Abstract

Orang tua merupakan sosok yang paling berpengaruh dalam fase penting ini. Sehingga penting bagi orang tua untuk memiliki pengetahuan terkait dengan perkembangan anak agar dapat menunjukan pola pengasuhan yang mampu membantu proses tumbuh kembang anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan orang tua terkait perkembangan anak usia 0-2 tahun untuk aspek perkembangan kognitif, sosio-emosi dan motoric. Jumlah subjek penelitian ini yaitu 179 orang yang terdiri dari 152 orang perempuan dan 27 orang laki-laki. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonprobability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitiatif. Hasil menunjukan bahwa sebanyak 109 (60,9%) orang tua memiliki pengetahuan yang dengan kategori tinggi dan sebanyak 70 (39,1%) orang tua memiliki pengetahuan yang rendah terkait perkembangan anak. Secara keseluruhan terdapat perbedaan antara tingkat pengetahuan ayah dengan tingkat pengetahuan ibu (sig.0.046).

Abstract

The prolonged quarantine during the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on negative emotions, and psychological problems that arise when children have to learn from home such as boredom and decreased motivation to learn. Parents as learning companions for their children experienced fatigue. Therefore, Department of Psychology, Andalas University, holded community service activities in the form of online workshops using technological media (webinars) to increase mental health knowledge in the fields of education, community and family in facing the COVID-19 pandemic as a manifestation readiness to enter a new normal era. The purpose of this service program is for the people of Padang, especially when accompanying children while learning from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely helping teachers, students, parents and the public meet health protocols and stay happy, and prevent COVID-19 cases in both sector education and family. This activity consisted of learning from home mentoring and mindfulness training for teenagers. Children need socio-emotional competence to stay focused and creative when learning from home. The evaluation of these educational activities was identified through a survey after the webinar. The questionnaire link was provided on Zoom Application during the event. The result of this activity was knowledge about mental health for teachers, students and parents in dealing with children and adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemicABSTRAK:Karantina berkepanjangan selama pandemi covid-19 berdampak pada emosi negatif, dan masalah psikologis yang muncul ketika anak harus belajar dari rumah seperti kebosanan, dan menurunnya motivasi belajar. Orang tua sebagai pendamping belajar anak pun mengalami kelelahan. Oleh karena itu, Program Studi Psikologi Universitas Andalas mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa workshop dalam bentuk daring menggunakan media teknologi (webinar) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kesehatan mental di bidang pendidikan, sosial masyarakat, dan keluarga dalam menghadapi pandemi COVID-19 sebagai bentuk kesiapan memasuki era normal baru. Tujuan program pengabdian ini adalah untuk masyarakat kota Padang khususnya saat mendampingi anak belajar dari rumah selama pandemi COVID- 19 yaitu membantu guru, siswa, wali murid, dan masyarakat umum memenuhi protokol kesehatan dan tetap merasa bahagia, serta mencegah kasus COVID- 19 di sektor pendidikan dan keluarga melalui pelatihan mindfullness. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari pelatihan pendampingan belajar dari rumah dan mindfulness untuk anak-remaja. Anak perlu kompetensi sosio-emosional agar tetap fokus dan kreatif selama belajar dari rumah. Evaluasi kegiatan edukasi ini diketahui melalui survei setelah acara webinar. Link kuisioner diberikan di media Zoom saat acara berlangsung. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah pengetahuan tentang kesehatan mental pada guru, siswa, dan orang tua dalam menghadapi anak-anak dan remaja selama masa pandemi COVID-19.

Abstract

Survivors of Covid-19 can still experience symptoms such as being still infected with a virus known as Long Covid-19. Covid-19 survivors with long Covid-19 experience physical and psychological disorders. Psychological disorders include cognitive disorders, memory loss, anxiety, sleep disorders, quality of life disorders, and work problems. This problem will undoubtedly impact individual productivity, so it is necessary to carry out a "Long Covid-19 Hotline". This activity aims to provide health services to Covid-19 survivors to overcome their Post-Covid conditions. The Psychologist Team of Psychology Study Program and Respiration and Pulmonology Medical Faculty Universitas Andalas conducted this activity by telephone in September and October 2021. Activities were carried out by providing psychological consultation or further recommendations for participants' psychological complaints. The results of the psychological condition of participants using Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) 7 screening tools showed that the highest complaints were anxiety at 46%, insomnia at 24%, difficulty concentrating at 13%, and depression at 9% and stress at 8%. As for the follow-up results after the consultation, 90% of participants' psychological complaints were reduced, 89% of participants had made follow-up recommendations, and 100% of participants felt this activity was beneficial. Based on a survey of Covid-19 survivors, their psychological condition improved after conducting a Long Covid-19 Hotline.

