Abstract

Plankton is one of the aquatic biota that can act as a bioindicator of Water because it is susceptible to changes in the quality of the Water where it lives. The Way Besai River is in Dwikora Village, Bukit Kemuning District, North Lampung Regency. This study aimed to determine the water quality of the Way Besai River based on the diversity and abundance of plankton as a bioindicator of Water and to determine the relationship between the plankton community structure and water quality parameters. This study was conducted in November-December 2024. Sampling was performed using a survey method with 6 (six) spots, which were then identified and calculated using the Sedgewick-Rafter method. Based on the analysis of plankton abundance and diversity, it is known that the Way Besai River is moderately polluted, and there is a significant relationship between the plankton community structure and water quality parameters.

Abstract

Intensifikasi budidaya udang vaname (Litopenaeus vannamei) tidak hanya meningkatkan produksi udang tetapi juga berdampak pada penurunan kualitas air buangan dari tambak udang ke perairan pantai. Pengadaan instalasi pengolahan air limbah pada outlet mbah budidaya udang menjadikan salah satu pilihan untuk mereduksi bahan pencemar. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengevaluasi IPAL dalam mereduksi kandungan fosfat, nitrat, total ammonia nitrogen (TAN), total organik matter (TOM) di tambak udang vaname Desa Ruguk, Kecamatan Ketapang, Kabupaten Lampung Selatan. Sebanyak dua kolam digunakan sebagai IPAL (IPAL1 dan IPAL2) dengan luas kolam masing-masing 2.054 m2 dari 12 kolam tambak udang vaname. Keberadaan IPAL di tambak dievaluasi dengan pengukuran kualitas air di empat stasiun yaitu outlet, kolam IPAL 1, kolam IPAL 2, dan main outlet atau aliran Sungai sebanyak tiga kali (Sebelum panen, panen parsial, dan panen total). Parameter kimia yang diukur pada penelitian ini yaitu yaitu pH, nitrat, fosfat, total ammonia nitrogen (TAN), alkalinitas, oksigen terlarut. Serta, mengamati pertembuhan parameter biologi yaitu total Vibrio count (TVC). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas IPAL sederhana tidak efisien menurunkan nitrat (9%), pH (3%), alkalinitas (12%). Sedangkan salinitas (31%), DO (41%), fosfat (55%), dan TAN (61%), termasuk cukup efisien. Kelimpahan bakteri Vibrio meningkat 95% menuju day of care DOC 134 (panen total).

Abstract

Sungai Way Umpu merupakan sungai yang berada di Kabupaten Way Kanan, Lampung. Sungai ini sebagian besar digunakan oleh masyarakat Kabupaten Way Kanan sebagai sumber air dalam aktivitas bidang pertanian, perkebunan, perikanan, industri, dan kebutuhan domestik masyarakat. Adanya aktivitas tersebut dapat mempengaruhi kualitas air sungai baik fisika, kimia, maupun biologi. Hal ini akan memberikan tekanan ekologis dan peningkatan pencemaran di perairan sungai dan mempengaruhi keberadaan biota perairan terutama ikan sebagai konsumen dalam ekosistem sungai yang akan mempengaruhi keberadaan dan kondisinya. Ikan sebagai salah satu bioindikator status lingkungan perairan, untuk mengetahui kualitas perairan Sungai Way Umpu dapat diketahui dengan menghitung nilai Nutrition Value Coefficient (NVC). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei, penentuan titik sampling dilakukan berdasarkan tata guna lahan. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah ikan yang ditemukan di lokasi stasiun pengamatan. Ikan yang telah diperoleh langsung diukur berat dan panjangnya lalu nilai NVC ikan dihitung dengan rumus Fulton. Ikan yang digunakan sebagai perhitungan NVC adalah Ikan Tawes Kepek. Hasil menunjukkan kualitas Sungai Way Umpu berdasarkan NVC Ikan pada ST-1, ST-2, ST-4 dan ST-5 tercemar ringan sedangkan pada ST-3 sama sekali tidak ditemukan ikan sehingga diduga lokasi ini tercemar berat. Hubungan nilai NVC Ikan dengan parameter fisika kimia berdasarkan korelasi pearson memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat dan signifikan antara nilai NVC ikan dengan nilai kekeruhan, TSS, pH, BOD, dan COD.    Kata kunci: Ikan, Bioindikator, Kualitas Perairam, Nutrition Value Coefficient (NVC), Sungai Way Umpu

