Abstract

The declining interest of younger generations in memorizing the Qur’an presents a significant challenge for Islamic education, particularly in preserving the originality and noble values of the Qur’anic teachings. In response to this issue, MAN 2 Pasuruan has developed a Tahfidz Al-Qur’an program as a central pillar of its character education. This study aims to analyze the learning strategies employed in the implementation of the tahfidz program at the school. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was used in this research. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings reveal that the tahfidz learning strategies are designed in a structured manner and are adapted to the characteristics of the students. The implementation of the school’s vision is reflected in a comprehensive system involving technical execution, character building, spiritual development, and academic support. The main challenges include limited time, varying student abilities, and inconsistency in muroja’ah (revision), which are addressed through periodic evaluations, teacher-driven motivation, and group division based on memorization levels. The implication of this study suggests that an integrated tahfidz learning strategy can serve as an effective model for shaping Qur’anic generations and strengthening character education in secondary schools.

Abstract

Introduction: This research is a literature study that aims to map trends, focus, and research gaps on Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Motor Vehicle Transfer Fee (BBNKB) in Indonesia in the period 2022 to 2025, post-implementation of Law Number 1 of 2022 concerning Financial Relations between the Central and Regional Governments (HKPD Law). Methods: Through searching articles in the SINTA 1 to SINTA 5 databases, 46 selected articles from a total of 107 initial articles were analyzed using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Results: The results of the study showed that the majority of studies used quantitative methods (84.78%) and predominantly raised topics around taxpayer compliance, collection effectiveness, and digitalization of services through e-Samsat. The most widely used theories include the theory of planned behavior, attribution theory, and compliance theory, which reflect a behavioral approach to studying tax compliance. In addition, mapping of research locations indicates that areas such as East Java, Bali, and Jambi are the most frequently studied locations. This study provides an important contribution in enriching academic discourse and providing further research directions and input for policymakers in optimizing PKB and BBNKB revenues as sources of Regional Original Income (PAD). Keywords: E-Samsat, tax compliance, PKB and BBNKB

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the perceptions of understanding, elements, and categories of entrepreneurial behavior important for understanding the basic concepts of Islamic boarding schools' entrepreneurial behavior. This study uses a qualitative approach. The setting of this research is the Riyadlul Jannah Islamic Boarding School because of its uniqueness in developing entrepreneurial behavior. The research design used is a single case study with one unit of analysis, namely members of the pesantren. Key informants were determined purposively, starting from the Board of Trustees of the Islamic Boarding School (Kyai), followed by a snowball method until it reached 30 informants. The research findings show that understanding the meaning of entrepreneurial behavior includes attitudes, lifestyle, and self-confidence to produce economic values that encourage independence. Entrepreneurial behavior includes a series of good deeds (al-amal al-shalih) and noble standards (al-akhlaq al-karimah). The entrepreneurial behavior category consists of personal entrepreneurial behavior, social entrepreneurial behavior, and spiritual entrepreneurial behavior. The basic understanding of Islamic boarding schools' entrepreneurial behavior should be comprehensive, covering all three, namely understanding the meaning, elements, and categories of entrepreneurial behavior.

Abstract

IntroductionHalal certification has become increasingly important for food producers operating in non-Muslim-majority destinations such as Bali, where Muslim tourism continues to expand. Although numerous studies investigate halal consumption behavior, research examining producers’ intentions to obtain halal certification remains limited. This study extends existing knowledge by integrating halal knowledge and halal awareness into the Theory of Planned Behavior to explain certification intentions among food-sector entrepreneurs.ObjectivesThe study aims to identify and analyze the determinants influencing food producers’ intentions to obtain halal certification in Bali by assessing the roles of attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, halal knowledge, and halal awareness within an integrated behavioral framework.MethodA quantitative research design was employed, involving 150 food producers selected using non-probability sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling. Measurement and structural models were assessed to evaluate validity, reliability, and the significance of hypothesized relationships.ResultsThe findings show that all five determinants—attitude, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, halal knowledge, and halal awareness—positively and significantly affect producers’ intentions to obtain halal certification. The model explains 85.9 percent of the variance in intention, demonstrating strong predictive power. The results highlight the combined influence of cognitive, social, and religious factors in shaping certification decisions.ImplicationsThe study provides theoretical contributions by expanding the Theory of Planned Behavior with halal-specific constructs and offers practical insights for policymakers, certification bodies, and industry stakeholders in promoting halal certification through education, technical assistance, and supportive regulatory frameworks.Originality/NoveltyThis research provides a comprehensive behavioral model for understanding halal certification intentions in a minority-Muslim tourism context, offering new insights into how halal knowledge and awareness strengthen producers’ decisions to pursue formal certification.
