Abstract

This study aims to describe the conflict resolution strategy in Pulang by Leila S Chudori. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. This type of research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive method, where collecting and analyzing scientific data then describing the facts in detail intends to find out the conflict resolution strategy in the novel Pulang by Leila S Chudori. To deal with this situation, individuals often use various conflict resolution strategies that reflect their personality, values, and social context. In the novel Pulang by Leila S. Chudori, there is a description of how the characters deal with various types of conflicts, both personal, social, and political. The research studied is the conflict resolution strategy used by characters in literary works. This approach provides an overview of the conflict resolution strategy used by characters in the novel Pulang with Pruitt and Rubin's theory, namely: (a) Contending (Contending) using authority or pressure to win a conflict or debate, resolving the conflict according to their wishes without regard to the interests of the other party. (b) Yielding (Giving in) Hananto's character lowers his aspirations or desires (to perhaps go out of town or abroad) in order to maintain harmonious relations and avoid further conflict with Surti., (c) Problem solving (Problem Solving) The parties who use this strategy maintain their own aspirations, but simultaneously seek ways to reconcile with the interests of the other party. Agreements in problem solving can be in the form of compromises, (d) Withdrawing (Withdrawing) the withdrawing strategy is implemented by leaving an increasingly heated debate, in the hope of avoiding emotional harm and keeping the situation from getting worse., and (e) Inaction (Silence) This strategy is temporary and can provide time for the parties involved to reflect or observe the development of the situation before making further decisions.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Ego Defense Mechanism of the main character in the novel "Belok Kiri Langsing" by Achi TM. Ego defense mechanisms are psychological strategies that individuals use to deal with conflict, stress and threats faced in everyday life. In this study, the research method used was qualitative analysis of the text of the novel "Belok Kiri Langsing" with a focus on the behavior and dialogue of the main character. Sigmund Freud's psychoanalytic theory is used as a theoretical framework to understand the various ego-protection mechanisms that the main character may use. The research results show that the main character uses various ego defense mechanisms, including repression, rationalization, and sublimation, to overcome the conflict and stress he experiences. Ego becomes the dominant mechanism used by the main character to suppress painful or threatening thoughts or feelings, while rationalization is used to justify the actions or decisions taken. The formation of sublimation appears as a mechanism that helps the main character divert his psychic energy to more constructive activities. This research contributes to the understanding of character characterization in the novel "Represi" and its relevance to psychoanalytic theory. The implications of this research can be used to deepen our understanding of the complexity of human psychology as reflected in literary works.

Abstract

This research specifically aims to describe the personality structure and personality of the character Lucas Ford in the novel In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. This type of research uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive method, which collects and analyzes scientific data and then describes the facts in detail to determine the personality structure and personality of the character Lucas Ford in the novel In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan. The research studied is the personality structure and personalities of characters in literary works. This approach will provide an overview of the thought processes experienced by Lucas Ford in the form of id, ego, and superego personality structures, and in the form of choleric, melanchole, phlegma, and sanguine personalities. The results of the research show that Lucas Ford's personality structure in the novel In a Blue Moon Ilana Tan's work is Lucas Ford's id which tries to find pleasure, the ego which adheres to the principles of reality and reality while the superego tries to understand the needs of the id and ego. Lucas Ford's personality in the novel In a Blue Moon by Ilana Tan is the more prominent of the four personalities, namely choleric (choleric). Lucas Ford's personality is wise, focused on goals, confident, firm, flammable, brave and honest. The choleric personality also has ego and superego personality structures.

Abstract

Conflict is a social process between two or more people who have their own interests and goals. Where one party tries to get rid of the other party by destroying it. Social conflict is a dispute or dispute that often occurs in society and has a perception of differences in interests or beliefs. Every individual definitely has their own goals and interests so that social conflict is an inevitable part of society. In studying and analyzing social conflict in literary works, another science is needed, namely literary sociology. This research aims to describe the motif of social conflict contained in the novel Laut Bercerita by Leila S Chudori. In analyzing the novel Laut Bercerita, the research used is literary sociology. The method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The qualitative descriptive method produces data in the form of words in the form of quotationsas problem solving. Abstract

This Community Service program aims to improve the speech skills of students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan and train to become extension agents in the health sector, especially in dealing with Covid-19. The method of increasing the ability to speak is carried out by the modeling method, namely by presenting a model in the form of figures who are considered skilled at speeches to be reviewed and imitated by good things from technique, voice or intonation, style or gesture, and others which are good requirements for speech. The results of this training are: (1) Improve the ability of students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan in making public speeches. (2) Increasing the sensitivity of students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan to conditions that threaten health in the surrounding environment. (3) Providing speech training for students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan. (4) Students of SMK Sentra Medika Medan learn to make speeches so that they are trained to become extension agents to overcome health problems, in this case, with COVID-19 material.

Abstract

This training aims to train students speaking abilities and skills at Kindergarten Tunas Harapan Binjai. Poetry training from an early age hones the ability to think imaginatively, interest in reading, courage to express thoughts and feelings from the sensory process through the five senses in an image. Training was carried out in four sessions. In the first session, counseling was carried out and poetry material was delivered by the service team. The second session, training participants were asked to see and explain pictures using the five senses. The third session, Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students composed a poem by presenting pictures. The fourth session, Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students performed poetry in front of other participants and trainers, namely the service team, who gave feedback to Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students. After all participants appeared, a competition was held between participants and then the best participants I, II and III were selected. The results of this poetry training are: (1) Training from an early age the thinking and imagination skills of Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students in poetry. (2) Training Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students' interest and talent in poetry from an early age. (3) Providing intensive poetry training for Tunas Harapan Kindergarten students.

