Abstract

Air Susu Ibu (ASI) eksklusif adalah ASI yang diberikan kepada bayi sejak dilahirkan sampai bayi berusia 6 bulan tanpa menambahkan dan/atau mengganti dengan makanan atau minuman lain (kecuali obat dan vitamin). Cakupan pemberian ASI eksklusif tahun 2021 di Depok sebesar 73,61% dan di Puskesmas Cisalak Pasar sebesar 75,51%. Intervensi yang dapat dilakukan dalam meningkatkan cakupan adalah penyuluhan berupa pemberian edukasi terkait pemberian ASI eksklusif. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan edukasi pemberian ASI eksklusif pada bayi 0-6 bulan di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Cisalak Pasar. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan secara door-to-door menggunakan media booklet dan brosur kepada pengasuh bayi 0-6 bulan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Cisalak Pasar. Analisis statistik yang digunakan adalah uji wilcoxon. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah terdapat perbedaan antara nilai pretest dan postes setelah diberikan penyuluhan pemberian ASI eksklusif, dengan nilai p-value = 0,006. Simpulan yang dapat diambil ialah terdapat pengaruh kegiatan intervensi berupa penyuluhan terkait pemberian ASI eksklusif di wilayah kerja UPTD Puskesmas Cisalak Pasar.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: According to 2018 Riskesdas data, the prevalence of stunting in Indonesia increased in 2010 from 35.6% to 37.2% in 2013 and in 2018 it decreased to 30.8%% (1). Research in Dakar, Senegal found that 45% of stunted children came from mothers who had insufficient nutritional knowledge in a group of mothers who did not receive nutritional education (2). Mothers who were given nutritional intervention experienced changes in knowledge and practice in providing food sources of protein and calories. Posters as a media for nutrition education provide changes in knowledge for mothers (3) (4). Booklets, posters and calendars are print media that are often used to convey health education (5).Objectives: The aim of this research defined the difference mothers’knowledge who have stunted and non-stunting toddlers when given booklets, calendars and posters.Methods: This research used a quasi-experimental study and the Wilcoxon test. The inclusion criteria in this study were mothers aged 20-35 years, having children under five, actively participating in Posyandu and willing to take part in research activities for 1 year. The mother's research exclusion criteria were moving from Pasir Putih Subdistrict and not attending Posyandu for 3 consecutive months. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling where maternal data is obtained from attendance at the Posyandu in each RW. Before the research was carried out, the research questionnaire went through a validity and reliability testing stage using computer software.Results: There was a difference in mothers' knowledge before and after being given nutrition education using booklet (pvalue 0.000), using calendar (pvalue 0.000) and using poster media (pvalue 0.000). Conclusions: Nutrition education effectively used as promotive efforts on mother in the prevention of stunting, it can be seen from the improvement of knowledge and nutritional intake before and after being given education

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between food delivery app usage, fat intake, physical activity, and the overweight status of students at public high school in Jakarta. The cross-sectional study involved 77 students from grades X and XI. The frequency of food delivery was grouped into ≥3 times/week or less. Types of food were grouped into light or heavy meals. Physical activity was measured using IPAQ-SF (International Physical Activity Questionnaire - Short Form) and fat intake using SQ FFQ (Semi-Quantitative - Food Frequency Questionnaire). Fat intake was grouped into sufficient and excess category. Physical activity was grouped into low and sufficient category. Chi-square analysis found that there is a significant correlation between overweight status and frequency of food delivery application usage (p<0.001). However, there is no significant correlation between overweight status with the type of food ordered (p=0.467) as well as the amount of food ordered (p=0.655). On the other hand, fat intake showed a significant association with overweight status in adolescents (p<0.001). A significant association was also found between physical activity and overweight (p<0.05). This study showed that the adolescents’ use of food delivery applications, fat intake, and physical activity have a significant correlation with their overweight status. However, the type and amount of food ordered did not show a significant correlation. Despite the insight offered, the study was small and limited in one school hence generalization of findings is limited. Thus, a larger study with diverse subjects is needed.

