Abstract

Background : the low dietary intake in hospitalized patients impact on low level of energy and protein adequacy. Short nutritional message and nutrition education could influence the patient’s eating practice in order to increase score of knowledge, attitude, level of energy and protein adequacy.Objective : to analyze the effects of short nutritional message and nutrition education on eating practice in hospitalized patients at Salatiga general hospital.Method : this was a quasi experimental study with control group pre-test post-test design. The treatment group (38 respondents) received hospital food (3 days) and nutritional short message and education nutrition from the nutritionist (2 days), meanwhile the control group (38 respondents) received hospital food (3 days) only. Score of knowledge and attitude were obtained from interview with questioner. Energy and protein adequacy level come from hospital food intake and recall.Results : there were no differences in nutritional knowledge score, attitude, protein and energy adequacy level before intervention in both group. Score of knowledge, attitude, level of energy and protein adequacy could be increased by short nutritional message and nutrition education (p=0,00, p=0,00, p=0,00, dan p=0,00). Short nutritional message and nutrition education was no effect on energy and protein adequacy level from food outside hospital (p=0,76 and p =0,86).Conclusion: Short nutritional message and nutrition education was increasing nutritional knowledge and attitude score, energy and protein adequacy level from hospital food and total intake.

Abstract

Tahapan penyembelihan yang tidak diawali dengan membaca bismillah, memberikan indikasi bahwa prosedur yangg dilakukan belum sesuai syariah atau masuk kategori produk makanan halal. Tidak dilakukannya pencucian ulang ayam yang sudah dihilangkan bulunya tapi langsung dipotong. Tempat atau wadah untuk mendistribusikan juga banyak yang tidak bersih sehingga terlihat sangat tidak higienis. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan adanya suatu gerakan yang dapat memberikan pengetahuan terhadap warga sekitar untuk senantiasa memperhatikan aspek optimalisasi pengembangan usaha berbasis ekonomi syariah. Metode yang digunakan adalah pemaparan pemahaman mengenai ketentuan dalam ekonomi syariah. Sehingga diharap masyarakat memahami dan dapat meningkatkan kualitas barang dagang serta pengembangan produk. Daging ayam merupakan salah satu produk olahan yang paling sering dikonsumsi oleh manusia. Tetapi banyak masyarakat, bahkan umat Muslim yang mengkonsumsi tanpa mengetahui darimana daging ayam tersebut berasal atau bagaimana proses menyembelihnya. Maka, penting bagi masyarakat dan setiap muslim untuk mengetahui tata cara dan do’a menyembelih ayam. Kegiatan optimalisasi pemberdayaan masyarakat ini dilaksanakan karena dipandang masih kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat mengenai syariah, kurang fahamnya bagaimana cara melakukan pengembangan usaha dan hidup sejahtera. Dengan pengoptimalisasi kepada masyarakat didapat juga berbagai pengembangan produk baru selaian daging ayam yang disembelih, akan tetapi berkembang dengan dijualnya organ dalam ayam. Hal ini dilakukan karena adanya penyucian yang bersih dan penggolongan bagian-bagian organ dalam yang dikemas sehingga peningkatan baik pemahaman, penjualan, dan kesejahteraan masyarakat Kelurahan Klodran, Kecamatan Colomadu, Kabupaten Karanganyar.

Abstract

 Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem characterized by height or body length that is not proportional to age. The prevalence of stunting at the Bandarharjo Health Center is the highest in Semarang City in 2021 reaching 534 children under five. Low nutritional intake and genetic and economic factors are some of the factors that influence the incidence of stunting. The study aimed to determine the risk factors for stunting in toddlers at the Bandarharjo Health Center. This study used cross-sectional with a sample of 51 families with stunting toddlers recorded at the Bandarharjo Health Center. The selection of subjects in total sampling is then data obtained through questionnaires. The data were analyzed using the chi-square test.This study showed that the Family Per Capita Income was low at 9.8%, and the Family Per Capita Income was high at 90.2%; the results showed that family income was not significantly related (p = 0.368) with the incidence of stunting. Conclusion: The level of Low Family Per Capita Income in children under the age of 2 – 5 years in the working area of the Bandarharjo Health Center Semarang City is 9.8%, and the level of High Family Per Capita Income is 90.2% and there is no relationship between Family Per Capita Income and the incidence of stunting in children under the age of 0 - 24 month in the working area of the Bandarharjo Health Center, Semarang City.

