Abstract

Vasectomy is a contraceptive method for men or families who no longer want children. This method has a success rate of 99.8% and is very safe to use. Nevertheless, the number of men’s participation in the family planning program (KB), especially vasectomy, in Kupang was significantly low. Only 78 of 893 men who participated in KB were vasectomy acceptors. This fact was different from the number of participants for tubectomy in the city, which reached 2.687 acceptors in 2019. Practically, surgery for tubectomy is more complicated than vasectomy surgery. This study aimed to explore the reasons some husbands decided to participate in vasectomy. This research was a qualitative study with five informants. The results showed that the informants had both good understanding and positive attitude towards vasectomy. Also, the informants obtained socio-cultural support, easy access to the place of health services, and their spouses’ support in vasectomy participation. Socialization on vasectomy should address benefits, side effects, and other factors causing vasectomy to be considered taboo by the public. This will help change people’s incorrect mindset about vasectomy and increase the number of vasectomy participation. Keywords: Vasectomy, Husband, Participation, Support, Access

Abstract

Satisfaction is a form of one's feelings after experiencing service quality that has met expectations. Health services, especially family planning, is expected to meet the needs of acceptors. However, there are complaints from acceptors related to the service of injectable contraceptive received. These complaints are related to the comfortability of the waiting room, the condition of the family planning room that is still not neatly arranged, and the lack of family planning equipment. The measurement of acceptor satisfaction needs to be carried out regularly, accurately and continuously through a satisfaction survey. This study aims to determine the level of acceptor satisfaction with Depo-Medroxyprogesterone Acetate (DMPA) injection family planning at Baumata Health Center, Kupang Regency. The study was a survey with a quantitative approach. This study had a population of 74 people. A sample of 43 people were selected using proportional random sampling technique. The data were analyzed using the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method. The results showed that acceptors were satisfied for the tangible dimension (88.4%), and very satisfied for the dimension of reliability (95.5%), responsiveness (95.3%), assurance (94.5%) and empathy (96.5%). The health center needs to improve the service quality of injectable contraceptives by ensuring the availability of related devices, timeliness in the service provision, and complete preparation of the injectable birth control equipment.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is one of the important elements to measure the health services quality. This is so that health care facilities can remain standing and continue to grow in providing health service to the community. National health insurance is a government program that aims to provide health insurance for all Indonesian people. The purpose of the research was to determine the effect of the health services quality on the satisfaction level of participants in the national health insurance at the Oesapa Public Health Center. This type of research is quantitative research using cross sectional research design. The total population is 833 who are participants of the national health insurance. The number of samples is 138 with the sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data collection was done bye interview using a questionnaire. The statistical test used is simple linear regression analysis. The result of the research indicate that there is a significant influence between the health services quality in the dimension of tangible (p value = 0,000), reliability (p value = 0,000), responsiveness (p value = 0,000), assurance (p value = 0,000) and empathy (p value = 0,000) for the level of satisfaction of national health insurance at the Oesapa Public Health Center in 2022. It is recommended for Oesapa Public Health Center to maintain the health services quality so that it remains good and continues developed so that patients who use health facilities are satisfied with the quality of services provided.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan program tuberkulosis paru telah berjalan dengan baik namun masih terdapat peningkatan penemuan kasus dari 48 pada 2020 menjadi 149 di tahun 2021. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui implementasi program tuberkulosis paru di Puskesmas Sasi. Penelitian dengan pendekatan kualitatif, jenis penelitian studi kasus, bersifat deskriptif. Informan dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Input, ketersediaan tenaga kesehatan untuk TB Paru hanya satu orang, terdapat beban kerja rangkap untuk petugas. Dana program TB Paru berasal dari BOK, DAK dan bantuan non pemerintah (Global Fund), terdapat dua sumber dana pada program yang sama yaitu pemantauan kontak serumah, penjaringan TB dan sarana prasarana memiliki kualitas baik. Proses, meliputi persiapan, analisis situasi, perumusan masalah, dan penyusunan rencana usulan kegiatan telah berjalan dengan baik namun pada penyusunan rencana pelaksanaan kegiatan belum efektif karena masih terdapat pendoubelan dana pada program yang sama. Output, capaian penemuan kasus TB Paru di Puskesmas Sasi mencapai 15%, keberhasilan pengobatan TB Paru 14,8% dan capaian pengobatan lengkap 39,5% yang masih jauh dari target nasional. Disarankan untuk Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten TTU perlu melakukan pengawasan terhadap anggaran puskesmas dalam pelaksanaan program TB Paru.

