Abstract

Diabetics tend to get hypertension. Blood pressure of diabetics needs to be controlled to avoid complications. DM management grouped into five pillars, namely food planning, physical exercise, education, pharmacological interventions, and independent blood sugar monitoring. One of the food plans is consume fruits and vegetables. Physical exercise for people with DM is DM gymnastics. It is important to keep blood pressure normal. The purpose of research is to find out the the correlation of fruit, vegetable consumption and DM gymnastics with blood pressure in the association of DM Puskesmas II Denpasar Barat. The type of research is observational with cross sectional design and using total sampling technic which totaling 35 samples. Data was collected by interview method and blood pressure measurement. The data is presented with frequency and cross tables then analyzed using the Spearman test. Based on the results, there is a significant correlation between fruit consumption with blood pressure of people with DM (p = 0,035, r = -0,358). There is a significant correlation between vegetable consumption with blood pressure of people with DM (p = 0,021, r = -0,388). There is a significant correlation between frequency of DM gymnastics with blood pressure of people with DM (p = 0,000, r = -0,578). There is a significant correlation between duration of DM gymnastics with blood pressure of people with DM (p = 0,012, r = -0,418).

Abstract

ABSTRACT Geriatric patients are elderly patients with multi-diseases who are prone to malnutrition. One of the efforts to improve macronutrient intake and the length of stay for geriatric patients who are hospitalized in a hospital is the standardized nutrition care process (NCP). Objective: To determine differences in macronutrient intake and length of stay between geriatric patients with standardized NCP and geriatric patients without standardized NCP in the hospital. Method: The type of research that has been done is a quasi-experimental with post test only control group design. The subjects who had fulfilled the inclusion criteria were 36 people then divide into 2 groups, namely the standardized NCP group at RSUD Klungkung and non-standardized NCP group at RSUD Bangli. Data collection on macronutrient intake was carried out by the food weighing method, and data on length of stay was collected by medical record observation. Hypothesis testing is done by unpaired t-test and Mann-Whitney. Results: The average age of the study subjects was 70,08 years and most were in 61-69 years. Assessment of nutritional status based on MNA was obtained at 44,4% of the subjects were malnourished. The results of the unpaired t-test produced a p-value of 0,001 (p0,05) which showed that the average macronutrient intake in the standardized NCP group was significantly higher than the non-standardized NCP group. The average length of stay in the standardized NCP group (7,33 days) was shorter when compared to the non-standardized NCP (10 days). Mann-Whitney’s test produced a p-value of 0,023 (p0,05) showed that there were significant differences in the average length of stay of the two groups. Conclusions and Suggestions. The application of standardized NCP has an effect on improving macronutrient intake and length of stay in geriatric patients, so nutritionists are advised to apply the standardized NCP to geriatric patients to improve their nutritional status. Keyword: the standardized nutrition care process, macronutrient intake, length of stay

Abstract

Chronic kidney failure is a clinical condition characterized by progressive decline in kidney function. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the level of protein consumption and length of hemodialysis with the nutritional status. This type of observational research with cross sectional design. A sample of 34 people was determined by consecutive sampling. Data collected in the form of sample characteristics, level of protein consumption, length of hemodialysis, and nutritional status were obtained through interview, anamnesa and physical examination, as well as recording medical record data. Based on the criteria for the level of protein consumption the results obtained were 31 people (91.2%) who were not in accordance with their daily protein needs. Most of the samples undergoing hemodialysis were 3 years, as many as 15 people (44.1%). The most nutritional status of the sample is in the category of mild to moderate malnutrition with an indicator of nutritional status in the range of scores from 14-23 as many as 19 people (55.9%). Spearman Rank correlation test results found no relationship (p value = 0.70) between the level of protein consumption with the nutritional status, with (r value = -0.06) and no relationship (p value = 0.08) between length of hemodialysis with the nutritional status (r = 0.29). The conclusion of this study is that there is no relationship between the level of protein consumption and length of hemodialysis with the nutritional status of patients with chronic kidney failure at Wangaya Regional General Hospital Denpasar. Keywords: Chronic Kidney Failure, Level of Protein Consumption, Length of Hemodialysis, Nutritional Status

