Abstract

Wamena sebagai salah satu sentra pertanian organik di wilayah Indonesia Timur yang memiliki potensi yang cukup besar dalam pengembangan sektor pertanian, khususnya pengembangan tanaman pangan dan hortikultura. Seiring dengan itu, saat ini telah meningkat dengan pesat pola pertanian organik mulai menjadi idola dalam dunia pertanian. Produk pertanian yang selama ini menggunakan pupuk kimia dan pestisida non-organik mulai tergantikan dengan produk pertanian organik yang memanfaatkan bahan alami, sebagai pupuk maupun pestisida. Salah satu faktor penghambat dalam budi daya tanaman adalah serangan hama dan patogen. Pengendalian hama dan patogen di Wamena sejauh ini tidak dilakukan dengan sebagaimana mestinya bahkan dikatakan tradisional, seperti hanya melalui pengasapan disekitar tanaman yang dibudidaya. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani di Desa Isaba Himan, Distrik Siepkosi, Kota Wamena, Kabupaten Jayawijaya dalam membuat dan mengaplikasikan pestisida nabati (pestisida alami) untuk mengendalikan hama dan patogen pada tanaman yang dibudidayakan. Pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui KKN-PPM ini adalah dengan memberikan sosialisasi serta pelatihan pembuatan pestisida nabati dengan bahan-bahan yang ada dilingkungan sekitar. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah masyarakat di Distrik Siepkosi dapat mengembangkan pengetahuan terkait pestisida nabati guna membantu meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman, sehingga masyarakat dapat meningkatkan sistem pertanian organik yang telah ada. Kata Kunci: Pestisida Nabati, Pupuk Organik Cair, Pertanian Organik, Wamena, Papua.Abstract Wamena as one of the centers of organic agriculture in Eastern Indonesia which has considerable potential in the development of the agricultural sector, especially the development of food crops and horticulture. Along with that, nowadays has increased rapidly the pattern of organic farming began to become an idol in the world of agriculture. Agricultural products that have been using chemical fertilizers and non-organic pesticides have begun to be replaced with organic agricultural products that utilize natural ingredients, like fertilizers and pesticides. One inhibiting factor in plant cultivation is the attack of pests and pathogens. So far, the control of pests and pathogens in Wamena is not done properly as it is even said to be traditional, such as only through fumigation around cultivated plants. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in Isaba Himan Village, Siepkosi District, Wamena City, Jayawijaya Regency in making and applying plant-based pesticides (natural pesticides) to control pests and pathogens in cultivated plants. The implementation of activities through KKN-PPM is to provide socialization and training in making botanical pesticides with materials in the surrounding environment. The result of this community service is that people in Siepkosi District can develop knowledge related to botanical pesticides to increase crop productivity so that the community can improve existing organic farming systems.Keywords: Botanical Pesticides, Liquid Organic Fertilizers, Organic Agriculture, Wamena, Papua.

Abstract

Nitrogen is the most dominant element affecting plant growth compared to other elements. Whereas Fe is rare. The occurrence of symptoms in parts of the plant (especially leaves) is then expressed as a lack of Fe availability because of the imbalance in the Fe availability with Calcium in the soil which is excessive on Calsium and alkaline. The purpose of this research was to knowing the symptoms of agility and poisoning of macro and micro-nutritional elements on physiological properties and growth of tomato plants. The research had been conductedin January - March 2017 at Green House and Laboratory of Agriculture of STIPER Petra Baliem Wamena, Papua. The treatments were assigned in Completely Randomized Design with addition of N and Fe i.e. without Fe (-Fe), 3x Fe (3Fe), 3x N, treatment of N + Fe (complete) and without N (-N), then followed by Duncan's multiple ranges test at level 0.5. The results showed the treatment of 3xN and 3xFe of the Hoagland dose 2 solution had not reached the maximum level so that it had not shown any toxic symptoms, symptoms of N deficiency were chlorosis (pale green to yellow) in old leaves, stunted growth, and more leaf necrosis bottom in cases of severe N deficiency, and 3xFe treatment of Hoagland 2 doses resulted in the lowest plant height estimated due to iron toxicity. Keywords: Hara, Physiology, Pomatoes

Abstract

Nutrient absorption in plants must be complex. Plants were able to produce optimum productivity, if the land grew the plant had a good fertility rate. The elements were most needed by plants to complete their life cycles were elements of N, P, and K. The purpose of this research was to estimate soil fertility to biological nutrition. The research was conducted in September until November 2017 at Green House of STIPER Petra Baliem Wamena, Papua. The treatments were assigned in Randomized Complete Design with a combination of fertilization, namely:Control (Without Treatment (K0), without N (PK), without P (NK), without K (NP), and complete fertilizer (NPK). The data was analyzed by using Anova with α = 5%, then followed by DMRT α 5%. The results showed that NK treatment gave a good effect for plant growth especially on plant height and ratio of plant leaf area. While, NP treatment gave a good influence to plant physiological properties, such as plant chlorophyll content and plant rate of assimilation.Keywords: effectiveness, hara, mayze

