Abstract

The phenomenon of the use of Indonesian language in the tourism industry is very appealing for consideration. This is due to the use of Indonesian in the tourism industry in terms of Indonesian planning process has not been running optimally. This is evidenced that the use of a foreign language is more dominant than the Indonesian language. Thus, the aim of this study is to analyze and describe the use of Indonesian in the tourism industry in terms of language planning process. This research is descriptive qualitative and using primary data obtained directly from the data source in the industry that is the use of Indonesian in tourism industry in Nusa Dua, Kuta and Sanur. Data were collected by using observation method assisted with note taking technique. Furthermore, the data were analyzed with descriptive qualitative inductive paradigm; that is the paradigm from specific or particular to general one. The results are presented by using formal and informal methods. As the foundation of this research Sociolinguistics Applied Theory is used with the basic concepts of the language planning process. Based on the results obtained, the use of Indonesian in the tourism industry in terms of Indonesian planning process has not been running optimally. This is proven with the still dominant use of a foreign language than Indonesian in the tourism industry. Based on the language planning process, the stages that have not run well are those of implementation and assessment or evaluation.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan: bidangbidang bahasa Bali pada Lembar Basa Bali “Bali Orti” Harian Bali Post yang mengalami interferensi bahasa Indonesia dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhinya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif-kualitatif dengan data primer yang didapat langsung dari sumber data yang terbit pada bulan Januari s.d. Maret 2014. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode simak yang dibantu dengan teknik catat. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif berdasarkan paradigma induktif, yaitu paradigma dari khusus ke umum. Hasil penelitian disajikan dengan metode formal dan informal. Penelitian ini berpijak pada Teori Sosiolinguistik dengan konsep dasar interferensi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan interferensi bahasa Indonesia ke dalam pemakaian bahasa Bali pada Lembar Basa Bali “Bali Orti” Harian Bali Post pada tataran morfologi dan sintaksis. Pada Tataran Morfologi ditemukan interferensi berupa kata dasar dan kata jadian (kata berimbuhan, kata ulang, dan kata majemuk), sedangkan pada tataran Sintaksis ditemukan interferensi dalam bentuk frase dengan pola Diterangkan-Menerangkan (D-M). Ada beberapa faktor yang memengaruhi terjadinya interferensi bahasa Indonesia dalam pemakaian bahasa Bali pada Lembar Basa Bali “Bali Orti” Harian Bali Post, yaitu: hubungan antara bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Bali serta perkembangan zaman.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the use of standard Indonesian vocabulary in the lecturers’scientific writings of Politeknik Negeri Bali especially in Jurnal Bisnis dan Kewirausahaan and Bhakti Persada Jurnal Aplikasi Ipteks. The data in this descriptive qualitative study was collected by using an observational method which was assisted by the technique of note-taking. The data were analyzed by using descriptive qualitative analysis method, which describe the data completely and systematically to get a comprehensive conclusion. Furthermore, the results of the study are presented using formal and informal methods. The use of vocabulary that was found includes non-standard words, uncommon words, inefficient words, and inaccurate words. Nonstandard words are basic and derived words; uncommon words are foreign words; inefficient words include inefficient forms, the use of words that have redundant meaning and function; and inaccurate words caused by usage: improper in the sentence and between sentence connecting words, improper idiomatic phrases, and inappropriate similar words.

Abstract

Penggunaan bahasa Indonesia di media sosial WhatsApp menarik dikaji secara linguistik, khususnya Sosiolinguistik Terapan. Seperti, pilihan kata, proses pembentukan kata-katanya, pola penyingkatan kata, campur kode dan penyebabnya, serta wujud bentuk linguistik. Dalam tulisan ini kajian dibatasi pada wujud bentuk linguistiknya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan wujud bentuk linguistik yang ditemukan dalam penggunaan bahasa Indonesia di media sosial WhatsApp. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif kualitatif dan menggunakan data primer yang langsung didapatkan dari sumber data yaitu penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dalam media sosial WhatsApp. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode simak yang dibantu dengan teknik dasar sadap dan teknik catat sebagai teknik lanjutan. Selanjutnya, data dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan dasar paradigma metodologis induktif. Artinya, suatu paradigma yang bertolak dari sesuatu yang khusus ke sesuatu yang umum. Hasil penelitian disajikan dengan metode formal dan informal. Wujud bentuk linguistik yang ditemukan dalam penggunaan bahasa Indonesia di media sosial WhatsApp adalah berupa: kata, frasa, dan kalimat. Wujud kata berupa kata dasar dan kata berimbuhan; wujud frasa berupa frasa endosentrik dan eksosentrik; dan wujud kalimat berupa kalimat tunggal dan kalimat majemuk. Frasa endosentrik meliputi frasa endosentrik atributif dan frasa endosentrik koordinatif, sedangkan kalimat majemuk yang ditemukan berupa kalimat majemuk setara dan bertingkat.

