Abstract

Indonesia, negara pluralis dengan beragam suku, agama, budaya, dan bahasa, menghadapi tantangan intoleransi yang mengancam kerukunan bermasyarakat dan bernegara. Penelitian ini mengkaji fenomena intoleransi secara mendalam menggunakan pendekatan studi kasus, fokus pada pemicu sikap intoleransi dan praktik-praktik yang diakibatkan oleh konstruksi nilai moral yang menyimpang. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui reduksi, penyajian, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Intoleransi dapat menyebabkan dampak negatif seperti perpecahan bangsa dan konflik sosial. Mengatasi intoleransi memerlukan upaya komprehensif dari berbagai pemangku kepentingan, termasuk pemerintah, masyarakat, dan lembaga pendidikan. Kebijakan untuk mengatasi ancaman intoleransi terhadap Pancasila dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai strategi. Intoleransi muncul dalam bentuk sikap diskriminatif terhadap kelompok minoritas, penyebaran paham radikal, dan politik identitas yang memecah belah. Pancasila, sebagai landasan utama kehidupan berbangsa dan bernegara, harus dijaga dan dilestarikan untuk mempertahankan keberagaman sebagai kekayaan Indonesia.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini merupakan upaya peningkatan pengetahuan pengenalan Bahasa Inggris untuk tingkat sekolah dasar yang melibatkan isu konservasi. Kegiatan ini melibatkan 34 orang anak-anak SD / MI sederajat yang ada di Kota Banjar dan sekitarnya. Pelaksanaan bimbingan belajar ini dilakukan selama 4 kali pertemuan setiap hari Ahad/ Minggu selama bulan puasa (Ramadhan 1444 H/ 2023 M) dari tanggal 26 Maret, 2 April, 9 April, dan 16 April 2023. Perolehan data primer menggunakan dairy journal, observasi, dokumentasi video dan wawancara secara online. Pada acara pembukaan kegiatan ini diawali sosialisasi konservasi sehingga bukan saja literasi bahasa Inggris yang mengalami peningkatan namun juga literasi pengelolaan lingkungan hidup. Peningkatan pengetahuan Bahasa Inggris dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan hasil yang memuaskan bagi anak-anak SD/ MI sederajat level 1st Primary Class dengan capaian 80% (pengenalan Number)  90% (pengenalan Part of the Body), dan 99% (pengenalan Greeting). Sedangkan kemampuan level 2nd Primary Class terhadap pengetahuan Introducing Myselft mencapai 32% (kategori lancar menjawab) dan 68% (kategori kurang lancar menjawab). Sedangkan hasil wawancara dengan orangtua menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan semacam ini sangat bermanfaat untuk mengisi waktu luang anak-anak serta dapat mengurangi intensitas penggunaan gadget sehingga kegiatan ini dapat dilakukan secara berkesinambungan. Salah satu peserta juga menunjukkan antusiasnya karena selama bimbingan belajar, para tutor menggunakan metode pembelajaran yang menarik dan atraktif. Mengingat manfaatnya yang sangat luar biasa, kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat diselenggarakan lagi dimasa mendatang dengan menlibatkan berbagai disiplin keilmuwan yang berbeda.

Abstract

Pulo traditional village is the embodiment of a unique combination of customs, history and architecture. The Kampung Adat Pulo has a mix of religions, starting with the community embracing Hinduism, Islam emerged with the arrival of Embah Dalem Arif Muhamad who stopped by after the defeat of the Dutch VOC and spread Islam. There are still strong customs that must be adhered to in the Kampung Adat Pulo, including not being allowed to add buildings, the traditional village can only be occupied by six houses of six heads of families from the lineage of Embah Dalem's daughters, which until now cannot be violated. And there are many other customs that cannot be violated, such as not being able to keep four-legged animals, not being allowed to hit large musical instruments such as gongs and many more. The architecture of Kampung Adat Pulo buildings is valued as a characteristic of traditional Sundanese buildings that are based on nature. which is still preserved.

Abstract

The study aims to explore the dynamics of local cultural change in the Cintanagara community, focusing on the interaction between tradition and modernity. The community has experienced significant socio-cultural changes due to technological advances. These changes have affected various aspects of life, including social, economic, and cultural aspects. The research examines how modernization affects the existence of traditions and ancestral heritage in Cintanagara. In addition, the research also explores how the community adapts modernity to local culture, creating a unique identity. The research was conducted to understand how local communities preserve local wisdom amid changing times. Descriptive qualitative research methods were used through data reduction to explore the dynamics of local cultural change in the Cintanagara community between tradition and culture. The results of the study are expected to provide insights into cultural change in the Cintanagara community, as well as strategies to strengthen and preserve culture in accordance with the needs and demands of the times.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Mapag Panganten in the modern era, analyze the factors causing its decline, and formulate appropriate revitalization strategies to ensure that this tradition remains sustainable and relevant. This study uses a qualitative approach with ethnographic methods through observation and in-depth interviews with traditional leaders. The results show that the Mapag Panganten tradition has undergone a transformation in form as an adaptation to modern lifestyles. The challenges faced include low knowledge regeneration, minimal policies, and the dominance of popular culture. Revitalization strategies that can be used include strengthening the role of indigenous communities and art studios, local cultural education in schools, holding cultural festivals, and utilizing digital media as a means of documentation and promotion. This research is expected to be a concrete effort in preserving the sustainability of Mapag Panganten as a Sundanese cultural heritage amid the tide of modernization.

Abstract

The traditional Permule ceremony is held once a year when rice planting begins. The aim of this research is to determine the series of Permule Traditional Ceremony processions in Cikupa Village and the humanist values of the Permule Traditional Ceremony in Cikupa Village. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are: (1) The Permule Traditional Ceremony procession series was carried out from the preparation stage with collecting funds, announcements/bewara, making offerings/offerings and preparing materials. Next, the opening ceremony took the form of everything, the process of planting rice trees and tawasul as well as prayer. The final stage of closing is eating together. (2) the humanist values in the Permule Traditional Ceremony are divided into 6, including: the value of respecting other people's opinions (freedom to express opinions), cooperation, sacrificial relationships, caring for other people, mutual help and the value of solidarity.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the development of Ebeg Traditional Art in Patimuan Village, Patimuan District, Cilacap, and to reveal the local wisdom values contained in Ebeg Traditional Art in Patimuan Village, Patimuan District, Cilacap. The method in this research uses qualitative methods using an ethnographic approach. The research instruments are observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques are carried out through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that Ebeg Traditional Arts have developed, and the local wisdom values of Ebeg Traditional Arts include; (1) Religious Values; (2) Social Values; (3) Cultural Values; (4) Artistic Value; (5) Historical Value; (6) Economic Value; (7) Value of Knowledge and Education; (8) Entertainment Value. The implications of this research are expected to serve as a reference for the development of strategies for preserving traditional arts based on cultural values, as well as strengthening local communities' awareness of the importance of preserving cultural heritage as a unifying force and determinant of identity.
