Abstract

Evonik Indonesia is a company located in the Jababeka 1 Industrial Estate which focuses its activities on the manufacture of chemicals, especially hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). PT. Evonik Indonesia in addition to producing H2O2 also produces waste or waste. One of the wastes produced is liquid waste containing H2O2, organic substances and dissolved solids. In order for the liquid waste produced to meet the quality standards that have been set, it is necessary to treat the liquid waste. Waste treatment is carried out physically and chemically with the aim of neutralizing acid and alkaline waste, assisting the sludge separation process, separating dissolved solids, reducing oil concentration, increasing flotation and sedimentation efficiency and oxidizing colors and toxic substances. The method used in this research is an observational survey with a descriptive approach where the results of the observations state that the results of waste treatment at PT. Abstract

Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant has an important role in the treatment of sewage waste to reduce the burden of pollutants, especially fecal coliforms in sewage waste. Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant is part of a local on site system or a decentralized system, where this system is widely used in Indonesia. The important role of the Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant is the reason for the need for a study of the Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant so that the performance of the Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant can run optimally and achieve processing goals. This study aims to determine the quality of the processed Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant at Balai Pialam Yogyakarta. The method used is a descriptive method of collecting data at the Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant at the Balai Pialam which is located on Jalan Bantul KM ​​8, Sewon District, Bantul Regency. The data collected is data regarding the processing and quality of treated water from Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant. Furthermore, it is carried out because the analysis with wastewater quality standards for Communal Domestic WWTP activities, Communal Feces WWTP based on DIY Regional Regulation No. 7 of 2016. The results of water testing processed by Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant, show that treated water from Sewage Sludge Treatment Plant cannot be discharged directly into water bodies of total content coliform which is still high with a figure of 2,400,000 MPN/100 mL while for the requirements it is only allowed to be 10,000 MPN/100 mL. So that there is a need for further processing at the WWTP. After the advanced treatment process at the WWTP is carried out, the total coliform is reduced to <1.8 MPN/100 mL and can meet the requirements of the wastewater quality standard so that it is safe to be discharged into the environment. Abstract

Population growth has an impact on increasing the volume of household waste. The bad effects include the environment being dirty and garbage thrown into the gutter. The threat of flooding in the rainy season and drought in the dry season will also occur. The amount of household organic waste and the reduced availability of ground water in Sukunan Hamlet. Biopori Infiltration Hole is an effective and environmentally friendly technology to overcome flooding by increasing water absorption, converting organic waste into compost. The purpose of this practical work is to know the process of making biopori, to know the application of biopori, and to know the benefits of biopori in Sukunan Hamlet. The method used in this practical work is descriptive, data collection and direct observation to the field. The data collected consists of primary data and secondary data. The location of the practical work took place in Sukunan Hamlet, Banyuraden Village, Gamping District, Sleman Yogyakarta. The process of making biopore infiltration holes from start to finish includes the preparation of the necessary equipment, supplies and biopore materials. After making the biopore infiltration hole has been completed. Biopore infiltration holes must be treated so that their quality is maintained and can function properly. Applications of Biopori Infiltration Holes in Sukunan Hamlet are placed in the yards of residents' houses and several hamlet roads. Biopori infiltration hole technology in Sukanan Hamlet has benefits such as reducing the volume of organic waste, converting organic waste into compost, fertilizing the soil, reducing standing water, helping prevent flooding and improving ground water quality.

Abstract

One source of clean water that is still widely used by the community is well water and the quality of this water must be considered. Several diseases that attack humans can be transmitted and spread through water. Therefore microbiological tests on well water must be carried out to determine the source of the quality of the water used. It is important to monitor the quality of clean water in Cikedokan Village microbiologically to find out whether there is a decrease in water quality caused by Total coliform and Escherichia coli bacteria. The sampling point was determined by purposive sampling. The number of sampling points is 15 points. The sample taken is a sample of groundwater residents of Cikedokan Village. The samples were then analyzed for later comparison with the Quality Standards of the Minister of Health Regulation Number 32 of 2017. The results of the analysis showed that there were 13 well water samples in Cikedokan Village that did not contain polluted bacteria and there were 2 well water sample points containing Total Coliform and E.coli of 1600 CFU/100 ml and 130 CFU/100 ml so it can be concluded that the two points have experienced a decrease in the quality of clean water.

Abstract

Latar Belakang: Pertumbuhan industri sangat pesat dan dalam prosesnya banyak menggunakan bahan kimia berbahaya. Masuknya bahan kimia dalam proses produksi jika tidak dikendalikan dapat mencemari lingkungan salah satunya air. Tujuan: Untuk mengevaluasi kualitas air limbah PT HKI terhadap baku mutu lingkungan yang ditetapkan oleh Kawasan Industri KIIC dan PermenLH 68/2016. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian dilakukan di PT HKI yang berlokasi Kawasan Industri KIIC, Karawang dengan menganalisa data sekunder hasil pengukuran Laboratorium Lingkungan pada tahun 2022. Parameter yang akan dievaluasi adalah pH, BOD, COD, TSS, dan NH3. Hasil dan Pembahasan: Hasil pengukuran pada outlet WWT ditemukan bahwa 4 dari 5 parameter yang diukur mengalami peningkatan pada semester 2. Sedangkan untuk pengukuran pada mainhole ditemukan bahwa 2 dari 5 parameter yang mengalami peningkatan pada semester 2 pemeriksaan namun tidak melebihi baku mutu lingkungan. Kesimpulan: Kualitas air limbah PT HKI memenuhi baku mutu lingkungan. Namun bagaimanapun, PT HKI perlu memperhatikan beberapa parameter seperti pH dan NH3 yang secara konsisten naik pada semester 2 baik pada pemeriksaan di Outlet WWT maupun di Mainhole.