Abstract

Plankton are organisms that live or float in microscopic water and have an important role in aquatic ecosystems. The Way Umpu River is widely used by local residents as a development area in the agricultural, mining, fishery, transportation, industrial, and domestic needs of the community. Research on plankton diversity was carried out in the Way Umpu River, Way Kanan Regency, Lampung Province from August 2021 to February 2022. The purpose of this study was to determine the plankton diversity index and water quality supported by physical and chemical parameters. Sampling used a survey method based on land use at 7 research stations. The results found that there were 22 types of plankton grouped into 10 classes, namely 4 groups of zooplankton, namely Class Rhizopoda, Euglenophyceae, Ciliatea, and Oligotrichea, and 6 groups of phytoplankton namely Class Cyanophyceae, Bacillariophceae, Trebouxiophyceae, Zygnemophyceae, Chlorophyceae, and Fragilariophyceae. The diversity index (H') of all research stations ranged from 1.06 to 1.77. This shows that the diversity of plankton in the Way Umpu River, Way Kanan Regency is classified as moderate and the water conditions are categorized as moderately polluted with a value range of 1<H'<3.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of educational puzzle games to enhance cognitive development in Group B students at TK Diponegoro 171 Windujaya. Observing low cognitive performance among the children, the teacher initiated classroom action research during the 2024/2025 academic year to improve learning quality through puzzle-based activities. The research followed Kemmis and McTaggart’s (1988) classroom action research model, utilizing descriptive qualitative and quantitative methods over two cycles. Participants included 22 children that consist of 7 boys and 15 girls. Data were collected through observation and documentation. Results indicated a significant improvement in cognitive development, increasing from 71% in Cycle I to 87% in Cycle II. These findings demonstrate that puzzle-based learning activities effectively support young children’s cognitive growth. Furthermore, this approach may be applied in other educational settings to enrich teaching practices and promote further research into cognitive development through puzzle play.

Abstract

Termites in nature operate as cellulose decomposers, giving vital ecosystem services to nature, but they may also inflict significant damage to building structures. The durability of the wood construction of the building decreases with age, and the possibility of termite infestation increases. This study is a descriptive-analytic study that uses quantitative research methodologies and a cross-sectional research design. The study was carried out between May and July 2022 in Balik Bukit District, West Lampung Regency - Lampung. Building data gathering techniques were used by delivering questionnaires to 100 building owners utilizing accidental sampling techniques. Termites were discovered at the age of the building of more than 26 years, with the finding of four types of termites, namely Macrotermes gilvus (Hagen), Bulbittermes constrictiformis (Holmgren), Schedorhinortermes mediobcorus (Holmgren), and Coptotermes gestroi (Wasmann).ABSTRAK: . Rayap di alam bertugas sebagai pengurai bahan selulosa, menyediakan jasa ekosistem yang berharga bagi alam, namun mereka juga dapat menyebabkan sejumlah besar kerusakan pada struktur bangunan. Semakin tua umur bangunan maka keawetan konstruksi kayu yang ada di dalamnya cenderung menurun dan potensi serangan rayap akan semakin meningkat. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analisis deskriptif menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Mei – Juli 2022 di Kecamatan Balik Bukit, Kabupaten Lampung Barat – Lampung. Teknik pengumpulan data bangunan menggunakan teknik accidental sampling dengan menyebarkan kuesioner pada 100 bangunan. Titik ditemukan rayap adalah pada umur bangunan >26 tahun dengan ditemukannya empat jenis rayap yaitu Macrotermes gilvus (Hagen), Bulbitermes constrictiformis (Holmgren), Schedorhinortermes mediobcorus (Holmgren), Coptotermes gestroi (Wasmann)

Abstract

Sungai merupakan jalur pengaliran air alami atau buatan dari hulu hingga hilir. Kualitas air sungai dapat mengalami perubahan dipengaruhi oleh aktivitas manusia. Sungai Bako merupakan sungai yang melintasi pemukiman padat penduduk. Meningkatnya aktivitas manusia, perubahan pola pemanfaatan lahan, dan semakin beragamnya pola hidup masyarakat yang menghasilkan limbah domestik menjadikan beban pencemar di sungai semakin meningkat. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Indeks Kualitas Air (IKA) berdasarkan parameter fisika, kimia, dan biologi. Titik pengambilan sampel berada di Sungai Bako pada hulu, tengah, dan hilir sungai. Sampel air dianalisis dengan delapan parameter, yaitu pH, DO, BOD, COD, TSS, nitrat, T-fosfat, dan Escherichia coli. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan Indeks Pencemaran (IP), Sungai Bako pada 3 stasiun penelitian termasuk dalam kategori tercemar ringan dengan nilai IP pada masing-masing stasiun yaitu 2,075 (stasiun 1), 2,075 (stasiun 2), dan 2,376 (stasiun 3). Hasil analisis nilai IKA pada Sungai Bako yaitu tercemar sedang dengan nilai sebesar 50.