Abstract

Athletes with good physical fitness will have optimal performance quality. Fitness is a crucial factor in building an athlete's performance in achieving the expected competencies. One strategy for maintaining physical fitness levels is to consume foods with balanced nutrients, especially energy and macronutrients (Carbohydrates, Protein and Fat). In this study, the relationship between energy and macronutrient intake and the fitness of Pencak Silat, Sepak Takraw and Judo athletes at DKI Jakarta Province will be examined. This research uses a quantitative observational analytical method with a cross-sectional design and is analyzed descriptively analytically to determine the desired relationship. The data normality test used the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test, resulting in normally distributed data (p>0.05). The total population in this study was 75 people, 45 men and 30 women. The results of the analysis of Recall and VO2Max data which describe each variable show that there is a significant relationship between energy and macronutrient intake and athlete fitness. Marked with a P value = 0.00 (p value < 0.05). By understanding this relationship, it is hoped that it can help design a diet program that is more effective and suits the athlete's needs based on the type of sport they are involved in, so that the athlete can achieve optimal physical fitness.

Abstract

Persentase stunting di Indonesia mengalami penurunan sebesar 2,8% dari 24,4% hingga 21,6% pada tahun 2021-2022. Namun, hal itu tidak mencapai target penurunan stunting di Indonesia per tahun sebesar 3,4%. Penyebab stunting bersifat multifaktorial, salah satunya adalah infeksi. Hal itu dapat dicegah dengan Penerapan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) yang terdiri atas sepuluh indikator. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman terkait definisi, penyebab, dampak, serta cara pencegahan stunting dan meningkatkan pemahaman terkait sepuluh indikator PHBS pada ibu yang memiliki balita. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berbentuk penyuluhan menggunakan media video edukasi, powepoint, dan poster dengan kolaborasi antara mahasiswa, puskesmas, dan posyandu Desa Labuan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 10 Agustus 2024 pukul 08.00-12.00 WIT dengan sasaran ibu yang memiliki balita sebanyak 30 orang. Keberhasilan kegiatan ini ditandai oleh sikap antusias sasaran kegiatan, seperti aktif bertanya jawab diakhir pemaparan materi edukasi. Berdasarkan monitoring dan evaluasi, diharapkan kegiatan ini berkelanjutan, sehingga Desa Labuan dapat menjadi desa yang mandiri, bersih, dan sehat.

Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a critical period in life when reproductive organs mature and develop, especially in teenage girls. The menstrual cycle plays a crucial role in female reproductive health, often disrupted by various factors. Objectives: This research aims to identify factors affecting the menstrual cycle in female college students in Depok. Methods: This cross-sectional study involved 193 participants selected through stratified random sampling. Data collection included fast food consumption habits (measuring frequency and the amount of fat intake) using the Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), sleep quality assessment using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), stress levels evaluation using the Perceived Stress Scale-10 (PSS-10), and menstrual cycles assessment using the menstrual cycle questionnaire. Statistical analysis employed chi-square tests and multiple logistic regression. Results: No significant correlation was observed between the frequency of fast food consumption and the menstrual cycle (p-value=0.780). Conversely, fat intake (p-value=0.027; OR=2.6), sleep quality (p-value=0.009; OR=10.8), and stress levels (p-value<0,001; OR=7.19) showed a significant correlation with the menstrual cycle. Multivariate analysis identified stress level as the predominant factor (p-value<0.001; OR=9.411). Conclusions: This research concluded that there is a significant correlation between fat intake, sleep quality, stress levels, and the menstrual cycles among college students in Depok. Stress level emerged as the primary factor affecting adolescent respondents' menstrual cycles.

