Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pedoman gizi seimbang merupakan pengetahuan gizi yang harus dipahami oleh remaja putri, namun konsep pedoman gizi seimbang masih belum sefamiliar 4 sehat 5 sempurna. Perilaku pilihan pangan tidak sesuai anjuran pedoman gizi seimbang meningkatkan risiko overweight. Tujuan: Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pengetahuan pedoman gizi seimbang dan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi perilaku pilihan pangan pada remaja putri overweight. Metode: Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara mendalam dan triangulasi sumber. Jumlah subjek sebanyak 16 orang. Subjek penelitian ialah remaja dengan status gizi overweight dan normal (sebagai pembanding). Penelitian dilakukan selama 8 minggu. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh subjek penelitian lebih mengenal 4 sehat 5 sempurna daripada Pedoman Gizi Seimbang. Pedoman gizi seimbang bukan menjadi alasan utama pilihan pangan subjek. Kebiasaan selalu sarapan sudah cukup baik diantara subjek, namun masih tingginya konsumsi pangan tidak sehat seperti makanan/minuman manis, gurih/asin, gorengan, serta komposisi makanan tidak seimbang diantara subjek penelitian.  Simpulan: Perilaku pilihan pangan remaja putri overweight belum sesuai dengan pedoman gizi seimbang disebabkan minimnya keterpaparan informasi PGS serta lebih kuatnya pengaruh faktor eksternal (lingkungan rumah, sekolah, keluarga, dan media digital) maupun faktor internal (organoleptik pangan dan uang saku) dalam pembuatan keputusan pilihan pangan subjek.

Abstract

Hypertension is one of non-communicable diseases which prevalence is high in Indonesia, not only among adult and elderly but also among adolescent. Hypertension can be caused by various factors including fat intake, fi ber intake and nutritional status. The purpose of this study was analyze the correlation of fat intake, fi ber intake, and obesity with hypertension among female students at Vocational high school, Bekasi, Indonesia. This was a cross sectional study among 255 female students who were selected by purposive sampling technique. Hypertension was measured using sphygmomanometer with 95 percentile cut-off based on sex, age, and body height (cut-off hypertension was > 104-115 mmHg systolic and > 62-68 mmHg diastolic blood pressure). Fat and fi ber intake were assessed using Semi Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ), and obesity was measured using digital weighing scales and microtoise. Data were analyzed by chi square test. The results showed that prevalence of female students with low f fat intake was 58,8%; low fi ber intake was 82,0%; obesity was 25,1%; and hypertension was 16,5%. There was a positive correlation between fat intake (p=0,011) and obesity (p<0,01) with hypertension but no correlation was found between fi ber intake (p=0,916) and hypertension. Fat intake and obesity were related to the hypertension in adolescents. Routine blood pressure checks and restrictions on fat intake are needed to reduce the risk of hypertension in adolescents.

Abstract

Objective: The Indonesian government officially announced that COVID-19 had entered Indonesia in early March 2020. The COVID-19 pandemic has changed all aspects of life, one of which is the world of education. Learning is still carried out but is carried out from home, or another name is the school from home (SFH). This SFH condition causes a lack of physical activity and increases the sedentary lifestyle among school students. Methods: This study uses a descriptive method with data collection techniques using a questionnaire in Google Form. The number of samples is 242 students. The results of the data collected were analysed and processed using SPSS 25.0. Data analysis using Chi-Square Test.Results: The data analysis results showed a relationship between learning from home and weight gain of elementary school students with a p-value <0.005, namely a p-value of 0.046.Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is recommended for parents and teachers always to accompany and remind school children to maintain a healthy diet. Moreover, physical activity is needed even though learning from home so that the child's weight does not increase significantly and remains within the criteria for normal nutritional status. In addition, it is also recommended to conduct other studies related to factors that influence weight gain in school-age children during the covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract

