Abstract

Irritant Contact Dermatitis (ICD) is a skin health problem often experienced by scavengers due to continuous exposure to irritant substances without adequate protection. This condition can disrupt work activities and have long-term health impacts. This study aims to determine the risk factors for irritant contact dermatitis in scavengers in Terjun Village. The study used a descriptive method with a cross-sectional approach and was conducted in Terjun Village, Hamparan Perak District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, from November 2024–January 2025. The sampling technique used total sampling with a total of 58 respondents. Data analysis was performed univariately. The results showed that most respondents were aged <45 years (50%), male (58.6%), and had low education (51.7%). The majority of respondents did not comply with using personal protective equipment (PPE) (65.5%) and had poor personal hygiene (63.8%). The incidence of irritant contact dermatitis was found in 65.5% of respondents. The conclusion of this study shows that the high incidence of DKI in scavengers is related to low compliance with the use of PPE and poor personal hygiene.

Abstract

Stock prices are one of the important indicators for investors because they reflect the company's current performance as well as future prospects, and are the main consideration in investment decisions. Private banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020–2024 period have fluctuating share prices and some tend to decline. This condition is influenced by many factors, both internal and external. Therefore, this study aims to know, explain, and analyze the influence of Return on Equity and Debt to Equity Ratio on stock prices in the private banking sector that are consistently listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2020– 2024 period. This study uses a quantitative approach with a population of 36 companies and a sample of 25 companies selected through purposive sampling. The analysis method used was multiple linear regression with the help of the EViews 12 program. The results of the study show that partially Return on Equity has a significant positive effect on stock prices with a partial determination coefficient of 56.73%, while the Debt to Equity Ratio has a negative effect of insignificant with a partial determination coefficient of 0.49%. Simultaneously, Return on Equity and Debt to Equity have a significant effect on the stock price with an Adjusted R- Square value of 58.29%, which means that the two variables are able to explain the variation in stock prices together. The novelty of this research is the use of the latest period until 2024 which provides a more up-to-date picture of the performance of private banking in Indonesia.

Abstract

Harmonic content is an important parameter in relation to the power generated by inverter. In power conversion technology of inverter, sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) is the most popular used by many researchers. The advantages of SPWM inverter operation as a conversion technique compared to other inverter types can be seen from the low harmonic distortion in the output voltage of inverter. Therefore, the SPWM signal generation process becomes a determining factor for the performance of the overall system. This paper present the method for selecting the modulation index (ma) and frequency ratio (mf) using Cubic Spline Interpolation to get minimum harmonic of SPWM inverter that generated. Both parameters controlled with varied values digitally using microcontroller to generate SPWM, then the output of inverter with and without LC filter was investigated. The results show that the use of Cubic Spline Interpolation method in the selection of ma and mf precisely managed to produce SPWM inverter with minimum harmonic content. At the inverter output, the use of LC filter is not only useful for converting SPWM signals to sinusoidal waveforms but can also reduce harmonic content significantly less than 3 %.
