Abstract

Sembulang Village has high potential from marine resources, tourism, to the potential geographical position that supports inter-island shipping lanes. This presents sourced its challenges to make the most of the existing economic potential while maintaining the ecological potential to achieve sustainable coastal development. Practical skills possessed by fishermen in K Sembulang Village become important provisions in the realization of sustainable development, but this needs to be harmonized with the support of various scientific backgrounds. Terrain complex analysis is able to accommodate various considerations in identifying the best sea transportation routes while minimizing negative effects on the environment. Based on these advantages carried out socialization to fishermen who are in Kelurahan Sembulang. From the activities that were successfully held, feedback obtained from participants' satisfaction with the provision of material reached 89.67%, scientific benefit aspects for the residents amounted to 87.29%, facilities supporting activities valued at 84.28%, while as much as 96.77% residents wanted similar activities to be held again in Kelurahan Sembulang.

Abstract

Communication skills in both oral and written English are significant assets for students to enter the industrial world. Preliminary studies revealed that tertiary vocational students (subjects are 66 Polibatam students) find it challenging to speak in English, especially when making presentations in English (77, 3%), which is a reasonably frequent activity in the industry. Therefore, developing alternative learning media is essential for students. It can be a source of learning independently, as well as an alternative teaching media for lecturers. This research aims to create and analyze motion graphics videos to support speaking practice aimed at vocational higher students. The content is about introducing English presentation and making a successful presentation. The method used in this study is R and D that started from identification or need analysis, design, development of the product, evaluation and final product. The field testing carried out is the alpha testing and beta testing. The developers themselves will conduct alpha testing which involved three media reviewers. Meanwhile, for beta testing, the motion graphic was tested to the English lecturer as the content reviewers and the students as the target to use this product. The result shows that the product was excellent to be used as alternative media for speaking practice even to be used by the lecturer as the media for asynchronous class.

Abstract

As a leading fast food restaurant in Indonesia, KFC is required to continuethe maintenance and always provide excellent service to customers. Along with the current technological advances of many learning media that utilize video media. The use of video media in conducting training and reminding of KFC employees that aimed for every employee to run Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) properly and correctly. Submission of information about the seven steps of service delivered through 2D video of Motion Graphic that uses sound effects, images, and typography so more effective and efficient. It was developed with some steps that started from analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation (ADDIE model). By creating this motion grafic video, all the cashiers at KFC can run procedures Seven Steps Service well and correctly.

Abstract

Gudnyus.id is an online media and social news website concept. To support its popularity and bring out its existence, a promotional medium is needed. Based on the questionnaire that the author has distributed online via google form with the target of general public respondents in the urban center of Batam, information is obtained from the questionnaire, 60.6% of the public does not know while 39.4% knows, but only sees Gudnyus. Id posters or flyers on social media. Consequently, Gudnyus.id requires promotional support in the form of video, which is chosen because Gudnyus.id has no promotional support in the form of videos, particularly animated videos. In the production of promotional videos, the author uses the Villamil-Molina search method to support the design. There are five phases: development, pre-production, production, postproduction and delivery. The author uses the epic model method as an analysis to test the efficacy of Gudnyus.id's promotional media based on motion graphs. The information in the promotional video includes an introduction to Gudnyus.id as an online media, website heading, and the social media used by Gudnyus.id to transmit the information. from the output of the efficacy analysis using epic model, it’s known that the promotional video of Gudnyus.id based on the movement charts was found to be effective with an average value of 4.05 empathy, 4.26 persuasion, 4.0 impact, 4.22 Communication.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic outbreak has caused difficulties for the community, for example official trips, tours, shopping, watching films and others, which in turn caused the general economy to decline. This is what makes lecturers, workers and students in the multimedia field take the initiative to make or develop multimedia products that have educational value to the public about the prevention of the Corona virus. One of the places that is the central point of the spread of the Corona virus is the market because the market is a meeting place for people who have an interest in buying and selling if one person is infected with Corona, the virus can spread to the community around the market. Therefore, the product we have developed is a multimedia product that contains educational materials for Corona virus prevention on the market. These products are community services and educational games, comic posters, motion graphics, video advertisements. The results of internal testing to students and external testing to communities related to traders show that comic media is best used in spreading service messages to the community.