Abstract

Coronary heart disease is a cardiovascular disease which is a disease which is the main cause of death in developed and developing countries. Coronary heart disease occurs due to narrowing of the coronary arteries which causes obstruction of blood flow to the heart and is characterized by abnormal lipid profile levels. Some factors that cause abnormal lipid profile levels are high fat consumption besides high fat consumption will cause fat accumulation in the abdominal abnormality thus causing central obesity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between fat consumption patterns and central obesity status with lipid profiles in patients with coronary heart disease. This research is a qualitative study with a literature review research design. The subjects in this study were sufferers of coronary heart disease. Data on fat consumption patterns, central obesity status, and lpid profiles were obtained from a collection of articles with keywords: fat consumption patterns, central obesity, lipid profiles and coronary heart disease which were then tabulated and analyzed. Data were analyzed descriptively. The pattern of fat consumption in patients with coronary heart disease that is high fat consumption, with the level of consumption that is not good and frequent fat consumption that is 4-5 times a week, most patients with coronary heart disease experience central obesity, with some having LDL lipid profile levels high and low HDL. Based on the results of the analysis, it is known that there is no relationship between fat consumption patterns with lipid profiles and central obesity status with lipid profiles in patients with coronary heart disease.Keywords: fat consumption patterns, central obesity status, lipid profile, coronary heart disease.

Abstract

Hypertension is increase in systolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure of more than 90 mmHg. Hypertension results in complications such as stroke, heart weakness, coronary heart disease, kidney disorders and others. The triggers for hypertension are distinguished from being non-controlled such as family history, gender, and age. Factors that can be controlled such as obesity, lack of physical activity, smoking behavior, consumption patterns of foods containing sodium and saturated fat. The purpose of this study is to analyze the relationship between fiber intake and obesity status with blood pressure of hypertensive patients in Tabanan III Health Center. This type of research was observational with a cross-sectional research design. The sample in this study was 41 people. Data collection uses identity forms, 24-hour recall method, weight and height measurements, and blood pressure measurements. Data was processed by statistical analysis of Spearman Rank Correlation. The results showed that 36 samples (87.8%) did not consume fiber as recommended, 17 samples (41.5%) were classified as obesity grade 1 and 30 samples (73.2%) grade I hypertension. There was no correlation between fiber intake and blood pressure. p value = 0.49 (p 0.05). There is no correlation between obesity status and blood pressure, p = 0.51 (p 0.05). Keywords: blood pressure level, fiber intake, obesity status, and hypertension

Abstract

 The prevalence of hypertension has increased significantly in patients aged 60 years and over. The emergence of hypertension is related to lifestyle factors and diet. Efforts are made to reduce the risk of increasing blood pressure in the elderly, one of which is with family support and nutritional fulfillment. The family becomes a support system in the life of people with hypertension, so that the situation they experience does not get worse and avoid complications due to hypertension. The purpose of this study was to describe the relationship between family support in controlling hypertension with the fulfillment of nutrition and blood pressure in the elderly. This research is a literature review in May 2021 with qualitative research methods. The research data includes data on respondent characteristics (gender, age), family support, nutritional fulfillment for the elderly, and hypertension in the elderly, then the journals are tabulated and analyzed qualitatively. The results of the literature review of family support are mostly in the good category. Fulfillment of nutrition is included in the fulfilled category. Based on the literature review, it is known that most of the samples have hypertension in stage I and pre-hypertension. Based on the analysis, 10 journals stated that there was a significant relationship between family support in controlling hypertension and the fulfillment of nutrition and blood pressure in the elderly (p 0.05).Keyword : Family Support, Nutritional Fulfillment, Hypertensional Control, Elderly