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a major global health concern, contributing to high mortality rates among adults and the elderly. Recent trends show a substantial upsurge in hypertension prevalence among adolescents. According to the Health Office of Depok City, 78.10% of adolescents aged ≥15 years are reported to have hypertension. Hypertension during adolescence often persists into adulthood, increasing the risk of long-term morbidity and mortality. The primary contributors include unhealthy lifestyle practices and poor dietary habits. Objectives: To investigate factors associated with elevated blood pressure among adolescents in Depok City, West Java, Indonesia. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted with 158 adolescents selected through stratified random sampling. Data collection took place between February to April 2024. Variables assessed included family history of hypertension, nutritional status (based on Body Mass Index categories as per the 2020 Ministry of Health regulation), and stress levels (measured using the Perceived Stress Scale). Statistical analysis employed chi-square tests and multiple logistic regression. Results: Significant associations were found between hypertension and family history (p-value = 0.034), nutritional status (p-value = 0.014), and stress levels (p-value < 0.001). Multivariate analysis indicated that stress levels were the strongest determinant of hypertension (OR = 6.09). Conclusions: Stress levels significantly influence blood pressure in adolescents. Schools should prioritize regular programs addressing stress management, emotional well-being, and balanced nutrition education to reduce the risk of adolescent hypertension.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Remaja dengan status gizi obesitas dan normal memiliki perbedaan yang bermakna pada frekuensi konsumsi makanan kemasan dan kebiasaan membaca label gizi. Pengetahuan menjadi petunjuk utama ketika membaca label gizi yang akan berpengaruh pada perilaku dalam memilih makanan kemasan. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan, kebiasaan membaca nutrition facts dan frekuensi konsumsi makanan kemasan dengan status gizi lebih remaja pengunjung sudin pusar jaksel. Metode :  Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan teknik accidental sampling. Sampel yang terpilih sebanyak 38 remaja berusia 18-25 tahun. Pengambilan dan pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan kuesioner dan alat ukur berupa microtoise dan timbangan digital. Data yang diperoleh diuji menggunakan uji Chi Square. Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan nutrition facts (p=1,000), kebiasaan membaca nutrition facts (p=0,235), dan frekuensi konsumsi makanan kemasan (p=1,000) tidak berhubungan (p>0,05) dengan status gizi lebih remaja. Kesimpulan: Mayoritas responden memiliki tingkat pengetahuan nutrition facts yang cukup (73,7%) namun tidak patuh dalam membaca nutrition facts (68,4%) sehingga diperlukan keselarasan antara pengetahuan dengan perilaku agar berdampak nyata pada frekuensi konsumsi makanan kemasan dan status gizi.

Abstract

Leukemia is one of the most common cancers in children, especially acute lymphoblastic leukemia and acute myeloid leukemia. Breastfeeding can reduce the risk of childhood cancer by improving the immune system. Breast milk has an immune system that can prevent acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children. This literature review aimed to evaluate the effect of exclusive breastfeeding on the incidence of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children. This study was conducted in March-June 2024 using the literature review method. This review follows the guidelines set out in the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). Literature sources were obtained from several databases such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, PubMed, JAMA, and Scopus in 2014-2024. There were 459 articles from 5 databases and 9 articles met the criteria. These literatures showed that breastfeeding can significantly reduce the risk of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children. Exclusive breastfeeding and longer breastfeeding duration were believed to reduce the risk of acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Based on this review, it is concluded that exclusive breastfeeding can strengthen the immune system against the risk of acute lymphoblastic leukemia in children.Keywords: acute lymphoblastic leukemia; children; exclusive breastfeeding ABSTRAK  Leukemia merupakan salah satu kanker yang paling sering terjadi pada anak-anak, terutama leukemia limfoblastik akut dan leukemia myeloid akut. Menyusui dapat mengurangi risiko kanker pada masa anak-anak dengan meningkatkan sistem kekebalan tubuh. Air susu ibu memiliki sistem imun yang dapat mencegah terjadinya leukemia limfoblastik akut pada anak. Literature review ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh pemberian ASI eksklusif terhadap kejadian leukemia limfoblastik akut pada anak. Studi ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-Juni 2024 menggunakan metode literature review. Tinjauan ini mengikuti pedoman yang ditetapkan dalam Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA). Sumber literatur diperoleh dari beberapa database seperti Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, PubMed, JAMA, dan Scopus dalam tahun 2014-2024. Terdapat 459 artikel dari 5 database dan didapatkan 9 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria. Literatur-literatur tersebut menunjukkan bahwa menyusui secara signifikan dapat menurunkan risiko kejadian leukemia limfoblastik akut pada anak. Pemberian air susu ibu eksklusif dan durasi menyusui yang lebih lama dipercaya dapat menurunkan risiko kejadian leukemia limfoblastik akut. Berdasarkan tinjauan tersebut disimpulkan bahwa pemberian air susu ibu eksklusif bisa memperkuat sistem imun terhadap risiko kejadian leukemia limfoblastik akut pada anak.Kata kunci: leukemia limfoblastik akut; anak; air susu ibu eksklusif

