Abstract

Islamic character education plays a crucial role in shaping the noble morals and personality of students, particularly in vocational schools. The cultivation of moral, ethical, and cultural values based on Islamic teachings is an effective approach to strengthening student character education. This study aims to examine the application of the concept of moral, ethical, and cultural cultivation in reinforcing Islamic character education at SMK Jamiyyatul Aulad. A qualitative approach with an analytical descriptive method was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using thematic analysis. The results of this study indicate that integrating Islamic moral and ethical cultivation into both learning and extracurricular activities enhances students' awareness of the importance of good morals, discipline, responsibility and mutual respect. Islamic culture, reinforced through daily practices such as congregational prayers (salah), dhuha prayers and social activities, further strengthens the implementation of character education at the school. This study concludes that by integrating Islamic values into the curriculum, exemplifying these values through teachers, habituating religious activities, and involving parents and the community, students can internalize and practice Islamic moral, ethical, and cultural values in their daily lives, thereby enhancing their overall well-being.

Abstract

The global environmental crisis highlights the need for educational institu tions, including Islamic education, to cultivate ecological awareness among younger generations. However, existing Islamic education curricula often emphasize doctrinal and cognitive aspects while lacking structured eco theological integration. This study addresses this gap by examining how Green Islamic Education can be embedded within the curriculum to shape an ecotheological generation at SMPIT Sahabat Alam Pelabuhanratu, Sukabumi. Using a qualitative case study design, the research draws on curriculum documents, concepts of Islamic ecotheology, and observations of environmentally oriented educational practices. Data were analyzed through content analysis to identify patterns of value integration and pedagogical implementation. The findings indicate that incorporating the values of tawhid, khilafah, amanah, and masuliyyah into the curriculum fosters environmental care as a form of worship and spiritual responsibility. Studi ini mengisi kesenjangan tersebut dengan mengkaji bagaimana Green Islamic Education dapat diintegrasikan ke dalam kurikulum untuk membentuk generasi ekoteologis di SMPIT Sahabat Alam Pelabuhanratu, Sukabumi. Menggunakan desain studi kasus kualitatif, penelitian ini memanfaatkan dokumen kurikulum, konsep ekoteologi Islam, serta observasi praktik pendidikan berorientasi lingkungan. Data dianalisis melalui teknik analisis konten untuk mengidentifikasi pola integrasi nilai dan implementasi pedagogis. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pengintegrasian nilai tauhid, khilafah, amanah, dan masuliyyah dalam struktur kurikulum mampu menumbuhkan kepedulian lingkungan sebagai bentuk ibadah dan tanggung jawab spiritual. Abstract

This study aims to analyze and develop a contextual curriculum design in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) oriented to the mastery of spiritual science Generation Z students in SMP IT Sahabat Alam. Generation Z, often characterized as a highly digital generation, faces distinctive challenges related to spirituality, including issues of religiosity, technology integration, and identity formation. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews with PAI teachers and students, and analyses of curriculum documents and instructional materials. The findings indicate that the contextual PAI curriculum design aligns learning materials with students’ everyday realities, thereby enhancing the relevance, applicability, and depth of their understanding. The integration of environmental issues, digital technology, and contemporary social dynamics into PAI content contributes to strengthening students’ spiritual values within their present context. Furthermore, the use of reflection-based learning strategies, open discussions, and integrated social projects proved effective in cultivating spiritual awareness that is adaptive and resilient to external influences. This study highlights the importance of developing a context-based PAI curriculum as a strategic response to the demands of 21st-century education, particularly for Generation Z learners who inhabit an increasingly digital and pluralistic environment

