Abstract

The Islamic arts learning model holds a strategic position in the education of prospective madrasah teachers as it fosters spirituality, strengthens moral character, and bridges local wisdom with the vision of global education. This study aims to formulate an Islamic arts learning model grounded in an ethnopedagogical approach within the context of the Islamic Elementary Teacher Education Program (PGMI). Using a descriptive qualitative conceptual method, data were obtained through classroom observations, document analysis (lesson plans and teaching notes), and a comprehensive review of national and international literature. The findings indicate that Islamic arts learning in PGMI remains fragmented and tends to emphasize technical skills, with limited integration of Islamic values in the character-building process. The ethnopedagogical approach proves effective in offering contextual, participatory, and socially grounded learning experiences for students. The proposed model comprises four interrelated components: 1) Islamic values as the foundational principle, 2) participatory pedagogical strategies, 3) Islamic artistic expression as a medium for value internalization, and 4) affective–reflective assessment focusing on character formation. This study contributes to the strengthening of Islamic character education in PGMI through a holistic, applicable, and contextually relevant framework for Islamic arts learning in the 21st century.

Abstract

The rapid development of artificial intelligence in music software during the Society 5.0 era has significantly transformed how students approach music arrangement. Automated features and generative systems enable students to produce sonically complex works in a short time. However, this condition also gives rise to a phenomenon known as the illusion of competence, in which convincing musical output is not necessarily accompanied by a solid understanding of underlying musical structures. This study aims to describe how the instructor's role needs to be redefined through a creative pedagogical approach in response to these changes. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method, combining literature review and classroom observation of arrangement learning supported by music software. The findings indicate that instructors can no longer function merely as technical trainers. Instead, they need to act as post-algorithmic aesthetic validators, guiding students to reflect on and justify their musical decisions. The study highlights that integrating AI into music education may accelerate sound production while simultaneously shortening the development of musical reasoning, if not balanced by critical pedagogical intervention. Redefining the instructor’s role, therefore, becomes essential to ensure that arrangement learning cultivates musical awareness rather than merely operational proficiency with digital systems.

Abstract

Environmental awareness has emerged as a strategic response to the triple planetary crisis of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity loss. Despite the rapid growth of related research, studies remain fragmented across disciplines, creating inconsistencies in concepts and measurement. This study aims to map research trends, effective teaching approaches, and key variables associated with environmental awareness in education through a bibliometric-based systematic literature review of Scopus-indexed publications from 2000–2025. Using PRISMA procedures and VOSviewer analysis, 43 selected articles were examined to identify publication patterns, keyword networks, and dominant research themes. The findings reveal a significant increase in publications, particularly after 2023, indicating growing global attention to environmental awareness as a priority research topic. Social sciences dominate the field, yet the literature shows strong interdisciplinary expansion involving environmental science, technology, energy, and health. Effective interventions include sustainability-based environmental education, learner-centered and participatory learning, knowledge–attitude–behavior frameworks, and technology-enhanced strategies such as gamification. Key associated variables include educational context, sustainability, environmental knowledge, attitudes, and pro-environmental behavior. Overall, environmental awareness is positioned as a multidimensional educational construct that bridges knowledge and attitudes with responsible environmental action, highlighting the importance of curriculum integration and future longitudinal research.

Abstract

Memahami konsep geometri merupakan salah satu tantangan utama dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat sekolah menengah pertama, karena materi ini bersifat abstrak dan memerlukan kemampuan visualisasi serta penalaran spasial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis GeoGebra dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geometri siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen non-equivalent control group, melibatkan kelas VIII A sebagai kelompok eksperimen (21 siswa) dan kelas VIII B sebagai kelompok kontrol (20 siswa). Instrumen penelitian terdiri atas tes pemahaman konsep dan angket respons siswa, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas, homogenitas, N-Gain, uji-t independen, dan uji Mann-Whitney dengan bantuan perangkat lunak JASP versi 0.19.3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen dengan rata-rata N-Gain sebesar 0,804 dibandingkan 0,636 pada kelas kontrol, nilai t sebesar 3,474, p < 0,001, dan ukuran efek (effect size) sebesar 1,027. Selain itu, 82% siswa memberikan respons positif terhadap penggunaan GeoGebra. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa GeoGebra tidak hanya secara signifikan meningkatkan pemahaman konsep geometri, tetapi juga meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Keunikan penelitian ini terletak pada penerapan GeoGebra untuk visualisasi dinamis objek dua dan tiga dimensi, yang memperkuat hubungan antara representasi visual dan logika formal, sehingga memberikan wawasan baru bagi strategi pembelajaran matematika.

Abstract

Digital visibility in the Foi Doa instrument shows a shift in the way culture is understood in the digital space. Visual representation in digital media plays a strong role in directing the audience's perception of traditional practices. The Qualitative Digital Discourse Analysis (QDDA) method was used to analyze content and responses on two YouTube channels with different production styles. Observations are focused on comparisons between cinematic representations and everyday documentation. High audience engagement on cinematic videos does not develop into a deep musical understanding. The audience's response focuses more on the visual aspect than on the sound structure and spiritual function of the instrument. Simple documentation does not show a comparable level of interaction. These findings show the dominance of visual elements in shaping audience perception in the digital space. This condition is understood as the paradox of visibility, which is a situation when the expansion of reach through digitalization goes hand in hand with the simplification of meaning. In contrast to the concepts of mediatization and spectacularization that emphasize the changing form and dominance of media, the visibility paradox highlights specifically the tension between increased visibility and narrowing of the depth of meaning in digital consumption practices. Thus, digital representation not only expands access, but also limits the way culture is interpreted.

