Abstract

Stored data is increasing in volume. Various data compression algorithms have been researched and developed. The purpose of this study was to compare the performance of the Huffman Algorithm and the Shannon-Fano Algorithm. A comparison of the performance of the compression algorithm is done by testing each image file. The application used to test was built using C ++. Four image file types will be tested using the application that has been built. The file being tested considers the image file type as a compression object. The current image file tends to increase in terms of file size. The results of testing the four image files obtained contain many symbols and frequencies in determining the value of data entropy. The same file tested using the Huffman Algorithm produces better compression gain. The Fish.bmp file uses the Huffman 2.0% algorithm and uses the Shannon-Fano algorithm 1.7%. The greater the entropy, the smaller the gain obtained. For example, the white.bmp file entropy: 0.19693 using the Huffman Algorithm can gain 85.2%. entropy Fish.bmp file 6.87332 can get a 2.0% gain.

Abstract

Current population information is an important part of an area. UU no. 32 of 2004 regulating regional autonomy shows that the quantity of population must be increased from all aspects. Bantul Regency has a majority of population systems at the dukuh or RW level that have not yet been computerized. Currently the obstacle faced is inaccurate information. the government has difficulty in providing counseling, development stimulant funds and welfare of various real sec-tors. Other problems aim to facilitate the implementation of reconstruction and rehabilitation of dukuh or RW-level areas. Pedukuhan Plawonan has ten RT. Currently Plawonan hamlet has approximately 1000 counts of souls consisting of various ages that are still not well recorded. This research intends to overcome these problems. This research attempts to complete using the Relational Database model. With SIMDUK that has been built by the RW, the village can easily obtain the required information quickly, precisely and accurately.

Abstract

Food as a basic human need whose fulfillment is a basic human right of all Indonesian people must always be available at all times, safe, and diverse at prices that are affordable by people's purchasing power. The issue of scarcity of staple commodities is of serious concern to the Government. The problem is compounded when the community has to implement social restrictions (social distancing) during the Covid-19 disaster response period. During the Covid-19 pan-demic, it had a very broad impact, one of which required residents to worship at their homes during the holy month of Ramadan. The Takmir Mosque of Assalaam Management issued a policy to continue to hold takjil activities. The takjil activity carried out was to provide staples to be distributed to the Assalaam mosque as a menu to break the fast. To support the distribution of staples, community service this time built a web-based information system to manage the distribution of staples for Assalaam Mosque worshipers. This information system is used to monitor the number of recipients of staples, and the distribution is carried out in three stages, at the first stage on April 26, 2020, a number of 173 packages, the second stage on May 5, 2020, a number of 205 packages, and the third stage on May 18, 2020, 205 packages.

Abstract

Association is one of the methods in data mining, which is looking for a similar pattern in data transactions or certain items that often appear. So that the supermarket manager can determine in making decisions on the pattern of items purchased together and often appears in the database. In order to generate patterns from association rules, there are several algorithms that can be used. First pioneered by the AIS Algorithm, then increased memory performance by the Apriori algorithm. The Apriori algorithm process involves several steps. Such as determining the minimum support, confidence, candidate itemset. The process continues until the pattern is obtained according to the support and confidence criteria of the minimum threshold value. Most of the algorithms used to find patterns of association rules start with the Apriori algorithm, then progress to the Apriori series algorithm. But there are two obstacles to the Apriori algorithm. One of them is the process of making complex candidates that mostly require time, space, and memory. Another problem is the repeated scanning of large-scale databases.

Abstract

The problem faced by elementary school teachers in Era 4.0 is the use of technology in the learning and administration process. Facts in schools there are still many teachers who do not have the expertise, skills, and skills in preparing to learn. This is reflected in the very little knowledge that teachers have about learning technology, the low level of teacher innovation in computer utilization, the low ability and interest of teachers in computer software and applications, and the impact of the internet that provides everything instantly. The purpose of community service activities is to meet the needs of students and teachers in the learning process so that learning activities become more effective and efficient. The method used in community service with a priority scale. This is because the problems in these service activities are limited to the use and use of technology for learning activities and supporting teacher administration. The types of programs implemented in this training activity include the Microsoft Word Program, Microsoft Excel Program, Open Shoot Program, Hypercam Program, and e-Learning Program. The results of community service training activities are able to make teaching materials using Microsoft Word, create video learning media using Open Shoot, manage learning materials from the internet using Hypercam, manage learning materials, learning media, and evaluate learning using Elearning, and process Student daily grades using Microsoft Excel.

