Abstract

This article discusses the role and responsibilities of students in society from the perspective of social philosophy. Students are seen as agents of change who have a great moral and intellectual responsibility in shaping a more just and sustainable society. The literature study approach is used to explore social philosophy concepts that are relevant to student participation in society. The results of the analysis show that the use of philosophical thinking as a basis for action by students, such as the concept of social justice according to John Rawls, Mahatma Gandhi's non-violent approach, and Paulo Freire's critical thinking, allows them to become more effective agents of change. Students are also involved in various social and political activities, such as protests, advocacy campaigns, volunteer activities, as well as participation in political movements, as a concrete form of their role as agents of social change. Challenges and obstacles students face, such as unsupportive authority reactions, risks of repression, and internal conflicts, are also discussed. Strategies to increase student roles and responsibilities, such as education and critical awareness, involvement in student organizations, community service programs, collaboration with external parties, and advocacy and social campaigns through social media, are proposed as measures to help students play a more active and effective role in building a more just, democratic, and sustainable society.

Abstract

Sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools, religious-based educational institutions that emphasize moral and spiritual values, is a complex and concerning issue. These cases often lead to stigma that prolongs trauma for the victims. This research uses Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory to analyze the causes and psychological impact of sexual violence, using a case study method. The research involves interviews with victims as well as psychoanalysts or counselors, and data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman method which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools can take the form of kissing, hugging, or touching vital parts, often under the guise of affection or orders from authority figures. The psychological impact of victims can be severe, especially since many choose to remain silent. Psychological dynamics that are unconscious and embedded in the victim's subconscious require in-depth exploration. Sexual violence impacts the three psychological components: id, ego, and superego, resulting in repression of traumatic experiences into the subconscious, dissociation, and PTSD symptoms. Healing efforts can be made through exploration of the subconscious with free association, dream analysis, and identification and processing of internal conflicts. This method also involves transference and countertransference. This research is expected to enrich the understanding of the forms of sexual violence in Islamic boarding schools, the psychological mechanisms underlying the impact on victims, and relevant psychological interventions for healing.

Abstract

TikTok was selected as a learning platform due to its potential to foster an engaging educational environment that aligns with students' digital habits. This study aims to explore the use of the TikTok account marhaban.academy in teaching Arabic listening skills to students at Al-Azhar 29 BSB Islamic Preparatory School, as well as to evaluate its effectiveness. The research adopts a quasi-experimental quantitative design. Data were collected through observation and testing, including pre-tests and post-tests administered to eighth-grade students. The sample consisted of 50 students from classes VIII C and VIII D. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, and an independent samples t-test. The hypothesis testing resulted in t count = 2.096, exceeding the critical value t table = 2.021 at a 0.05 significance level, indicating a significant improvement in students' listening skills. The findings demonstrate that TikTok, specifically marhaban.academy, serves as an effective medium for enhancing Arabic listening skills. Moreover, its popularity as a social media platform opens new opportunities for integrating Arabic language instruction across the four core skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—in schools, particularly at the junior high school level.

The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review, which collects and analyzes data from various academic sources to understand the practice of discipline education. The results show that discipline serves as an educational tool to shape student behavior and includes various strategies, such as advice from teachers, role models, parental involvement, and the application of rules and habituation programs. However, challenges in the implementation of discipline character education arise from the lack of family support, the negative influence of friends, and unsupportive community environmental conditions. In conclusion, discipline character education is very important and requires cooperation between teachers, parents, and the community to create an environment that supports the development of students' character. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more effective disciplinary character education model.

Abstract

Religious education in public schools plays an important role in shaping the spiritual, ethical, and moral character of students, but its implementation faces a number of complex obstacles. This study aims to identify various challenges in religious education in public schools, particularly time constraints, and to offer relevant solutions to optimize its implementation. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing literature from national journals, proceedings, and scientific books over the last ten years to obtain a comprehensive picture of this issue. The results of the analysis show that time constraints are a major factor affecting the depth of students' understanding of religious values, as limited class hours often make the learning process formal and fail to touch on affective and applicative aspects. Other significant challenges include low student interest and motivation to learn, limited digital learning facilities that can support creativity, and limited teacher competence in developing innovative contextual methods. In addition, the multicultural factor in the form of diversity in students' cultural and religious backgrounds requires a high level of sensitivity so that religious education remains inclusive and harmonious. The conclusion findings of this study demonstrate that enhancing the quality of religious education necessitates a multifaceted approach that extends beyond mere augmentation of instructional hours. Achieving this objective necessitates a multifaceted approach, encompassing comprehensive support from various stakeholders, including teachers, schools, families, and policymakers

Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of student fiqh in halal and haram animal material through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model supported by Mind Mapping techniques. This material often causes difficulties for students, especially in distinguishing the types of animals according to Islamic law. As a result, student learning outcomes tend to be low and often below the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM). To overcome this, this class action research is carried out in three cycles which include the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Each cycle showed a significant improvement in learning outcomes. In the first cycle, student learning outcomes reached 48%, increased to 68% in the second cycle, and reached 88% in the third cycle. The use of PBL assisted by Mind Mapping has been proven to help students understand the material in a more in-depth and structured way. With this approach, students are invited to solve real problems that are relevant to daily life, so that the concepts learned are easier to understand and apply. Mind Mapping, as a visual aid, also makes it easier for students to organize information, remember, and understand concepts more systematically. The results of this study show that the application of the PBL Model assisted by Mind Mapping can be an effective learning strategy to improve fiqh learning outcomes on complex materials such as halal and haram animals. The results of the descriptive analysis of the research showed an increase in the learning outcomes of students in class VI MI Al Falah Gedongan. In cycle I (48%), cycle II (68%) and cycle III (88%). The conclusion of this study is that the application of the PBL model assisted by Mind Mapping can improve the learning outcomes of grade VI students of MI Al Falah Gedongan Baki Sukoharjo, and PBL model learning can be used as an alternative to fiqh learning

Abstract

This research provides an important contribution in understanding the application of character apples as a medium for forming students' religious values at SDN Ngaliyan 01 Semarang City. Apple activities carried out regularly have proven to be effective in helping students internalize religious values, such as discipline, honesty, cleanliness and concern for others. The results of this research are in line with the Value Theory developed by Milton Rokeach, which emphasizes the importance of habits and social support in forming fundamental values in individuals. Routine practices such as group prayer and conveying moral messages help internalize values in students. The research also identifies barriers, such as religious diversity and time constraints, and offers solutions. With evidence of the positive impact of character apples, this research provides guidance for schools and stakeholders to form a moral and spiritual generation. Apart from that, the role of teachers and school principals as role models is also emphasized as the main element in supporting the significant strengthening of students' religious values. This research not only strengthens religious character education efforts but can also be an inspiration for other schools in developing similar programs on an ongoing basis.