Hipertensi adalah penyakit yang diakibatkan oleh tingginya tekanan darah dan dapat dikendalikan dengan mengonsumsi zat gizi yang baik untuk penderita. Bunga telang dan buah naga merah merupakan makanan yang mengandung antosianin dan kalium yang baik untuk hipertensi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh penambahan ekstrak bunga telang terhadap kadar antosianin, kalium, dan sifat organoleptik jeli buah naga merah. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) satu faktor dengan dua kali pengulangan. Faktor tersebut adalah formulasi jeli yang memiliki tiga tingkatan, F1 (5 g), F2 (7 g), dan F3 (9 g). Analisis uji organoleptik, kadar antosianin, dan kalium masing-masing diuji menggunakan Kruskal Wallis dan ANOVA dan akan dilanjutkan apabila terdapat perbedaan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan signifikan pada uji organoleptik dan kadar kalium (p>0,05), sedangkan pada uji kadar antosianin terdapat perbedaan signifikan (p=0,024). Formula terpilih adalah F3 yang memiliki energi sebesar (29,54 kkal), kadar air (71,96%), abu (0,66%), karbohidrat (6,94 g), lemak (0 g), protein (0,44 g), antosianin (15,277 mg), dan kalium (287,5 mg).

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian cross sectional ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kualitas konsumsi pangan dengan status gizi anak usia 2-5 tahun pada masyarakat adat di Kasepuhan Ciptagelar dan Sinar Resmi. Subjek adalah 104 anak (2-5 tahun). Data kualitas konsumsi pangan dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner recall 24 jam sedangkan data status gizi dikumpulkan melalui pengukuran antropometri yang terdiri dari pengukuran berat badan dan tinggi badan. Data karakteristik, sosio-ekonomi, ketersediaan pangan, dan morbiditas dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner. Data kualitas konsumsi pangan diolah menggunakan Indeks Gizi Seimbang 3-60 (IGS3-60). Data dianalisis menggunakan independen t-test, Spearman, dan Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kualitas konsumsi pangan dengan status gizi (p>0,05). Subjek dengan kualitas konsumsi yang lebih baik cenderung memiliki status gizi yang lebih baik juga. Ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara dua kasepuhan pada pekerjaan orang tua, ketersediaan pangan, dan status gizi.

Abstract

Nutritional problems in school-age children can occur because of less knowledge. School-age period is the right time for provide nutrition education. Nutrition education needs the interesting and fun media to make it easier to understand, such as crossword puzzles and animation videos. This study aims is to determine the influence of nutrition education with crossword puzzles and animation videos on balanced nutrition knowledge in school-age children. The methods that used is a quasi-experimental with a pretest and posttest group design. The 54 students aged 10 to 12 from fifth graders were selected by stratified random sampling and divided into two media groups. The statistical tests utilized are the independent and paired sample t-tests. The majority of responders were male (63%) and 11 years old (79.6%). The results showed that there were differences in the influence of nutrition education before and after being given crossword puzzles (p = 0.003) and animation video (p = 0.000) on balanced nutrition knowledge. The results also showed that there was no difference in the effectiveness of nutrition education between crossword puzzles and animated videos on balanced nutrition knowledge (p = 0.987). Crossword puzzles and animation videos have an impact for given balanced nutrition education on school-aged children. Animation videos is more effective in increasing balanced nutrition knowledge on school-age children compared to crossword puzzles. It is recommended that the government and schools implement nutrition education initiatives using engaging and entertaining media, such as animation videos.

