Abstract

The Ministry of Health (2008) states that IMD involves pressing the newborn up against the mother's chest or stomach, let him to wiggle about in search of the nipple, and then nursing him until he is full. At least the first hour following the baby's birth is dedicated to this procedure. This kind of study uses a cross-sectional design and is descriptive correlative in nature. It measures both the independent and dependent research variables concurrently throughout the course of one time period. The purpose of this study is to examine the correlation between the occurrence of postpartum hemorrhage at the Onan Hasang Community Health Center in 2023 and the Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD). There were 26 persons (81.3%) postpartum. Respondents who did not initiate early breastfeeding (IMD) represented the minority with postpartum hemorrhage, i.e. 3 (9.4%). Based on the study results obtained, there is a relationship between early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) and the incidence of postpartum bleeding at Onan Hasang Community Health Center in 2023, which from the main trial Fisher's exact test, the obtained p value is 0.008, which is less than 0.05. This means that the earlier you start breastfeeding (IMD), the less postpartum bleeding you will have. We note that the majority of respondents who completed Early Initiation of Breastfeeding (IMD) did not experience postpartum bleeding, i.e. 26 (81.3%). The majority of respondents who did not initiate early breastfeeding (IMD) had postpartum hemorrhage, i.e. 3 (9.4%). Fisher's exact test results showed a p-value of 0.008 < 0.05. This means that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) of this study is accepted, i.e. there is an association between early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) and the incidence of postpartum hemorrhage at community health centers. Abstract

Antenatal Care (ANC) is the visit of pregnant women to health care facilities to receive ANC services according to established standards. The Antenatal Care coverage in the working area of Deli Tua Community Health Center in 2023 was K1 = 73.2% and K6 = 68.8%, while the target was 85%. There were 5 dominant factors causing non-compliance with ANC examination, namely age, education, attitude, knowledge, and husband's support. Theaims of the study is to examine the relationshipbetween five dominant of the factors and the Examination Compliance The Antenatal Care which the factor ofthe most related to The Antenatal Care Examination Compliance. The type of the research used analytic survey with a cross-sectional design. The data of the analysis used chi-square test and binary logistic regression with a sample size of 94 pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria. The results of the study has been known that the dominant factors related toThe Antenatal Care Examination Compliance are knowledge and husband's support, while the dominant factors not related toThe Antenatal Care Examination Compliance were age, education, and attitude, and the most related dominant factor to The Antenatal Care Examination Compliance in the working area of Deli Tua Community Health Center was knowledge with (p = 0.000) and (aRP = 5.211-132.401). From the results of the study, it is recommended to health workers at Deli Tua Community Health Center to increase the intensity of providing information and education to pregnant women and their companions through counseling activities.

Abstract

Anxiety is a normal condition that occurs in various circumstances, such as growth, new experiences (Heriani, 2016). Anxiety is a feeling of fear that has no clear cause and is not supported by the existing situation. Anxiety can be felt by everyone if they experience deep pressure and feelings that cause psychiatric problems and can develop over a long period of time. Anxiety disorders are one of the most common psychiatric disorders. According to the National Comority Study report, one in four people meet the diagnostic criteria for at least one anxiety disorder. Anxiety symptoms are different for each individual. Symptoms of anxiety can include restlessness, heart palpitations, tremors, and more. Pregnancy is a source of stress and anxiety, especially for mentally unstable pregnant women. In general, pregnant women experiencing pregnancy for the first time will feel happy and increasingly curious about their changes as well as the development of the fetus. But at the same time, pregnant women also feel worried. This type of research is analytical survey research with a cross-sectional approach where data relating to the independent variable and dependent variable are collected simultaneously or at the same time. This method was used by researchers to determine the perception of the level of anxiety of primigravida mothers in facing the birth process. Based on the results of age research on the perception and anxiety of primigravida pregnant women in the age group <20 years, totaling 13 people, of which 5 people (38.5%) had a good perception of childbirth and 8 people (61.5%) had a bad perception. towards childbirth. Meanwhile, in the 20-35 year age group, there were 20 people, of whom 15 people (75.0%) had a good perception, and 5 people (25.0%) had a bad perception. According to the results of anxiety levels in people under 20 years old, 7 people (53.8%) felt mild anxiety, 2 people (15.4%) felt moderate anxiety, 3 people (23.1%) felt ) severe anxiety and 1 person (7.7%) panicked.