Abstract

Community groups of farmers and plantation workers picking old coconuts are only sold in the market in raw form. They have not received an empowerment program in processing agricultural and plantation products. On the other hand, there are small household businesses that produce VCO with simple equipment, manually and by hand, so that production capacity is limited. They have not received science and technology assistance from universities. This service program (PKM) is located in Baumata Village. The purpose of PKM is to increase the potential of agricultural products as products that increase household income, which leads to an increase in community welfare. PKM is carried out by providing a grating machine and squeezing equipment. The activity stages are activity planning and partner survey, intervention, counseling and advice. This PKM increases the added value and selling value of coconut products. The fruit picked from coconut trees ranges from 10-40 seeds per day sold at a price of Rp. 3,000. Average income in the range of Rp. 30,000.00 - Rp. 100,000.00. Empowerment of community groups and small household businesses provides added value in terms of income and increases the welfare of farmers. Coconut is produced into VCO. VCO products are sold in 250 mL packages for Rp. 50.000,00 then farmers get added value and product processing value. 40 coconut seeds produced into VCO will produce 5000 mL of VCO equivalent to 20 bottles of 250 mL VCO or Rp. 1,000,000. Empowerment of this community group has the ability to produce VCO products quickly, easily, simply, has good sanitation and quality production, has P-IRT labeling and permits to be marketed as a family or group business. This increases family income and provides economic value for coconut products.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction is the result of an assessment of the emotional response that the patient gets because of the fulfillment of expectations for the services received. One form of UKP First Level is outpatient services. The initial survey which was conducted in February 2020, the Head of the Puskesmas gave an overview of the medical services provided by doctors. In 2019, the puskesmas brought in doctors who previously served at the puskesmas near the border, so that in that year the doctors provided services in 2 different work areas. This study aims to determine the level of patient satisfaction with outpatient services, using a quantitative descriptive research method with a cross-sectional study design. Research variables include direct evidence, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The population of this study were all patients who visited the General Polyclinic during the period December 2021-February 2022 totaling 503 visitors with a sample of 83 people and using a simple random sampling technique. The results showed that the level of satisfaction with the category of satisfaction on direct evidence (22.9%), reliability (41%), responsiveness (66.3%), assurance (20.5%), and empathy (36.1%), whereas with the very satisfied category on the dimensions of direct evidence (77.1%), reliability (59%), responsiveness (33.7%), assurance (79.5%), and empathy (63.9%). As a suggestion, it is expected that there will be an evaluation to improve and optimize outpatient services such as adding laboratory personnel, paying attention to the completeness of medical devices and medicines, especially medicines that are often needed by the community.

Abstract

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic is one of the major public health problems today and the whole country is experiencing a pandemic. Vaccination is the government's effort to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic. The coverage of COVID-19 vaccination at the Ndetundora Health Center in 2021 is still low, namely as much as 14.80% for dose 1 and 7.04% for dose 2, then in 2022 the vaccination coverage will increase quite high, namely 75.16% for dose 1 and 53.23% for dose 2. The purpose of this study was to find out the public's interest in taking the COVID-19 vaccination in the working area of the Ndetundora Health Center, Ende Regency in 2022. Subjects and Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted at the Ndetun­dora Health Center, Ende, East Nusa Tenggara, from September to October 2022. A total of 243 people were selected for this study. The dependent variable was the public's interest in taking the COVID-19 vaccination. The independent variables are age, gender, education, occupation, knowledge, attitude, community motivation and public communication. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using Chi-square. Results: The results showed that someone with higher education increased their interest in taking the COVID-19 vaccination by 0.38 times compared to people with low education, and the results were statistically significant (OR= 0.38; 95% CI= 0.21 to 0.69; p= 0.001). Someone with motivation High motivation increase interest in taking the COVID-19 vaccination by 49.5 times compared to those with low motivation (OR = 49.5; 9% CI = 21.49 to 114.16; p < 0.001), good public communication will increase public interest in taking the COVID-19 vaccination 2.74 times compared to poor public communication (OR= 2.74; 95% CI= 1.20 to 6.25; p= 0.014). Conclusion: Education, knowledge, attitudes, community motivation, and public communication have a significant effect on participation in the COVID-19 vaccination. Abstract

