Abstract

This research specifically aims to describe the personality structure and personality of the character Lucas Ford in the novel In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This type of research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive method, which collects and analyzes scientific data and then describes the facts in detail to determine the personality structure and personality of the character Lucas Ford in the novel In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan. The research studied is the personality structure and personalities of characters in literary works. This approach will provide an overview of the thought processes experienced by Lucas Ford in the form of id, ego, and superego personality structures, and in the form of choleric, melanchole, phlegma, and sanguine personalities. The results of the research show that Lucas Ford's personality structure in the novel In a Blue Moon Ilana Tan's work is Lucas Ford's id which tries to find pleasure, the ego which adheres to the principles of reality and reality while the superego tries to understand the needs of the id and ego. Lucas Ford's personality in the novel In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan is the more prominent of the four personalities, namely choleric (choleric). Lucas Ford's personality is wise, focused on goals, confident, firm, flammable, brave and honest. The choleric personality also has ego and superego personality structures.

Abstract

Conflict is a social process between two or more people who have their own interests and goals. Where one party tries to get rid of the other party by destroying it. Social conflict is a dispute or dispute that often occurs in society and has a perception of differences in interests or beliefs. Every individual definitely has their own goals and interests so that social conflict is an inevitable part of society. In studying and analyzing social conflict in literary works, another science is needed, namely literary sociology. This research aims to describe the motif of social conflict contained in the novel Laut Bercerita by Leila S Chudori. In analyzing the novel Laut Bercerita, the research used is literary sociology. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The qualitative descriptive method produces data in the form of words in the form of quotationsas problem solving. Based on the data results, motiv 2 triggers for social conflict were obtained from the concept of conflict theory according to Lewis A Coser in the Novel Laut Bercerita, namely: 1) realistic social conflict and 2) non-realistic conflict

Abstract

This study aims to describe the inner conflict of Livka's character in the novel Ingkar by Boy Candra. The method used is descriptive qualitative with simak catat technique. The theory applied is Kurt Lewin's conflict theory, which divides inner conflict into three types: (1) near-close conflict, which is when a person is faced with two positive choices; (2) near-far conflict, where one choice has both positive and negative aspects; and (3) far-far conflict, which is when a person is faced with two negative choices. The analysis was conducted by presenting, classifying, categorizing, and summarizing the data. The results show that Livka's character faces all three types of conflict in the novel Ingkar.

Abstract

This research uses literary sociology studies to describe the moral values in the novel Iyan Bukan Anak Tengah by Armaraher. This research uses the theory of moral values presented by Wicaksono with a qualitative descriptive method. The data is presented through quotations, narratives, and dialogue between characters that contain moral values. The data collection method is done using reading and recording techniques. The results of the study can conclude that the moral values contained in the novel Iyan Bukan Anak Tengah by Armaraher, first, human relationships with God include gratitude and belief in the existence of God. Second, man's relationship with himself includes patience, courtesy, honesty, self-esteem, longing, fear, resentment, loneliness, sadness, pessimism, and responsibility. Third, human relationships with other humans include caring for others, living in harmony, forgiving, helping, deliberating, respecting others, true love, and keeping promises. Fourth, human relationships with the universe include utilizing natural resources and protecting nature.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the spiritual values found in Jaquenza Eden's novel Dirgantara and Keulangan using a literary sociology approach. Where, spiritual values according to Notonegoro (in Setiadi and Usman, 2011: 125) are divided into four, namely truth values, beauty values, aesthetic values and religious values. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method with the main object data sources, namely the Novel Dirgantara and Homecoming by Jaquenza Eden. The data collection technique used in this research is using library study techniques with the application of heuristic methods. Based on the research results, it was found that there are many types of spiritual values contained in the novel Dirgantara and Kepulangan by Jaquenza Eden. The truth value in this research is divided into two parts, namely absolute truth and relative truth. Beauty Value, which originates from the element of feeling. Beauty value in this research is divided into two parts, namely authentic beauty and natural beauty. Moral Values, which originate from the element of will, especially in human behavior between assessing actions that are considered good or bad, noble or despicable according to the order that applies within that social group. In this case, moral values are divided into the values of awareness, patience,regret for working hard, apologizing, longing, joking, filial piety, mutual help, responsibility, gratitude, compassion, sharing and caring. Religious values are absolute values based on those established by religion, God and the holy books.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe the description of the dual personality experienced by the main character in the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data in this research are in the form of words, phrases, sentences that show a picture of the dual personality of the main character in the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini. The data source for this research is the novel Aku Tak Membenci Hujan by Sri Puji Hartini. Data collection techniques start from reading the novel repeatedly and marking and recording the data found. After data related to multiple personalities is collected, it will be applied in discussing the problem, providing solutions to the data obtained. The theory used is Siggmund Freud's Psychoanalysis. The results of the analysis obtained are that there is structure and a picture of multiple personalities in the characters, namely the presence of four different personality states, repetitive personalities controlling a person's behavior, there is a failure to recall important personal information that is too substantial to be considered ordinary forgetting, this disorder is not thought to occur due to the effects of substances psychoactive or general medical conditions, dissociative amnesia, and dissociative fugue.

Abstract

This research discusses the violence experienced by the character Aletta in the novel Alaskaletta by Didik Sabrullah using Johan Galtung's theory of violence in the study of literary sociology. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The data in this research are quotes from the novel Alaskaletta by Didik Sabrullah which depicts violence and discrimination through interactions between characters. Data collection techniques use library study techniques, listening techniques and note-taking techniques. The data in this research were analyzed using content analysis techniques and using a literary sociology approach. The data is presented in narrative form because each data is described based on the results of the research conducted. The results of the analysis show that Aletta experienced various forms of direct violence, including physical, verbal and psychological violence. The physical violence experienced by Aletta included slapping, pushing and other rough actions. Verbal violence manifests itself in the form of insults and insults, while psychological violence can be seen in threats, manipulation and harassment that demean Aletta's dignity. This research concludes that violence in various forms reflects injustice and domination in interpersonal and family relationships, and reflects cultural values that enable and justify acts of violence. This study underlines the importance of an in-depth understanding of the impact of violence in literary works and its relevance in a wider social and cultural context.

Abstract

Nilai moral merupakan suatu tingkah laku yang di perlihatkan oleh setiap individu berupa sikap positif maupun negatif. Turunnya tingkat kesadaran akan nilai moral dalam lingkungan anak mudah sangat prihatin, perkembangan zaman membuat nilai moral tidak lagi di terapkan dalam hidup bersosialisasi. Nilai moral sangat penting di terapkan supaya setiap individu memiliki nilai dalam dirinya sendiri. Seseorang yang berprilaku negatif akan memiliki nilai moral yang buruk, sebaliknya seseorang yang berperilaku baik akan mencerminkan nilai moral yang bersifat positif.