Abstract

Nilai pendidikan karakter merupakan pembelajaran yang penting untuk menanam, memupuk, dan mengembangkan kepribadian anak agar menjadi orang yang bermatabat dan orang yang berkarakter yang baik. Sastra anak diyakini memiliki kontribusi bagi pengembangan kepribadian anak yang berperan dalam rangka pendidikan karakter. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan nilai pendidikan karakter apa saja yang terdapat dalam novel Anak-Anak Cahaya Karya Ramaditya Adikara dengan menggunakan kajian sastra anak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa novel Anak-Anak Cahaya Karya Ramaditya Adikara. Hasil dari penelitian ini terdapat delapan nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Anak-Anak Cahaya Karya Ramaditya Adikara yakni sebagai berikut: (1) religius, yaitu melaksanakan perintah Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, (2) jujur, yaitu bersikap jujur, baik dalam perkataan maupun perbuatan (3) kerja keras, yaitu pantang menyerah, dan semangat (4) kreatif, yaitu mengemukakan ide baru, dan membuat produk baru yang berbeda dari produk yang sudah ada (5) rasa ingin tahu, yaitu dengan bertanya (6) bersahabat, yaitu tidak membeda-bedakan teman dalam bergaul, dan bersikap ramah (7) peduli sosial, yaitu membantu orang yang membutuhkan pertolongan, dan (8) tanggung jawab mempertanggungjawabkan perkataan dan perbuatan.

Abstract

Konflik adalah kejadian yang tergolong penting dan menjadi unsur yang esensial dalam pengembangan plot pada sebuah teks fiksi. Peristiwa batin yang memunculkan perlawanan terhadap pikiran, hati, juga perasaan yang timbul dari diri seorang tokoh dalam karya sastra disebut dengan konflik batin. Konflik batin disebabkan oleh adanya dua atau lebih gagasan atau keinginan yang bertentangan menguasai diri individu sehingga memengaruhi tingkah laku. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konflik batin tokoh utama dalam novel Kerumunan Terakhir karya Okky Madasari. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam mencapai tujuan penelitian ini, penulis menganalisis novel Kerumunan Terakhir karya Okky Madasari dengan menggunakan bentuk-bentuk konflik batin menurut teori Kurt Lewin dalam pendekatan psikologi sastra. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya konflik batin yang dihadapi tokoh utama dalam novel Kerumunan Terakhir karya Okky Madasari, antara lain: 1) konflik mendekat-mendekat terjadi ketika Jaya sedang memikirkan Ibunya dan Maera. Secara bersamaan mereka mengharapkan kedatangan Jaya lewat pesan yang dikirimkan. Jaya memilih untuk bertemu Maera sebagai masa depannya; 2) konflik mendekat-menjauh membuat Jaya lebih memilih diam. Jaya selalu merasa tidak berdaya di hadapan orang lain dan ia yang tidak berusaha mewujudkan harapan dan keinginannya. Dalam konflik ini Jaya juga sering merasa tidak yakin apakah orang-orang yang dikenalnya di dunia maya benar-benar ada di dunia nyata; dan 3) konflik menjauh-menjauh muncul ketika Jaya merasa bingung, kecewa dan marah, curiga terhadap bapaknya sendiri, tidak berani mengungkapkan perasaan, rasa cemburu, tidak memiliki impian, tidak percaya diri, dan tidak mau mengakui kebohongannya sendiri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai sosial yang terkandung dalam novel Garis Waktu karya Fiersa Besari. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah novel Garis Waktu karya Fiersa Besari dengan fokus penelitian yaitu nilai-nilai sosial yang dikaji dengan pendekatan sosiologi sastra yang mengacu pada teori Zubaedi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan beberapa langkah, yaitu: 1) Membaca; 2) Memahami isi cerita; 3) Mencari dan mencatat data teks; dan 4) Data-data yang sudah terkumpul kemudian akan dianalisis berkaitan dengan isu yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut: Nilai-nilai sosial yang terdapat dalam novel Garis Waktu karya Fiersa Besari yaitu nilai sosial kasih sayang berupa pengabdian dan kesetiaan, lalu nilai sosial tanggung jawab berupa rasa memiliki, disiplin, dan empati. Terakhir yaitu nilai sosial keserasian hidup berupa toleransi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan konflik batin yang dialami tokoh Toba, 2) mendeskripsikan faktor-faktor penyebab konflik batin tokoh Toba. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah naskah drama Janji Putri Ikan karya Russel Akbar Fauzi dengan fokus penelitian konflik batin tokoh Toba dan faktor penyebab konflik yang dikaji dengan pendekatan psikologi sastra yang mengacu pada teori Kurt Lewin. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik wawancara yang kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Terakhir dilakukan analisis data terhadap kalimat-kalimat dalam teks naskah drama yang berkaitan dengan isu yang diajukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hal-hal sebagai berikut: Konflik batin yang dialami tokoh Toba dalam naskah drama, yaitu kebimbangan, pertentangan, kekecewaan. Sedangkan faktor penyebab konflik dalam naskah drama Janji Putri Ikan karya Russel Akbar Fauzi adalah a) perbedaan antar perorangan, b) perbedaan kebudayaan, dan 3) Bentrokan kepentingan.