Abstract

The motion graphics that are made are about the ESEC 3088 machine which is used as a circuit packaging machine or what is commonly called IC Packaging. So far, students and lecturers of Electronic Manufacturing Engineering have only used material from the ESEC 3088 machine in pdf and word form obtained from e-learning. From this problem, the author made a study "Motion Graphic-Based Learning Media as an Alternative ESEC 3088 Machine Material for Batam State Polytechnic Electronics Manufacturing Engineering", which aims as an alternative learning media that makes it easier for students to learn the procedures for using the ESEC 3088 machine. Research method The method used is Villamil-Molina's multimedia development method using pre-test and post-test methods, to assess the level of student understanding of the material presented in motion graphics. The results of this study are the results of the post-test test scores which are higher than the pre-test scores, which means that the motion graphics created by the researchers succeeded in increasing the level of students' understanding of the material presented.

Abstract

The development of technology in various aspects is very influential in the field of information and communication. This development can be proven by the existence of motion graphics. One company that implements motion graphics is Owntalk.co.id. Owntalk.co.id is an online news media site that was established on August 19, 2019. As a new company that is 2 years old, currently, Owntalk.co.id needs a public relations division that functions to improve the company's image and build relationships through its employees. This study aims to socialize public relations through the creation of motion graphics that are unique and easy to understand by employees of Owntalk.co.id. The benefit of public relations socialization using motion graphics is the establishment of an understanding of public relations therefore the employees can implement public relations activities according to their roles and functions. This research uses the Luther Sutopo design method, with 6 stages of concept, design, collecting, assembly, testing, and distribution materials. In this study, the results were in the form of a motion graphics video with a duration of 2 minutes 33 seconds with a percentage of 96.8%, which means that this motion graphics video is useful for Owntalk.co.id in disseminating public relations materials to its employees.

Abstract

Foreign language is an important thing in this day and age, this is because language is an important instrument to communicate. To overcome the language differences of every country in the world in communicating, English is used as an international language. English is one of the international languages needed in communication and has a very important role in establishing relations with other nations in this era. Vocational students should know how to make presentations using English. But in reality, there are still many students who have not been able to use English properly. This study aims to produce Motion Graphics videos about successful English presentations as an alternative learning media for vocational students. The result of the research is Video Motion Graphic as a learning medium about Successful English presentation for vocational students has gone through 3 stages, namely pre-production, production, and post-production. The software used for making Motion Graphic videos is Adobe Illustrator and Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere. The final result of the product is a video in .mp4 format with a duration of 00:07:30 minutes.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk melatih kemampuan Bahasa Inggris para santri dan ulama di Kota Batam guna meningkatkan skor tes kemampuan bahasa Inggris mereka. Sertifikat kemampuan bahasa Inggris menjadi salah satu syarat yang paling umum untuk studi lanjut, khususnya jika ingin mendaftar pada program beasiswa. Sama seperti pendaftar lainnya, beberapa ulama dan santri kesulitan mencapai skor tes minimal yang dicantumkan dalam syarat pendaftaran beasiswa. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Bahasa Inggris para santri dan ulama. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diselenggarakan ini sebanyak 7 kali pertemuan dengan metode hybrid, yaitu daring dan luring dengan memanfaatkan platform daring yaitu Google Form. Kuesioner diedarkan secara daring kepada para peserta untuk mengukur tingkat keberhasilan kegiatan. Hasil dari pelatihan ini menunjukkan tanggapan positif terhadap kegiatan pelatihan ini. Kesan positif ini merupakan indikasi peserta pelatihan merasa lebih siap berhadapan dengan format tes dan mempunyai gambaran lebih jelas mengenai berbagai kemampuan yang diujikan dalam evaluasi kemampuan berbahasa Inggris ini.

Abstract

Batam State Polytechnic is one of the public educational institutions inBatam, Riau Islands. It has several departments and study programs. One ofthem is the Informatics Engineering Department, which consists ofInformatics Engineering, Multimedia and Networking, Animation, and CyberSecurity Engineering. However, based on a 2017 survey by IndonesianCareer Center Network (ICCN), 85% of students choose the wrong major. Toovercome this problem, "Video Introduction to Polibatam Multimedia andNetwork Study Program using Live Shoot Method" was made. This video isanalyzed through 3 stages, Content Reviewers, Multimedia Reviewers andTesting to the Target Audience. Content Reviewers to assess aspects of videocontent, multimedia reviewers assess visual and audio aspects, while testingto the target audience assess visual, audio, content, language and writingaspects. The results obtained through testing to the target audience, the visualaspect were 85% this video is attractive and the quality of the images is goodto see. The audio aspect is 84.3%, meaning that the audio is audible by theaudience, and is comfortable to listen to. The content aspect, 88%, meaningthat the content of this video provides new knowledge about the studyprogram and the information can be understood properly. In the aspect oflanguage and writing, 85.3%, which means that the subtitles are appropriateand readable, articulation in conveying information is clear andunderstandable.
