Abstract

Education plays a vital role in developing high-quality human resources that can compete in the era of globalization. Nurul Hikma Islamic Educational Institute in Arjo is one of the institutions that is constantly striving to improve the quality of its services to attract the attention of the masses, especially in the freshman admission procedure (PPDB). This study aims to analyze the impact of service quality and positive emotional experience on customer satisfaction directly and indirectly through electronic word of mouth (eWOM) as a parameter. A quantitative approach using partial least squares (PLS) structural equation modeling (SEM) method was conducted on 160 respondents, who were parents or guardians of children in preschool and primary school. The results show that service quality has a significant impact on both customer satisfaction and eWOM. On the other hand, positive emotional experiences have a significant impact on eWOM but have no direct effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, eWOM has been shown to have a significant impact on customer satisfaction and act as a mediator between service quality and parent satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of improving service quality and creating positive emotional experiences to increase customer satisfaction and strengthen promotional strategies through social platforms.

Abstract

Purpose – This study intends to find empirical evidence regarding the influence of the democracy index, government expenditure on education, and income inequality on inclusive economic growth moderated by the open unemployment rate. Method – This research employs a quantitative methodology with panel data regression. Utilizing secondary data from Indonesia's report on inclusive economic growth. The data was generated in numerical form from 33 provinces in Indonesia from 2019 to 2023. In this study, the number of observation data or samples used is 165. The data analysis used is the panel data regressions and moderated regression analysis (MRA) method with EViews 12. The selected model is the fixed effect model because of the Chow and Hausman tests. Findings – The research findings indicate that the democracy index and open unemployment rate negatively affect inclusive economic growth. Meanwhile, government expenditure on education positively affects inclusive economic growth. In contrast, income inequality does not affect inclusive economic growth. The open unemployment rate can strengthen the effect of government expenditure on education on inclusive economic growth. However, the open unemployment rate does not moderate the relationship between the democracy index and income inequality on inclusive economic growth. Implications – The study findings contribute to the scientific understanding of inclusive economic growth determinants in Indonesia, a moderate and low-income nation. This research can be a reference for the government in making policies and increasing justice in various fields, such as politics, social issues, and education.

Abstract

Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) merupakan inisiatif strategis Pemerintah Indonesia untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia sejak usia sekolah. Program ini bertujuan mengatasi masalah gizi seperti stunting, anemia, dan kelaparan tersembunyi, yang berdampak langsung pada proses belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi efektivitas kebijakan MBG dan menelaah tantangan implementasinya. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka dan wawancara terbatas di beberapa sekolah di Surabaya. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa MBG meningkatkan kehadiran siswa, kondisi kesehatan, dan menggerakkan ekonomi lokal. Namun, tantangan seperti distribusi yang timpang, kualitas menu, dan lemahnya regulasi masih menjadi hambatan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kelembagaan, dasar hukum, dan sistem evaluasi nasional untuk menjamin keberlanjutan dan memperluas dampaknya.

Abstract

Pembangunan berkelanjutan menjadi tantangan global yang mencakup aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan lingkungan. Dalam konteks ini, peran manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) sangat penting untuk mendukung pencapaian tujuan pembangunan berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis transformasi manajemen sumber daya manusia (SDM) dalam mendukung pencapaian pembangunan berkelanjutan melalui tinjauan literatur terhadap berbagai model dan implementasinya. Melalui metode studi literatur, penelitian ini mengkaji berbagai teori, konsep, dan praktik SDM yang relevan dengan prinsip-prinsip pembangunan berkelanjutan, karyawan, kesejahteraan, dan integrasi nilai-nilai sosial dan lingkungan ke dalam kebijakan organisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa transformasi SDM tidak hanya mencakup digitalisasi proses kerja, tetapi juga penanaman budaya organisasi yang mendukung keseimbangan antara pertumbuhan ekonomi, kesejahteraan sosial, dan pelestarian lingkungan. Keterbatasan penelitian ini terletak pada tidak melakukan penelitian lapangan atau studi empiris langsung. Implementasi dari transformasi ini meliputi rekrutmen berbasis nilai berkelanjutan, pelatihan berorientasi pada keberlanjutan, serta sistem penilaian kinerja yang mengakomodasi kontribusi terhadap keberlanjutan. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran komprehensif tentang peran strategis HRM dalam konteks pengembangan berkelanjutan dan menawarkan rekomendasi untuk praktik HRM yang relevan di era modern.

Abstract

Purpose: The phenomenon of online shopping is becoming increasingly popular today. Clear product information accompanied by attractive photos and videos is a strategy to increase sales. This study aims to determine how product visualization and customer reviews influence purchasing decisions for Muslim fashion products on the TikTok Shop application in Indonesia.Design/methodology: The type of research used is quantitative research with an associative approach. The data collection method is by using a questionnaire aimed at respondents who shop online through the TikTok Shop application. The data collected is processed using SmartPLS.Findings: The results of the study show that product visualization and customer reviews have a significant effect on purchasing decisions. The findings indicate that most respondents read customer reviews before making a purchase to ensure that the Muslim fashion products match the displayed visualization.Practical implications: Businesses in the Muslim fashion industry on TikTok Shop can leverage high-quality product visualizations, including engaging photos and videos, to attract potential buyers and build trust. Companies should prioritize customer testimonials. They need to encourage satisfied customers to leave detailed reviews, ratings, and visual content, such as unboxing videos or photos, to strengthen credibility and influence potential buyers' decisions.Originality/Value: This study focuses on TikTok Shop, a new platform that combines social media and e-commerce. This study provides unique insights into consumer behavior that has not been widely studied before. In addition, this study also integrates cultural and religious aspects that are relevant in Indonesia as the largest Muslim market in the world.

