Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of GCG (Good Corporate Governance) on Firm Value, considering the role of Financial Performance as mediation. GCG is measured through the indicators of Managerial Ownership (MO) and Institutional Ownership (IO), while Firm Value is measured using Tobin’s Q, and Financial Performance is represented by Return on Equity (ROE). This study employs a quantitative approach, with sampling conducted using the Purposive Sampling technique. The research utilizes secondary data obtained from Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and related company websites for the 2020–2024 period. Data analysis includes descriptive statistical tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, and path analysis using SPSS 25 software and the Sobel test calculator. The results indicate that GCG, proxied by Managerial Ownership and Institutional Ownership, does not have a significant effect on Firm Value and Financial Performance, as evidenced by the t-statistic values: Managerial Ownership (t-stat = 0.226 < t-table = 1.676) with a significance value of 0.791 > 0.05, and Institutional Ownership (t-stat = -0.999 < t-table = 1.676) with a significance value of 0.323 > 0.05. However, Financial Performance has a significant effect on Firm Value, as shown by the t-statistic (t-stat = -4.793 < t-table = 1.676) with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. Nevertheless, Financial Performance does not mediate the relationship between GCG and Firm Value.

Abstract

This research enriches the rare discussion of adaptation especially related to representation of local culture in cross-border film adaptations. While many studies focus on narrative and thematic changes, in-depth analysis of how local culture, such as social values, traditions, and Indonesian identity are adapted in the story is still minimal. This research explores how Korean cultural elements in the film Miracle in Cell No. 7 are adapted into Indonesian culture and are adjusted to Indonesian values in the adaptation version. Using the theory of transstylization by Genette (1997) and the theory of seven cultural elements by Koentjaraningrat (1986), it was found that five cultural elements underwent changes, namely language, religion, knowledge system, living equipment, and livelihood system. This is not only because Korea and Indonesia basically have different culture but also influenced by the different religious landscape. This research contributes to the understanding of how Indonesian local culture is integrated in movie adaptations without changing the core of the original story.

Abstract

This implementation emphasizes using Proxmox as the primary virtualization platform combined with the Zero Trust security concept, where each access request is rigorously assessed before being permitted. Integration with Cloudflare provides an additional layer of security through features such as web application firewall (WAF), DDoS protection, and strict access control. By adopting the Zero Trust model and leveraging Cloudflare services, the server infrastructure becomes more resilient against current cyber threats. The meticulous integration between Proxmox and Cloudflare offers a high level of security at every server access point, creating a reliable and safeguarded environment for IT services.

Abstract

Separate Creditors as Holders of Security Rights possess a preferential claim over the secured collateral. However, under bankruptcy law, their rights to execute and auction the collateral are subject to statutory limitations. In practice, Supreme Court Decision No. 521 K/Pdt.Sus-Pailit/2021 and Supreme Court Decision No. 527 K/Pdt.Sus-Pailit/2020 have provided divergent interpretations regarding the execution rights of Separate Creditors over their collateral once the debtor has been declared bankrupt. The core issues examined in this research are: (1) How legal certainty is afforded to the execution rights of Separate Creditors pursuant to Supreme Court Decisions No. 521 K/Pdt.Sus-Pailit/2021 and No. 527 K/Pdt.Sus-Pailit/2020; and (2) What legal consequences arise for Separate Creditors who fail to execute their collateral under Law No. 37 of 2004 concerning Bankruptcy and Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations (PKPU). This study employs normative legal research using a statutory approach and case-based analysis, focusing on judicial interpretations of bankruptcy decisions affecting the execution rights of Separate Creditors. The research relies on secondary data obtained through literature review and applies qualitative analytical methods. Separate Creditors are granted a two-month period following insolvency to initiate execution proceedings by filing a public auction request with the KPKNL, which is calculated from the commencement of the execution process not from the completion of the auction. Furthermore, the rights of Separate Creditors are not absolute, as they are constrained by a statutory stay period of 90 (ninety) days from the date the debtor is declared bankrupt. During this stay period, the Curator is entitled to demand that the collateral held by Separate Creditors be transferred to the Curator for sale either through public auction or private sale, under the supervision of the Supervisory Judge. It is therefore necessary to revise Law No. 37 of 2004 to clarify the scope of authority held by Separate Creditors in executing collateral, and to establish a digital oversight mechanism for curatorial functions to ensure transparency and accountability when collateral is handed over to the Curator for auction.

Abstract

The objective of this journal study is to examine and analyze the safeguards for Secured Creditors regarding the enforcement of property guarantees following a bankruptcy ruling against the debtor. This research employs a normative legal approach, utilizing legislation, a conceptual perspective, and case studies. The findings indicate that the position of Secured Creditors in case number 527 K/Pdt. Sus-Pailit/2020 emphasizes that the right to execute on property guarantees remains intact, even with a 90-day suspension period post-bankruptcy decision. This suspension does not eliminate the preferential status concerning debt repayment. During this time, the curator is prohibited from selling or taking control of the collateral without the Secured Creditor's consent. Specific regulations are needed to protect Secured Creditors, ensuring that the execution of their property guarantees under suspension remains under their oversight, to promote fairness, legal certainty, and proportional protection of their rights during the bankruptcy process.

Abstract

The low academic achievement of students in science subjects at SMP Negeri 10 Padang is attributed to limited conceptual understanding, low enthusiasm for the material, a lack of relevance between lessons and daily life, and the predominance of one-way teacher communication. This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the implementation of the discovery learning model among Class VII.3 students, consisting of 32 participants. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) design conducted over two cycles. Data were collected through multiple-choice tests and analyzed quantitatively to assess improvements in learning outcomes. The results showed that the average pre-cycle score was 69.56 with a mastery level of 53.13%. In the first cycle, the average increased to 77.59 with 68.75% mastery, and in the second cycle, it further improved to 86.25 with 84.38% mastery. These findings demonstrate that the application of discovery learning is effective in enhancing science learning outcomes. Learning activities that emphasize student exploration strengthen conceptual understanding, enhance memory retention, and promote critical thinking skills. Therefore, discovery learning is a relevant student-centered approach for improving the quality of science learning outcomes at the junior high school level.
