Abstract

Being a good lecturer is awareness, but being a responsible lecturer is a demand. In this section, it will be found that many lecturers are not correct in some of their obligations, and this causes the institution's performance to be drop. In this research, it will be stated how the actual lecturer performance, what is the meaning and impact, and what to do next. Qualitative methods are used to see the reality of a phenomenon, and the data becomes authentic evidence, so that it can be suggested implications. The results showed that the lecturers' performance was low, both in education, research, and community service. This emphasizes how lecturers are ignorant of their obligations, how institutional leaders do not care about the situation, and this is normal if the institution's achievement is low

Abstract

As a company engaged in the food sector, providing satisfaction to customers is an obligation, and one of them is through improving employee performance. That is, the company encourages all employees to work professionally and with integrity, in this case, be able to serve food with good taste, provide friendly, responsive, and fast service. This study aims, to reveal the factors that significantly affect the performance of Holland Bakery employees in Depok City. Furthermore, to prove these objectives, a scientific approach was carried out, namely using quantitative methods and regression analysis. In the operationalization of the research, data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to 84 respondents, using a simple random technique. Based on regression analysis, it is known that the work pattern at Holland Bakery is more influenced by the work environment. This means that the work environment has a dominant role in productivity and morale. This suggests the importance of building harmonious interaction and communication between employees, so that a solid work team is built. However, companies need to take into account the workload aspect. As the results of statistical analysis, workload shows a role that allows employee performance to decline.

Abstract

Although feelings of pleasure are not defined as the main instrument in achieving performance, emotional involvement in work cannot be ignored. Invisibly, feelings dominate work attitudes and behavior, so that performance can be achieved. So paying attention to the factors of happiness and comfort at work must be considered by organizational management. This study aims to analyze the role of job satisfaction on improving performance by paying attention to the variables of communication, self-esteem, and self-efficacy. The research method uses causal associative with regression analysis techniques. In collecting data, a purposive sampling technique was used with a questionnaire as a research instrument. The results of the study indicate that satisfaction is a factor that is considered important by every employee. The reason is, work is not only a matter of making money, but as a place to interact between one person and another within the scope of business activities, then building good communication is a necessity, then having self-confidence is a capital in meeting the interests of the organization and the work environment. Statistically, the value of the contribution of the variables of communication, self-esteem, and self-efficacy is 0.162. This means that job satisfaction will increase with an estimated value of 16.2% if work communication is well developed and self-confidence is high.

Abstract

Performance is inseparable from the mental condition of employees. Whether we realize it or not, work requires feelings of pleasure, self-confidence, feelings of enthusiasm and enthusiasm. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the factors that influence it, one of which is the role of leadership. The leader is the embodiment of the organization, so its existence has a significant effect on the effectiveness and efficiency of organizational activities. This study explicitly aims to express the opinions of the lecturers on their dissatisfaction with the leadership capacity of the head of the study program in carrying out organizational management functions. The proof of the research phenomenon uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The research correspondents are private university lecturers who have the status of institutional developers and have worked for more than 7 years. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews and discussion groups. The results showed that the greatest dissatisfaction of lecturers was the attitude of the leader's injustice in the distribution of teaching hours, guidance and hearings. There is an imbalance between a group of lecturers and other lecturers, so the issue of the practice of nepotism develops, where the leadership sided only with those closest to him. Next, the lecturer is dissatisfied with the leadership style of responding to a problem, the head of the study program tends to side with the interests of the institution, without considering the interests of the lecturer.

Abstract

Teaching, researching, community service, and other activities are routines carried out involving many parties, both leaders and colleagues, in the implementation of which they directly affect the feelings or psychology of a lecturer. The better the response of the parties involved, it is possible to increase the performance among the lecturers who work together. This study aims to analyze the opinion of Pamulang university lecturers about the work environment that is considered to have an effect on improving lecturer performance. Given the nature of this research is descriptive, the research method uses qualitative. The object of this research is the management study program at Pamulang University, with a lecturer analysis unit. The basis for determining correspondence is purposive, with the fulfillment of a number of criteria. The results showed that the work environment in the Unpam undergraduate management study program was quite good, especially in research performance. That is, the existing work environment has a spirit of enthusiasm for achieving performance.

