Abstract

This study examines the integration of Christian education and pastoral care as a trauma recovery model for natural disaster victims in Indonesia. Natural disasters frequently occurring in Indonesia create complex trauma affecting spiritual, psychological, and social dimensions of survivors. This research identifies a critical gap between traditional Christian education approaches and the urgent need for trauma-informed pastoral accompaniment in disaster contexts. Using qualitative theological methods and literature review from reputable theological journals and books, this study proposes a holistic model integrating pastoral counseling principles with Christian educational practices. The findings suggest that trauma-informed Christian education, grounded in theological understanding of suffering and grace, provides meaningful pathways for spiritual resilience and communal healing. This model emphasizes Holy Saturday theology, presence-based ministry, and contextualized pedagogical approaches that honor survivors' traumatic experiences while fostering hope and transformation.   Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji integrasi pendidikan agama Kristen dan pendampingan pastoral sebagai model pemulihan trauma bagi korban bencana alam di Indonesia. Bencana alam yang sering terjadi di Indonesia menciptakan trauma kompleks yang memengaruhi dimensi spiritual, psikologis, dan sosial para penyintas. Riset ini mengidentifikasi kesenjangan kritis antara pendekatan pendidikan agama Kristen tradisional dan kebutuhan mendesak akan pendampingan pastoral yang sadar-trauma dalam konteks bencana. Menggunakan metode teologis kualitatif dan tinjauan literatur dari buku-buku dan artikel-artikel jurnal teologi bereputasi, studi ini mengusulkan model holistik yang mengintegrasikan prinsip konseling pastoral dengan praktik pendidikan Kristen. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan agama Kristen yang sadar-trauma, berdasarkan pemahaman teologis tentang penderitaan dan kasih karunia, menyediakan jalur bermakna untuk resiliensi spiritual dan pemulihan komunal. Model ini menekankan teologi Sabtu Suci, pelayanan berbasis kehadiran, dan pendekatan pedagogis kontekstual yang menghormati pengalaman traumatis penyintas sambil memupuk harapan dan transformasi.

Abstract

Abstract Current technological advances have changed the way humans communicate and live their lives. Including in Christian mission services. This article discusses how digitalization is a great opportunity for Christians to live out the calling of the Great Commission to preach the gospel to all nations. Through social media, online broadcasts, digital platforms, the gospel can be delivered to everyone without being limited by geography anymore. There is also a great opportunity to reach various groups from different backgrounds, even those who are difficult to reach physically. However, there are challenges such as hoaxes, digital culture that encourages personal popularity, floods of information, and the dangers of false teachings that can cloud the faith of believers. Therefore, there needs to be responsibility and wisdom when conveying the good news by using or utilizing digital platforms.   Abstrak Kemajuan teknologi saat ini telah mengubah cara manusia berkomunikasi dan menjalani hidup. Termasuk dalam pelayanan misi Kristen. Artikel ini membahas bagaimana digitalisasi menjadi peluang yang besar bagi umat Kristen dalam menghidupi panggilan Amanat Agung unutk memberitakan injil kepada segala bangsa. Melalui media sosial, siaran daring, platform digital injil itu dapat disampaikan kepada semua orang tanpa dibatasi dengan geografis lagi. Kesempatan yang besar juga unutk menjangkau berbagai kalangan dari latar belakang yang berbeda-beda bahkan bagi mereka yang sulit dijangkau secara fisik. Namun demikian ada tantangan seperti hoaks, budaya digital yang mendorong popularitas pribadi, banjir informasi, hingga bahaya ajaran sesat yang dapat mengaburkan iman orang percaya. Oleh sebab itu perlu adanya tanggung jawab dan bijaksana ketika menyampaikan kabar baik itu dengan menggunakan atau memanfaatkan platform digital.

Abstract

The purpose of this literature research is to find out the role of confession as a means of pastoral counseling for prisoners based on Psalm 51:1-21. Researchers used literature research along with historical critical studies on texts. Based on the results of the research, Psalm 51:1-21 is a form of self-expression for a person or even a group of people who are aware, admit, and regret their sins and in this case Psalm 51:1-21 can be a means of pastoral counseling in bringing prisoners to living in confession, awareness, and regret for sins that have been committed so that holistic healing slowly begins to be experienced both physically, mentally, socially, psychologically, and spiritually. And also based on the results of the discussion of this research there is a function of pastoral counseling including the function of reconciling, sustaining, strengthening and empowering.

