Abstract

Declining student engagement is a crucial challenge in the global education system in the era of digital transformation, demanding innovative interventions such as the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technology. This study aims to evaluate the impact of implementing AI-based gamification on student learning engagement, given the urgent need for adaptive learning strategies for the digital generation. Using a mixed-methods research design with a sequential explanatory strategy, this study collected data through a quantitative survey of 43 students and qualitative in-depth interviews. Statistical analysis revealed a significant positive correlation (r=0.560), with regression analysis confirming that gamification elements contributed 31.3% to increased student participation. Qualitative findings support this result by demonstrating that features such as points, badges, automated feedback, and content personalization are effective in stimulating intrinsic motivation and learning consistency, although competitive elements such as leaderboards need to be managed judiciously to avoid excessive pressure. Overall, the study concludes that AI-based gamification is an effective strategy for fostering student cognitive and emotional engagement and recommends the development of a varied and adaptive reward system to maintain long-term learning motivation. ABSTRAK Penurunan keterlibatan siswa menjadi tantangan krusial dalam sistem pendidikan global di era transformasi digital, yang menuntut adanya intervensi inovatif seperti integrasi teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi dampak penerapan gamifikasi berbasis AI terhadap keterlibatan belajar siswa, mengingat urgensi kebutuhan strategi pembelajaran yang adaptif bagi generasi digital. Menggunakan desain penelitian metode campuran (mixed-methods) dengan strategi eksplanatori sekuensial, studi ini mengumpulkan data melalui survei kuantitatif terhadap 43 mahasiswa dan pendalaman kualitatif melalui wawancara. Analisis statistik menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif yang signifikan (r=0,560), di mana analisis regresi mengonfirmasi bahwa elemen gamifikasi berkontribusi sebesar 31,3% terhadap peningkatan partisipasi siswa. Temuan kualitatif memperkuat hasil ini dengan menunjukkan bahwa fitur seperti poin, lencana, umpan balik otomatis, dan personalisasi konten efektif dalam memicu motivasi intrinsik dan konsistensi belajar, meskipun elemen kompetitif seperti leaderboard perlu dikelola dengan bijak agar tidak menimbulkan tekanan berlebih. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa gamifikasi berbasis AI merupakan strategi efektif untuk menumbuhkan keterlibatan kognitif dan emosional siswa, serta merekomendasikan pengembangan sistem penghargaan yang variatif dan adaptif guna menjaga motivasi belajar jangka panjang.

Abstract

Rumah Hawwa merupakan salah satu UMKM yang bergerak dalam produksi busana muslimah serta berbagai kerajinan tangan. Meskipun memiliki potensi produk yang kompetitif, usaha ini masih menghadapi tantangan dalam memanfaatkan peluang pemasaran digital secara optimal. Untuk menjawab permasalahan tersebut, program pengabdian ini dirancang dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan dan pengetahuan pelaku usaha Rumah Hawwa dalam menerapkan strategi pemasaran digital, khususnya melalui pemanfaatan media sosial dan platform e-commerce secara lebih efektif, efisien, dan berkelanjutan. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi kegiatan pelatihan dasar, pendampingan intensif, praktik pembuatan foto dan video konten, serta evaluasi perkembangan yang dilakukan secara bertahap dengan melibatkan partisipasi aktif peserta pelatihan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan, terjadi peningkatan pemahaman peserta sebesar 33,3% mengenai konsep pemasaran digital, disertai peningkatan kemampuan dalam merancang konten promosi, mengelola akun bisnis, serta menganalisis perilaku pasar digital sebagai dasar pengambilan keputusan pemasaran. Secara keseluruhan, program ini memberikan dampak positif terhadap peningkatan kompetensi pelaku UMKM dan berkontribusi pada penguatan daya saing Rumah Hawwa di tengah dinamika transformasi digital yang semakin berkembang pesat.