Abstract

Adolescence requires adequate intake of nutrients to meet their nutritional status which can be seen from the food and the use of nutrients consumed in the body. Adolescent nutritional status can be influenced by various factors such as eating habits, exposure to social media, and also peers. Poor eating habits as well as social media exposure and peers influence play a role in unhealthy food choices and can increase the risk of overnutrition in adolescents. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between eating habits, social media exposure, and peers with the nutritional status of nutrition students UPN Veteran Jakarta. This study used a cross-sectional design which was taken with a stratified random sampling technique and sample with 117 respondents. Data was collected by filling out questionnaires and anthropometric measurements. Data processing using chi-square test. Based on the results of statistical tests, there is no relationship between eating habits and nutritional status (p-value = 0.148). There is a relationship between exposure to social media (p-value=0.037), peers (p-value=0.000) and nutritional status. Adolescents need to have a good friendship environment so that they can influence their behavior to be good, and can control time and be wisely in using social media. ABSTRAKMasa remaja memerlukan asupan zat gizi yang cukup dalam memenuhi status gizinya yang dapat dilihat dari makanan dan penggunaan zat gizi yang dikonsumi di dalam tubuh. Status gizi remaja dapat dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor seperti kebiasaan makan, paparan media sosial, dan juga teman sebaya. Kebiasaan makan yang buruk serta paparan media sosial dan peran teman sebaya dapat berperan dalam pemilihan makanan yang tidak sehat dan dapat menyebabkan meningkatkan risiko terjadinya gizi lebih pada remaja. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kebiasaan makan, paparan media sosial, dan teman sebaya dengan status gizi mahasiswa program studi gizi UPN Veteran Jakarta. Penelitian ini menggunakan desai studi cross sectional yang di ambil dengan teknik stratified random sampling dan sampel sebanyak 117 responden. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan melakukkan pengisian kuesioner dan pengukuran antropometri. Pengolahan data menggunakan uji chi-square. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik, tidak terdapat hubungan antara kebiasaan makan dengan status gizi (p-value=0,148). Terdapat hubungan antara paparan media sosial (p-value=0,037), teman sebaya (p-value=0,000) dengan status gizi. Remaja perlu memiliki lingkungan pertemanan baik agar dapat mempengaruhi perilaku menjadi baik pula, dan dapat mengontrol waktu dan bijak dalam penggunaan media sosial.

Abstract

Obesity is one of the nutritional problems in Indonesia. The prevalence of central obesity for the elderly in Indonesia is 18.8% in the 55-64 year age group, 23.1% in the 65-74 age group, 18.9% in the 65-74 age group, and the >75 year age group. 15.8%. This community service aims to reduce the prevalence of obesity through increasing pre-elderly and elderly knowledge about physical activity. The activity was carried out offline after routine elderly gymnastics activities on Friday morning at UPTD Cinere Health Center. The series of community service activities include opening, filling out pre-tests, giving booklets and material presentations, discussions, filling out post-tests and media feasibility tests, closing, and giving thanks. The results of the educational program intervention, the level of knowledge of the pre-elderly and the elderly regarding the knowledge of physical activity to control obesity increased based on the Wilcoxon test (p=0.000). and good (46.7%%) and after intervention (post-test): less (0%), sufficient (0%), and good (100%). The content validity test results using the Content Validity Ratio which includes coloring, typeface, font size, and pictures on the booklet are said to be valid because all items reach the critical value with 30 validators, namely 0.333. From that result, the media is said to be valid as an intervention medium in terms of presentation as material that can be implemented in people's daily lives, especially pre-elderly and elderly people in the UPTD Cinere Health Center ABSTRAK: Masalah gizi di Indonesia yang menjadi salah satu perhatian yaitu obesitas. Prevalensi obesitas sentral untuk lansia di Indonesia yaitu pada kelompok usia 55-64 tahun sebesar 18,8%, kelompok usia 65-74 sebesar 23,1%, kelompok usia 65-74 sebesar 18,9%, dan kelompok usia >75 tahun sebesar 15,8%. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk menurunkan prevalensi obesitas melalui peningkatan pengetahuan pra-lansia dan lansia mengenai aktivitas fisik. Kegiatan dilakukan secara luring setelah kegiatan senam lansia rutin hari Jumat pagi di UPTD Puskesmas Cinere. Rangkaian kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat meliputi pembukaan, pengisian pre-test, pemberian booklet dan pemaparan materi, tanya jawab, pengisian post-test dan uji kelayakan media, penutup, dan pemberian tanda terima kasih. Berdasarkan hasil intervensi program edukasi, tingkat pengetahuan pra-lansia dan lansia mengenai pengetahuan aktivitas fisik untuk mengendalikan obesitas meningkat dari nilai pre-test ke post-test berdasarkan uji Wilcoxon (p=0.000). Pengetahuan pra-lansia dan lansia mengenai aktivitas fisik pada pre-test: kurang (33,3%), cukup (20%) dan baik (46,7%%). Pengetahuan mengenai aktivitas fisik setelah intervensi (post-test): kurang (0%), cukup (0%) dan baik (100%). Hasil uji validitas konten menggunakan Content Validity Ratio yang meliputi pewarnaan, jenis huruf, ukuran huruf, dan gambar pada booklet dikatakan valid karena seluruh item memenuhi nilai kritis dengan validator berjumlah 30 orang yaitu 0,333 sehingga media dikatakan valid dari segi tampilan penyajian materi yang dapat diimplementasikan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat khususnya pra-lansia dan lansia di wilayah UPTD Kecamatan Cinere. Media booklet ini dapat dijadikan salah satu media yang dapay meningkatkan pengetahuan para pra lansia dan lansia sehingga pada akhirnya bisa menurunkan angka prevalensi obesitas.