Abstract

Regristration and reporting system of Public Health Center is vital instrument in health system. The information about the pain, the use of health service at Public Health Center, death and many others health information is beneficial to have decision and policy maker at Regency stage, city and Sub-regency. This research aims to analyze the influence quality of registration and reporting toward administrative system at Pubilic Health Center of Sibolangit in 2017. This research is explanatory research with cross sectional as discover, analyze and explain how the influences quality or registration and reporting toward administrative system at Pubilic Health Center of Sibolangit in 2017. The sample of this research is all populations (random sampling) who are the staff who work in Public Health Center of Sibolangit as many as 50 people. The result of input factors found that budgeting in registration and reporting is good (82%), capacity resource support (86%), mainstay variable in handling good registration and reporting (74%), good respond (76%). The factor of process, data respondents collecting who said good (68%), good sending process of respondents data (52%), bad sending process (48%). From data analysis found that respondents who said good (65%). Output factors, good planning variable (36%), with good evaluation (58%), punctuality to handle and make good report (60%), safety of saving data file (52%). The bivariat result show that there is significant influences between collecting data, sending data, analysis data, planning, punctuality, completencess with implematation of administration system at Public Health Center of Sibolangit. There is no significant influences between budgeting, capacity resources, mainstay, respond capacity, and evaluation with administrative system at Pubilc Health Center of Sibolangit. The result of multivariate analysis found that dominant factors is collecting data with value 1,637. For health department needs the efforts comprehensive ordering on organizing of Registration and reporting system of Public Health Center to progress and application of health information system at Public Health Center.

Abstract

Sistem Informasi Manajemen Rumah Sakit (SIMRS) diterapkan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional, mempercepat pencatatan serta akses data pasien, dan mendukung pengambilan keputusan berbasis data yang akurat. Di RSUD Sembiring Deli Tua, SIMRS telah digunakan sejak tahun 2021, namun integrasinya masih terbatas di beberapa unit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan SIMRS, khususnya di unit rawat jalan, guna mengeval_uasi efektivitas sistem dan dampaknya terhadap kualitas layanan kesehatan. Penelitian ini bersifat observasional dan dilakukan di RSUD Sembiring Deli Tua dengan melibatkan karyawan serta pasien sebagai responden. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa sebagian besar responden memberikan penilaian positif terhadap implementasi SIMRS, dengan 83,3% karyawan dan 97,3% pasien menyatakan kepuasan mereka. Meski demikian, masih terdapat beberapa aspek yang perlu diperbaiki, terutama dalam hal teknologi dan sumber daya manusia. Sebanyak 26,7% karyawan dan 14,9% pasien menilai bahwa teknologi yang digunakan dalam SIMRS masih kurang optimal, sementara proporsi yang sama juga menilai bahwa kompetensi sumber daya manusia dalam menjalankan sistem ini. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan SIMRS di RSUD Sembiring Deli Tua telah berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan mutu layanan kesehatan, meskipun masih terdapat kendala yang perlu diselesaikan. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar rumah sakit memperkuat infrastruktur teknologi, mengadakan pelatihan berkala bagi karyawan, serta mengoptimalkan sistem agar lebih mudah digunakan. Dengan perbaikan tersebut, diharapkan efektivitas SIMRS dapat terus meningkat, sehingga pelayanan kesehatan menjadi lebih efisien dan berkualitas.

Abstract

The intention to revisit is a key component of patient loyalty, which can be strengthened through repeated use of hospital services. One of the primary factors influencing patient satisfaction is service quality. In the context of hospital services, service quality refers to providing healthcare that adheres to quality standards, ensuring that patient and family needs and expectations are met. This leads to greater satisfaction and ultimately enhances trust in the hospital. This study utilized an observational research design with a cross-sectional approach, involving 80 respondents who met the sample readiness criteria at the time of the study. Chi-square analysis was conducted, and the findings revealed that three service quality variables had a significant relationship with outpatient revisit interest at Sembiring Hospital: physical evidence (p = 0.001), reliability (p = 0.001), and responsiveness (p = 0.004). To enhance patient satisfaction and encourage revisit intention, Sembiring Hospital should improve service quality based on patient assessments, particularly in aspects that do not yet meet their expectations. Conducting staff training programs to enhance healthcare professionals’ skills and improve service quality and human resource (HR) performance is also recommended. Additionally, ensuring a comfortable and patient-friendly healthcare environment can make outpatient services more appealing and encourage repeat visits. By implementing these improvements, Sembiring Hospital can increase patient satisfaction, build loyalty, and strengthen trust in its healthcare services.