Abstract

The 21st-century digital educational transformation demands that students possess high levels of adaptability amidst numerous technological distractions that can disrupt academic stability. Therefore, time management and Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) skills are vital instruments for maintaining sustained academic engagement. This study aims to analyze the relationship and predictive power of study time management and SRL on students' academic consistency in the digital education era. Using a quantitative approach with the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method, data were collected from 250 students at STIAB Jinarakkhita Lampung through proportional stratified random sampling. The analysis shows that study time management and SRL significantly predict academic consistency. Specifically, SRL was identified as the most dominant factor influencing consistency, while effective time management serves as a crucial foundation that strengthens students' self-regulation abilities. These findings confirm that academic consistency depends not only on internal motivation but also on technical skills in managing time resources. It is concluded that educational institutions need to integrate time management training and SRL strategies into their curricula to produce students who are resilient and adaptable to the challenges of the digital era. ABSTRAKTransformasi pendidikan digital abad ke-21 menuntut mahasiswa untuk memiliki kemampuan adaptasi tinggi di tengah banyaknya distraksi teknologi yang dapat mengganggu stabilitas akademik. Oleh karena itu, kemampuan manajemen waktu dan Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) menjadi instrumen vital untuk menjaga keterlibatan akademik yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan dan daya prediksi manajemen waktu belajar serta SRL terhadap konsistensi akademik mahasiswa di era pendidikan digital. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode Structural Equation Modelling (SEM), data dikumpulkan dari 250 mahasiswa STIAB Jinarakkhita Lampung melalui teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa manajemen waktu belajar dan SRL secara signifikan menjadi prediktor konsistensi akademik. Secara spesifik, SRL teridentifikasi sebagai faktor yang paling dominan mempengaruhi konsistensi, sementara manajemen waktu yang efektif berperan sebagai fondasi krusial yang memperkuat kemampuan regulasi diri mahasiswa. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa konsistensi akademik tidak hanya bergantung pada motivasi internal, tetapi juga pada keterampilan teknis dalam mengelola sumber daya waktu. Disimpulkan bahwa institusi pendidikan perlu mengintegrasikan pelatihan manajemen waktu dan strategi SRL ke dalam kurikulum untuk mencetak mahasiswa yang resilien dan adaptif terhadap tantangan era digital.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran dengan menerapkan Metode Modelling The Way berbantuan multimedia efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara. Penelitian yang dilakukan termasuk dalam jenis penelitian kuantitatif pendekatan pre-experimental designs. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Wihara Metta Jaya, Desa Malang Sari, Kecamatan Tanjung Sari, Lampung Selatan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa Sekolah Minggu Buddha dengan jumlah siswa 12. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan, hasil analisis dengan menggunakan Paired Samples T-test menunjukkan nilai Sig = 0,03 = 3% < 5%. Artinya, pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode Modelling The Way berbantuan multimedia efektif meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara. Peningkatan kemampuan berbicara juga dapat dilihat dari hasil observasi. Hasil observasi pertama sebesar 40%, kedua dan ketiga sebesar 83 %, keempat 80%, kelima 79%, dan keenam 94%. Artinya, meskipun hasil observasi cukup bervariatif, ini masuk dalam kategori baik.   This research aims to determine whether the implementation of Multimedia-assisted Modelling The Way Method in learning is effective to improve speaking skill. The research is classified as quantitative research using pre-experimental designs approach. This research is conducted at the Metta Jaya Temple, Malang Village, Tanjung Sari Sub-district, South Lampung. The samples of this research are 12 students of Buddhist Sunday School. Based on the research, the analysis result using paired samples T-test shows the value of Sig = 0.03 = 3% < 5%. This means that learning by applying the Multimedia-assisted Modelling The Way Method effectively improves speaking skill. The improvement of speaking skill can also be seen from the observation results, starting from the first observation which is 40%, the second and the third ones which is 83%, the fourth one which is 80%, the fifth one which is 79%, and the sixth one which is 94%. It means that even though the observation results are various, they are categorized in good category.

Abstract

Teacher interpersonal communication is an important component of learning that shapes teacher-student interactions. The quality of effective communication can influence students' learning behavior in attention, participation, discipline, and academic responsibility. Observations at Pelita Bangsa Elementary School found suboptimal student learning behavior, including low concentration, low participation, and poor discipline. This condition indicates the importance of examining the influence of teacher interpersonal communication on the learning behavior of Buddhist students. This study aims to analyze the levels of teacher interpersonal communication and Buddhist student learning behavior, and the influence of teacher interpersonal communication on student learning behavior at Pelita Bangsa Elementary School. This study used a quantitative, correlational design through field research. The sample consisted of 38 Buddhist students. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. The reliability test showed a Cronbach's Alpha of 0.975 for teacher interpersonal communication and 0.981 for learning behavior. Data analysis used simple linear regression and product-moment correlation with SPSS. The results of the study showed t = 7.740 > t table = 1.688 (p < 0.05), a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.790, and a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.625. Teacher interpersonal communication accounted for 62.5% of student learning behavior, while other factors influenced 37.5%. In conclusion, teacher interpersonal communication has a positive and significant influence on the learning behavior of Buddhist students at Pelita Bangsa Elementary School. It is an important factor in optimizing learning.

