Abstract

Current Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policies are often judged to be less targeted and unsustainable, causing disappointment to the community and government. In order for this CSR policy to be right on target and sustainable, then it needs to be based on the policy of accelerating the achievement of the Village Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Bengkalis Regency currently has one large company, namely PT. Pertamina Sungai Pakning which is committed to the implementation of CSR. The company has made a CSR policy from 2014, but this CSR policy has not been based on the Village SDGs. The purpose of this study is to develop CSR policies based on Village SDGs in order to assist villages in accelerating the achievement of national development goals. This study uses a qualitative method. The results of the study found that the development of CSR policies can be formulated using an incremental policy model by maintaining the fields of education, health, the environment and adding several fields, namely the economic, social, institutional and technological fields which have implications for the objectives of the Village SDGs. This policy can be realized through charity programs, infrastructure, capacity building, and community empowerment.

Abstract

Cooking oil is one of the basic needs of Indonesian people in order to fulfill their daily food needs. However, in 2022, Indonesia will experience a shortage of cooking oil stocks, resulting in high cooking oil prices on the market. This phenomenon also occurs in the city of Pekanbaru, so this research aims to determine the supervision of the Pekanbaru City Trade and Industry Department in distributing subsidized cooking oil and find out the obstacles faced in distributing subsidized cooking oil. The theory used is the Supervision theory from Manullang (2015) which uses three indicators, namely establishing a measuring instrument (Standard), carrying out an assessment (Evaluate), and taking corrective action (Corrective Action). The research method used is a qualitative research method. The results of this research conclude that the supervision carried out by the Pekanbaru City Department of Trade and Industry is not optimal, because it is still found that monitoring and evaluation has not been carried out thoroughly and is still limited. The obstacle faced by the Pekanbaru City Trade and Industry Service is the lack of Human Resources (HR) in carrying out supervision, so that the supervision process carried out by the Pekanbaru City Trade and Industry Service cannot cover all areas affected by the price of cooking oil.

Abstract

Kuantan Singingi Regency is one of the regencies in Riau Province which is growing rapidly in recent years, one of which is in the field of oil palm plantations. However, due to the rapid establishment of oil palm companies, it causes a lot of palm oil waste disposal caused by the disposal of these companies. The purpose of this study was to determine the supervision of palm oil waste by the Environmental Service of Kuantan Singingi Regency (Case Study: Sungai Bawang Pollution). Then to find out the inhibiting factors in the implementation of waste control in the Bawang River, Singingi Hilir District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The monitoring activities that have been carried out are the activities of controlling palm oil waste with a percentage exceeding the quality standard, the activities carried out by the Environmental Service are not yet maximal so that violations pass the quality standards, and the lack of firmness in giving sanctions to companies is a phenomenon found. This type of research is qualitative research with a descriptive case study approach. The collection of data obtained, both primary data and secondary data were collected through interviews, observations and documentation and then analyzed so that conclusions can be drawn from existing research problems. The results of this study found that the supervision of the environmental service in the supervision of palm oil waste has not been carried out optimally, this is caused by several inhibiting factors, namely the ability of human resources, funds and infrastructure and company behavior

Abstract

Leadership in an organization greatly influences employees, especially the style applied by a leader to influence employees to be ethical and behave in accordance with applicable norms. In accordance with the Kuantan regent's regulations, article 5 number 37 of 2018 concerning the obligation to be a leader to guide and direct subordinates to behave ethically in carrying out their duties. This is related to the style applied by the Pangean sub-district head in the Pangean sub-district head's office, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The purpose of this research is to find out the style of the Pangean sub-district head and what factors hinder the sub-district head in enforcing employee discipline in the Pangean sub-district office. The theory used in the research is the theory of Hersey and Blancard in Pasalong(2013:50-51) which uses indicators of leader instruction style, leader consultation style, leader participation style, and leader delegation style. A qualitative descriptive research method was used, which involved collecting data through observation and interviews as well as documentation. Data analysis used includes collection, reduction, presentation and drawing conclusions. According to the research results, the sub-district head's style in enforcing employee discipline in the Pangean sub-district sub-district office in terms of instructions is quite optimal, seen from the implementation of morning and afternoon roll calls, there the sub-district head can provide motivation and direction to employees. In terms of consultation, it doesn't play a role because the sub-district head doesn't consult enough with employees when employees commit violations. In terms of participation, it is good and in terms of delegation, the sub-district head is quite good, but it must be improved so that employees can be disciplined well, so that they can provide satisfaction to the community and the goals they achieve. planned can be achieved optimally

