Abstract

The transformation of conventional mass media into digital has had an impact on human life in all aspects of life, especially patterns of thinking and social practices. Ironically, the public is not yet fully aware of the potential threats posed by digital media. The process of migrating to digital media makes the virtual world lose depth and accuracy in digesting accurate and accountable information. Mental health and terrorism are a small number of diseases that colonize and inhabit the digital world as if preparing to infect its users. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study model. The main data sources were obtained from fifty reputable national and international scientific journals and books. Meanwhile, supporting data was obtained from various digital and social media platforms, such as YouTube, websites belonging to the government of the Republic of Indonesia and the private sector, and social media popular among people in the industrial era 5.0. This article examines in more depth how digital media has contaminated its users on a psychological aspect and has become a symptom of an acute social illness. This study concludes that among the forms of digital media disease are acute internet addiction, cybercrime, pornography-sexual crimes, cyberbullying, ignoring others, FOMO, living without a society, culture without privacy, noise in silence, nervous, liking to show off, thirst for appreciation, like sensation-controversy, to radicalism-terrorism.

Abstract

Type of nomophobia emerges from the prevalence of excessive use of smartphones. The Nomophobia Instrument (NMP-Q) has been adapted across several countries and languages. Still, there have been few studies that have adapted and tested the psychometric properties of the NMP-Q. Thus, this study aimed to linguistically and culturally adapt and validate the Indonesian version of NMP-Q (NMPQ-10). The adaptation process involved experts in language and psychology. The NMPQ-10 in the Indonesian version was validated by involving 276 college students from public universities in Indonesia aged 17 to 24 years old. The results revealed that empirical data supported the overall measurement model of NMPQ-10. The internal structure of NMPQ-10 in the Indonesian version was similar to that of the original version. The Indonesian version of NMPQ-10 also had high psychometric properties, as indicated by the composite reliability (CR) of 0.932 and a Cronbach Alpha of 0.97. Both were classified as high and evident in internal structure (satisfactory construct validity and convergent validity). This study has important implications for counseling practice, as counselors can use the NMPQ-10 to identify individuals experiencing high levels of nomophobia and guide interventions and treatment plans accordingly. In conclusion, the Indonesian version of NMPQ-10 can be utilized to assess nomophobia among college students. Further studies are needed to include a larger sample to improve the validation of NMPQ-10.

Abstract

Abstract

This paper aims to examine the image and personality of human beings in the perspective of Western psychology and Islamic psychology. The writing method used is a qualitative method (qualitative research). As for the process of analyzing the data, the author uses the descriptive-analytical analysis method. This paper proves that the study of human image in the review of Western psychology and Islamic psychology has similarities. Similarly, in the humanistic school of psychology the image of the human being is seen as a good being and has unlimited potential (homo ludens). This view is consistent with the teachings of Islam as well as the Eastern people's view of man. However, in understanding human personality, Western psychology and Islamic psychology have differences. First, in the perspective of Western psychology, the study of human personality is ethically neutral, that is, it only displays the personality that appears as it is.In the perspective of Islamic psychology, the study of human personality is ethically laden, that is, it displays the personality that should be. Second, in the perspective of Western psychology, the study of personality only looks at the empirical (environmental) aspect, without looking at the mental (spiritual) aspects behind the human personality. In the perspective of Islamic psychology, the study of personality not only looks at the empirical (environmental) aspects, but also looks at the mental (spiritual) aspects that underlie the human personality. Third, in the perspective of Western psychology the study of personality is anthropocentrically oriented, which means that the human personality is influenced by human potential alone, and negates the existence of interference or will from God Almighty. Meanwhile, the study of human personality in the perspective of Islamic psychology is anthropo-religiouscentric oriented, which means that human personality is not only influenced by human potential, but also there is interference or will from God Almighty.

Abstract

This research aims to build and confirm a conceptual interaction model between school policy, school climate, and Islamic religious learning in the context of student resilience. These four variables were tested by formulating six hypotheses. This research uses the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to explore the interactive effects of school policies, school climate, and Islamic religious learning on student resilience. With a sample of 500 teachers and 500 students from Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Bengkulu, this research used a validated questionnaire to measure these variables. Data were analyzed using the SmartPLS 4 application to evaluate measurement and structural models. The results of the analysis show that school policies have a positive and significant impact on student resilience with a coefficient of 0.212, a T value of 6.495, and a P value approaching 0.000; towards Islamic religious learning with a coefficient of 0.398, a T value of 14.137, and a P value approaching 0.000; and on school climate with a coefficient of 0.683, a T value of 22.063, and a P value approaching 0.000. School climate also positively and significantly impacts Islamic religious learning with a coefficient of 0.542, a T value of 19.079, and a P value of close to 0.000. It has a more minor but significant effect on student resilience with a coefficient of 0.164, a T value of 2.387, and a P value of 0.017. Islamic religious learning strongly impacts student resilience with a coefficient of 0.539, a T value of 10.580, and a P value approaching 0.000. In conclusion, these results confirm that the model built is well-structured and can be generalized. Keywords: Islamic Learning , School Policy, School Climate, Student Resilience