Abstract

The objectives of the research were to compare the quality of physical and chemical characteristics of the soils in the oil palm plantations applied with integrated farming system of cattle and oil palm plantation (IFSCO) and without IFSCO (non-IFSCO), as well as to evaluate the economic benefits of IFSCO application. The research was conducted in two oil palm plantations, i.e. an oil palm plantation applied with IFSCO (5 ha) and an oil palm plantation without IFSCO application (non-IFSCO) (5 ha), located in the Karya Makmur Village, Penawar Aji Subdistrict, Tulang Bawang District, Lampung, Indonesia, in June until August 2016. The research was conducted using a survey and systematic sampling methods to collect soil samples, and data from 30 farmers who applied IFSCO and other 30 farmers who applied non-IFSCO. The results showed that the application of organic fertilizer in the IFSCO field resulted in higher level of exchangeable-K, -Ca, -Mg, and -Na, cation exchange capacity (CEC), and organic-C content of the soil;and better improvement on the physical soil quality, i.e. bulk density, porosity and soil moisture content; in comparison to that in the field without organic fertilizer application (non-IFSCO field). However, the application of IFSCO did not affect the pH, available-P, base saturation and total-N content of the soil.  There was a difference in the texture class of the soils in the IFSCO field and non-IFSCO field.  The result of texture analysis showed that the texture of the soil in the IFSCO field is “clay”, while the texture of the soil in the non-IFSCO field is “sandy clay loam”.  Application of IFSCO can save the fertilizer cost by 66%, the feed cost by 50%, and can increase oil palm production and farmers’ income by about 25%, so it is economically profitable. Thus, IFSCO can improve soil quality and provide economic benefits for the farmers, so the IFSCO obviously supports the implementation of sustainable agriculture.

Abstract

Berdasarkan latar belakang yang sudah diuraikan bahwa seringnya mutasi pimpinan/camat, sehingga dalam evaluasi capaian kerja yang di peroleh setiap tiga bulan sekali berubah dan ada juga ada juga yang tidak mencapai target sehingga pegawai kecamatan tunjangan kinerjanya tidak menerima penuh. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Pegawai Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) Kecamatan di Kabupaten Kebumen sejumlah 442 orang. Sampel yang diambil dari penelitian ini adalah Pegawai Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) Kecamatan di Kabupaten Kebumen yang berjumlah 210 orang. Teknik probability sampling yang digunakan dengan cara Simple Random Sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah terkumpul dan dipaparkan, Secara parsial Gaya Kepemimpinan mempunyai pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, disiplin berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja kinerja, loyalitas mempunyai pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai. Secara simultan Gaya Kepemimpinan, disiplin dan loyalitas mempunyai pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai OPD (Organisasi Perangkat Daerah) Kecamatan di Kabupaten Kebumen.

Abstract

Steam power plant is a power plant that uses steam energy as the main turbine engine to produce electricity. Most steam power plant are built in coastal areas because it requires water for its utilization as waste heat or coolant from the surrounding environment. The construction of steam power plant in coastal areas has caused several issues, such as hot water waste, coal waste, mud, sand, and others that can affect the quality of coastal waters and alter the biological composition in the ocean. The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of Steam Power Plant X wastewater disposal on the phytoplankton community structure and coastal water quality in South Lampung. The sampling points were taken at 3 stations in March-April 2024. Water samples were analyzed using 3 parameters: physics, chemistry and biology, with seven optional parameters measured both ex situ and in situ, namely pH, temperature, salinity, brightness, TSS, nitrate and plankton. Based on the results, the disposal of wastewater from Steam Power Plant X has an impact on the phytoplankton community structure, resulting an increase in dominance of phytoplankton species and causing an increase in physical parameters such as temperature and brightness that exceed environmental quality standards.