Abstract

Divorce is something that is contrary to the teachings of the Bible, but in almost every church there are cases of divorce that occur. Divorce creates problems in the life of the congregation and if not handled well it will have negative impacts. The church needs to highlight the problem of divorce and find solutions to address existing problems, for example by providing pastoral counseling services to congregation members who have divorced. Women are still often considered as weak figures and are often victims in the household, there are many women who receive inappropriate treatment and become victims of violence. Pastoral counseling services can be used as a tool that can help churches provide assistance to congregations who are in trouble.

Abstract

Specialized waiters often face emotional and mental stress that can interfere with their health and the quality of service. Using cognitive restructuring techniques, this counseling aims to help the maids recognize and change their negative mindsets. Through the process of identifying, evaluating, and replacing negative thoughts with positive thoughts, servants are expected to improve their mental well-being. This study uses a qualitative method with in-depth interviews to explore the experience of servants in counseling. The results showed that this technique was effective in reducing stress and increasing the confidence of the servants, which in turn had a positive impact on their service to the congregation. These findings highlight the importance of counseling support for special caregivers in maintaining their mental and spiritual health.

Abstract

Identity crisis among youth is a complex challenge where individuals struggle to find their identity and meaning in life. This article discusses the importance of support from counselors, communities, and parents in helping adolescents face this crisis. Through a qualitative approach, this research explores the role of pastoral counselors in providing spiritual and emotional guidance, as well as effective counseling techniques such as faith-based cognitive-behavioral therapy and spiritual meditation. Furthermore, the article highlights the significance of collaboration among various parties to create a safe and supportive environment while providing the necessary resources for youth. Thus, this collective support is expected to empower young people in their search for spiritual meaning and life purpose.

Abstract

The Minahasa community is known for its fondness for singing or vocal music. The song that has become the identity of the Minahasa community is known as Ma'kaaruyen. This research explores how the Minahasa community's way of life is interpreted through the song Ma'kaaruyen; a traditional musical artwork originating from Minahasa. Ma'kaaruyen is assumed to be one of the arts that reflects the life of the Minahasa community. Through a qualitative descriptive approach and analysis of the text found in the Ma'kaaruyen song, it was found that it contains meanings that integrate with the values of the Minahasa community's way of life. The musical elements in Ma'kaaruyen reflect the character and nature of traditional Minahasa society, which are associated with simplicity, tranquility, gentleness, cooperation (mapalus), and a loving attitude towards others. The extramusical meaning of Ma'kaaruyen from its lyrics is that Ma'kaaruyen is a song that conveys religious messages, advice, love, and expressions of the heart (lamentation and regret). Thus, the Ma'kaaruyen song has a reconciling function, which includes four main aspects of living in peace: a) reconciling with Allah, b) reconciling with oneself, c) reconciling with fellow human beings, and d) reconciling with the environment.

Abstract

The results of this research show that counselor training significantly increases participants' knowledge regarding the principles of pastoral counseling, listening skills, empathetic attitudes and the ability to apply pastoral counseling methods and techniques in real situations. Apart from that, this program was also successful in raising participants' awareness of the importance of a holistic approach in serving the congregation which considers physical, mental, social and spiritual aspects. The results and conclusions of this research state that counselor training is a vital step forward in efforts to improve the quality of congregational services, providing a stronger foundation for counselors to support congregation members in life's challenges with a quality faith perspective. Abstract

The implementation of Real Work Lecture in East Koha Village, Mandolang District was attented by 14 students active at the Manado State Christian Institute. Whitin a period of one month, KKN students saw serious environmentak problems in East Koha village. The accumulation of rubbish that occurred everywhere caused inconvenience to the community in preparing this article, KKN is based on the form of community service in the preparation of this article using descriptive analisys qualitative research methods by collecting data from observations, interviews and documentation. Seeing the existing situation, KKN students held a main program regarding environmental celanliness in East Koha village by conducting outreach to the heads of guards regarding the importance of keeping the sorrounding environment clean. Meanwhile, KKN students also distributed emergency trash cans with waste classification at every waste accumulation point ih the hope of increasing awareness community and reduce the accumulation of waste in East Koha village.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan iman jemaat di GMIST Jemaat Wori. Fokus utama penelitian adalah menemukan metode pastoral yang efektif untuk membangun iman yang dewasa melalui pengajaran, pendampingan spiritual, dan pembinaan komunitas. Data yang diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan penelitian literatur terkait dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan pastoral yang berbasis relasi personal, pemuridan yang konsisten, dan penguatan prinsip Alkitabiah dalam kehidupan sehari-hari memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan iman jemaat. Hasilnya memberikan saran praktis bagi pemimpin gereja untuk mengembangkan pelayanan yang lebih relevan dan kontekstual untuk memenuhi kebutuhan jemaat di GMIST Jemaat Wori.