Abstract

Water is an important part for the survival of all creatures. PDAM plays an important role in providing clean water and distributing it to the community. Kiarapdes Village, Purwakarta Regency has a Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDES). PDAM has a significant role. However, decisive action is needed to ensure the efficient use of clean water. One of the efforts is to check water use through monthly reports and water meters. Obstacles arise due to delays in submitting water bills by officials which triggers the potential for fraud. The solution to overcome this problem is to implement a Web-based Quick Response Code (QR Code) Verification. The purpose of implementing a web-based QR Code as a Verification tool is to be an effective solution in preventing fraud in making PDAM Kiarapedes accounts, Purwakarta Regency. Web-based data verification system with the PDAM application name. This application system uses PHP and Python programming languages using Visual Code software and uses XAMPP and MySQL. The research method that the author uses is the Waterfall method because the work on a system is carried out sequentially. This system is expected to improve accuracy in making water accounts and reduce opportunities for fraud.

Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah penduduk berbanding lurus dengan peningkatan jumlah limbah yang dihasilkan dari aktifitas manusia, dan salah satu limbah yang dihasilkan serta berpengaruh langsung terhadap kualitas lingkungan adalah limbah cair domestic dari aktifitas rumah tangga. Upaya pengelolaan limbah cair domestik rumah secara tepat sangat diperlukan untuk menanggulangi dampak pencemaran dan kerusakan lingkungan yang terjadi. Pemerintah Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta sejak tahun 1994 sudah mempunyai pengolahan limbah cair domestik terpusat skala regional. Salah satu pengolahan limbah cair domestik yang ada di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta adalah Balai Pialam Yogyakarta. Tingginya pertumbuhan penduduk di Yogyakarta dapat berdampak pada penurunan kualitas lingkungan, salah satunya terjadi pencemaran air, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan studi terkait kualitas air yang dihasilkan dari proses pengolahan IPAL di Balai Pialam Yogyakarta sehingga dapat dipastikan air yang dibuang ke badan air aman serta tidak mencemari lingkungan dan biota air. Sosialisasi yang dilakukan berupa perlu adanya penanganan khusus terhadap kualitas air outlet IPAL untuk parameter yang tidak memenuhi baku mutu seperti DO, BOD, COD dan TSS dan diperlukan adanya kajian mengenai kualitas air dari hulu (upstream) dan hilir (downstream) dari badan sungai (Sungai Bedog) untuk mengevaluasi kualitas air berdasarkan status mutu airnya.

Abstract

Desa Pebayuran menghadapi tantangan serius terkait manajemen sampah akibat pertumbuhan populasi dan kurangnya pemahaman akan praktik pengelolaan sampah yang berkelanjutan. Melalui serangkaian kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan, kami bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang pentingnya pemilahan sampah, teknik pengolahan yang ramah lingkungan, serta penggunaan produk daur ulang. Metode pengabdian ini melibatkan pendekatan partisipatif, di mana kami bekerja sama dengan pemerintah desa dan kelompok masyarakat setempat. Kegiatan meliputi penyuluhan rutin, demonstrasi teknik pengolahan sampah, serta pembuatan kompos dari sampah organik. Evaluasi partisipatif digunakan untuk mengukur tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap masyarakat sebelum dan setelah intervensi. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan masyarakat tentang praktik pengelolaan sampah yang tepat. Selain itu, terjadi peningkatan partisipasi dalam pemilahan sampah dan penggunaan fasilitas pengolahan sampah yang tersedia di desa. Dengan demikian, pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam membangun kesadaran lingkungan dan meningkatkan kualitas lingkungan hidup masyarakat Desa Pebayuran, Karawang.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah negara kedua terbesar yang mencemari laut dengan sampah plastik dengan 1,29 juta ton. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi masalah pencemaran lingkungan terkait limbah dan meminimalkan jumlah limbah yang masuk ke aliran sungai. Identifikasi masalah, pengumpulan data, pengambilan sampel lapangan, analisis data, dan pengembangan alat perangkap sampah di sungai adalah langkah-langkah yang harus diselesaikan untuk proyek ini. Sistem kerja alat ini yaitu memasukan alat kedalam sungai dan sampah-sampah yang berada disungai akan tertahan di alat tersebut, jika sampah sudah banyak yang tertatahan maka alat bisa diangkat dan sampah yang tertahan dikumpulkan kemudian dibuang ke TPA. Total berat alat penjerat sampah di sungai sebesar 25,5 Kg, gaya apung alat sebesar 650,4 N dengan menggunakan screen dengan ukuran 1cm x 1cm. Dengan spesifikasi tersebut mampu menjerat sampah organik dan anorganik. Total sampah yang berhasil tertahan di alat tersebut dalam 7 hari implementasi sebesar 36,7 kg (sampah organik sebesar 26,6 kg dan sampah anorganik sebesar 10,1 kg).

Abstract

This activity aims to improve the quality of clean water to become pure water and drinking water using a reverse osmosis system, namely water filtration processing to neutralize tastes, odors and dangerous substances contained in water. One of the obstacles at Pelita Bangsa University is the use of WTP clean water into pure water and drinking water which can be useful in the campus area, such as water supply in laboratory practices. With the activity of making appropriate technology, namely making a Reverse Osmosis device, it is hoped that it can become an alternative for providing drinking water that is suitable for consumption so that lecturers, staff, employees and students can utilize the pure water and drinking water produced. From the results of the water quality test it can be produced that it is still below the specified threshold limit, namely for pH in the range 6.5 – 8.5, and for temperature, namely air temperature ± 3̊C. From the test results, the TDS value shows that the water that comes out of the output membrane is 0. The TDS value for drinking water is around 20 – 22.
