Abstract

Security officers require good physical fitness to perform their duties effectively. Maintaining this level of fitness often involves structured exercise programs that consider the frequency, intensity, duration, and type of activity. This study aims to examine the relationship between a structured physical exercise program, individual factors, and work-related factors on the physical fitness of security officers. This study was conducted in July 2023 and utilized company program data from March to June 2023, focusing on 67 security officers at PT X. Physical fitness data was collected using the Cooper test method and analyzed using SPSS. Data normality was assessed using the skewness/standard error method, with values <2 considered normally distributed. A paired sample t-test revealed a significant relationship between Cooper test distances before and after participation in the structured exercise program (p<0.001). Further analysis demonstrated relationships between changes in physical fitness and several factors: work fatigue (p<0.001), work stress dimensions (specifically work overload, role conflict, quantitative and qualitative workload excess, career development, and responsibility to others, all with p<0.014), and sleep quality (p<0.001). The coefficient of determination (r2) was 0.496, indicating that work fatigue, role conflict, and sleep quality collectively explain 49.6% of the variance in physical fitness changes. The remaining variance is likely influenced by factors not included in the model. Multivariate analysis confirmed that work fatigue (p<0.001), role conflict (p=0.036), and sleep quality (p=0.015) were predictors of changes in physical fitness. In conclusion, a structured physical exercise program has a positive influence on the physical fitness of security officers. Furthermore, work fatigue, work stress (particularly role conflict), and sleep quality are associated with changes in physical fitness among these officers.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Preclinical medical students have a big role as agents of change to raise awareness of the pandemic caused by Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection in family, friends, and society. This study aims to determine the final stage of preclinical medical students' knowledge, attitudes, and practices (KAP) toward COVID-19 infection. This study used a cross-sectional method that was conducted on 213 final-stage preclinical medical students in a public university in Depok, Indonesia using an online validated KAP Questionnaire that measures age, gender, domicile, class, and level of KAP toward COVID-19 infection. Data were analyzed using SPSS 21. The p-value <0.05 indicates statistical significance. The result KAP of students toward COVID-19 infection showed a good level of knowledge (73.7%), positive attitude (96.2%), and positive Practice (83.6). %). There was no relationship between the level of knowledge and attitudes toward COVID-19 infection because a p-value of 0.211 (p >0.05) was obtained. Meanwhile, there was a relationship between the level of knowledge and practice toward COVID-19 infection with a p-value = 0.044 (p <0.05). The results revealed that the majority of preclinical medical students had favorable attitudes, had adequate knowledge of COVID-19, and used effective practices to stop the transmission of the disease.

Abstract

Digital political campaigns have become a key phenomenon in contemporary politics. They significantly transform the patterns of communication between political parties, candidates, and voters. This study aims to analyze the development, dynamics, and implications of digital political campaigns on voter behavior as well as political communication strategies in the era of information technology. Using a qualitative approach through literature review of scholarly articles, the results show that digital political campaigns offer high efficiency in reaching a broad audience and enable the personalization of messages based on big data and predictive analytics. However, this practice also brings new challenges, such as the spread of disinformation, political polarization, and manipulation of public opinion. This method employs a qualitative literature review of peer-reviewed studies (2020–2025) and, where relevant, clarifies the analytical lens used, such as thematic or categorical analysis. This approach enhances methodological transparency without adding excessive length. These findings affirm that digital transformation in political campaigns is not merely a change in medium, but also a paradigm shift in political communication. Therefore, transparent digital governance, adaptive regulation, and political digital literacy for society are essential to ensure that digital political campaigns are conducted ethically and strengthen democratic values.
