Abstract

Liberoid Meranti coffee seeds can grow well if they are cared for properly. The plant nursery phase determines the successful growth of Liberoid Meranti coffee plants. One of the important maintenance actions carried out when cultivating coffee plants is choosing planting media and fertilization. The organic fertilizer that can be used as a planting media mixture in Liberoid meranti coffee nurseries is cow manure. Rabbit urine is a liquid organic material that contains nutrients, so it can be applied to soil or plants to add nutrients. Liquid organic materials contain macro- and micronutrients. Using the right composition of cow manure and rabbit urine concentrations really determines the growth of Liberoid Meranti coffee plant seeds. This experiment was carried out from February 2023 to June 2023 at the Ciparanje experimental garden, Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor District, Sumedang Regency. This experiment was carried out using a randomized group design (RAK) with nine treatments: soil + 2g urea; soil + 25% rabbit urine; soil + rabbit urine 50%; soil + cow manure (1:1) + rabbit urine 25%; soil + cow manure (1:1) + rabbit urine 50%; soil + cow manure (2:1) + rabbit urine 25%; soil + cow manure (2:1) + rabbit urine 50%; soil + cow manure (3:1) + rabbit urine 50%, and each treatment was repeated three times to obtain 27 experimental units. The experimental results showed that there was an influence of the composition of cow manure as a mixture of planting media and the concentration of rabbit urine on the growth of Liberoid Meranti coffee seedlings, except for the increase in the number of leaves. The composition of a mixture of planting media with cow manure (3:1) and a rabbit urine concentration of 25% provides the best growth for Liberoid Meranti coffee seedlings.

Abstract

Penggunaan pupuk organik pada pembibitan kelapa sawit mampu meminimalisir penggunaan pupuk anorganik. Kompos tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS)+ kompos pelepah kelapa sawit (PKS)+air cucian beras (ACB) diuji untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap ketersediaan unsur hara di dalam media tanam dan di daun bibit tanaman kelapa sawit. Percobaan dilaksanakan di kebun percobaan Ciparanje, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, bulan Februari - Agustus 2020. Analisis hara dilakukan di Laboratorium Kesuburan Tanah dan Nutrisi Tanaman Departemen Ilmu Tanah dan Sumberdaya Lahan, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Padjadjaran. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan 12 kombinasi perlakuan dan diulang tiga kali. Perlakuan terdiri 57.5 g pupuk anorganik, kompos TKKS (75 g, 100 g), kompos PKS (800 g, 1600 g), ACB (250 mL dan 500 mL). Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa campuran antara kompos TKKS, PKS dan ACB cenderung dapat menstabilkan pH, N, P dan K pada media tanam dan daun bibit kelapa sawit. Campuran kompos TKKS 100 g + kompos PKS 1600 g + ACB 250 mL dapat mempertahankan status hara N dan K pada media tanam dan kadar P pada daun bibit kelapa sawit. Campuran kompos ini dapat dijadikan pupuk alternatif selain pupuk anorganik di pembibitan kelapa sawit untuk mendukung perkebunan kelapa sawit secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Konsumsi buah-buahan sangat dianjurkan untuk peningkatan gizi masyarakat dan ketahanan tubuh. Namun demikian kemampuan untuk membeli buah-buahan masih terbatas karena pada umumnya masyarakat lebih mementingkan untuk membeli kebutuhan pokok. Ditengah masa endemi ini, diperlukan daya tahan tubuh yang tinggi agar tidak sakit, salah satunya melalui asupan buah dengan kandungan vitamin C yang tinggi. Melalui penanaman jambu kristal dan dipelihara dengan baik di pekarangan rumah masyarakat, diharapkan dapat memenuhi kebutuhan gizi (khususnya vitamin C) secara mandiri tanpa membeli. Dipilihnya Kampung Empel, Desa Mekar Jaya, Kecamatan Banjaran, Kabupaten Bandung karena merupakan daerah yang cocok untuk ditanami jambu kristal dan masyarakatnya mempunyai pekarangan yang luas. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah penjajagan, penyuluhan, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Materi yang diberikan saat penyuluhan adalah pemeliharaan tanaman jambu kristal dan manfaatnya untuk kesehatan. Kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah persiapan bibit jambu kristal, penanaman jambu kristal di halaman dan pemeliharaan jambu kristal. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah masyarakat lebih mengenal pemeliharaan jambu kristal dan manfaat buah jambu kristal  serta peningkatan minat masyarakat untuk meningkatkan gizi dan daya tahan tubuh melalui konsumsi jambu kristal, mengingat masa pandemi covid saat itu. Kegiatan penyuluhan ini berdampak positif terhadap prospek dan minat untuk menanam jambu kristal di pekarangan rumah.

