabel oleh siswa kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 19 Pematangsiantar. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks fabel yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan metode pembelajaran yang konvensional. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan media flash card dan kelas kontrol yang menggunakan media konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes menulis teks fabel sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada nilai post-test siswa di kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan uji statistik menggunakan SPSS, diperoleh hasil bahwa model Project Based Learning berbentuk flash card memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis teks cerita fabel. Dengan demikian, model ini efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa, khususnya dalam teks cerita fabel