Abstract

Malnutrition problem (under and over nutrition), known as the double burden of malnutrition, was a growing concern in developing countries, including Indonesia. The 2018 Indonesia Basic Health Survey noted a substantial increase in the proportion of these nutritional impairments. As a fundamental factor of malnutrition, nutritional knowledge was expected to be occupied not only by vulnerable groups. A transitional age group like youth, in this case undergraduate students, should also be on the radar since they carried a risk of malnutrition from adolescence into adulthood. This study aimed to assess the nutritional knowledge determinants among undergraduate students in Jakarta. This cross-sectional study was conducted among undergraduate students in Universitas Pembangunan Nasional Veteran Jakarta. The nutritional knowledge regarding the Indonesian Guideline for Balance Diet, as well as participants’ characteristics questionnaire, was self-administered online by 235 participants using Google Form. Chi-Square, Spearman’s rho, and logistics regression tests were used to analyze the data using statistical software. Students who participated in this study were primarily female, aged under 20 years, achieve a GPA above 3.50, and had normal BMI. The bivariate analysis reported a significant association between sex, study field, and parent’s income with nutrition knowledge level. Based on logistic regression, the odds of having an adequate nutrition knowledge level is about 2.76 times higher among students whose parents earned 3-5 million IDR per month than students whose parents earned less than 3 million or more than 5 million IDR. Undergraduate students were also a prominent target group to ensure nutritional knowledge occupancy since they may face adolescent nutritional problems and future risk of adult nutritional problems. This study is fostering targeted nutrition education for youth undergraduate students.

Abstract

Overnutrition among school-aged children increases substantially over the last decade. Among the direct causes of overweight/obesity is inadequate intake of fruit and vegetable. Prior studies have shown that fruit and vegetable (FV) is not merely the main source of vitamins andminerals, but also playing role on preventing weight gain through satiety regulation. This study aims to determine the association of FV consumption adequacy among 5-12 years schoolers and their overnutrition status. This cross-sectional study was conducted in Jakarta and Depok, carried out on 57 children who filled out an online questionnaire survey. Respondents’ characteristics were obtained through the self-administered online questionnaire. BMI for age z-score (BAZ) was calculated from the self-reported recall of body weight and height. The FV consumption was evaluated using the WHO STEP-wise questionnaire. Respondent’s characteristics were presented in frequency and percentage, while association test was done using Fisher Exact test (CI 95%). In this study, 40,4% of children were overweight and most children did not consume adequate portions of fruit and vegetable (73,7% and 57,9%, respectively). There are no significant association between FV consumption and children’s overnutrition (p= 0,171 and p= 0,788, respectively; CI 95%). Overall, a high proportion of children overnutrition was observed. However, there is no significant association was found between fruit and vegetable consumption and children’s overnutrition. There is a need for specific regulations and practices that may engage children in consuming fruit and vegetable on the daily basis.
