Abstract

Human embryonic development constitutes one of the most intensively studied domains in biomedical science; however, interdisciplinary engagement connecting modern embryology with Qur'ānic descriptions of human creation remains markedly underrepresented in the indexed literature. This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of scientific publications on human embryonic development (2016–2026), integrating modern medical perspectives with Qur'ānic teachings to map scholarly output, identify dominant themes, and delineate gaps in interdisciplinary inquiry. A systematic search of the Scopus database using the query "human embryonic development" yielded 7,860 records. Metadata—including title, author, affiliation, publication year, source, keywords, and citation counts—were exported in CSV format and analysed using Biblioshiny in R-Studio to generate publication trends, country–author–keyword Sankey diagrams, and institutional affiliation maps. Data quality was excellent, with 0% missing data across core metadata fields. China and the United States were the dominant contributing nations; the University of California (n = 587), the University of Cambridge (n = 420), and the Chinese Academy of Sciences (n = 343) led institutional output. Research topics clustered around molecular biology, genetics, and experimental animal models. Sankey diagrams confirm a critical gap: the absence of explicit integration between contemporary embryological science and Qur'ānic embryological terminology. Confluence analysis reveals that 'Alaqah (4.5/5.0) and Nutfah (4.0/5.0) exhibit the strongest correspondence with modern embryological stages. This study underscores the urgent need for interdisciplinary frameworks bridging biomedical science and Islamic theology. Its primary contribution is a bibliometric map identifying underexplored research opportunities—particularly the systematic alignment of Qur'ānic embryological terminology with modern morphological and molecular indicators.

Abstract

The library at State Senior High School 1 Bandar Surabaya has a floor area of 150 square meters and features areas such as book shelves, reading tables, and a visitor registration desk, as well as a computer lab located near the library. In general, the library’s floor area meets national library standards. However, the collection size still falls short of the minimum standard 360 titles compared to the required minimum of 1,000 titles with a student population of 287. This study aims to analyze the use of the library as a learning space in developing a culture of literacy among students at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Surabaya. This study used a qualitative approach, with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the library has been utilized as a source of information, a place for independent and group study, and a space for student literacy activities. This utilization is supported by the library's comfortable physical condition and the role of teachers in guiding students to utilize the library in the learning process. However, the research findings also indicate that library utilization remains at a functional stage, namely as a provider of learning resources and activity space, and has not yet fully developed into a literacy space that encourages critical thinking and in-depth information processing. Furthermore, limited technological facilities and policies restricting device use create a paradox: the library serves as a primary source of book-based literacy, but is not yet optimal in supporting students' digital literacy. Theoretically, this study contributes to strengthening the understanding that library utilization as a learning space is a process that depends not only on the availability of facilities, but also on the integration of physical space, learning activities, social interactions, and structured pedagogical support. These findings point to the development of a gradual model for school library utilization, moving from its basic function as an information provider to a more integrative role as an active and contextual literacy learning space. Thus, this research has implications for strengthening school-based literacy ecosystems by optimizing the library's role as a center for learning and developing students' literacy culture.

Abstract

Abstract

Interior design is the planning and design of a building's interior spaces. The comfort of a space is an important factor that shapes library users' perceptions and experiences. This comfort can be realized through aspects of interior design. Therefore, the role of interior design in providing comfort, beauty, and functionality of spaces needs special attention so that the library remains relevant to the needs of modern society. This study aims to determine effective interior design strategies in creating comfort for library users at the KPw Bank Indonesia (BI) Lampung Library. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through structured interviews. The researcher tests the data's validity using triangulation to enhance its credibility and validity regarding the role of interior design in creating comfort at the KPw Bank Indonesia (BI) Lampung Library, through a combination of interviews, observations, and documentation. The research informants consist of librarians and library users selected through purposive sampling. The research results indicate that the comfort of library users at the KPw Bank Indonesia (BI) Lampung Library is influenced by several main aspects: color, spatial arrangement, and the facility. Optimal physical conditions, such as adequate natural lighting and a stable room temperature, have been proven to create a calm atmosphere. The right choice of colors can create visual comfort and enhance concentration, while a functional spatial arrangement facilitates user activities.
