Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis majas perbandingan serta makna yang tersirat dalam lirik lagu Band Iklim pada Album “Satu Kesan Abadi”. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mengenai analisis majas perbandingan  serta makna yang tersirat dalam lirik lagu. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah lirik lagu band Iklim pada album “Satu Kesan Abadi”berjumlah sepuluh lagu yaitu 1) Amarah. 2) Suci dalam debu, 3) Impian Hidup, 4) Hakikat Sebuah Cinta, 5)Kegelapan Dunia, 6) Bujang Kota, 7) Sandiwara Cinta Semusim, 8) Insan Maya, 9) Seribu Penghargaan, 10) Satu Kesan Abadi.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah teknik simak dan catat. Teknik simak yaitu menyimak lagu yang sudah dipilih dan diunduh, lalu dicatat, dianalisis sesuai kutipan lagu yang berdasarkan jenis majas perbandingan dan makna tersiratnya. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh berjumlah 45 data yang terdiri dari 20 data majas metafora, 1 data majas sinestesia, 3 data majas simile, 2 data majas alegori, 1 data majas antonomasia, 7 data majas hiperbola, 1 data majas litotes, 2 data majas personifikasi, 1 data majas sinekdoke (pars pro toto), 1 data majas eufemisme, dan 6 data majas simbolik. Berdasarkan teori, jenis majas perbandingan  berjumlah 17, tetapi hasil penelitian yang ditemukan hanya ada 11 jenis majas perbandingan dalam lirik lagu band Iklim pada album “Satu Kesan Abadi”. Secara keseluruhan, majas yang paling dominan adalah majas metafora. Makna yang ditemukan dalam hasil analisis yaitu makna leksikal dan makna kiasan. Kata kunci: Majas Perbandingan, Makna, Lirik Lagu Band Iklim

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk  mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa dan teknik stand up yang digunakan komika Stand Up Indo Medan. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah gaya bahasa yang digunakan komika Stand Up Indo Medan dan teknik Stand Up Indo Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara  teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui teknik simak, teknik catat, teknik dokumentasi.   Berdasarkan analisis data, ditemukan beberapa ujaran gaya bahasa dari komika Stand Up Indo Medan adalah gaya bahasa hiperbola, gaya bahasa sarkasme,gaya bahasa personifikasi, gaya bahasa sinisme, gaya bahasa metonimia, dan gaya bahasa ironi. Teknik yang digunakan  komika Stand Up Indo Medan ketika tampil stand up comedy adalah teknik act out, teknik callback, teknik one liner, teknik rule of three, teknik riffing , dan teknik impersonation. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya beberapa gaya bahasa yang ditemukan dari setiap komika, dan teknik yang  digunakan ketika tampil stand up comedy  di atas panggung.Kata kunci: Gaya Bahasa, Teknik, Stand Up Comedy, Ujaran, Komika

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji jenis-jenis dan makna penggunaan majas sindiran dalam konten video youtube Arif Muhammad. Teori yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini ialah teori majas sindiran Keraf. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik simak dan catat. Teknik ini digunakan agar memperoleh data secara rinci dan menyeluruh. Dari hasil penelitian, didapatkan 115 penggunaan majas sindiran dalam ungkapan antar tokoh dalam konten video youtube Arif Muhammad. Jenis majas yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah majas sarkasme sebanyak 71 ungkapan, selanjutnya diikuti majas sinisme sebanyak 40 ungkapan, dan yang paling terendah ialah majas ironi sebanyak 4 ungkapan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna penggunaan majas sindiran yang terdapat pada konten video youtube Arif Muhammad yaitu untuk menciptakan efek emotif tertentu dan meningkatkan makna serta kesannya terhadap seseorang yang mendengar. Abstract