Abstract

One of the learning methods provided during the online system is group assignments. But, group assignments which are expected to reduce the workload, without realizing it, can lead to social loafing behavior in students. Social loafing is a decrease in individual performance when working in groups, compared to when working alone. This study aims to get a Desccription of Social Loafing Behavior among Students of Andalas University in Doing Group Assignments through an Online System. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods with a sample of 347 Andalas University students, who meet certain criteria through purposive sampling technique. The measuring instrument used is a modification of the Social Loafing scale made by Purna, Armalita, and Oktari (2021), based on aspects of social loafing that have been proposed by Myers (2012), with a reliability coefficient of 0.972. The results showed that 72,3% or as many as 254 Andalas University students were in the medium category of social loafing. Based on the aspects of social loafing, the highest mean value is found in the aspect of widening of responsibilities, and the lowest mean value is in the aspect passivity. Salah satu metode belajar yang diberikan selama sistem daring adalah tugas kelompok. Namun tugas kelompok dapat memunculkan perilaku social loafing pada mahasiswa. Social loafing merupakan penurunan performa individu selama berkeja dalam kelompok, dibandngkan ketika bekerja secara sendiri. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk melihat gambara perilaku social loafing pada mahasiswa Universitas Andalas dalam mengerjakan tugas kelompok melalui sistem daring. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan sampel sebanyak 347 mahasiswa Universitas Andalas yang memenuhi kriteria tertentu melalui teknik purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah modifikasi dari skala Social Loafing yang dibuat oleh Purna, Armalita, dan Oktari (2021), berdasarkan aspek-aspek social loafing yang telah dikemukkan oleh Myers (2012) dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,972. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa gambaran perilaku social loafing pada mahasiswa Universitas andalas berada kategori sedang dengan persentase 73,3% atau sebnyak 254 responden. Berdasarkan aspek social loafing dengan nilai mean tertinggi yaitu pada aspek pelebaran tanggung jawab, dan nilai mean tererndah pada aspek sikap pasif.

Abstract

Proses pengobatan melalui kemoterapi pada anak dengan Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) membutuhkan waktu yang lama dan merupakan proses yang menyakitkan. Hal ini menyebabkan munculnya stres pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menerapkan intervensi therapeutic storytelling untuk menurunkan tingkat stres anak. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini adalah 2 anak ALL berusia 10-12 tahun yang menjalani kemoterapi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan desain penelitian subjek tunggal (small-n). Intervensi diberikan melalui proses mendongeng dengan buku cerita yang disusun oleh peneliti. Ceritanya melibatkan elemen positif (Cope, Hope, Inner Strengths, Love, dan Dream) yang membantu anak untuk mengidentifikasi elemen positif yang mereka miliki yang dapat mereka gunakan untuk melakukan tinjauan terhadap situasi yang dihadapi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terapi storytelling dapat menurunkan tingkat stres pada anak ALL.

Abstract

Technological advances bring transformation in employment, such as the shift of work towards digitalization. The covid-19 pandemic has also encouraged increasing technology use at work. The impact of this phenomenon is reducing the need for human resources, which increases competition in the world of work. Generation Z is a generation that currently and will face this change where they are required to have more skills so they able to compete to get and maintain their jobs.. Self-perceived employability measures individual perceptions of their ability to get and keep jobs later. This study aims to get an overview of the level of self-perceived employability in Generation Z in Indonesia by involving 1157 college students in their third and fourth years. The data was collected from 23 provinces spread across western, central, and eastern Indonesia using the online platform. The results showed that most Generation Z in Indonesia have high (67%) and moderate levels of self-perceived employability (32%). In addition, it was also found that some factors can impact increasing students' views of their employability skills. The factors are being active in organizations on campus and off campus (freelance, entrepreneurship), English proficiency (active and passive), and the Career Center in Higher Education. Abstract

Working in a group setting is commonly implemented in higher education as part of student-centered learning. However, the social loafing phenomenon has been reported to disrupt the performance of university students in group assignments. The current study aims to examine the influence of achievement goal orientation and cohesivity on social loafing among undergraduate students. A total of 377 undergraduate students (70.8% females) in Indonesia was recruited through cluster random sampling. All respondents answered three questionnaires, namely Social Loafing, Achievement Goal Orientation, and Cohesivity Scales. Partial Least Squares Path Modeling (PLS-PM) was used to analyze the correlations among variables that were built into the research model. The results showed that both achievement goal orientation and cohesivity had a significant negative effect on social loafing. In addition, cohesivity was reported to partially mediate the effect of achievement goal orientation on social loafing. It was also revealed that the research model was a fairly high model fit to explain the relations among variables in the study. These findings suggest that both achievement goal orientation and group cohesivity could reduce social loafing tendency during group tasks among university students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of psychoeducation on dangers and how to deal with bullying through the "No Bullying 2023" Webinar. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental method by comparing the results of pre-test and post-test on the "No Bullying 2023" Webinar participants. Participants in this study counted 225 participants who met the criterias as such: registered and filled out the pre-test on the online form, participated in webinar activities as evidenced by filling out the attendance list and post-test, willing to provide their data for research, whose age around 10 to 30, or were in adolescent and early adult categories. The pre-test and post-test results were analyzed using a paired sample t-test and the Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.000 with a t value of 8.582 which means that there is a significant increase in knowledge of the participants in the Webinar "No Bullying 2023”

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas dampak psikoedukasi terhadap parenting stress pada ibu dengan anak usia 1-10 tahun di era milenial. Parenting stress menjadi tantangan yang signifikan bagi orang tua dalam mendidik anak-anak. Psikoedukasi, pendekatan intervensi yang menggabungkan unsur pendidikan dan informasi psikologis, digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan dalam mengelola stress. Penelitian melibatkan 23 ibu yang mengikuti program psikoedukasi melalui presentasi dan sesi diskusi. Materi mencakup pola perilaku anak, cara menghadapi anak sesuai perkembangannya, dan menjaga kesehatan mental orang tua. Hasil menunjukkan partisipasi aktif peserta dan pertanyaan yang beragam selama sesi diskusi. Program ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan orang tua dan mengurangi parenting stress.