Abstract

Kepuasan klien terhadap pelayanan kesehatan merupakan cerminan dari sejauh mana harapan dan kebutuhan klien terpenuhi selama perawatan mereka di rumah sakit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan pasien rawat inap di rumah sakit kelas tiga. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif observasi dengan pendekatan case-control di Rumah Sakit Bhakti Asih, Brebes, Jawa Tengah. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode Accidental Sampling, melibatkan 285 responden pada bulan Oktober-November 2023. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner, dan dianalisis menggunakan uji Chi Square dan regresi linear berganda. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan bahwa terdapat enam variabel yang memiliki hubungan signifikan secara statistik dengan kepuasan pasien, yaitu ketidaksesuaian persyaratan pelayanan (aOR= 5.48; CI 95%= 2.27-13.22; p < 0.001), kecepatan waktu pelayanan yang tidak sesuai (aOR= 2.46; CI 95%= 1.07-5.63; p = 0.032), kemampuan atau kompetensi petugas dalam memberikan pelayanan yang tidak sesuai (aOR= 3.04; CI 95%= 1.26-7.32; p= 0.013), perilaku petugas dalam pelayanan terkait kesopanan dan keramahan yang tidak sesuai (aOR= 2.52; CI 95%= 1.09-5.83; p= 0.030), waktu kontak dengan pasien yang tidak sesuai (aOR= 3.98; CI 95%= 1.73-9.16; p= 0.001), dan sarana prasarana pelayanan yang tidak sesuai (aOR= 2.70; CI 95%= 1.14-6.41; p= 0.024). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan ketidaksesuaian persyaratan pelayanan, kecepatan waktu pelayanan yang tidak sesuai, kemampuan atau kompetensi petugas dalam memberikan pelayanan yang tidak sesuai, perilaku petugas dalam pelayanan terkait kesopanan dan keramahan yang tidak sesuai, waktu kontak dengan pasien yang tidak sesuai, dan sarana prasarana pelayanan yang tidak sesuai.

Abstract

This study was a randomized controlled trial using a repeated experimental design with a pre-test and a post-test control group. The study subjects were women of childbearing age, aged 20‒30 years, with no diagnosed chronic diseases and with baseline fasting blood glucose levels less than 125 mg/dL. Participants were randomly assigned to treatment and control groups. The treatment group received 350 mL of healthy boba drink, while the control group received 350 mL of commercial boba drink. The healthy boba drink was made by mixing 67 mL of fresh milk, 133 mL of soy milk, 1 g of stevia sweetener, 100 g of red dragon fruit, and 40 g of healthy boba pearls. It contained 215 kcal of energy, 8.82 g of protein, 8.90 g of fat, 30.78 g of carbohydrate, and 1,808 g of fiber. Each group had an initial fasting blood glucose levels measurement before the intervention, and postprandial glucose levels were measured at the end of the intervention (one time of intervention). The collected data were analyzed univariately to analyze the effect of treatment on postprandial glucose using the independent t-test. The result indicated that the subjects in the treatment group and 96.2% of the subjects in the control group had fasting glucose levels less than 126 mg/dL. Both participants in the control and treatment groups had postprandial glucose levels less than 200 mg/dL. The mean glucose level was 89.49 mg/dL in the treatment group and 92.57 mg/dL in the control group. The study results showed that the treatment group that consumed the healthy boba drink had a lower average postprandial glucose level than the control group. The statistical test results showed that there was a significant effect of healthy boba drink consumption on postprandial glucose levels in the treatment group (p<0.000). It is concluded that the healthy boba drink intervention had a significant effect (p<0.000) on lowering blood glucose by 5.82 mg/dL after the initial treatment. The results of this study are a major first step for future work to develop a healthier boba drink.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Budaya berpengaruh terhadap keputusan dan perilaku terkait gizi-kesehatan suatu masyarakat adat.  Seperti yang diketahui perilaku gizi-kesehatan yang salah dapat berdampak buruk seperti kurang gizi bahkan sampai mengakibatkan kematian ibu dan anak.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat pendidikan dan perilaku gizi-kesehatan ibu balita pada masyarakat adat Samin di Jawa Tengah.Metode: Penelitian deskriptif dengan mixed method ini melibatkan 88 ibu balita masyarakat adat Samin di Kabupaten Kudus, Pati, dan Blora, Jawa Tengah. Tingkat pengetahuan, dan persepsi gizi-kesehatan diperoleh dari hasil persentase jawaban benar pada kuesioner yang kemudian di kategorikan ke dalam tiga tingkatan. Uji korelasi Spearman juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui hubungan antar variabel.Hasil: Hasil menunjukan 98% ibu balita pada kelompok Kudus-Pati tidak bersekolah sedang 68,4% ibu balita di Blora telah mengenyam pendidikan dasar. 50% ibu balita di Kudus-Pati memiliki tingkat pengetahuan yang rendah, namun 55,3% ibu balita di Blora memiliki tingkat pengetahuan sedang. 68% ibu balita di Kudus-Pati memiliki persepsi negatif, namun 73,7% ibu balita di Blora telah memiliki persepsi gizi-kesehatan yang positfi. Uji beda juga menunjukan perbedaan signifikan (p<0,05) pada kedua kelompok terkait dua variable tersebut. Uji korelasi juga menunjukan adanya hubungan antara tingkat pendidikan, pengetahuan, dan persepsi ibu balita (p<0,05).Simpulan: Simpulan yang dapat diambil dari hasil penelitian ialah terdapat perbedaan antara tingkat pendidikan, pengetahuan, dan persepsi ibu balita antar kedua kelompok di mana ibu balita di Blora lebih baik dibanding ibu balita di Kudus-Pati.