Abstract

The rules imposed during the COVID-19 pandemic are considered to have a direct impact on health services. One of the regulations is considered to have a negative impact on the implementation of the KIA program. This is a qualitative study with an observational method, which aims to generate or explore in-depth descriptive data regarding Service Policies for Pregnant Women, Maternity, Postpartum, Newborns and Family Planning During the Covid 19 Pandemic at Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat Tanjung Haloban. The research period starts from December 2021 to March 2022. The research informants are 6 informants consisting of: Head of Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat, the Coordinator Midwife, the Implementer of MCH and Family Planning Programs, Multigravida Pregnant Women, Multigravida Maternity and Postpartum Mothers and PUS. Only coordinating midwives have received training, pregnant women are reluctant to visit the Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat Tanjung Haloban due to concerns about being infected with the Covid-19 virus, there is a lack of infrastructure for the implementation of quarantine for pregnant women, HIV test packages are not available for pregnant women, family planning services for PUS carried out as before the Pandemic with additional application of health protocols, pregnant women services, namely Antenatal Care services carried out as usual with additional screening in the form of vaccination activities for pregnant women and Covid-19 examinations, there was no reduction in the KIA/KB service program provided at the Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat Tanjung Haloban at pandemic. KIA services experienced a decline and did not reach the SPM target, while KB services experienced an increase in participants and reached the SPM target. It is necessary to make proposals for the procurement of HIV test kits, re-propose additional quarantine rooms for pregnant women, provide education regarding delivery service procedures during the pandemic, and planning related to the home visit program for pregnant women services.Abstrak: Aturan-aturan yang diberlakukan dimasa Pandemi COVID-19 dinilai berdampak secara langsung pada layanan kesehatan. Salah satu aturan yang dinilai berdampak negatif pada pelaksanaan program KIA. Ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan metode  observasional, yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan atau menggali data deskriftif secara mendalam mengenai Kebijakan Pelayanan Pada Ibu Hamil, Bersalin, Nifas, Bayi Baru  Lahir Serta KB Pada Masa Pandemi Covid 19 di Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat Tanjung Haloban. Waktu penelitian dimulai dari bulan Desember 2021 sampai Maret 2022. Informan penelitian sebanyak 6 orang informan yang terdiri dari : Kepala Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat, Bidan Koordinator, Pelaksana Program KIA dan KB, Ibu Hamil multigravida, Ibu Bersalin dan Nifas multigravida dan Pasangan Usia Subur. Hanya bidan koordinator yang sudah pernah mendapatkan pelatihan, Ibu hamil enggan melakukan kunjungan ke Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat Tanjung Haloban akibat kekhawatiran terinfeksi virus Covid-19, ada kekurangan prasarana ruangan pelaksanaan karantina ibu hamil, tidak tersedia paket tes HIV untuk ibu hamil, pelayanan KB pada Pasangan Usia Subur dilakukan seperti sebelum Pandemi dengan tambahan penerapan protokol kesehatan, pelayanan Ibu Hamil yaitu pelayanan Antenatal Care dilakukan seperti biasa dengan tambahan skrinning berupa kegiatan vaksinasi pada ibu hamil dan pemeriksaan Covid-19, tidak ada pengurangan program layanan KIA/KB yang diberikan di Pusat Kesehatan Masyarakat Tanjung Haloban dimasa Pandemi Covid-19, Layanan KIA mengalami penurunan dan tidak mencapai target SPM, sedangkan Layanan KB mengalami peningkatan peserta KB aktif dan mencapai target SPM. Perlu dilakukan pengusulan untuk pengadaan alat tes HIV, pengusulan ulang penambahan ruangan karantina bagi ibu hamil, edukasi tetang prosedur pelayanan persalinan dimasa Pandemi, perencanaan terkait program kunjungan lapangan (home visit) pada Pelayanan Ibu hamil.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health problem in Indonesia, including in Medan City. Malnutrition among TB patients worsens prognosis and delays recovery. Nutrition-based interventions such as Food Baskets combined with environmental health education are expected to improve nutritional status while preventing TB transmission at the household level. This study applied a quasi-experimental design with a pre-post test control group. A total of 30 pulmonary TB patients were enrolled and divided into an intervention group (n=15; received Food Baskets + environmental health education) and a control group (n=15; standard care). Data collected included body weight, energy intake, protein intake, hemoglobin, albumin, knowledge score, and environmental health behavior score. Data were analyzed using paired t-tests and independent t-tests, with significance set at p < 0.05. The intervention group showed a significant increase in body weight (+2.6 ± 0.9 kg) compared to the control group (+1.0 ± 0.8 kg, p < 0.001). Energy intake increased by +370 kcal/day in the intervention group versus +110 kcal/day in the control (p < 0.001). Protein intake increased by +15 g/day in the intervention group versus +4 g/day in the control (p < 0.001). Knowledge scores improved from 58 to 82, while environmental health behavior scores increased from 60 to 83 (p < 0.001). Food Baskets combined with environmental health education are proven effective in improving nutritional status, knowledge, and health behavior of pulmonary TB patients. This intervention can serve as an additional strategy in community-based TB control programs.