Abstract

The misalignment between academic orientation and professional practice demands in instrumental music education indicates a gap in the integration of graduate competencies. The relevance of learning is influenced by formal curricular structures that tend to be rigid, resulting in inconsistent connections with professional practice. This study employs a qualitative approach using a narrative literature review design with thematic synthesis. The data corpus consists of 25 scholarly articles published between 2019 and 2026, sourced from Google Scholar, Scopus, SINTA, and Garuda. The analysis identifies structural barriers, including curricular fragmentation and limited connectivity with professional ecosystems. The dominance of product-oriented assessment constrains the development of learning processes, while limited digital infrastructure weakens the integration between academic learning and real-world practice. An Integrative Conceptual Framework (ICF) is proposed as an analytical tool to interpret and guide the development of instrumental music pedagogy. The framework comprises epistemological foundations, adaptive curricular design, and institutional ecosystem connectivity. Strengthening the relationship between educational institutions and industry is essential for the effective implementation of this framework.

Abstract

Kajian ini bertujuan memetakan pendekatan pedagogis dalam pembelajaran musik kreatif di perguruan tinggi serta menjelaskan orientasi, potensi, keterbatasan, dan celah kajian dalam literatur. Penelitian menggunakan kajian literatur terstruktur berorientasi pemetaan pedagogis melalui seleksi purposif terhadap 24 rujukan akademik berupa artikel jurnal, buku akademik, dan bab buku. Data dianalisis secara tematik dengan memperhatikan metode pembelajaran, aktivitas kreatif, relasi belajar, teknologi, asesmen, dan konteks budaya. Hasil kajian menunjukkan enam klaster pedagogis, yaitu project-based learning, improvisasi dan eksperimen musikal, kolaborasi digital, komposisi bebas, inquiry-based learning, dan peer learning. Kajian ini juga menemukan tiga dimensi lintas klaster, yaitu musik lokal, teknologi, dan asesmen kreativitas. Sintesis kajian menghasilkan empat prinsip pedagogis: kebebasan yang terstruktur, praktik autentik, pembelajaran sosial-reflektif, dan orientasi kontekstual-kultural. Artikel ini menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran musik kreatif di perguruan tinggi perlu menghubungkan metode, konteks budaya, teknologi, dan asesmen kreativitas musikal. Kontribusi utama artikel terletak pada penyusunan peta pedagogis, bukan pada penentuan metode pembelajaran paling efektif.

Abstract

Pembelajaran paduan suara di tingkat sekolah sering kali terbentur pada masalah teknis yang mendasar namun krusial. Di SMPS Katolik Regina Pacis Bajawa, kendala seperti napas yang pendek, intonasi yang meleset pada nada tinggi, hingga artikulasi lirik yang terdengar "kumur-kumur" menjadi penghambat utama kualitas performa siswa. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini membedah persoalan tersebut melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Fokus utamanya ada pada siswa kelas VIII yang sedang mengikuti ekstrakurikuler paduan suara. Penggalian data dilakukan tidak hanya lewat pengamatan sepintas, melainkan melalui observasi partisipan yang mendalam, wawancara personal dengan guru dan siswa, serta analisis dokumen partitur. Data yang terkumpul kemudian diurai menggunakan alur analisis interaktif model Miles, Huberman, dan Saldaña. Hasil: Temuan lapangan menunjukkan bahwa metode drill atau latihan berulang yang dilakukan secara disiplin seperti penerapan pola vokal "Mia-Ho-Ha-Ha" ternyata ampuh bekerja sebagai mekanisme korektif. Ada perubahan nyata yang terlihat: mekanisme napas siswa mulai beralih ke diafragma secara otomatis (muscle memory), bidikan nada pada interval jauh menjadi lebih presisi, dan pelafalan lirik lagu "Ke Rumah Tuhan" terdengar jauh lebih jernih dan tegas. Kesimpulan: Metode drill terbukti bukan sekadar aktivitas fisik yang melelahkan, melainkan strategi efektif untuk membongkar kebiasaan vokal yang salah dan membangun fondasi teknik bernyanyi yang benar bagi siswa pemula.

Abstract

Rendahnya literasi musik pada siswa sekolah dasar sering kali disebabkan oleh ketimpangan materi ajar yang terlalu didominasi oleh seni rupa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membidik nada dan pembacaan notasi angka pada siswa kelas III SDK Ngedukelu melalui pelatihan vokal terstruktur dan penggunaan instrumen musik diatonis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan proses yang mencakup eksplorasi bunyi, latihan teknik vokal dasar, serta praktik notasi menggunakan bantuan pianika. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya transformasi signifikan pada kemampuan musikalitas siswa; dari kondisi disorientasi tonal (sulit membedakan nada do dan sol) menjadi mampu menyanyikan lagu anak-anak karya AT Mahmud dengan intonasi yang stabil dan akurat. Simpulan penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan media musik diatonis dan metode latihan (drill) yang terstruktur sangat efektif dalam mengatasi hambatan literasi musik di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

The involvement of children with special needs in public music practices remains limited and tends to be confined to special education environments, indicating a gap between musical experiences in schools and social participation in society. This community service project aims to develop inclusive music mentoring practices based on participatory art to foster the participation of 33 students from SLB Negeri Bajawa in outdoor musical activities. The mentoring process ran for eight weeks through stages of initial observation, sound stimulus delivery, response development, group activities, and performance at the Inclusive Music Stage. Evaluation was conducted through observation, field notes, and documentation. Results show that participant involvement developed gradually, marked not by musical technical skills but by increased social interaction, responsiveness to sound stimuli, and the courage to perform in public spaces. Program sustainability is crucial to ensure that the developments achieved can continue consistently.