Abstract

Local community development is a process aimed at creating social and economic progress for the community to be directly involved in empowering farmers in Heberima Village, Jayawijaya Regency with the aim of helping farmers develop and cultivate their land to be productive and able to prosper farmers. In addition, it can also directly develop organic farming systems that have been implemented for a long time. The method of implementations this activity is carried out by socialization, mentoring, training and workshops. This activity was carried out in July-October 2021. The results of the implementation of this activity have a positive impact and good learning for students, institutions, partners and local governments in processing unproductive land into productive land and increasing farmers' income by aligning agricultural and tourism activities. The percentage of achievement of the results of service activities is 80% of farmers as land owners who are very enthusiastic in implementing the intended PHP2D activities.

Abstract

Reforestation is implemented as an effort to create a beautiful area with a variety of environmental benefits such as maintaining the balance of water system in nature, preventing the occurrence of soil erosion and earth erosion. Reforestation is an effort to plant trees and plants in a place that is considered to be a growing flower of the plant. Green land is aimed to restore, and increase the productivity of the land that condition is damaged to be able to function optimally through environmental activities. The purpose of this dedication is as a process of scientific implementation for the community in reducing the form of air pollution in the church, preventing flooding and motivating citizens to care about the church environment where the worship. The results of this activity demonstrate the enthusiasm of the church congregations in an effort to create a clean, green and healthy church environment beginning with the cleansing of the environment, planting of trees, and awareness to maintain and preserve the environment through the implementation of the Community devotion activities. Reforestation is one of the important activities done in reducing the impact of the environmental crisis.

Abstract

Pandanus conoidus, or red fruit, is a nutrient-dense native Papuan plant, whereas Ipomea batatas are the main food for the Wamena people. Biomass from red fruit seed waste can be used as liquid smoke to control Ipomea batatas . At a temperature of between 300 - 450 °C, liquid smoke is produced through a pyrolysis process. Pyrolysis produces phenolic chemicals and aldehydes that have antioxidant and antimicrobial properties (anti-bacterial and anti-fungal). The assessment of pH, acidity, and phenol concentration characterizes the quality of liquid smoke. The potential of red fruit seed waste as a liquid smoke product for biopesticides in Ipomea batatas is explored in this study. Additionally, study development aims to determine the optimal method for pyrolyzing red fruit seed waste, its characteristics, chemical content, and the way to use liquid smoke as a biopesticide in Ipomea batatas . The results showed that the liquid smoke of grade 3 red fruit seed waste contains 7 components that can be detected using a mass spectrometer. The higher the concentration of liquid smoke produced by grade 3 red fruit seeds, the higher the possibility of Cylas formicarius mortality. Cylas formicarius had the highest mortality rate (90%) when tested at a 7% test solution concentration.

Abstract

The marginal sandy coastal land should be utilized to maintain production level of shallot. But for increasing the productivity of sandy coastal land, in the shallot cultivation should be applied biological fertilizers, such as Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR). The purpose of this research was to obtain the most effective isolate of PGPR (Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria) to the growth of three shallot cultivars in the sandy coastal land. The research had been conducted in August-November 2015 at Samas sandy coastal land, Bantul. The Factorial treatments were assigned in Randomized Complete Block Design with three blocks as replications. The first factor was shallot cultivars consisted of Crok, Tiron and Tuk-tuk, while the second factor was the PGPR suspension, i.e. control (without PGPR), PGPR isolates BP25.2 (Bacillus methylotrophicus), BP25.6 (Bacillus amyloliquofaciens), BP25.7 (Bacillus subtilis), BrSM 4 (Burkholderiacepacia), and BrSG 5 (Burkholderiaseminalis). The data of growth and yield were analyzed using ANOVA with α = 5%, then followed by DMRT α 5% . The result showed that Tiron cultivar was able to grow in sandy coastal land, proven from its good germination, high number of bulb, high fresh weight, and dry weight of bulb. Meanwhile, BP25.2 isolate was able to increase seed growth simultaneously of Tiron cultivar and BrSM 4 isolate was able to increase the chlorophyll content of Tuk-tuk cultivars.