Abstract

The Sirajussa'adah Islamic Boarding School implements entrepreneurial activities for teenage students studying atthe Islamic boarding school in order to improve the skills of the students and instill an entrepreneurial spirit in theirstudents in carrying out tempe processing business activities called "tempa santri SS". Tempe Santri SS is a santribusiness created in order to help the community get hygienic and premium quality tempeh so that it can be enjoyedby the community. However, there are problems experienced by Islamic boarding schools, including the price ofsoybeans which continues to increase, there is still tempeh which is not sold every day, due to lack of marketing andthis has an impact on reducing product profits. The solution provided for community service activities is to diversifytempeh products by making tempeh with the addition of sago flour. Tempeh with the addition of sago will improvethe taste, reduce the use of soybeans and can be processed into tempeh chips, and can extend the product's shelf life.In this activity, training was carried out regarding the proper way to make tempeh chips, sanitation and hygiene offood managers/handlers at the production site and the practice of making tempeh chips. The data collected wasprocessed using the t test (SPSS). This activity, which was attended by 14 Islamic boarding school students andfemale students, showed an increase in the participants' knowledge, as shown by the increase in the average scorebefore and after the training with a value of (P=0.037) and the participants succeeded in making tempeh chipsindependently as a result of practical training in making tempeh chips. ABSTRAK Pondok Pesantren Sirajussa’adah menerapkan kegiatan kewirausahaan bagi para santri remaja yang bersekolah dipesantren agar dapat meningkatkan keterampilan santri dan menanamkan jiwa kewirausahaan pada santrinya dalammelaksanakan kegiatan usaha pengolahan tempe yang diberi nama “tempa santri SS”. Tempe Santri SS merupakanusaha santri yang dibuat dalam rangka membantu masyarakat agar mendapat tempe yang higienis dan berkualitaspremium hingga dapat dinikmati oleh masyarakat. Namun terdapat permasalahan yang dialami oleh pondokpesantren antara lain harga kedelai yang terus meningkat, masih terdapat tempe yang tidak laku terjual setiap harinya, karena kurangnya pemasaran dan hal ini berdampak pada berkurangnya keuntungan produk. Solusi yangdiberikan pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat adalah diversifikasi produk tempe melalui pembuatan tempe denganpenambahan tepung sagu. Tempe dengan penambahan sagu akan meningkatkan cita rasa, mengurangi penggunaankedelai dan dapat diolah menjadi keripik tempe, serta dapat memperpanjang masa simpan produk. Pada kegiatan inidilakukan pelatihan terkait cara pembuatan keripik tempe yang baik, sanitasi dan higienitas pengelola/penjamahmakanan yang berada di tempat produksi dan praktek pembuatan keripik tempe. Data hasil pengumpulan diolahmenggunakan uji t test (SPSS). Kegiatan yang diikuti oleh 14 santri dan santriwati ini menunjukkan adanyapeningkatan pengetahuan peserta ditunjukkan dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata sebelum dan sesudah pelatihan dengannilai sebesar (P=0,037) dan peserta berhasil membuat keripik tempe secara mandiri sebagai hasil pelatihan praktikpembuatan keripik tempe.
