Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) have a huge effect on the economy and empowerment of labor in Indonesia. This is proven by the number of GDP produced by 56.5 % and labor absorption up to 97 % (Yoga; 2011). Nevertheless, the development of SMEs is still hampered by the lack of market knowledge and information. Currently, the information obtained was limited to the number of SME’s sales and earnings based on recap of transactions. SMEs can’t get information about sales trend to find out the products being in demand, current stock information to determine reorder time to supplier, transaction history of customers and suppliers to find out their main customer and supplier. This information is needed by management to make a business decision. From all problems above, the authors will make a sales information system to record sales transactions and generate reports of sales trends, current stock and transaction history of customers and suppliers. The sales information system use cloud computing technology so that SMEs do not have to provide a huge investment to purchase their own infrastructure and maintenance costs. The system can also be accessed anytime and anywhere through the internet. Thus, the management can get sales information wherever they are, and decision making can be helped by current information produced by the system. Abstract

Abstract: Scout Movement is a non-governmental agencies, which seeks to help the government and the community, in the community and nation building, especially in the field of education. One of the important activities of the scout is to memorize codes or commonly known by the code name. This time to learn the password scouts still use regular tutorial guide book as a paperback book and Skills General Terms books (SKU) causing lazy Elementary School students learn the password because scouts tend to get bored. To overcome this, the rapid development of technology by utilizing smartphones in independent learning, and multimedia facilities that can remove images, audio and animation, then the password scout learning application created as an application that can be used to perform the learning process in memorizing passwords scout syringe morse key feature and slideshow images semaphore. Learning application scouts password has been tested to 10 users with an average value of the application user satisfaction of 3.14 which indicates that the application of user interest is good. This application can be run on android 2.3.7 and minimal static, where the data does not change according to the provisions scout international Morse code and semaphore signals. Abstract

Abstract: PT. Merpati Wahana Taksi is a company that is under the auspices of the Bosowa Group, is engaged in transportation services (taxis), operating around the city of Surabaya, Sidoarjo and Gresik. The taxi driver is a major support for the movement of human resources activities for the company because they are the majority of the company´s revenue can be obtained. Then to improve the quality of the taxi drivers do a performance assessment so we can know exactly how much performance and the performance achieved by each driver. A taxi driver performance appraisal system that objective needs to be developed in PT. Merpati Wahana Taksi to answer the problems that occurred in the performance appraisal process for this. This final project aims to implement an information system that can help in an employee performance appraisal process. Information systems performance assessment taxi driver who applied using the scoring system method aims to help companies in the process of the taxi driver performance appraisal. Based on extensive research and trials against the taxi driver performance appraisal data, show that the system can help the driver management in conducting employee performance appraisal process quickly and effectively. The system can also be used as a reference driver management in granting promotion / relegation and incentives. Abstract

Javanese script as one of Indonesian cultural heritage is increasingly abandoned. Elementary school students who are still learning and still having trouble considered less interest to learn java script. Many factors are influence, one of which is media literacy learning Java is less interesting. With the progress of time learning media can be presented on a mobile device. Android is a mobile operating system that can bring about change in the areas of learning. With a variety of features as well as the support provided, many learning applications that can be produced and development of Android. Therefore the author would like also to create an application-based learning android javanese script. Based on the resulting system and a series of trials that have been done, this system will be used to write the script and check the truth writing with the help of an Application Programming Interface (API) Gesture. Besides that, application can be used to introduce the characters, convert the latin letters to javanese script with the help of java script font hanacaraka. With a variety of features in it would be very helpful users are still difficult to learn javanese script.

Abstract

Abstract: Effort estimation using Use Case Point (UCP) method obtained from the multiplication of the UCP with the Effort Rate (ER). Some studies conclude that there is some value of ER used in the calculation of effort estimation. However, the most often used is the ER with value 20 man-hours given by Karner. Disputes about the research that is ER by Karner occurred in 1993, so it is possible that the ER by Karner not suitable when applied in the calculation of effort estimation for the project worked on in 2013 and the years to come. This study used 8 data of governance website software development projects. The data is used to calculate actual effort, making use case diagrams, and calculations UCP estimation. Further level of analysis that is performed correlation and regression equations for actual effort and the UCP estimation. Based on the regression equation then performed calculations tangent θ to produce the ER. From this research produced the ER as big as 5,178 man-hours. The ER is much smaller than the value given by Karner ER. Case is possible for several reasons, among others: 1) Enginering software technology that is growing rapidly. 2) Manufacturing website using components. 3) Source of the internet so complete. Abstract

Library is one of the information center , a source of knowledge and research . Library resources into place so that it can be enjoyed by many people . In a library has several processes performed one of the process is the process of returning books . In the book return process is happening right now in general are using barcode technology, barcode using the technique to facilitate the inventory record books that are in the library. At this time the library has a limited operating hours , with limited operating hours of the library can inhibit the process of returning books during the operating hours of the library was closed . to overcome these problems the need for application of automatic book return . By using the automatic book return the application process of the return of the book can be done without having to see the operating hours of the library . In the automatic book return applications can take advantage of the technological innovation that is image processing . One method of image processing is segmentation , segmentation using the technology of the book cover objects within an image can be distinguished anatara with each other .