Abstract

Vegetative stage is an essential element for plants that shoot harvested. At that stage, the growth regulator application can directly increase the production quantively accelerate the potential formation and growth of roots and shoots. Coconut water is one of a  natural sources of growth hormone that has a potency to increase the early growth of the tea plant. This experiment aimed to find out the response of tea plant growth on the lowlands after centering with coconut water application. This experiment was conducted in experimental garden of Faculty of Agriculture Unpad, Jatinangor, Sumedang at an altitude of 750 m above sea level and Inceptisol terrestrial soil. The experiment began in February 2016 until June 2016 using Split Plot Design, consisting of two factors and three replications. The main plot is a type of clone (K) which consists of two levels, namely: k1 = GMB 7, k2 = GMB 11. Sub plot is a coconut water concentration (A) consisting of five levels: a0 = coconut water application (control), a1 = coconut water concentration 25%, a2 = coconut water concentration 50%, a3 = coconut water 75% concentration, a4 = coconut water 100% concentration. The experimental results showed that coconut water had a significant effect on all treatments. The interaction of plant height variable at 14 WAC - 16 WAC (Week After Centering), canopy width at 12 WAC - 16 WAC and stem diameter at 14 WAC - 16 WAC and no significant effect on plant height at 2 WAC - 12 WAC, canopy width at 2 WAC - 10 WAC, and stem diameter at 2 WAC - 12 WAC, at 2 WAC - 12 WAC. In general, GMB 11 clone tea plant that applied 75% coconut water performed the best growth response on tea growth in the lowlands after centering.

Abstract

Pembibitan merupakan salah satu tahapan dalam budidaya tanaman kopi yang harus diperhatikan agar dapat tumbuh optimal. Bibit yang baik perlu dipelihara, salah satu bagian dari pemeliharaan adalah pemupukan. Pupuk anorganik dapat dikurangi dengan penggunaan bahan organik, Salah satu contoh sumber bahan organik yang dapat digunakan untuk pemupukan pada tanaman kopi adalah urin kelinci dan air kelapa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi urin kelinci dan air kelapa terhadap peningkatan pertumbuhan bibit kopi arabika dan mengetahui konsentrasi optimum urin kelinci dan air kelapa yang dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit kopi arabika. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari bulan Januari 2023 sampai Mei 2023 dilakukan di Kebun Percobaan Ciparanje Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Padjadjaran, dengan ordo tanah Inceptisol, memiliki tipe iklim C berdasarkan klasifikasi Schmidt dan Ferguson, 1951. Perlakuan menggunakan urin kelinci dan air kelapa dengan konsentrasi masing-masing 25%, 50%, 75% dan kombinasi urin kelinci dan air kelapa dengan konsentrasi 25% dan 50%. Percobaan ini menggunakan metode eksperimen Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri dari sembilan perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Hasil percobaan menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh positif konsentrasi urin kelinci dan air kelapa terhadap variabel tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun pada bibit kopi arabika (Coffea arabica L.) kultivar Lini S795. Konsentrasi urin kelinci 75% dapat mengimbangi pemberian pupuk urea 0,2% dalam meningkatkan pertumbuhan bibit kopi arabika (Coffea arabica L.)/1kultivar Lini S795.

Abstract

Salah satu upaya untuk mewujudkan pertanaman kelapa sawit secara berkelanjutan adalah dengan penggunaan bakteri menguntungkan dan pupuk organik berbahan baku tandan kosong kelapa sawit (TKKS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh bakteri Bacillus sp. dan TKKS terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Kebun Percobaan Ciparanje, Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Padjadjaran dari bulan Februari sampai dengan Agustus 2022. Percobaan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan sembilan perlakuan yang diulang tiga kali dan setiap unit percobaan terdiri atas dua tanaman. Perlakuan yang diuji meliputi aplikasi A = 12,5 g pupuk NPK, B = 25 ml Bacillus sp., C = 150 g kompos TKKS, D = 25 ml Bacillus sp. + 100 g kompos TKKS, E = 25 ml Bacillus sp. + 150 g kompos TKKS, F = 25 ml Bacillus sp. + 200 g kompos TKKS, G = 35 ml Bacillus sp. + 100 g kompos TKKS, H = 35 ml Bacillus sp. + 150 g kompos TKKS, dan I = 35 ml Bacillus sp. + 200 g kompos TKKS per tanaman pada bibit kelapa sawit yang ditanam pada polybag. Hasil percobaan menunjukkan bahwa pemberian 25 mL Bacillus sp. yang diberikan bersamaan dengan aplikasi 150 g – 200 g kompos TKKS per tanaman di pembibitan awal (pre nursery) dan awal pembibitan utama (main nursery) menghasilkan kandungan klorofil daun bibit kelapa sawit tertinggi. Pemberian bakteri menguntungkan Bacillus sp. dan TKKS secara tunggal atau kombinasi berpengaruh sama baiknya dengan pupuk NPK terhadap pertumbuhan bibit kelapa sawit.

