Abstract

ABSTRAK   Perekonomian di Kabupaten Karanganyar ditopang dua sektor utama yaitu industri pengolahan dan pertanian.Kondisi ini menjadi kekuatan untuk mengembangkan agroindustri diantaranya keripik ketela ungu mengingat Karanganyar merupakan penghasil ketela ungu.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi usaha dan merumuskan strategi pengembangan agroindustri keripik ketela ungu di Karanganyar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan analisis usaha dan analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa usaha agroindustri keripik ketela ungu menguntungkan. Strategi pengembangan agroindustri keripik ketela ungu meliputi: Membangun kemitraan yang kuat dengan supplier ketela ungu, Pengembangan basis wilayah sentra ketela ungu, Efisiensi produksi keripik ketela ungu, Adopsi teknologi produksi, Perluasan segmen pasar, Peningkatan akses permodalan bagi agroindustri keripik ketela ungu, Peningkatan mutu produk keripik ketela ungu dan Diversifikasi produk olahan ketela ungu. Kata kunci: keripik ketela ungu, analisis usaha, strategi pengembangan, karanganyar ABSTRACT Economic in Karanganyar regency was supported by two main sectors, they are processing industry and agriculture. This condition will be a force to developing agroindustry and the one is purple sweet potatoes chips, because Karanganyar is producer of purple sweet potatoes. This study aims to analyze  business potential and to formulate development strategy of purple sweet potatoes chips agroindustry. This research is descriptive analytical approach to business potential analysis and SWOT. The result showed that purple sweet potatoes chips agroindustry is profiting. Development strategy of purple sweet potatoes chips agroindustry as follow: Build strong partnership with purple sweet potatoes supplier, developing the region base of purple sweet potatoes, efficiency of purple sweet potatoes chips production, adoption of production technology, expansion of market segment, increase acces of capital for purple sweet potatoes chips agroindustry, Increasing the quality of purple sweet potatoes chips and diversification of processing product by using purple sweet potatoes. Abstract

Farmers Managed-Extension Activities (FMA) provides substantial benefits to the farming community empowerment, especially for the improvement of information services for farmers. Consider the benefits and objectives are achieved , then this great program requires rigorous evaluation and mentoring to monitor progress . Previous survey showed no understanding of the diversity of farmers’ level , the percentage decrease in the number of farmers who apply from 2010 (64.56 %) to the year 2011 (48.23 %), and parthnership between farmers and traders only 35.9 % (still small). On the other hand, there is saturation  analysis tools in studies on adoption. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the motivational factors of farmers against the FMA program. The method used in this research was models the Technology Acceptance Model using Structural Equation Models with analysis tools , namely PLS (Partial Least Square). The results showed (1) Perception of farmers to ease was not significantly related to the attitude of farmers towards FMA at a significance level of 0.43 (p value); (2) Perception of farmers on the benefits / uses significantly associated with attitudes of farmers towards FMA at the 0.01 level (p value), (3) ability to absorb farmers are not significantly related to the attitude of farmers towards FMA at a significance level of 0.48 (p value), (4) the diversity of the media associated significantly with the attitude of farmers towards FMA at the 0.01 signif- icance level (p value), (5) attitude significantly associated with implementing farmers ‘ intentions / FMA adoption at a significance level of 1.90539 E - 08 (p value), (6) intention farmers significantly associated with implementing farmers’ behavior/FMA adoption at a significance level of 3.14341 E - 08 (p value).Keywords : FMA, adoption, farmer,extension, empowerment

Abstract

Kopi memiliki nilai ekonomi yang tinggi sebagai penghasil devisa dan sumber pendapatan petani karena kopi merupakan salah satu komoditas unggulan di Indonesia. Kabupaten Temanggung salah satu penghasil kopi di Provinsi Jawa Tengah, terutama pada Kopi Robusta. Kopi Robusta Temanggung memiliki karakteristik dan mutu produk yang khas, unik dan tampil beda yang terindikasi karena faktor geografis. Hal ini dikarenakan adanya asosiasi petani yang tergabung pada Masyarakat Perlindungan Indikasi Geografis Kopi Robusta Temanggung (MPIG-KRT). MPIG-KRT berkomitmen dalam mengawal mutu kopi sesuai standar. Upaya ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan daya saing petani kopi di Kabupaten Temanggung dengan upaya didorong untuk menjalankan budidaya dan pengolahan pasca panen kopi berbasis Indikasi Geografis (IG) Kopi Robusta Temanggung (KRT). Guna menjaga mutu kopi, meningkatkan daya saing, dan memperkuat Brand Image Kopi Robusta Temanggung, maka dilakukan program pengabdian terutama bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan petani kopi agar dapat 1) menjalankan pengolahan pasca panen berbasis IG dengan introduksi mesin grading, 2) dapat menjalankan digital marketing dengan tujuan memperluas pangsa pasar sehingga mampu meningkatkan hasil penjualan dan keuntungan, dan 3) memiliki pengetahuan tentang merek dan label merek guna membangun brand Kopi Robusta Temanggung. Program pengabdian ini telah dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan pelatihan yang terdiri dari pelatihan pascapanen, pelatihan digital marketing, dan pelatihan edukasi merek dan desain label merek. Selain itu, dilakukan pula introduksi mesin grading setelah dilakukan pelatihan pascapanen. Kegiatan pengabdian ini telah berhasil dilakukan dilihat adanya introduksi Mesin Grading sehingga petani mitra dapat melakukan proses grading dengan cepat dan bisa menentukan mutu dari grade kopi 1, 2, dan 3. Petani mitra telah memahami pentingnya merek dan desain label yang dapat dilihat dari adanya kemasan produk kopi yang sudah memiliki merek, informasi produk, dan kemasan yang baik untuk menjaga mutu kopi. Petani mitra sudah mulai menggunakan WhatsApps bisnis, Instagram, dan Facebook untuk promosi. Petani mitra juga sudah bisa membuat promosi dengan menggunakan Canva, lalu membuat link pesan Auto Order.