Abstract

Ketahanan pangan merupakan isu strategis yang mempengaruhi stabilitas ekonomi dan sosial di suatu negara. Kebijakan impor beras menjadi salah satu instrumen yang digunakan oleh pemerintah untuk menjaga ketahanan pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis ekonomi politik di balik kebijakan impor beras di Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan impor beras dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, termasuk kepentingan politik, tekanan dari kelompok petani, dan dinamika pasar global. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan rekomendasi bagi pembuat kebijakan dalam merumuskan strategi ketahanan pangan yang lebih efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebijakan impor beras di Indonesia dalam konteks ekonomi politik dan ketahanan pangan. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kebijakan impor beras serta dampaknya terhadap ketahanan pangan nasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebijakan impor beras dipengaruhi oleh dinamika pasar, kebijakan pemerintah, dan faktor sosial ekonomi yang kompleks.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in Indonesia’s economic development, particularly in job creation, income distribution, and tax revenue contribution. To support MSMEs and encourage formal tax participation, the government issued Government Regulation (PP) No. 23 of 2018, which reduced the Final Income Tax (PPh Final) rate from 1% to 0.5% of gross turnover. This policy aims to increase tax compliance, reduce administrative burdens, and expand the national tax base. This study analyzes the impact of the implementation of the Final Income Tax policy on MSME taxpayer compliance, focusing on reporting and payment behavior. The findings indicate that the tax rate reduction positively influences compliance levels among MSME taxpayers. However, several challenges persist, including limited understanding of tax procedures, lack of socialization, and low digital literacy related to tax systems. Therefore, beyond lowering tax rates, continuous education, mentoring, and the enhancement of digital-based tax services are necessary to strengthen voluntary compliance. This policy is considered a strategic initiative in improving Indonesia’s tax system and supporting sustainable economic growth driven by the MSME sector.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of Indonesia’s economy, contributing significantly to equitable development, job creation, and overall economic growth. However, MSMEs continue to face challenges such as limited resources, low innovation, and weak marketing strategies, which lead to stagnant sales and low product value added. One effective solution is the implementation of branding strategies that enhance competitiveness and strengthen consumer perceptions of product quality. This study aims to analyze the impact of branding strategies on increasing the added value of MSME products using a qualitative approach based on literature review. Data were systematically collected from scientific journals, books, and relevant reports discussing branding strategies, innovation, and the utilization of digital technology in MSMEs. The analysis employed a descriptive-thematic and content analysis approach to identify patterns, themes, and relationships among concepts. The findings reveal that branding strategies—particularly digital branding, packaging innovation, brand identity strengthening, continuous training and mentoring, and green branding—play a significant role in enhancing brand awareness, consumer loyalty, and product value. Branding not only contributes to increased sales but also creates emotional value, product differentiation, and opportunities to access wider markets, including modern retail and international markets. Thus, branding can be regarded as a strategic instrument for MSMEs to achieve business sustainability and long-term competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

Diskriminasi terhadap orang dengan keterbatasan fisik, motorik, mental, atau intelektual yang dikenal sebagai penyandang disabilitas sering terjadi dan masih menjadi isu yang signifikan di Indonesia dan banyak negara lain. Penyandang disabilitas menghadapi kesulitan dalam mencari dan mendapatkan pekerjaan karena mereka dianggap kurang produktif dan tidak mampu bekerja. Menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif untuk memberikan gambaran atau penjelasan tentang subjek penelitian dan analisis statistik digunakan untuk memperoleh data atas variabel terkait. Menggunakan pendekatan kepustakaan (library research) merupakan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan untuk mendapatkan data dan informasi tentang subjek yang dibahas melalui berbagai situs resmi. Meratifikasi The Convention of Rights for People with Disabilities (CRPD) adalah betuk intervensi pemerintah untuk memastikan bahwa hak penyandang disabilitas dihormati, dilindungi, dan dipenuhi sesuai dengan hak orang lain. Selain itu, berbagai kebijakan berlandaskan Undang-Undang telah disahkan oleh pemerintah Indonesia untuk menangani diskriminasi terhadap penyandang disabilitas melalui Hak Asasi Manusia dan Kesempatan Kerja. Namun, pemerintah Indonesia masih perlu melakukan lebih banyak upaya salah satunya bekerja sama dengan BUMN/BUMD dan perusahaan swasta untuk mewujudkan persaman hak bagi setiap warga negara, termasuk penyandang disabilitas dalam hal mendapatkan pekerjaan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine how digitalization and business models play a role in improving the performance of Sociopreneurship at the Geprek Mira MSME in Surabaya. The background of the study departs from the challenges faced by MSMEs in Indonesia, namely limited capital, low digital literacy, and limited market access. On the other hand, advances in digital technology and the Sociopreneurship concept provide opportunities for MSMEs to not only focus on economic profits, but also contribute to sustainable social impacts. This study applies a descriptive qualitative approach by collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation, and using triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results show that the use of digitalization techniques through social media, e-commerce, and digital payment systems has succeeded in expanding market reach and increasing operational efficiency of Geprek Mira. On the other hand, an adaptive business model that integrates social missions has succeeded in strengthening the values of sociopreneurship, especially in empowering the surrounding community. The synergy between digitalization and innovative business models has been proven to improve business performance financially, operationally, and socially. Thus, this study confirms that the integration of digital strategies and sociopreneurship-based business models is a key factor for the sustainability of MSMEs in the digital economy era.
