Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik SMP setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing melalui pendekatan STEM. Penelitian ini menggunakan pre-experimental design dengan rancangan penelitian one group pretest posttest. Subjek penelitian ini dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling yaitu kelas VIII-D SMP Negeri 2 Gedeg sebanyak 32 peserta didik tahun 2024/2025. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu menggunakan lembar tes uraian (pretest dan posttest) sebanyak 6 soal yang mengukur keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik, lalu dianalisis menggunakan N-gain. Hasil penelitian ini mendapatkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam semua indikator keterampilan berpikir kritis. Skor N-gain pada indikator membangun keterampilan dasar sebesar 0,96; indikator memberikan penjelasan sederhana sebesar 0,74; indikator menyimpulkan sebesar 0,68; indikator memberikan penjelasan lebih lanjut 0,71; dan indikator menyusun strategi dan taktik sebesar 0,49 dengan rata-rata skor N-gain sebesar 0,72 dalam kategori tinggi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing melalui pendekatan STEM dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi pesawat sederhana.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik di SMPN 36 Surabaya setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing melalui pendekatan TPACK. Desain penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif sedangkan metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian Pre-experimental one group pretest posttest design, dimana tidak menggunakan kelompok kontrol sebagai perbandingan hanya menggunakan satu kelompok kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan lokasi penelitian berada di SMPN 36 Surabaya dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu purposive sampling. Subjek penelitian menggunakan satu kelas yaitu VIII C dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 33 peserta didik. Data diperoleh dari hasil tes pretest (sebelum perlakuan) dan posttest (setelah perlakuan) kemudian dianalisis dengan analisis N-Gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan skor peningkatan N-Gain rata – rata keterampilan berpikir kritis yaitu sebesar 75% dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing dengan pendekatan TPACK terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi sistem pencernaan manusia.

Abstract

Motivasi belajar peserta didik dalam memahami konsep sains, terutama materi energi, masih menjadi tantangan dalam pembelajaran. Metode Computer Assisted Learning (CAL) berbasis laboratorium virtual dan model inkuiri terbimbing menjadi alternatif inovatif untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh metode CAL berbasis laboratorium virtual dengan model inkuiri terbimbing terhadap motivasi belajar peserta didik berdasarkan model ARCS (Attention, Relevance, Confidence, Satisfaction). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimental dengan desain one-group pretest-posttest pada 30 peserta didik kelas VIII yang mempelajari materi energi. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket motivasi berbasis model ARCS dan dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam setiap aspek ARCS, terutama pada aspek Satisfaction sebesar 92%. Kesimpulannya, metode ini efektif meningkatkan motivasi belajar peserta didik.

Abstract

Pedagogical competence is very necessary to improve the learning process. Pedagogical competency is a competency that prospective science teachers must have. This relates to the duties of teachers who are not only teachers, but also as educators and mentors of students. Prospective teachers need to have both academic and non-academic competencies. This research aims to analyze the pedagogical competence of prospective teachers in terms of their ability to prepare learning plans. The method used by researchers in this research is a project with a quantitative approach. The research results show that prospective science teacher students are able to design learning by implementing innovative learning models, utilizing relevant technology, with the hope of making it easier for students to understand the learning material

Abstract

Acne is a common skin problem, particularly during adolescence. It can affect both appearance and skin health. Literature studies suggest that basil leaf extract has potential as an active ingredient in anti-acne gel due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. This article aims to identify the antibacterial potential and activity of basil leaf extract against Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria and to develop an anti-acne gel using this natural ingredient. The research method employed is a qualitative, non-experimental study using a systematic review approach. The literature review results indicate that basil leaf extract is promising as an active ingredient for anti-acne gel due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. Active compounds in basil leaves, such as essential oils, flavonoids, and tannins, have been proven to reduce inflammation, inhibit the growth of acne-causing bacteria, and improve overall skin condition. However, attention must be given to the extract's concentration and the potential for irritation on sensitive skin. In conclusion, gel containing basil leaf extract holds potential as a natural solution for acne treatment. Nevertheless, its use should be carefully considered for individuals with sensitive skin.

