Abstract

This research aimed to evaluate the implementation of individual counseling results at Muhammadiyah 3 Yogyakarta Senior High School. Evaluation model used was gap (discrepancy evaluation model). In addition, population in this research was students who had attended individual counseling. Furthermore, research samples were 104 students, obtained by using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Data collection used was individual counseling scale. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics. Findings indicated that the majority of individual counseling results was in good criteria.

Abstract

Politik hukum merupakan orientasi strategis negara dalam pembentukan peraturan perundang-undangan yang responsif terhadap nilai keadilan, demokrasi, dan kesejahteraan rakyat. Dalam prosesnya, hukum tidak sekadar menjadi produk teknokratis, tetapi juga mencerminkan kepentingan kekuasaan dan konfigurasi politik. Oleh karena itu, pembentukan peraturan perundang-undangan nasional perlu dikaji melalui pendekatan sistem hukum nasional yang mencakup substansi, struktur, dan kultur hukum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami keterkaitan antara politik hukum dan pembentukan peraturan perundang-undangan serta mengidentifikasi arah pembenahan sistem politik hukum nasional yang ideal. Metode yang digunakan adalah yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa politik hukum harus dirancang dalam kerangka negara hukum, negara kesatuan, dan demokrasi, serta harus disertai dengan reformasi substansi, struktur, dan budaya hukum secara simultan.

Abstract

The preservation of regional languages faces serious challenges in the era of modernization, particularly for students with disabilities, who are still rarely the focus of regional language revitalization programs. This study aims to develop educational game-based learning media in the form of Snake and Ladder and Literary Monopoly games and to examine their effectiveness in improving the linguistic literacy of students with disabilities. The study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach, encompassing stages of media design, limited implementation, and evaluation of learning outcomes. The research subjects were 11 junior high school–level students from a Special School (Sekolah Luar Biasa/SLB) in Samarinda City. Data were collected through observation, pre-tests and post-tests, and activity documentation. The results indicate an improvement in students’ understanding of Kutai Malay vocabulary and culture following the use of the learning media. The Snake and Ladder and Literary Monopoly media were found to be adaptive, engaging, and effective as linguistic learning tools for students with disabilities. This study recommends further development of game-based learning media as an inclusive strategy for regional language revitalization.

Abstract

Globalization and increasing cultural mobility have transformed contemporary counseling practice, challenging models that assume cultural homogeneity between counselors and clients. While multicultural counseling frameworks have contributed to greater cultural awareness, they often conceptualize culture in static and categorical terms. This study aims to examine evolving paradigms of intercultural counseling by moving beyond descriptive multicultural models toward a relational and interpretive understanding of counseling practice. Using a qualitative interpretive design, this study conducted a critical literature review of scholarly works on multicultural and intercultural counseling published between 2015 and 2024. The selected literature was analyzed through a hermeneutic–thematic approach informed by phenomenological principles to explore how counselors engage with cultural difference in practice. The analysis identified four interrelated dimensions shaping intercultural counseling encounters: constructions of self and identity, culturally embedded interpretations of psychological distress, expectations toward the counselor–client relationship, and socio-economic conditions associated with migration experiences. These dimensions highlight the limitations of culturally neutral or universally applied counseling models and emphasize the importance of interaction, reflexivity, and contextual sensitivity.The study concludes that an intercultural counseling perspective provides a more comprehensive framework for understanding contemporary counseling practice in culturally diverse contexts. By conceptualizing culture as dynamic and relational, this approach offers theoretical and practical insights for developing counseling practices that are responsive to increasing cultural complexity in a globalized world

Abstract

This study was initiated in response to a problem identified at SMP Negeri 29 Samarinda, East Kalimantan, where several students who were victims of verbal bullying experienced difficulties in establishing social relationships with their classmates. At this developmental stage, students should ideally be able to interact with peers to build meaningful relationships that may benefit them in the future. The purpose of this research is to explore the social impact experienced by students who are victims of verbal bullying. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The primary informants consist of three female students, aged 14 years, from grades 9A, 9B, and 9C. Data collection was conducted through interviews involving the Guidance and Counseling teacher, homeroom teachers, class representatives, and the students themselves, along with observation and documentation. The data analysis technique employed an interactive model consisting of four stages: data reduction, data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research findings contained four themes, namely communication, peer social relations, social isolation, and cooperation. Keywords: Verbal Bullying, Social Relationships

