Abstract

Organizational climate plays a crucial role in shaping employee work engagement, particularly in non-profit institutions, such as universities, where limited resources necessitate strategic human resource management. This study investigated how various dimensions of organizational climate, such as leadership, employee relations, organizational commitment, job satisfaction, and employee motivation, affected work engagement among 272 employees at a university in Bandung, Indonesia. Using simple and multiple regression analyses, the results show that, while all five dimensions significantly influence work engagement when tested individually, only organizational commitment and employee motivation remain strong predictors when examined together. These findings indicate that internal factors, such as employees’ emotional attachment to their organization and intrinsic motivation, play a more decisive role in fostering engagement than structural or relational factors. The results also extend the Social Exchange Theory by highlighting that reciprocal relationships between organizational support and employee dedication are primarily strengthened through mechanisms of commitment and motivation. From a practical perspective, this study highlights the importance of human resource strategies that foster internal motivation and enhance organizational commitment. These include implementing transparent reward systems, providing career development opportunities, and recognizing employee contributions. Such initiatives can help universities create a more supportive and engaging work environment, despite resource limitations. Overall, this study adds to the literature on organizational climate by identifying the most influential factors for building and sustaining work engagement within education institutions, offering both theoretical insights and actionable implications for HR practitioners.

Abstract

Purpose: This community service initiative aims to support educational institutions in fostering the social and emotional development of adolescents by promoting awareness of saving, enhancing understanding of personal finance concepts, and equipping adolescents with essential financial skills to navigate future financial challenges. Methodology: The methodology employed in this initiative involved simulations and role-playing activities structured as a training program. The training focuses on the "Gerakan SMART" (Simpan, Mengurutkan kebutuhan, Atur pengeluaran, Realisasikan, dan Tercatat), a framework designed to assist individuals in creating, managing, and effectively utilizing personal finances. Results: A total of 97 junior high school students participated in this study. Evaluation based on three key indicators revealed that the community service activity was successful in achieving its objectives. The "Gerakan SMART" game improved the participants’ knowledge of financial management. Conclusion: Financial management is a crucial skill for adolescents, preparing them to face future financial challenges and ensuring their well-being. Training programs focused on financial management for young people are expected to cultivate future leaders equipped to thrive in competitive workplace environments that demand these skills, thereby contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Limitations: Owing to time and resource limitations, the program had difficulty ensuring that participants fully understood the material and assessing the training’s long-term effects. Contribution: By promoting the "Gerakan SMART" framework, the program equips young generations with the tools to navigate future financial challenges and prepares them to be leaders in the future.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the health sector places the Hospital Management Information System as a strategic element in improving operational efficiency and service quality. However, the success of SIMRS implementation is not only determined by technical aspects, but also by the digital readiness of users. This research aims to analyze the determinants of the success of SIMRS implementation by integrating the Delone and McLean Information Systems success models and digital readiness variables as moderation. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 118 SIMRS users in several hospitals in the city of Bandung. Data were collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results of the study show that the quality of the system affects the net benefit through the end user of SIMRS, but not through user satisfaction. Meanwhile, information quality has the most consistent influence on net benefits both through SIMRS end-users and user satisfaction. The quality of service only affects the net benefit through user satisfaction, but not through the end user of SIMRS. In addition, digital readiness has been shown to strengthen the influence of system quality and information quality on the use of SIMRS, but does not moderate user satisfaction. These findings confirm that digital readiness strengthens technical system utilization, while user satisfaction is primarily driven by information quality and overall user experience. The study implies that hospital management should prioritize enhancing information quality, system reliability, and digital readiness of human resources to optimize SIMRS benefits