Abstract

The problem of obesity in adolescents tends to increase as a cause of non-communicable diseases in adulthood. The study aimed to determine eating behavior, physical activity, and internet use in obese school adolescents in Bali. The study was conducted in Bali with obese adolescents (BMI>+1SD) in junior high schools. The sample size is 428 people, determined by Multistage Random Sampling. The data collected included identity data, eating behavior, physical activity, and use of the internet The results showed that as many as 258 people (60.3%) were male and 39.7percent female. A total of 75.5 percent of people were obese at level II and 24.5 percent were level 1 obesity. There are 34.2 percent with energy intake > the recommended adequacy (RDA). Adolescent eating behavior showed 53.6 percent had the habit of eating dinner, 49.5 percent often consumed savory snacks, 55.6 percent consumed sweet drinks, 59.1 percent consumed fast food >1 x/mg, 49.8 percent was unusual, breakfast, 61.1 percent use internet media >2 hours a day, 53.0 percent samples have low physical activity. The results of the bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between eating behavior, physical activity, and internet use with the obesity status of the sample. The results of the multivariate analysis showed energy intake, consumption of sweet snacks and drinks, exercise habits, and internet use were the main determinants of obesity in school adolescents. Conclusion: Adolescent eating behavior, internet media use, and exercise habits are related to obesity status in school children and adolescents in Bali Province.ABSTRAKPermasalahan obesitas pada remaja cenderung meningkat dan sebagai penyebab penyakit tidak menular (PTM) pada masa dewasa. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui perilaku makan, aktivitas fisik dan penggunaan internet pada remaja sekolah yang mengalami obesitas di Bali. Penelitian dilakukan di Bali dengan subyek remaja obesitas (IMT>+1SD) di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Besar sampel adalah 428 orang, ditentukan dengan Multistage Random Sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi data identitas, perilaku makan, aktivitas fisik dan penggunaan media internet Selanjutnya data diolah dan dianalisis secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 258 orang (60,3%) laki laki dan 39,7 persen perempuan. Sebanyak 75,5 persen orang mengalami obesitas tingkat II dan 24,5 persen mengalami obes tingkat 1. Terdapat 34,2 persen dengan asupan energi >kecukupan yang dianjurkan (AKG). Perilaku makan remaja menunjukkan 53,6 persen memiliki kebiasaan makan malam, 49,5 persen sering mengonsumsi makanan camilan gurih, 55,6 persen mengonsumsi minuman manis, 59,1 persen mengonsumsi fast food >1 x/mg, 49,8 persen tidak biasa sarapan pagi, 61,1 persen menggunakan media internet >2 jam sehari, 53,0 persen sampel memiliki aktivitas fisik rendah. Hasil analisis bivariat menunjukkan hubungan signifikan perilaku makan, aktivitas fisik, pemakaian internet dengan status obesitas. Hasil analisis multivariat menunjukkan asupan energi, konsumsi camilan dan minuman manis, kebiasaan olah raga dan penggunaan internet merupakan determinan utama obesitas pada remaja sekolah. Simpulan pada penelitian ini bahwa perilaku makan makan remaja, penggunaan media internet dan kebiasaan olah raga berhubungan dengan status obesitas pada anak dan remaja sekolah di Provinsi Bali. Abstract