Abstract

The focus on improving public nutrition in Indonesia remains centered on addressing the nutritional status of Indonesian children. According to the 2014 Global Nutrition Report (GNR), Indonesia is one of 17 out of 117 countries facing the triple burden of stunting, wasting, and overweight among infants or toddlers within the first days of life. Despite efforts, exclusive breastfeeding rates in Indonesia have not met the targeted 80%. In 2016, exclusive breastfeeding rates for infants aged 0-5 months were at 54.0%, while only 29.5% were exclusively breastfed up to 6 months. Although South Sumatra province has surpassed the national average with a rate of 60.4%, it still falls short of the desired 80%. Researchers focused on the Sargiati Amd clinic, particularly exploring the correlation between parenting styles, exclusive breastfeeding, and infant nutritional status. Among the 19 respondents, the majority exhibited a certain parenting style. Among them, 11 individuals had good nutritional status (36.7%), while 8 had poor nutritional status (36.7%). Only a minority (6.7%) had poor nutritional status. Surprisingly, among those with good parenting habits, the majority had poor nutritional status (23.3%), while the minority had good nutritional status (13.3%). Statistical analysis using a chi-square test with a significance level of 0.05 yielded a p-value of 0.256 (P > 0.05), indicating acceptance of the null hypothesis (Ho) and rejection of the alternative hypothesis (Ha). Thus, no significant relationship was found between parenting style and nutritional status. However, there was a significant relationship between parents' eating habits and healthy habits with nutritional status (p = 0.014; p = 0.006).

Abstract

Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is a crucial aspect in the world of work to protect workers from the risk of accidents and occupational diseases. The development of the industrial world, the world of work is always faced with new challenges. Various new challenges emerge along with the development of the era. However, this development is always accompanied by new problems, one of which is work accidents. The Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) regulated in PP No. 50 of 2012 is designed to increase the effectiveness of K3 protection in a planned and measurable manner. However, the implementation of SMK3 in various industrial sectors still faces various obstacles. This study aims to Analyze the Relationship between the Implementation of SMK3 and the Number of Occupational Accidents at PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda in 2025. This study uses a quantitative descriptive research method. The study population is all employees at PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda. The total population of PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda workers as of January 2025 was 547 with a sample size of 85 people. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test and logistic regression. Based on the results of the study, there is a relationship between Policy (P-Value 0.007), Planning (P-Value 0.005), Plan Implementation (P-Value 0.007), Performance Monitoring and eval_uation (P-Value 0.02), Performance Review and Improvement (P-Value 0.04) with the number of work accidents. Based on the results of the multivariate analysis, it was found that the most dominant factor related to the Number of Work Accidents is Plan Implementation with a p-value of 0.01 where the Exp (B) value is 3.6. It is hoped that the Management of PT Pupuk Iskandar Muda can strengthen the implementation of the K3 plan that has been prepared by ensuring that all K3 work programs are carried out according to schedule, not just stated in formal documents.