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of student aggression after providing group counseling services with behavior contract techniques. The research design used was action research in guidance and counseling (PTBK) consisting of 2 cycles and each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The sample in this study amounted to 5 students selected using purposive sampling. Data collection using psychological scales of aggressive behavior, interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the initial assessment analysis using a psychological scale before being given group counseling services with behavior contract techniques showed an average score of 97.4 including in the high category while the results of the assessment analysis after the provision of behavior contract group counseling services cycle 2 showed an average score of 75.8 including in the low category. Based on the results of interviews and observations that have been made, there are changes after being given behavior contract counseling services where aggressive behavior by students has begun to decrease. This research is expected to be an input for strategies in reducing aggressive behavior for further research.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan karir di SMA Negeri 5 Samarinda. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif untuk memperoleh pemahaman mendalam mengenai praktik layanan yang dilaksanakan. Sumber data terdiri atas dua guru bimbingan dan konseling sebagai informan utama serta enam siswa sebagai informan pendukung. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara semi terstruktur, observasi langsung, dan dokumentasi yang relevan dengan pelaksanaan layanan. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan lima tema utama. Pertama, bentuk layanan bimbingan karir yang mencakup layanan klasikal, layanan informasi berbasis media, dan layanan konsultasi individual. Kedua, struktur bimbingan karir yang telah dilaksanakan secara terencana, sistematis, dan terprogram sesuai dengan kebijakan sekolah. Ketiga, strategi guru bimbingan dan konseling yang disesuaikan dengan jenjang dan kebutuhan siswa, penggunaan media pendukung, serta pendekatan interaktif untuk membangun kedekatan dengan siswa. Keempat, respon siswa terhadap layanan bimbingan karir menunjukkan sikap yang sangat positif dan antusias. Kelima, kendala layanan yang meliputi keterbatasan waktu, evaluasi program yang belum optimal, serta stigma negatif terhadap ruang bimbingan dan konseling. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan bimbingan karir telah berjalan secara terstruktur dan sistematis melalui layanan klasikal, konsultasi individual, dan penyediaan informasi berbasis media. Program disusun berdasarkan Asesmen Kebutuhan Peserta Didik dan didukung keterlibatan guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam proses SNBP sebagai layanan instrumental. Meskipun demikian, diperlukan penguatan evaluasi dan sosialisasi layanan agar kebermanfaatannya semakin optimal bagi seluruh siswa di sekolah secara berkelanjutan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi rujukan pengembangan layanan bimbingan karir di sekolah menengah secara nasional.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of student study time management before and after being given group guidance services with simulation games techniques. The simulation games technique is used with the media of the traditional game engklek to create a fun learning atmosphere with cultural elements. This type of research is a pre-experiment with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest design. The population in this study were students of class X-5 SMA Negeri 4 Samarinda, totaling 34 students, with 8 subjects. Sampling using purposive sampling. The results showed that there was an increase in study time management after attending group guidance services with simulation games techniques using the traditional game media engklek. The average pretest result of 89.25 increased to 94.37 on the posttest. The t-test results show that the sig value is 0.002 <0.05 which indicates a difference between the pretest and posttest results.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of empathy among students at SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda, as revealed by preliminary observations and interviews. The study aimed to determine whether neglectful parenting patterns had an effect on student empathy at SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda. It used a quantitative approach with an ex-post facto research design. The population in this study consisted of 67 students from grades 7 and 8 who were obtained from the results of a screening test. The sample in this study used a saturated sample. The data analysis technique in this study used a simple linear regression test with the help of SPSS for Windows version 26. The results showed that F = 30.406 > 3.99 with Sig. 0.000 < 0.05, so H_a was accepted. The results proved that there was a significant effect of neglectful parenting on empathy, with a regression coefficient of -0.353, indicating a negative effect. This means that the higher the neglectful parenting pattern, the lower the empathy among students at SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda. Conversely, the lower the neglectful parenting pattern, the higher the empathy among students at SMP Negeri 21 Samarinda.

Abstract

This study aims to enchance student’s career planning skills through the implementantion of the mind mapping technique in classical guidance services for grade VIII D student’s at SMP Negeri 29 Samarinda. The research employed the Guidance and Counseling Action Research (PTBK) approach, conductes in two cycles consisting of planning, action, observation and reflection phases. The participants were 26 student’s selelcted based on the student needs analysis (AKPD), in which the career planning aspect was identified as the highest priority. Data were collected using a career planning scale and interviews, and analyzed descriptively through both quantitative and qualitative methods. The findings indicated an improvement in the average score 103,07 in the first cycle to 153 in the second cycle, categorized as high. Therefore, it can be concluded that the application of the mind mapping technique within classical guidance services is effective in improving student’s career planning abilities.