Abstract

This study analysed the receipts, costs, and expenses received by red tilapia seed farmers, as well as the level of production risk, price risk and expenditure risk in KPI Mino Ngremboko. The basic method used in this research was a descriptive method. This research was conducted at KPI Mino Ngremboko. The selection of research locations was conducted purposively. The sampling method used was the census method. The analysis was carried out using the coefficient of variation method. Research results there were production risks, price risk, and risk of spending on red tilapia at KPI Mino Ngremboko. The sources of risk that arise were high fish seed mortality rates, increased feed prices, and limited land to increase production. Variation coefficient value (CV) of production risk, price risk, income risk were relatively low that showed the hatchery of red tilapia has a low risk. Meanwhile, the L value of price risk, production risk, and expenditure risk were positive results and the value was greater than BEP. The value shows that when the hatchery reaches the lowest point in production, price, and income, farmers still avoid losses.

Abstract

This research aims to determine internal and external factors, formulate strategies, and decide the priority of agribusiness MSME sustainability strategies in Sukoharjo Regency in the new normal era. This research uses basic descriptive and analytical methods. A total of 28 key informants were selected purposively. Data collection was completed through in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed using the IFE, EFE, IE, SWOT, and QSP matrices. The research results depict that the most essential strength is the support of experienced human resources with particular specialties and the most significant weakness is the limited business capital. Meanwhile, product diversification becomes the biggest opportunity and a decrease in production due to the COVID-19 pandemic serves as the most challenging threat. The IE matrix demonstrates that the position of agribusiness MSMEs in Sukoharjo Regency is in cell V, which means keeping and maintaining that can be done with product penetration and development strategies. Alternatives to agribusiness MSME sustainability strategies are building synergies to increase market share with online marketing; improving the quality of human resources through training; establishing partnerships with suppliers to suppress raw materials; strengthening quality control to maintain quality; innovating the product; maximizing the ability of human resources and the management of product competitiveness; introducing, promoting, and discounting products; and increasing partnerships with large businesses. In the new normal era, the priority of agribusiness MSME business sustainability strategy in Sukoharjo Regency is building synergies to improve the market with online marketing.

Abstract

This community service activities aim to introduce continuous band sealer machine technology to improve the quality of butterfly pea flower tea product packaging from Idako Sukses Mandiri MSMEs. The implementation of this community service uses participatory and mentoring methods. Activities are evaluated using before-after evaluation and descriptive analysis. The results of the service show that the Continous Band Sealer Machine has a positive impact on business sustainability. The Continous Band Sealer Machine can overcome the problems of MSMEs with limited production equipment in terms of packaging. Idako Sukses Mandiri MSMEs can use the machine well, and they will be more experienced and skilled. The positive impact can be seen from the quality of the packaging sealing; the sealing time becomes faster with a large amount, so the time used becomes efficient.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of Shaqiri SME workers by introducing appropriate technology, such as cassava chopper machines. The community service activities were carried out with a participatory approach, involving collaboration between the community service team from academia and SMEs as partners. The service team also conducted monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of service activities. The community service team conducted an evaluation using a pre-post intervention approach with evaluation instruments that included sheets and questionnaires, structured interviews, photos, and video documentation. The data was analyzed descriptively and comparatively, focusing on quantitative and qualitative changes. The results showed that the introduction of a cassava chopper machine provided benefits to Shaqiri SMEs in the production process. The cassava chopping process, which previously took a long time, became faster, the thickness of the slices became consistent, and it was less tiring for workers.

Abstract

Research and community service performance are key indicators of a college's quality. This Research aims to analyze performance and formulate alternative improvement strategies for P2M performance of lecturers at the Faculty of Agriculture, UNS. This Research employs a descriptive qualitative method, utilizing key informants who are stakeholders in the agricultural faculty at UNS. Primary data consists of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to P2M and supported by secondary P2M data. Results show that P2M performance is generally already relatively good. However, some aspects of performance, such as Scopus publications, patents, and books, still need improvement. Alternative strategies formulated are the SO strategy: improvement of competence achievement, grant research, and community service at internal, external, and international levels, improvement of actualization of P2M through international indexation, utilization of journals at the faculty for increasing global cooperation, and increasing the contribution of lecturers in the food self-sufficiency program. WO Strategy: Optimizing the utilization of assets to capture demand opportunities for agricultural-based products as a source of income-generating, increasing the participation and capabilities of lecturers in international publications. ST Strategy: Increasing personal productivity and strengthening P2M innovation to encourage commercialization of research results, optimizing the role of lecturers to increase competitiveness in the external environment, strengthening branding through international publications, and improving the quality of journal media. WT Strategy: Monitoring and evaluation of collaboration sustainability and develop partnerships with external parties, developing innovation and strengthening commercialization through increasing the number of patents and books.