Abstract

Lecturers are professions in higher education that have complex performance criteria. The demand is not only smart, but also creative, so that it can produce quality graduates and encourage changes in people's lives for the better. However, the quality of the lecturer's performance is strongly influenced by the motivating factors. Therefore, this study was conducted to describe what factors motivate lecturers to fulfill their performance. This research was conducted on 433 lecturers of the Management Study Program at Pamulang University. However, not all lecturers were used as respondents, based on the calculation of the Slovin formula, only 81 lecturers were used as research samples. Data was collected by distributing questionnaires. This research is included in the descriptive quantitative category, where respondents' answers were analyzed descriptively based on the category of questions/statements. The results of the study explain that motivation is very important in carrying out tasks and fulfilling performance. The most dominant self-motivation is personality, while the most dominant external motivation is compensation.

Abstract

It is not easy to get the best results consistently, because employee performance has limits. However, the company can maintain it, by presenting good leaders, encouraging the strengthening of a humanist work culture, and providing appropriate compensation, as a reward for the performance given. In fact, this research was conducted to see the causal relationship mathematically, so that the possible value of improving performance is known. The research method uses a survey with a questionnaire as a research instrument. The number of samples as many as 160 respondents, and the technique of taking it using a simple random sample. The results of the study confirm that employee performance is very sensitive to increasing the role of leadership, culture, and compensation. In the partial analysis, it is proven that the compensation factor is more dominant in influencing performance. This implies that maintaining performance requires many factors, especially compensation variables. The reason is that compensation is an instrument that has a major impact on the lives of employees, so the size of the change in compensation is closely related to the increase or decrease in performance.

Abstract

Since the Covid-19 outbreak in May 2020 there has been a shift in work patterns and systems in various agencies and companies, including the government. This is done as a form of adaptation to the situation, especially in preventing the spread of the Covid-19 virus. But on the other hand the organization must continue to run, therefore there is a work from home work model. This concept exists because of circumstances, so that various shortcomings arise, one of which is work activities do not run effectively and have an impact on decreasing employee performance. In fact, this research was conducted to find out this phenomenon, and what factors have linearity on employee performance. The research method used in answering the research hypothesis is quantitative with statistical regression (forecasting). The research sample was BPPT employees totaling 80 people, with a simple random sampling technique. The results of the study recommend that the model that best improves performance during the pandemic is the simultaneous model. This means that factors directly related to employee performance have a major impact on improving performance, including high morale, proportional workload, and career openness. In other words, institutions must be sensitive to the determinants of performance, both under normal circumstances or in a pandemic.

Abstract

Achieving good work results requires hard efforts and support from many parties, especially in the field of lecturer performance. The reason is that in achieving educational performance (earning a doctorate), it takes financial adequacy, time, and good intellectual intelligence. Even in achieving research and service performance, it is not enough just to be able, but it is necessary to have a spirit of service in order to encourage change and prosperity for the surrounding community. Therefore, this research seeks to describe what things enable performance to be achieved in lecturers. The research method uses quantitative, where research data is obtained through questionnaires and interviews. While the data analysis used regression with descriptive narrative technique. The object of research is Pamulang University lecturer with the criteria of doctoral education and having a minimum functional position of Lector. The results of the research obtained information, that the greatest enthusiasm of lecturers in achieving performance is actualization. This is confirmed in the results of interviews, that the attachment of a lecturer's title fosters a spirit of wanting to show knowledge and capacity as a university teaching staff. Thus, various things are done, and no matter how big the sacrifices are made.

Abstract

Being a businessman is not easy, and does not happen by itself, it takes study and practice hard. In fact, it takes an environment and a mentor. Seeing this situation, as a lecturer is obliged to convey knowledge and foster the surrounding community, in order to improve intelligence and standard of living, one of which is through the implementation of entrepreneurship training. Explicitly, this activity aims to increase public knowledge and enthusiasm for business interests, so that life problems can be overcome. The scientific effort made is using a qualitative approach. Namely providing business training through methods of sharing knowledge, sharing business experiences, and business practices. Participants are the community in the Reni Jaya Rt. 009/014 Pondok Benda Pamulang. Descriptively, the results of the activity showed that the participants were enthusiastic about learning entrepreneurship. In addition, sharing business experiences can spark participants' enthusiasm for a business.