Abstract

Rats are nuisance animals that can damage the economy and bring diseases to humans. To control rat populations, rodenticides are often used that contain toxic chemicals that are not environmentally friendly. However, there is an alternative to reducing the use of rodenticides, namely using vegetable rodenticides made from natural ingredients such as cassava which contains cyanide acid. Cyanide acid is very dangerous and can cause illness and even death if ingested. This research is a literature review. Research conducted by Fazriyawati and Rahmawati used 50 male white mice of Mus musculus species as samples. Samples were treated with cassava rodenticide doses of 40 grams, 60 grams, 80 grams, and 100 grams. The results showed that the highest mice mortality occurred at a dose of 100 grams with an average bait consumption of 62.48 grams and a mice mortality percentage of 60%. Thus, the conclusion of this study is that raw cassava has the potential as an effective vegetable rodenticide. Keywords: Mice, Plant-based Rodenticide, Raw Cassava

Abstract

The implementation of STEAM-PjBL integration trains students to work together to build their own knowledge, construct ideas, critical thinking in analyzing problems, then try to solve them through a project. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of STEAM-PjBL integration to train the critical thinking skills of prospective science teachers through entrepreneurship courses. This research is a descriptive study with a one short case study design. The research subjects were students of Science Education Class of 2021. The instruments used were tests of critical thinking skills and questionnaires on student responses to learning. Test result were analyzed using N-gain and paired t test, the response questionnaire was analyzed descriptively. The results showed an increase in students' critical thinking skills test scores, and positive responses with an average of >83.6%. Based on this, it can be concluded that STEAM-PjBL integration is effective in improving students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Student’s critical thinking skills in higher education level should be enhanced using diverse methods, one of which by developing learning media as assistance in conceiving the skills. This study was undertaken to determine the validity of the H5P learning media using ALLR (Activity Based-Lesson Learn-Reflection) model that could be embedded in a Moodle-based learning management system for Basic Science course to reinforce the pre-service science teachers’ critical thinking skills. This study used research and development (R&D) design using 4D development model. The developed learning media was an interactive learning media for Basic Science course that contained the ALLR learning model developed using the H5P platform embedded in Moodle-based SIDIA UNESA learning management system. The media was given to three experts whose expertise were science learning and learning media development. The validation was based on assessment criteria which included content, presentation, and language aspects. The results showd that all the assessment criteria for the learning media developed were declared very valid, except for interactivity sub-criteria which was valid. It can be concluded that H5P-based interactive media in LM with ALLR Learning Model is suitable for improving the critical thinking skills of pre-service science teachers in the Basic Science Course.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Spiritual Practice-Based Learning Approach to Metaphysics Meditation "He Ning Cipto" in the Cell-Level Life course to build the student's immune system during the covid-19 pandemic. This study involved three classes of 2018 class students with a total of 90 people. This quasi-experimental research uses a "one shot case study" as a research design where there is only a treatment class without control.   Data collection methods in this study include observation, tests and surveys in order to obtain data on the implementation of learning, mastery of concepts, meditation skills, and mental health. The results showed that the implementation of the learning carried out had fulfilled the syntax and obtained the dominant learning management assessment score mode of 4 from the total existing meetings. The learning outcomes test from 3 classes with 4 study topics (Cell Structure and Function, Cell Health Concepts, Body Immune System, Cipto Silent Meditation) in 7 meetings showed that students' mastery of concepts could be achieved maximally both individually and classically with a percentage of completeness of 95, 56%. Based on rewriting data and diaries, Cipto's Silent Meditation skills can be practiced well according to the recommended instructions and procedures. Students' rewriting scores ranged from 78 to 100, while for student diaries they received a minimum score of 80 and a maximum of 100. The questionnaire responses given showed high Mental Attitude Health (KSM) results of 96%, High Cell/Body Health (KST) of 86% and the Happiness Scale Index is in the high category (above 34, 4) with A level between 46-50 at 29%, Level B between 40-45 at 66% and C between 34-39 at 6%. Overall, it can be concluded that this research has helped students in learning and gaining an understanding of the concept of cell health and the immune system, as well as developing silent meditation skills, to build a strong immune system for students and actors in achieving a level of mental health and mental attitude. good dohir cells/body, and pure soul happiness is born as a result of a sense of faith, and evidence of obedience and gratitude to Allah SWT for all His blessings, then the practice of meditation has an impact as a form of self-protection from various kinds of diseases including the Covid-19 virus.