Abstract

Internet technology is one part of information technology. The internet can make it easy for anyone to obtain large amounts of data. The abundance of data raises the question of What knowledge can be generated from this data or information?. To gain knowledge from the abundant chunks of data, it can be solved by the method described in the data mining field. The description method is used to describe and describe the patterns of consumer spending. Sales data always has a high number of transactions every day. This large amount of transaction data can be found in the knowledge of the patterns of goods being sold. Data mining has many methods or algorithms that can explore various knowledge. This study seeks to find patterns in consumer transaction data using descriptive methods using Borland Delphi 7.0 and MySQL database. The results of this study can display knowledge-based information in the form of information on average values, mean values, mode values, levels of data diversity, and graphs.

Abstract

Terracotta is clay that is processed through several stages until it becomes ceramic handicraft items. Example of terracotta in Kab. Bantul Yogyakarta is located in Kasongan, Kasihan, Bantul. However, in Yogyakarta, there are also several companies engaged in the terracotta sector, which are able to produce independently and then export the results. Currently, the obstacles faced by several terracotta companies in Kab. Bantul Yogyakarta is an irregular and well-administered production data processing process. The main cause is the location or area of ​​the Production Section which is limited and there are no clear dividing boundaries between subsections. Each subsection can claim that the existing data belongs to the relevant subsection. This causes the physical data and data in the administration to be incompatible. Moreover, the process of transferring goods continues even at night. Where in this condition, the transfer of goods may not be recorded properly. To overcome these problems, in this study the constraints in the terracotta company were taken as material in making a prototype application system that is able to process terracotta data well. The result of this research is the realization of an information system to monitor the movement of pottery in the production section. The system can work well even though communication between subsections becomes an obstacle related to the number of pottery stocks produced.

Abstract

This study analyzes the PMB data in 2016. The PMB process at XYZ University has several paths, namely Regular, Transfer, and Bidikmisi. When the PMB process difficulties are encountered one of them is the number of prospective students who do not register again is increasing. Based on the identification of problems and information from officers the most important thing is the number of prospective students who do not re-register is increasing every year, thus affecting the impact of the number of PMB receipts. This study resolves these problems using the Bayesian Classification Algorithm so that the opportunity to re-register students can be known earlier. Based on the research conducted, it was concluded that the TDU class was 55% greater than the 45% DU class. This means that prospective students who do not completely re-register all study programs are larger. It was explained that PBSJ study programs 100% no prospective students who re-register. The Economic Education study program still has the opportunity of 75% of prospective students who are DU. 100% Physics Education study program no prospective students register. The Civil Engineering study program has a 25% chance that prospective students will be DU. The Agribusiness Study Program has the opportunity of 75% of prospective students doing DU. The 90% Animal Husbandry Study Program has no chance for prospective students to register. The Psychology study program has the same opportunities as the Animal Husbandry study program which is 90%, there is no chance that prospective students register. For the Law study program, it is possible for 90% of prospective students to register.

Abstract

Agricultural land is currently increasingly narrow, so agricultural technology develops hydroponic crop models. The microcontroller in the Arduino UNO unit is also growing so that the Internet of Things technology is increasingly rapid and widely used in life. The problem of narrow land used for plants requires soil moisture as needed. This can be solved using Arduino UNO as a data acquisition system and the YL-69 sensor as a soil moisture reading tool.This study aims to implement the YL-69 sensor and Arduino UNO to detect whether the soil media used in the hydroponic plant model is moist or dry. The sketch used is Arduino 1.8.0 software. Then the Fritzing software is used to create a circuit schema. The series tests were performed on both dry and wet soil conditions. This research was in the form of a watering plant prototype. When the dry media is detected, the sensor will send data to the Arduino UNO unit, then the microcontroller on the Arduino UNO gives instructions to the Mini Submersible Water Pump to irrigate the soil.The results showed the YL-69 sensor was able to detect dry soil conditions. Data sent to the serial monitor is in the form of a data string that is "Dry Conditions" or "Humid Conditions". This means that prototypes of watering plants and measuring soil moisture have been successful. However, further research is still needed to find out how much moisture the soil media. So the prototype can regulate the performance of the Mini Submersible Water Pump in delivering water to plant media.

Abstract

Communication without cable / wireless (wireless) has become a basic necessity or a new lifestyle of the information society. Wireless LAN, better known as Wi-Fi networks, is an alternative technology and is relatively easy to implement in a work environment. Installation of Wi-Fi network devices is more flexible because it does not require a cable connection between computers. An access point is a device commonly used in a wireless network (Hotspot area) where a user or users connect to the internet using air media through an access point device. In addition, this wireless-based network makes it easier for people to access the internet wherever they are. The implementation of this network installation consists of installing an RJ-45 connector on the UTP cable, configuring the router, configuring the Access Point, configuring the MikroTik HotSpot Server, and managing the user using the user manager feature. With the user manager-based HotSpot wireless network in a residential area, it will make it easier for residential residents to access the internet at a relatively low cost.
