Abstract

Urban Green Open Space/Ruang Terbuka Hijau Kawasan Perkotaan (RTHKP) is an essential part of the urban population ecosystem, one of which is the City of Bandung. One of the uses of RTHKP is as a city park, an alternative for tourist activities. This study aims to evaluate the use of City Parks as one of the RTHKP assets by understanding the perceptions and activity preferences of residents of Greater Bandung (Bandung City, Bandung Regency, West Bandung Regency, Cimahi) related to city parks in Bandung City. This research uses quantitative methods with descriptive analysis to understand perceptions and preferences as well as regression and correlation analysis to understand the relationship between the two variables. Two hundred sixty-five resident respondents who have visited one of the eleven city parks in Bandung City have completed the questionnaire. The result is that the City Park aspect in Bandung City can be a place for recreation and a children's playground that gets the highest score for perceptions and willingness to use public transportation, and the safety aspect still needs to be considered. Meanwhile, for activity preferences in city parks in Bandung City, the highest position is a place for refreshing, recreation and sports, and the lowest is for socialising and inviting children to play. There is a significant relationship between the perceptions and preferences of residents of Greater Bandung, especially for recreational and refreshing activities.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate visitors' assessments of urban green open spaces based on the Homo Urbanicus theory, encompassing the dimensions of people, opportunity, event, and space. Using data from 178 respondents visiting green open spaces (GOS) in Bandung, the analysis was conducted using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The findings indicate that both male and female visitors generally perceive the provision of primary and supporting facilities in GOS similarly. They equally recognize these facilities as essential without distinguishing between genders. However, concerning comfort, perceptions of primary and supporting facilities differ based on gender. Therefore, park management should design primary and supporting facilities to function generically for both men and women while differentiating comfort elements based on gender-specific preferences.

Abstract

Entrepreneurial intention among vocational tourism students has emerged as a critical focus in promoting job creation and self-employment in the creative economy sector. This study aims to examine the direct effects of entrepreneurial education, learning experience, industry openness, and digital efficacy on students' entrepreneurial intention while also evaluating the psychological roles of self-efficacy and attitude toward entrepreneurship. Employing a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS), data were collected from 278 vocational tourism students in Indonesia through an online survey. The results indicate that entrepreneurial education significantly influences both self-efficacy and entrepreneurial attitude. Learning experience positively impacts self-efficacy, while industry openness demonstrates a strong direct effect on entrepreneurial intention. Digital efficacy does not directly affect self-efficacy or intention but contributes positively to entrepreneurial attitude. Conversely, self-efficacy does not have a significant direct effect on intention, whereas attitude toward entrepreneurship does. These findings extend the application of the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) by integrating contextual factors related to vocational education and provide strategic insights for curriculum designers and policymakers aiming to enhance the entrepreneurial capacity of vocational tourism institutions.