This study aimed to develop teaching materials for literary texts based on local wisdom culture of North Sumatera at Grade VII semester 2 and the digitalization of the learning. The literary teaching materials developed were folk poetry, fable, and fictional texts. This study used the Research & Development method referring to the 4-D model developed by Thigaranjan et al.  This model consists of four development steps such as define, design, develop, and the disseminate. The data in this study was analysed by using descriptive qualitative analysis.  The validation on the teaching materials developed was carried out by 3 experts, namely material expert, language expert, and media experts. Furthermore, the teaching materials developed was tested on preliminary field and main field testing for Junior High Schools (SMP) relevant with the model of research method used. The study results showed that the teaching materials got excellent qualification in content validation (91.06%), excellent qualification in language validation (90%), excellent qualification on media expert validation (89.76%), excellent qualification on learning practitioner validation (95%), and excellent qualification on student response trials (88.98%). Thus, from the results of the research conducted, it can be concluded that the teaching material developed is "valid" which means that it is suitable to use as Indonesian literary texts teaching material based on local wisdom of North Sumatera at grade VII Semester 2.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan pengaruh model pembelajaran example non examples terhadap kemampuan menulis teks persuasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 37 Medan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 37 Medan yang terdiri dari 8 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 245 orang. Sampel diambil secara acak sebanyak 60 orang, 30 orang untuk kelas eksperimen dan 30 orang untuk kelas kontrol. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain two group post-test design, dengan instrumen penelitian berupa penugasan membuat teks persuasi. Nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 70,23, sedangkan untuk kelas eksperimen adalah 80,23. Dengan demikian, dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai rata-rata kemampuan menulis teks persuasi kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Jadi , dapat disimpulkan bahwa model example non examples memberikan pengaruh yang lebih baik daripada model konvensional terhadap kemampuan menulis teks persuasi siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 37 Medan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low speaking skills of students in retelling fable texts which are influenced by several factors. This study aims to determine the effect of the paired storytelling learning model on students' speaking skills in retelling fables in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Tigabinanga. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a two-group posttest only design. The population in this study were all students of class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Tigabinanga totaling 210 people and the sample of this study was students of class VII 3 experimental class with a total of 31 students and VII 4 as a control class with a total of 30 students. The data analysis technique used in this study is quantitative data by testing the analysis requirements, homogeneity test, homogeneity, and hypothesis test. The results of the study in the experimental class obtained an average value of 82.90 in the good category, while the results of the study in the control class at an average value of 53.50 were in the very poor category. Based on the test of equality of average values, it is known that the experimental class has a higher value than the control class with a difference of 29.4%. Based on the t-test that has been carried out, the value at the significance level α = 0.05 is obtained, the value of the t-table provision is 1.67109 and the result of t count = 10.8110. Then the hypothesis t-test> t-test, namely 10.8110> 1.67109, so that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. In terms of consistency, it can be concluded that learning by using the paired storytelling model has a positive and significant effect on the skills of telling the contents of fable texts of class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Tigabinanga.

Abstract

This study aims (1) to analyze the skills of writing fable texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Pinem for the 2022/2023 academic year using the conventional learning model; (2) To analyze the skills of writing fable texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Pinem for the 2022/2023 Academic Year using the Concept Sentence learning model; (3) To analyze the effect of the Concept Sentence learning model in improving the skills of writing fable texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Pinem Academic Year 2022/2023. The method used in this research is the experimental method of two group post-test design. The population in this study were all students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Pinem. The population of class VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Pinem for the 2022/2023 academic year is 108 students divided into 4 classes. Of the 108 students, the samples in this study were class VII-A which consisted of 27 students and class VII-C which consisted of 27 students. In this study, the researcher made class VII-A as the experimental class, while class VII-C was the control class. The data analysis technique used in this study is quantitative data by using analysis requirements test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the average value of the fable text writing skills of the experimental class students was 83.96 belonging to the good category while the average value of the control class was 62.25 belonging to the sufficient category and did not meet the Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM), namely 75. Based on the t test, the significance level value α = 0.05 and n = 27 is obtained, ttable = 2.056. Thus it can be concluded that tcount > ttable, that is, 8.68 > 2.056, so the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. This proves that there is a significant effect of using the Concept Sentence learning model on the skills of writing fable texts for class VII students of SMP Negeri 1 Tanah Pinem for the 2022/2023 academic year.

The research design used was a pre-experimentall designi with one group pretest-posttest. The population of this study were all students of class VIII SMP Santa Lucia Sei Rotan Private Middle Schooll. The sample of this research was 31 students of class VIII-2 by purposivei sampling. The resultsi of this study were analyzed usingi descriptive and inferential statistical analysis.

Abstract

Indonesian as the national language and official language of the country plays an important role in people's lives, especially in the field of education. However, along with developments in technology and pop culture, the use of Indonesian among generation Z and millennials has experienced significant changes. Generation Z (born 1996–2012) and the millennial generation (born 1980–2000) are more likely to adopt foreign languages ​​and practice code-switching or code-mixing, which influences the rules for good and correct use of Indonesian. Digital technology, especially social media, as well as global pop culture, such as the Korean Wave, have accelerated this shift in language rules. This research aims to identify factors that influence the shift in Indonesian language rules among Gen Z and millennials. Using a literature review method, this research analyzes literature that discusses the phenomenon of language use by the younger generation. The research results show that social media, social media, prestige, advertising and pop culture trends are the main factors that trigger shifts in language rules. This research provides insight into how technological developments and pop culture play a role in language change, as well as providing suggestions for maintaining the continuity of Indonesian language rules.

Abstract

This research aims to, (1) determine the process of developing teaching materials explanatory text assisted by the Canva application, (2) describes the shape development of explanatory text teaching materials assisted by the Canva application, (3) measuring the feasibility of developing assisted explanatory text teaching materials Canva application for class VIII students. This research uses samples as many as 30 students in class VIII-3 at SMP Al-Washliyah 30 Sukoharjo Medan with the research and development (R&D) method developed by Sugiyono 2017 with stages of potential and problems, data collection, design product, product validation, product revision, and product testing. Instruments that used inthis research is the Likert scale on the material validation questionnaire, media, teacher assessment, and student responses. The research results show that Explanatory text teaching materials assisted by the Canva application for class VIII SMP students including the "very good" criteria which can be seen from the validation of the material to obtain a score 94.25% in the "very good" category, media validation received a score of 95% with the "very good" category, and the teacher's assessment of the subject area received a score 97.5% in the "very good" category. Therefore it can be concluded that Explanatory text teaching materials assisted by the Canva application are suitable for use in the learning process.