Abstract

Kualitas tidur yang buruk pada lansia dapat dikaitkan dengan adanya masalah fisik, mental dankesejahteraan sosial. Lingkungan yang bi-sing, kotor dan sempit dapat berdampak negatif pada fisiologis,per-ilaku dan fungsi kognitif lansia, hal ini dapat mengganggu tidur yang pada akhirnya mempengaruhikualitas tidur lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh pemberian latihanROM aktif dengan kualitas tidur pada lansia. Metode : Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Experimen padapre dan post test dengan ke-lompok kontrol. Hasil : Terdapat pengaruh pemberian latihan ROM aktifdengan kualitas tidur pada lansia dengan nilai p value 0,000 (<0,05). Simpulan : terdapat penurunankualitas tidur sesudah diberikan intervensi ROM aktif.Kata Kunci : Kualitas tidur, Lansia, ROM

Abstract

The aim of this research was to analyze the influence of tempe giving to the oxidative stress in rats with high physical activities. This research was true experimental post-test only with control group design on 35 rats. The rats were given high physical activities and tempe treatments for 30 days. Those rats were divided into 5 group, which were: control 1 without giving tempe and supplement, control 2 with the giving of the commercial supplement, treatment 1 with giving 0.75 g tempe/200 g of body weight/day, treatment 2 with giving 1.5 g tempe/200 g of body weight/day and treatment 3 with giving 3 g tempe/200 g of body weight/day. At the end of this research, it was done the examination of the plasma MDA level by using TBARS method and activities of SOD enzyme using spectrofometry. The statistical analysis used One-way ANOVA Tests and Post Hoc LSD. The result showed that the tempe giving at various doses was significantly influenced to the reduction of MDA level (p<0.05) and also significantly influenced to the increasing activities of SOD enzyme (p<0.05). The giving of 3 g tempe was the most effective dose to the reduction of MDA level and the increasing activities of SOD enzyme. The conclusion was tempe could decrease the MDA level and increase the activities of SOD enzyme significantly in oxidative stress rats with high physical activities.

Abstract

Background: Fasting during Ramadan could have negative effects on individuals with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM), as it would lead to hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia. Non-compliance with the recommended diet during fasting is one of the factors that can trigger these conditions. Knowledge about the appropriate diet plays a crucial role in successfully adhering to the diet.  Objective: The aim of this study is to assess the effect of providing T2DM education during Ramadan fasting on knowledge and fasting blood glucose levels.  Method: This study is an experimental research conducted using a randomized controlled trial design with a pretest-posttest control group design. The participants of this study were T2DM patients from Tlogosari Kulon Community Health Center and Kedungmundu Community Health Center who were enrolled in the Prolanis program and did not have any complications related to kidney failure or stroke. A total of 46 participants were divided into a treatment group and a control group. The treatment group received nutritional education on managing their diet while fasting during Ramadan. This education was provided one week prior to the start of Ramadan fasting. Data collection included assessing knowledge, food intake, nutritional status, and fasting blood glucose levels before and after Ramadan fasting. The collected data will be analyzed using univariate analysis to describe the research data and to test the impact of nutrition education on knowledge and fasting blood glucose levels levels. The independent t-test with a significance level of α=0.05 will be used for this analysis.Result: There was a significant difference before and after being given nutrition education in intervention group on increasing knowledge levels in the intervention group (p=0.029) also lowering the blood glucose levels                 (p = 0.000). Providing education to the intervention group increased the knowledge score from 68.56 +12.81 to 79.26+9.47. There was an increase in knowledge leves by 10.70+3.34 in the intervention group. Nutritioneducation also reduced fasting blood glucose levels in intervention gropus from 177.78 + 79.61 to 141.35 + 43.78. There was a lowering in the blood glucose levels by -36.43 + 71.89 in the intervention group.Conclusion: There is a relationship between fasting ramadhan diabetes education with knowledge and blood glucose levels.