Abstract

Kebutuhan akan buah jeruk dari tahun ke tahun terus meningkat.  Berbagai upaya terus dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman jeruk. Salah satunya adalah melalui perbanyakan vegetatif seperti okulasi dengan bantuan ZPT ekstrak bawang merah. Pelaksanaan penelitian dilakukan selama 2 (dua) bulan yaitu mulai bulan September - Oktober 2018. Alasan penelitian ini dilaksanakan adalah karena sejauh ini penggunaan ekstrak bawang merah dalam okulasi jeruk belum banyak dilakukan di dataran Wamena. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh ekstrak bawang merah terhadap okulasi tanaman jeruk (Citrus sp.) dan konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah berapaka yang terbaik bagi keberhasilan okulasi, dengan rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok yang terdiri dari 4 aras konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah dan apabila menunjukkan pengaruh nyata maka akan dianalisis lanjut dengan uji BNT (Tukey) taraf 5 %. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 3 kali, macam perlakuannya adalah: M0 (Konsentrasi 0% (300 ml air tanpa ekstrak bawang merah); M1 (Konsentrasi 25%); M2 (Konsentrasi 50%); M3 (Konsentrasi 75%). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak bawang merah berpengaruh nyata terhadap saat munculnya tunas (HSO), jumlah daun (helai), tinggi tunas (cm), persentase keberhasilan okulasi hidup (%) yang ditunjukkan oleh konsentrasi ekstrak bawang merah 50% (perlakuan M2).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Radish (Raphanus sativus L.) are tuber-shaped vegetable that contains antibiotics against several types of bacteria and antioxidants. Growth regulators (PGR) are organic compounds other than nutrients that in small amounts can stimulate, inhibit or change pattern of plant growth and development. One of PGR that easily obtained is coconut water. This PGR contains several hormones which are very important for plant growth and development. This study aims to determine effect of coconut water concentration on growth and development of radish and to determine the best concentration of coconut water for growth and yield of radish. The study was conducted with experimental design used was Complete Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD), which consisted of L0: 0%; L1: 25% concentration; L2: 50%; L3: 75%; and L4: 100% concentration. The results showed concentration of coconut water significantly affected growth and yield of radish, namely the observation of 2, 4 and 6 weeks after moving planting (WAMP), parameters of plant height and number of leaves indicated on the observation of 6 WAMP, and weight of radish tubers. Then, the concentration of coconut water that is suitable for growth and yield of radish is a concentration of 50% and 75%. Key words: Coconut Water, Concentration, PGR, Radish, Rhapanus sativus. ABSTRAK Lobak (Raphanus sativus L.) merupakan salah satu sayuran yang berbentuk umbi yang mengandung antibiotik terhadap beberapa jenis bakteri dan antioksidan. Zat pengatur tumbuh (ZPT) adalah persenyawaan organik selain dari nutrien yang dalam jumlah sedikit dapat merangsang, menghambat atau mengubah pola pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman. Salah satu ZPT yang mudah diperoleh adalah air kelapa. ZPT ini mempunyai kandungan beberapa hormon yang sangat penting bagi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh konsentrasi air kelapa terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman lobak serta Untuk mengetahui konsentrasi air kelapa yang terbaik bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman lobak (Raphanus sativus L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada juni hingga September 2018 dengan susunan rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL), yang terdiri atas L0: Konsentrasi 0%; L1: Konsentrasi 25%; L2: Konsentrasi 50%; L3: Konsentrasi 75%; L4: Konsentrasi 100%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan konsentrasi air kelapa berpengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman lobak, yakni pada pengamatan 2, 4 dan 6 MSPT parameter tinggi tanaman lobak, dan parameter jumlah daun yang ditunjukkan pada pengamatan 6 MST, serta bobot umbi lobak. Kemudian, konsentrasi air kelapa yang sesuai bagi pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman lobak adalah konsentrasi 50% dan 75%. Kata kunci: Air Kelapa, Konsentrasi, Lobak, Rhapanus sativus L, ZPT.

Abstract

Upaya untuk mencapai produksi yang tinggi dapat melalui berbagai asupan sarana produksi seperti pupuk, hormon untuk pertumbuhan atau pestisida banyak digunakan dalam usaha pertanian. Salah satunya adalah dengan penggunaan pupuk organik. Pupuk organik yang digunakan adalah limbah cair tahu dari industri tahu. Limbah tahu mengandung unsur hara N 1,24%, P2O5 5.54 %, K2O 1,34 % dan C-Organik 5,803 % yang merupakan unsur hara essensial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian limbah cair tahu terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi putih (Brassica pekinensis). Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Juni hingga Agustus 2018 dengan susunan rancangan percobaan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL), yang terdiri atas T0: Konsentrasi 0%; T1: Konsentrasi 10%; T2: Konsentrasi 20%; T3: Konsentrasi 30%; T4: Konsentrasi 40%. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh menunjukkan pemberian perlakuan pupuk cair organik limbah cair tahu mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman sawi putih secara nyata pada semua parameter pengamatan yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, dan berat segar tanaman. Konsentrasi terbaik adalah 10 % (T1) dan 20 % (T2) dalam meningkatkan parameter tinggi tanaman dan jumlah daun. Sedangkan, kosentrasi terbaik parameter produksi adalah konsentrasi 30 % (T3), dengan berat produksi 13,57 g.