Abstract

Rapid technological development has brought many significant changes to everyday life, changing people's mindsets and paradigms in seeking information. Nowadays, people no longer rely solely on newspapers and radio but also use other sources of information, one of which is the internet. In implementing learning, it is important to provide supporting teaching materials and resources so that educational goals can be achieved. If learning is only carried out conventionally, students tend to experience boredom and lack of active involvement. This study aims to develop an Android-based learning media in the form of the Dhamma Quest game as a tool to help Buddhist Sunday School students understand Buddhist symbols, as well as to analyze students' responses to its use in increasing their interest and understanding. In addition, this study also assesses the feasibility of the media through expert and specialist validation, as well as determining the influence of the Dhamma Quest learning media on students' interest or motivation to learn. This study also focuses on the development of learning media in the form of the "Dhamma Quest" game on Buddhist symbols at the Dhamma Suci Buddhist temple Sunday school. This study uses a level 3 research and development (R&D) method. The steps used include researching and developing the product. The research subject is the Dhamma Suci Buddhist temple Sunday school. Data collection techniques include observation, product validation observation sheets, and the one-group pretest-posttest method, while the analysis technique uses a paired samples test.The overall assessment results were given by subject matter and media experts, with an average score of 4.56 and a percentage score of 96% in the very feasible category. The limited test results showed that the posttest mean score (81.9) was higher than the pretest score (42.5). With this achievement, the Dhamma Quest media was considered effective in improving students' understanding and feasible for use as learning media for Buddhist symbols.

Abstract

This study aimed to find the effect of multicultural leadership on religious moderation in student studies. The problems that occur are minority students feeling inferior, lack of awareness of the importance of respecting and accepting religious differences, lack of instillation of multicultural values and religious moderation, the presence of multi-ethnic students, the deepening of faith from students facilitated by the school, fair treatment of minority students. This study uses a quantitative approach, with the Random Sampling survey method, using a random system. A proportional allocation of 96 samples of 28 students was carried out to determine the sample size in each class. This study was conducted in a Private School with student respondents in the 2023/2024 academic year. The study showed a significant favorable influence between multicultural leadership and religious moderation with a t count of -17.559 and a significance value (p) of 0.001 <0.05. The simple regression analysis calculation results obtained the R Square value as 0.828. Multicultural leadership influences religious moderation by 82.8%, and other factors affect the remaining 17.2%.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has changed the way students access and understand information. Digital literacy encompasses not only technical skills, but also critical thinking skills, media ethics, and information evaluation. However, there is still a gap between access to technology and critical understanding among users, especially in distinguishing valid information from hoaxes. Low levels of digital literacy contribute to the spread of disinformation, a lack of awareness of digital ethics, and low student engagement in analysing social issues. This study aims to analyse the influence of digital literacy on students' ability to understand and evaluate contemporary issues circulating on social media. The method used in this study was a survey with a quantitative approach, involving 43 Year 12 students from Tri Ratna High School in West Jakarta as respondents. Data analysis was performed using simple linear regression to measure the relationship between digital literacy levels and the ability to analyse issues. The results show that digital literacy has a positive and significant influence on the ability to analyse contemporary issues. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 92.8% indicates that digital literacy plays an important role in improving students' analytical skills regarding social media content. This study recommends the integration of digital literacy education into the school curriculum to strengthen students' analytical skills.

Abstract

This study aimed to find the effect of adversity quotient intelligence on the learning outcomes of Buddhist religious education. The problems that occur in students are that there are students who admit that they have never received a ranking, rarely study at home, and there are also students who cannot focus for a long time when studying, and the teaching method is less effective. In addition, learning carried out by teachers is still primarily done conventionally, and the lack of learning facilities is also the cause of weak student learning motivation in carrying out the learning process. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population in this study was 133, with a sample of 100 obtained by the Proportional Random Sampling sampling technique. The study results showed a significant adverse effect between adversity quotient intelligence on the learning outcomes of Buddhist religious education with a t count of -3.804 and a significance value (p) of 0.000 <0.05. From the results of the simple regression analysis calculation, the R Square value was obtained at 0.136. This means that adversity quotient intelligence influences the learning outcomes of Buddhist religious education by 13.6%, and other factors influence the remaining 86.4%. The adversity quotient value measures an individual's ability to handle and overcome challenges. Students with high AQ may feel burdened if students face challenges or difficulties in the learning process regularly. Excessive stress and fatigue can harm learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of project-based Learning Models on critical thinking. Project-based Learning makes a significant contribution to developing students' critical thinking skills. Students involved in PJBL tend to be more active in the learning process, can ask in-depth questions, and have the ability to analyze and reflect on information critically. The research used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Respondents in this study were elementary school students. The research population was 47 students, obtained through the proportional random sampling technique—respondents of elementary school students in the 2024 academic year. The study results showed a significant favorable influence between Project Learning and students' Critical Thinking with a t count of 72.0 and a significance value (p) of 0.000 <0.05. From the simple regression analysis calculation results, the R Square value was 28.0. Project Learning affects critical Thinking by 72.0%, and other factors influence the remaining 28.0%.