Gagal  ginjal  kronik  (GGK)  merupakan  kegagalan  fungsi  ginjal  untuk mempertahankan  metabolisme  serta  keseimbangan  cairan  dan  elektrolit akibat destruktif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan gizi dan persepsi dukungan keluarga dengan asupan protein pasien gagal ginjal kronik di ruang hemodialisa RSD Mangusada. Variabel terikat (dependen) dalam penelitian ini adalah asupan protein dan variabel bebas (independent) dalam penelitian ini adalah pengetahuan gizi dan persepsi dukungan keluarga. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian observasional dengan rancangan cross sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 43 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel non probability sampling. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan berupa karakteristik sampel, asupan protein, data tingkat pengetahuan dan persepsi dukungan keluarga yang dilakukan dengan wawancara dan kuisioner. Berdasarkan kriteria asupan protein, sebagian besar asupan protein kurang dari kebutuhan, yaitu sebesar 67.4%. Pengetahuan gizi baik sebesar 62.8% dan persepsi dukungan keluarga sebagian besar baik, yaitu sebanyak 93%. Kesimpulan pada penelitian ini berdasarkan hasil uji korelasi Pearson yaitu  tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan gizi dengan asupan protein (p=0.152) serta tidak ada hubungan antara persepsi dukungan keluarga dengan asupan protein (p=3.87).Kata Kunci: Gagal ginjal kronik, hemodialisa, asupan protein, pengetahuan gizi, persepsi dukungan keluarga

Abstract

Diabetes melitus (DM) merupakan gangguan metabolik yang ditandai dengan tingginya kadar gula dalam darah (hiperglikemia) dengan gangguan metabolisme karbohidrat, lemak, dan protein yang disebabkan oleh kerusakan sekresi insulin. Kadar normal glukosa darah sewaktu adalah dibawah 200 mg/dl. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan aktivitas fisik dan kepatuhan diet dengan kadar glukosa darah pada pasien DM tipe 2 di Puskesmas Penebel I. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional dengan menggunakan desain cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Desember 2021 - Maret 2022. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 45 orang. Data aktivitas fisik dikumpulkan menggunakan formulir GPAQ (Global Physical Activity Questionnare), kepatuhan diet dikumpulkan menggunakan form Recall 2 x 24 jam, kadar glukosa darah dengan pengambilan darah menggunakan alat glukometer. Data diolah dengan analisis statistik korelasi Chi Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 48,9% memiliki aktivitas fisik kategori tinggi, 62,2% patuh melaksanakan diet, dan 64,4% memiliki kadar glukosa darah terkendali. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ada hubungan aktivitas fisik dengan kadar glukosa darah (p0,05) dan ada hubungan kepatuhan diet dengan kadar glukosa darah pada pasien DM tipe 2 (p0,05).Kata Kunci: Aktivitas fisik; kepatuhan diet; kadar glukosa darah.

Abstract

Efikasi diri adalah keyakinan individu terhadap kemampuannya untuk menghasilkan tindakan yang ingin dicapai. Efikasi diri yang rendah cenderung berpengaruh terhadap tidak patuhanya dalam melaksanakan diet rendah garam dan pengendalian tekanan darah yang tidak baik pada pasien Hipertensi. Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui hubungan Efikasi diri dengan kepatuhan diet rendah garam dan tekanan darah pada pasien hipertensi di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas Kuta Utara. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat observasi dengan desain “cross sectional”. Besar sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 42 orang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kuesioner General Self Efficacy Scale dan wawancara menggunakan formulir recall 2x24 jam. Data diolah dengan analisis statistik korelasi Rank Spearman. Dari 23 sampel yang patuh melaksanakan diet sebanyak 12 sampel (52,2%) memiliki efikasi diri tinggi dan dari 19 yang tidak patuh 13 sampel (68,4%) dengan tingkat efikasi diri rendah. Dari 18 sampel yang memiliki tekanan darah terkontrol sebanyak 10 sampel (55,5%) memiliki efikasi diri tinggi dan 24 sampel yang memiliki tekanana darah tidak terkontrol sebanyak 16 sampel (45,2%) dengan tingkat efikasi diri rendah. tariff segnifikan p = 0.05 diperoleh hasil p = 0,004, dan p = 0.05 diperoleh hasil p = 0,002. Disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan Efkasi Diri dengan Kepatuhan Diet Rendah Garam dan Tekanan Darah pada pasien hipertensi di wilayah kerja UPT Puskesmas Kuta Utara.