Abstract

This research aims to find out and explain the role of the library and archives service in increasing reading interest among students in Pekanbaru City and the inhibiting factors in increasing reading interest among students in Pekanbaru City. The theory used in this research is the role form theory from Jam Ife and Frank Tesoriero (2014) which is divided into four role forms, namely (1) Facilitative Role, (2) Educational Role, (3) Representative Role, (4) Technical Role. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, data collection techniques obtained through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research show that in its facilitative role the library service has and is implementing innovations and work programs which are expected to increase students' interest in reading, namely active school literacy programs, digital library applications and also burning innovations (reading out loud). In its educational role, the department regularly carries out visits or outreach to existing schools. During these visits, the department will socialize about interest in reading to students and conduct training to school libraries where library training is available, such as evaluating whether the school library is appropriate or not with the provisions of a good library. In the role of representatives of the Pekanbaru library and archives department, they have collaborated with schools in Pekanbaru in order to increase students' interest in reading, namely by regularly making visits to schools in turn and during these visits the department will carry out outreach and also take the library car around. and for other collaborations, namely with other departments. In a technical role, it is known that the library service has human resources who are skilled in processing existing data. The inhibiting factors in increasing students' interest in reading are the lack of facilities and book collections in school libraries, and the lack of human resources such as librarians in managing the libraries in each school.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the developing countries, to carry out fair and equitable development throughout Indonesia, there is a need for sufficient energy as a driving motor for development itself. Electricity distribution in Pekanbaru, as in other regions of Indonesia, is handled by the State Electricity Company (PLN) as the largest electricity supply company in Indonesia. PT. PLN (Persero) Pekanbaru ULP Panam branch as one of SOEs that aims to provide services in the field of electricity to the community (Public Utility). Organizational structure that is a primary and absolute requirement for increasing employment, responsibility and achievement of established goals. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze PT.PLN services in handling customer complaints and identify and analyze the inhibitory factors of PT.PLN services in handling customer complaints. This study used Zeithaml's theory of five indicators: Tangible, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance, Emphathy. The methods used in this study are qualitative research methods that are descriptive. With data collection techniques, observation interviews and documentation. The service provided by PLN ULP Panam is still insufficient because of the many customer complaints that resulted in the service process being hampered. The service provided by the officers is not sufficient in responding to customer complaints and the SOP or Service Standards for officers in handling customer complaints do not exist. PLN ULP Panam must take this problem seriously because if there is no SOP or Service Standard, it is detrimental to the service process provided to customers.

Abstract

The existence of the Peat Arboretum is very important for environmental preservation, especially in areas that have extensive peatlands. It's just that its existence is less of a concern to the parties concerned. The manager has experienced a lack of income due to the absence of adequate management activities. The purpose of this community service activity is to improve the managerial competency of managing the Post-Covid 19 Pandemic Peat Arboretum in Bengkalis Regency. The implementation method used is a participatory approach and counseling and active assistance aimed at the management of the Peat Arboretum in Bukit Batu District, Bengkalis Regency. The results of the dedication show that the management of the Peat Arboretum as eco-tourism requires support from various parties. It is not enough just to rely on corporate CSR or government projects. Especially since the Covid 19 pandemic practically the activity of visiting tourists to locations has been greatly reduced. Managerial competence is felt to be important to the attention of all stakeholders in the management of the Peat Arboretum, because all team members can experience an increase in their leadership competence. Managerial competence makes coordination and communication easier, members are more open, and members feel valued and there is member attachment to the team

Abstract

Kabupaten Siak merupakan salah satu kabupaten di Provinsi Riau yang memiliki banyak perusahaan industri. Banyaknya perusahaan industri, membuat kabupaten siak terancam akan berbagai pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan hidup. Salah satu pencemaran yang sering terjadi yaitu pencemaran udara yang diakibatkan oleh asap atau limbah dari hasil kegiatan industri. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh permasalahan terkait pencemaran akibat kegiatan industri yaitu pencemaran udara. Pencemaran udara akibat aktivitas industri di Kabupaten Siak merupakan masalah yang dirasakan oleh masyarakat setiap harinya, sehingga banyak keluhan dari masyarakat kepada pemerintah setempat terkait pencemaran udara yang terjadi. Instansi pemerintah daerah yang bertanggung jawab dalam pengendalian pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan di Kabupaten Siak yaitu Dinas Lingkungan Hidup. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Kinerja Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dalam Pengendalian Pencemaran Udara Akibat Aktivitas Industri di Kabupaten Siak serta faktor penghambat kinerja Dinas Lingkungan Hidup dalam pengendalian pencemaran udara akibat aktivitas industri di Kabupaten Siak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi yang bersifat deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah Kinerja Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Siak dalam pengendalian pencemaran udara akibat aktivitas industri sudah cukup baik namun belum optimal dikarenakan masih ada faktor yang menghambat kinerja Dinas Lingkungan Hidup. Faktor-faktor yang menjadi penghambat kinerja dinas lingkungan hidup dalam pengendalian pencemaran udara akibat aktivitas industri di kabupaten siak adalah sumber daya manusia dan sarana prasarana.

Abstract

The government as a public service provider is needed by the community, which must be responsible and continue to strive to provide the best service in order to improve public services. Law Number 25 of 2009 concerning Public Services is a reference for all public service agencies in providing quality services. Quality public services provided by the government to the community have a very important role in determining the success and sustainable satisfaction of the community. Community satisfaction is a measure of the success of public services provided by public service providers. The purpose of this study is to describe the implementation of the Electronic Identity Card (e-KTP) service by the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Indragiri Hulu Regency and to analyze or identify the inhibiting factors in the implementation of the Electronic Identity Card (e-KTP) service by the Department of Population and Civil Registration Indragiri Hulu Regency. This study uses the Pasuraman theory (Makmur & Thoha, 2017) which consists of: Tangible (direct evidence), Reliability (reliability), Responsiveness (responsiveness), Assurance (guarantee), and Empathy (attention). The research method used is qualitative with a phenomenological approach, and the data sources used are primary data and secondary data, with data collection techniques namely observation, interviews, literature review, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the service of Electronic Identity Cards (e-KTP) by the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Indragiri Hulu Regency from the aspects of tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy has not been implemented properly. In addition, employees who work at the Department of Population and Civil Registration of Indragiri Hulu Regency have not been able to provide services in accordance with the expectations and desires of the community.