Abstract

The development of computer network technology is currently growing exponentially along with the increasing users who make use of digital content in support of mobility. For that pupose, a provider requires a storage server which provides space for storing the digital content. Network Attach Storage (NAS) is a technology that is commonly used as a storage system. It considers to be cheap and easy for implementation. This is mainly because it can be implemented in the condition of minimal resources. On the other hand, this technology is mainly running on the open source operating system, like FreeNAS and NAS4Free This paper will discuss the performance comparation between FreeNAS and NAS4Free network operating system to analize the main activity of the storage servers, i.e. data transfer, file maintenance, and the network infrastucture. In this testing process, we used windows based file sharing common internet file system (CIFS). Parameter that are involved in the analysis are delay/latency, throughput, CPU usage, memory usage, file copy, file classification, duplicate files detection and file delete on 11 different file sizes. Based on the experiment, it is concluded thats FreeNAS operating system in general shows better performance compared to the NAS4Free. However the NAS4Free requires higher CPU usage compared to the NAS4Free.

Abstract

Abstract : PLN area of West Surabaya (SBB) has a method called Operational Performance Improvement (OPI). OPI SBB currently run manually using paper and Microsoft Excel. In carrying out this activity, PLN SBB having some problems such as : the use of manual and EMI Survey still at risk for the resulting value of the indicator, the status of workplan activities are presented in Microsoft Excel is static and can not provide actual information, and the lack of information needed by managers to monitor the development of the initiative.To overcome some of these constraints, an application named OPTIMUS + is built. OPTIMUS+ has some functions : module EMI Surveys Online, Diagnose, Design, and Deliver all activities OPI. In addition to overcoming some of these problems, OPTIMUS + built in order to obtain the required output, such as recapitulation EMI Survey, EMI Survey graphs, workplan activity status information, and summary of workplan activities via the website and Short Message Service (SMS).OPTIMUS + can assist the implementation of the OPI to be maximal activity by discouraging risk of existing constraints and provide the advantage of ease in obtaining the required output.Keywords : Operational Performance Improvemance (OPI), OPTIMUS+, Website.

Abstract

  Microsoft released a sensor called Kinect, a gaming control functions as an alternative in which the user can move freely to use his body when interacting with virtual menu or playing games. One example of Kinect Sports : Boxing, the game is not including the measurement display of speed and power punches.Based on the existing problems then will be proposed for an application that can calculate the speed and power of a punch using Kinect sensor technology , Calculation of speed and power punches using a series of formulas to calculate the speed and kinetic energy . Then the value resulting from the calculation become performance parameters during training session , and then the value of the performance will be made by comparing each rank highest value that has been created in the previous exercise in order to found a new highest score .Based on the results of this research and by making use of Kinect technology that jab punch force can be measure from its velocity and energy , to then be used as an assessment of the exercise that has been carried out . But Kinect technology itself still has limited movement in the form of respite captured by the sensor and there is noise in the depth-sensor .

Abstract

Department of Transportation Surabaya as government agencies engaged in public transport infrastructure where one job is to perform maintenance of traffic signs. Department of Transportation has set the traffic rules, which serve as the priority areas of infrastructure that is always monitored and rider behavior. Traffic signs are essential elements as information for road users in particular are driver of the motor vehicles. But in data collection and maintenance of the signs are so many rely on the Department of Transportation map and user manual files are marked. While the survey carried signs that can not run optimally. Sign repair history is not well documented, making pegawasan not go well. In addition the Department of Transportation already has a data GPS (Global Positioning System) location of signs, but only documented. Based on the above problems, we need an application that can handle the problems experienced by the Department of Transportation. The application in which consists of digital maps, survey schedule, handling and repair history. Digital maps are used to display the location of signs, schedule a survey for the survey beacon scheduling, handling repairs to display signs that have been surveyed and showing signs that have changed history. The results of the application that was created to assist the Department of Transportation in addressing the digital signs pointing the location, survey schedule for regular maintenance occurs, the results of the survey is expected to more quickly and may show signs of history.