Abstract

Purpose: This research is to analyze the application of digital marketing to support sustainable tourism in each tourist village in Bangli Regency, Bali, Indonesia. Research methods: The data collection method used in this study is a phenomenological approach. From the phenomena that happens, the researchers understood it more deeply by looking for concepts and theoretical foundations that are relevant. Findings: The digital marketing model can make it easier for tourists to find tourist villages in Bangli Regency. It is also hoped that the negative impact on the natural environment caused by conventional promotional media can be reduced. Implication: The outcome of this research is a digital marketing model that supports sustainable tourism in each tourist village in Bangli Regency from an environmental, economic, and socio-cultural perspectives.

Abstract

Indonesian Language for foreign speaker (BIPA) students are very interested in cultural values, the provision of cultural values ​​is very important for BIPA students to enrich their language skills. Even cultural errors can be more serious than language errors. Trihita Karana is a philosophical value of living in harmony with God, nature, and fellow human beings. To teach BIPA students, it is necessary to have a genuine learning method so that BIPA students can absorb the culture significantly. The twenty BIPA learners in the State Polytechnic of Bali were conducted in this research. Questionnaire and observation methods were used in data collection. The data obtained were then analysed using a qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of BIPA students' responses to several methods being tested, it can be concluded that 96.7% of respondents argued that the Trihita Karana cultural learning method was very feasible to support the BIPA learning process. There were several methods appreciated by BIPA students, including guessing pictures, running while dictation, observing, video documentation, immersion, and debate. Among these methods, the immersion method was the most favoured by BIPA students because they directly experienced it in daily life.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze customer satisfaction on the service of the front office department staff at Tanadewa Resort & Spa and to describe the indicators that need to be improved and maintained by the front office department staff at Tanadewa Resort & Spa. The sample used in this study were tourists who stayed at Tanadewa Resort & Spa in March - July 2021. The sampling technique used was incidental random sampling with a total sample of 50 respondents. Data were collected by questionnaires distributed to respondents, then the data obtained were processed using SPSS version 26. The analytical techniques used were servqual analysis and Importance Performance Analysis. Servqual is used to analyze the level of tourist satisfaction with services obtained which can be seen from the gap results, while Importance Performance Analysis is used to group service quality indicators into a Cartesian diagram to describe indicators that need to be improved and maintained. The results of this study indicate that customer satisfaction with the service of the front office department staff at Tanadewa Resort & Spa is still not good, because of the 15 service quality indicators there are 9 indicators with negative gap values ​​and 6 indicators having positive gap values. And there are 4 indicators whose performance must be improved and 5 indicators whose performance must be maintained by the front office department staff at Tanadewa Resort & Spa in order to increase customer satisfaction.

Abstract

In the lens of technology used in classroom instruction, the 360-video virtual reality begins to use in the education field. This study aimed to identify the Indonesian language students in the higher education level perceptions of the use of SVVR (Spherical Virtual-based Video Reality) which was operated through the smartphone. The performance expectancy (PE) and effort expectancy (EE) in the UTAUT theory was employed to assess the data. There were 131 sophomores who learn the Indonesian language in the tourism department in the State Polytechnic of Bali involved to provide specific arguments through the questionnaire. The result of the study explained that learners in the Polytechnic education system were keen to engage SVVR (Spherical Virtual-Video Based Reality) during the teaching and learning process. Additionally, this learning medium elevated students’ urge significantly in learning the Indonesian language. Subsequently, the SVVR will be a promising tool employed by the lecturer who teaches the learners in the applied education system. These learning materials ought to be explored and developed more systematically by lecturers in underpinning students’ demand for knowledge and materials understanding in vocational education.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of implementation of Balinese cultural value named Tri Hita Karana in increasing room occupancy at Hilton Bali Resort located in Nusa Dua, Bali. Data collection technique used were by questionnaire, interview, and document study and data analysis method were mixed (quantitative and qualitative) methods, with a concurrent mixed method strategy, especially the concurrent triangulation. The results of this study indicate that Tri Hita Karana in this hotel has a 16.6% effect on increasing room occupancy. It means Tri Hita Karana has a positive and significant effect on increasing the room occupancy.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to apply green practice in the Food & Beverage Department to increase guest satis-faction and determine the most influencing variable in the department to increase guest satisfaction at the hotel. Research methods: This research data collection method was carried out by observation, interviews, ques-tionnaires, and a literature study. The sampling technique in this study used Accidental Sampling with a total sample of 55 respondents and 3 informants. Collecting data using an online questionnaire distributed to re-spondents using a google form link. The results of the data from the questionnaire were processed by con-ducting validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple correlation tests, multiple linear re-gression tests, coefficients of determination, t-tests, and F-tests with SPSS 25 software for windows. The data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative analysis to determine the application of green practice in the Food & Beverage Department to increase guest satisfaction and quantitative analysis with a multiple linear regression test. It is used to determine the most influential variables in the Food & Beverage Department to increase guest satisfaction. Findings: The results show that the application of green practices has been carried out optimally in the Food & Beverage Department such as not using plastic materials, using materials from local farmers, and separating organic and non-organic waste. Implication: The results of the multiple linear regression test show that the most influential variable is green food at 7.426 and the coefficient of determination analysis test shows that green food is 83.4% which has a very strong relationship.