Abstract

Tanaman secang dapat diperbanyak secara generatif dengan melibatkan penggunaan zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT) untuk memperbaiki perkecambahan dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan kecambah sebelum pembibitan. Sementara itu, media tanam yang tepat dibutuhkan pada saat pembibitan untuk mendukung pertumbuhan bibit yang optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan perendaman ZPT auksin dan sitokinin serta media tanam yang berbeda dalam meningkatkan persentase perkecambahan benih dan pertumbuhan bibit secang. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan September-Desember 2021 di Kel. Gunung Gede, Kec. Kawalu, Kota Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat pada ketinggian 317 mdpl. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 14 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan yang diuji adalah perendaman benih secang menggunakan larutan ZPT (tanpa perendaman, perendaman dalam aquades, indole-3 acetic acid [IAA] 1,25 ppm, naphthalene-1-acetic acid [NAA] 1,25 ppm, 6-benyl amino purine [BAP] 1,25 ppm, IAA 1,25 ppm + BAP 1,25 ppm, NAA 1,25 ppm + BAP 1,25 ppm) dan jenis media tanam (topsoil, topsoil + pukan sapi 2:1). Hasil penelitian pada fase perkecambahan menunjukkan bahwa IAA + BAP 1,25 ppm mampu memberikan persentase perkecambahan dan kecepatan berkecambah terbaik sebesar 66,5% dan 7,3% KN/etmal. Hasil penelitian fase pembibitan menunjukkan adanya interaksi antara perlakuan perendaman larutan ZPT dengan penggunaan media tanam terhadap jumlah daun dan diameter batang bibit secang pada umur 12 minggu setelah tanam (MST).  Perlakuan perendaman NAA 1,25 ppm + BAP 1,25 ppm memberikan hasil terbaik pada jumlah daun umur 6 MST dan diameter batang bibit umur 12 MST. Penggunaan media tanam topsoil mampu meningkatkan hasil jumlah daun dan bobot kering total bibit secang.

Abstract

Organic fertilizer in the form of compost is possible to be continuesly applied in oil palm plantations, including in nurseries. This is one of the efforts to support the realization of sustainable oil palm plantations. This experiment aims to examine the effect of adding compost made out of empty oil palm bunches (EOPB) and bacteria Bacillus sp. applied either singly or in combination between the two to the state of the dry matter of oil palm seedlings. The experiment was carried out at the Ciparanje Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Padjadjaran University from February to May 2022. The experiment was a field test using a randomized block design consisting of nine treatments, repeated three times. The treatments included NPK inorganic fertilizer, Bacillus sp. (25 mL and 35 mL), EOPB compost (100 g, 150 g and 200 g) given to each oil palm seedlings. The experimental results showed that the administration of Bacillus sp. 25 mL/seedling alone had good effect on the dry weight of the roots and dry weight of the oil palm seedlings, while the addition of 150 g/seedling EOPB compost alone had a good effect on the dry weight of the oil palm seedling shoots. The condition of the dry matter of the seedlings with the provision of Bacillus sp. and EOPB compost is as good as oil palm seedlings which are only given NPK fertilizer so that in this case the EOPB compost and Bacillus sp. can be used as an alternative fertilizer to be applied in oil palm nurseries.

Abstract

The imbalance of nutrients and heavy metal contamination is a challenge in increasing plant growth surround the textile industry area. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the dosage of Biologically Agent N Organo Mineral Fertilizer (Biomix-N) as a fertilizer and an ameliorant in paddy soil contaminated with textile liquid waste. This study used a randomized block design of eight treatments with four replications. Parameters observed were soil chemical properties after application of Biomix-N (Na-ex, total N, EC, Cd, and pH), rice plant growth (plant height and tiller number), Cd concentration in the plant, and relative agronomic effectiveness (RAE). Data analysis used analysis of variance, Duncan's test at a 5% level, regression, and correlation analysis. The results showed that Biomix-N 500 kg ha-1 affected the value of EC and total N, while it did not affect Na-ex, Cd, pH and Cd uptake by the paddy plant. Biomix-N fertilization affects the height and number of tillers of rice plants at the age of 70 DAP. Biomix-N fertilization 500 kg ha-1 gave an RAE value of 126-176% compared to the control treatment. The total N content of the soil has a high value of coefficient determinant and correlation (R2= 0.76; R = 0.9) on the growth of rice plants. Applying Biomix-N 500 kg ha-1 equal to 300 kg ha-1 of urea was an effective dose for paddy soil surround the textile industrial area.Keywords: Cadmium, nutrient balance, soil amendment