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of interactive learning methods based on Islamic values in improving the understanding of noble character among fifth-grade students at MI Al Hasanah, with a focus on the values of honesty, responsibility, and politeness. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews with 20 students and three teachers, and analysis of learning documents. Data triangulation and thematic analysis based on Miles and Huberman (1994) were conducted to ensure validity. The results showed that interactive methods, such as group discussions, inspirational stories, and Quran-based simulations, increased student engagement by 90% and moral understanding scores from 65 to 82. Ninety percent of students demonstrated positive behavioral changes, with a 60% reduction in inter-student conflicts. Teacher training was identified as a key factor in the success of this method. The study concluded that this method is effective in shaping student character, with recommendations for developing instructional guidelines and teacher training for sustainability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah pada anak usia 5-6 tahun di PAUD TP Sepetik Bunga Desa Ridogalih menggunakan alat permainan edukatif papan pintar hijaiyah. Fokus penelitian mencakup membaca huruf secara acak dan membedakan huruf-huruf yang serupa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif dengan 20 anak sebagai subyek, terdiri dari 10 perempuan dan 10 laki-laki. Alat permainan edukatif papan pintar hijaiyah digunakan sebagai obyek penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan tes, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Keberhasilan ditentukan jika kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah anak dengan kategori baik mencapai persentase minimal 86%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca huruf hijaiyah dapat ditingkatkan melalui alat permainan edukatif papan pintar hijaiyah. Langkah-langkah melibatkan persiapan media dan item-itemnya, memberikan contoh penggunaan alat permainan, membaca bersama menggunakan papan pintar hijaiyah, memberikan anak kesempatan membaca sendiri, terutama pada yang masih kesulitan, serta memberikan motivasi dan pendampingan guru. Peningkatan terlihat dari perubahan kriteria berkembang sangat baik, yaitu dari 5% pada pra-tindakan, naik menjadi 40% pada Siklus I, dan mencapai 90% pada Siklus II.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pentingnya meningkatan percaya diri anak melalui penerapan metode bercerita sebagai pendekatan edukatif. Dalam pengalaman praktis, mungkin terlihat bahwa sebagian anak kurang percaya diri dalam berbicara di depan kelompok atau mengungkapkan pendapat mereka. Metode bercerita dapat menjadi sarana yang efektif untuk mengatasi tantangan ini dengan menciptakan kesempatan bagi anak untuk berbicara tanpa rasa takut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan percaya diri anak melalui penerapan metode bercerita pada kelompok B TK Mutiara Bahari Palabuhanratu, Sukabumi. Metode bercerita dipilih karena dapat menciptakan suasana yang menyenangkan dan interaktif, sehingga anak-anak lebih berani berpartisipasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif dengan 15 anak sebagai subyek. Fokus penelitian pada kegiatan bercerita yang diterapkan secara rutin diajak mendengarkan cerita, berdiskusi, dan berbagi pengalaman. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif untuk mengidentifikasi pola dan perubahan dalam percaya diri anak. Setiap siklus diakhiri dengan refleksi dan evaluasi untuk menilai efektivitas metode yang diterapkan, sehingga diharapkan dapat memberikan gambaran yang jelas tentang dampak metode bercerita terhadap perkembangan percaya diri anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode bercerita secara signifikan meningkatkan tingkat percaya diri anak. Anak-anak mulai aktif berinteraksi, berbagi pendapat, dan menceritakan pengalaman mereka sendiri. Selain itu, lingkungan yang suportif dan kolaboratif dalam kegiatan bercerita turut berperan dalam membangun rasa percaya diri. Karena itu, metode bercerita efektif dalam meningkatkan percaya diri anak, yang diharapkan dapat diterapkan secara lebih luas dalam pendidikan anak usia dini.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in fostering religious tolerance among students at SMKN 1 Palabuhanratu. In the context of Indonesia's multicultural and multireligious society, the role of PAI teachers is crucial in instilling the values of moderate Islam (wasathiyah), which emphasizes respect for diversity. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using data collection techniques such as observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with three Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers and ten students. The findings reveal that PAI teachers perform four main roles: as demonstrators, classroom managers, facilitators, and mediators. They serve as role models in tolerant behavior, create inclusive classroom environments, facilitate interfaith discussions, and address potential conflicts through dialogic and solution-oriented approaches. The teaching practices implemented include group discussions, case studies, interfaith activities, and the use of contextual learning media related to diversity issues. Teachers also collaborate with parents and interfaith leaders to extend the reach of character education promoting tolerance beyond the school setting. These findings affirm that religious education grounded in universal human values can serve as an effective instrument in shaping open-minded individuals able to live harmoniously in a pluralistic society. Therefore, strengthening the competencies of PAI teachers and adopting multicultural approaches in education are key to fostering social cohesion and peace amid Indonesia's diversity.

Abstract

Improving teacher performance remains a critical challenge in Islamic secondary education, particularly in relation to organizational conditions that shape professional behavior and instructional effectiveness. This study investigated the extent to which organizational justice and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) jointly influenced teacher performance in State Islamic Senior High Schools (Madrasah Aliyah Negeri) in Sumedang Regency. Employing a quantitative research design, data were collected from MAN teachers and analyzed using inferential statistical techniques, including simultaneous F-tests and coefficients of determination. The results demonstrated that organizational justice and OCB exerted a significant positive influence on teacher performance (F = 48.457; p < 0.001), accounting for 57.7% of the variance. Among performance indicators, timeliness emerged as the strongest con tributor, reflecting a culture of discipline, while the quantity of work indicated areas requiring institutional improvement. Beyond confirming established theories of organizational behavior theories, the findings highlighted the contextual importance of integrating Islamic ethical values, such as amanah (trustworthiness), ukhuwah (brotherhood), and ihsan (excellence), into madrasah governance. By aligning fair organizational structures with value-based voluntary behavior, this study offers an empirically grounded and culturally embedded perspective for strengthening teacher performance and advancing sustainable educational quality in Islamic schooling contexts.