Background: Public Gas Station (SPBU) is a public infrastructure to provide the fuel needs of the wider community. The high demand for fuel in Indonesia leads to demanding activities and potentially causes work fatigue to the workforce, especially operators. The study aims to analyze the correlation between working period, noise, workload, and work fatigue among the operators of the Public Gas Station in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara. Subjects and Method: A cross-sectional study was conducted in Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara from October- November 2022. A total of 68 subjects consisted of 30 operators of 16 hours Public Gas Station; 38 operators of 24 hours Public Gas Station. The dependent variable was work fatigue. The independent variables were working period, noise, and workload. The data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using Spearman Correlation (rho). Results: Working period indicated a strong negative correlation with work fatigue, and was statistically significant (r= -0.74; p< 0.001). Noise revealed a weak negative correlation with work fatigue at gas station operators (r= -0.25; p= 0.837), while workloads showed a strong positive correlation with work fatigue at gas station operators, and the result was statistically significant (r= 0.850; p< 0.001). Conclusion: Working period, noise, and workload have a correlation with work fatigue among public gas station operators. Keywords: work fatigue, working period, noise, workload. Abstract

K4 pregnant women services are complete antenatal services with a time of examination, namely one visit in the first trimester, one visit in the second trimester, and two visits in the third trimester. The Baumata Community Health Center experienced a decline in K4 coverage based on the Kupang District Health Office profile data and annual reports where in 2016 K4 coverage reached 60.7%, in 2017 it reached 51.8% and in 2018 it only reached 44.2%. This research is a combination of qualitative and quantitative research (mix method) with descriptive research. The purpose of this study is to examine the implementation of K4 coverage services at the Baumata community health center in 2018 which includes description of inputs (human resources, facilities, sources of funds, policies and Standard Operating Procedures), process descriptions (planning and organizing) as well as output descriptions (K4 coverage ). Informants in this study amounted to 13 people and respondents numbered 66 people consisting of the Head of the Family Health and Nutrition Section of the Kupang District Health Office, the Head of the Baumata community health center, the Midwife who provided K4 services and the mother who had a pregnancy (K4) at the community health center Baumata in 2018. The results showed that in terms of input at the Baumata community health center as a whole it was good but there was no Ultrasonography facility at the community health center and the limited space where there was no special room for maternal and child health services/ family planning/immunization, in terms of the process is good related to planning, organizing and forms of services received by pregnant women are in accordance with 10T standards, it's just a long time in the process of providing services due to poor management time and lack of awareness of pregnant women to check pregnancy to the facility. The nearest health bag is due to the lack of knowledge of pregnant women about the importance of antenatal care, while in terms of output based on document review it can be seen that in the past three years there has been a decline in achievement of the K4 target at the Baumata community health center. It is recommended that the Baumata community health center procure supporting facilities in the form of Ultrasonography and additional rooms, make time management so that pregnant women do not wait too long for the service process, and conduct socialization to the public about the importance of antenatal care.

Abstract

The behavior in the consumption of alcoholic beverages is one of the main problems among young people in the village of Lakanmau. The aim of this study was to determine the factors related to the consumption behavior of alcoholic drinks in adolescents in the village of Lakanmau in 2018. The research used was an analytical survey using a cross-sectional design. The population in this study was the total population of adolescents aged 12 to 21 years in the Lakanmau Village area with 182 adolescents. The sample size was 65 respondents. There was data analysis used a chi-square test at a confidence level of 90%. The results showed that a correlation between the knowledge level (P-Value = 0.001<0.05), the educational level (P-Value = 0.000<0.05) and the invitation of peers (P-Value = 0.002<0.05) and the behavior consists adolescents consume alcoholic beverages in the village of Lakanmau. It is recommended for parents to give the good controlling for their children about the consumption of alcohol beverages.
