Abstract

The study describes Imam Zarkasyi's thought of reconstruction of pesantren reform. This study aims to explore Zarkasyi's thoughts to be implemented as a model of Islamic education reform for the modernization of Islamic society. The limitations of this research are the Zarkasyi curriculum, empowerment of organizational management, and ethics training in Islamic boarding schools. The findings were revealed in three main points. First, Zarkasyi believes that the Islamic Education curriculum should cover religious principles, as well as modern science. Thus, students are expected to master Arabic and English. Second, the management of the organization and waqf requires significant improvements to strengthen pesantren institutions in accordance with modern principles. Third, pesantren education emphasizes the values of sincerity, simplicity, independence, togetherness, and freedom to foster ethical awareness in Islamic education schools. The values above are expected to become the hallmarks of the Gontor Islamic Boarding School graduates.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan studi kepustakaan yang menelaah silabus pembelajaran Al-Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan (AIK) di Perguruan Tinggi Muhammadiyah, khususnya AIK I yang berfokus pada Aqidah. Data primer dan sekunder diperoleh dari buku Pedoman Pendidikan AIK oleh Majelis Pendidikan Tinggi Pimpinan Pusat dan literatur terkait pendidikan nilai. Melalui analisis deskriptif analitis, penelitian ini menguraikan data silabus sebagai objek material, menggali implikasi pendidikan karakter, serta mengevaluasi relevansi kurikulum dengan teori pendidikan nilai dan Living Values Education (LVE). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun silabus AIK I mencakup materi keimanan dan kemanusiaan, implementasinya seringkali kurang efektif jika tidak didukung oleh metode pembelajaran yang kreatif. Oleh karena itu, disarankan untuk mengintegrasikan pendekatan pendidikan nilai dalam pembelajaran AIK guna meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerapan nilai-nilai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan rekomendasi model pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan berorientasi pada pengembangan karakter mahasiswa, sehingga dapat menciptakan lulusan yang tidak hanya cerdas secara kognitif, tetapi juga memiliki nilai-nilai moral yang kuat.

Abstract

Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory explains that an individual's behavior, including in the learning process, is influenced by the interaction between the id, ego, and superego. Conflicts between instinctual drives and social norms in the context of learning tasks often lead to anxiety, stress, and procrastination. This study aims to explore how these psychoanalytic dynamics affect students' learning processes. The research method involves qualitative analysis of case studies and interviews with students in educational settings. The findings reveal that the ego plays a crucial role in managing emotional pressures, enabling students to overcome learning barriers more adaptively. In conclusion, applying psychoanalytic theory in education provides a deeper understanding of the psychological barriers students face, leading to a more holistic approach to learning that integrates both cognitive and emotional aspects.
