The purpose of this research is to describe the management of the foreign language learning curriculum at the Zainul Hasanain Genggong Pajarakan Islamic Boarding School. This research method uses qualitative-descriptive. Data collection techniques through observation and interviews. Data analysis was carried out from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Meanwhile, source triangulation is used as a data validation technique. The results of this study explain that the management system for foreign language learning curriculum at Zainul Hasanain Islamic Boarding School is quite good and well organized. It is known that the curriculum management applied is the same as the stages of management in general (planning, actuating, and evaluating). The planning process formulated objectives, program of activities, and schedule of activities. Then the implementation is carried out by implementing continuous activities such as memorizing vocab/mufrodat, grammar/qowaid nahwu-shorrof, short activities, and muthola'ah. There is also an annual program held to see the success and skill level of learning foreign languages such as story telling or qisshoh, and to undergo assignments for two years. Finally, evaluation of student learning is carried out once every three months.

This paper aims to review the leadership and improvement of education quality in islamic boarding school. To realize the objectives of boarding school, a leader who has the ability to answer various challenges, have a vision to be come the excellent boarding school, and the effort to achieve it with high energy and commitment. Leaders who always try to influence their subordinates through direct communication by emphasizing the importance of values, assumptions, commitments, and beliefs and have a determination to achieve the goals. Leaders act in way to motivate and inspire subordinates through the giving of meaning and challange to the duties of subordinates. The meaning of the quality of education is the suitability of the needs in education which one means to improve the quality of human resouces as well as to produce changing of human to become a perfect human beings with the noble character and good personality.

Abstrak Peranan kepala tata usaha sebagai administrator dalam meningkatkan efektivitas pelayanan administrasi di lembaga Madrasah Tsanawiyah Sunan Kalijaga memiliki peranan yang sangat penting. Tujuan dari pengamatan ini ialah untuk memperoleh pemahaman yang cukup luas mengenai peranan kepala tata usaha sebagai administrator dan pentingnya peran tersebut dalam meningkatkan efektivitas layanan administrasi di lembaga Madrasah Tsanawiyah. Pengamatan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode studi pustaka untuk memperoleh data yang diperlukan. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan ini, kita dapat mengetahui bahwa kepala tata usaha memiliki tanggung jawab utama dalam mengatur dan mengawasi berbagai aspek administrasi di lembaga. Dengan kepemimpinan yang kuat, perencanaan yang baik, pengawasan yang cermat, pelatihan yang tepat, dan penerapan teknologi yang tepat, kepala tata usaha dapat meningkatkan kinerja dan efektivitas layanan administrasi. Pengamatan ini diharapkan bisa menjadi arahan bagi kepala tata usaha dan pihak yang bersangkutan dalam mengoptimalkan administrasi dilembaga pendidikan dan meningkatkan mutu pelayanan administrasi dilembaga Madrasah Tsanawiyah Sunan Kalijaga. Kata Kunci: Kepala Tata Usaha, Administrator, Pengelolaan, Layanan Administrasi Abstract The role of the head of administration as an administrator in improving the effectiveness of administrative services at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Sunan Kalijaga institution has a very important role. The purpose of this observation is to gain a fairly broad understanding of the role of the head of administration as an administrator and the importance of this role in increasing the effectiveness of administrative services at Madrasah Tsanawiyah institutions. This observation uses a qualitative approach and literature study methods to obtain the necessary data. Based on the results of these observations, it can be concluded that the head of administration has the main responsibility for organizing and supervising various aspects of administration in the institution. With strong leadership, good planning, careful supervision, appropriate training, and the application of appropriate technology, the head of administration can improve the performance and effectiveness of administrative services. It is hoped that this observation can provide direction for the head of administration and the parties concerned in optimizing administration at educational institutions and improving the quality of administrative services at the Madrasah Tsanawiyah Sunan Kalijaga institution. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of distinctive flagship programs, focusing on how technology integration contributes to cultivating outstanding and pesantren-spirited students through the Prodistik program. The research method employed a qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as participatory observation and in-depth interviews with students, educators, and Prodistik heads to gain a comprehensive understanding and stakeholders' perceptions of technology-based and pesantren-integrated education management in shaping outstanding students at Madrasah Aliyah Zainul Hasan Genggong. The findings indicate that the implementation of technology-based and pesantren-integrated education management at the madrasah successfully merges traditional values with technology and serves as an inspiration for other educational institutions. This success is evidenced by graduates proficient in technology with a pesantren spirit, easily accepted in the workforce and universities.

This research aims to analyze the digital-based archives management of the Mumtaz Information System at Madrasah Aliyah Zainul Hasan 1 Genggong which can realize the quality of records management in administrative services effectively and efficiently at Madrasah Aliyah Zainul Hasan 1 Genggong. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods. The data collection instruments used were interviews, observation and documentation. The research results obtained show that the digital-based archive management of the Mumtaz information system at Madrasah Aliyah Zainul Hasan 1 Genggong through the planning, management, control and supervision stages has been managed effectively and efficiently, however digital archive management has limited storage for many archives. Digital archive management activities include at least two things, namely: archive storage and archive retrieval. Digital archive storage activities are archive management activities that start from transfer of archive media to the arrangement of archives in new media. The use of digital archives already uses the official application from Madrasah Aliyah Zainul Hasan 1 Genggong, for this reason, in realizing the quality of administration of administrative services effectively and efficiently at Madrasah Aliyah Zainul Hasan 1 Genggong, the official application is used, namely the Mumtaz Information System (SI MUMTAZ) in managing archives digitally. Purpose – In response to the challenges posed by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, enhancing lecturer competitiveness has become crucial to ensuring the sustainability of higher education quality in Indonesia. This study aims to empirically examine the influence of spiritual leadership, organizational culture, and self-efficacy on lecturer performance, with a particular focus on higher education institutions in Probolinggo Regency, East Java—an area previously underexplored in academic research. Design/methods/approach – This study employs a quantitative correlational approach involving 220 lecturers from ten higher education institutions in Probolinggo. Data were collected through a closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SmartPLS 4.0 through the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method to assess the causal relationships among latent variables. Findings – The analysis reveals that all three independent variables—spiritual leadership (β = 1.330; p < 0.001), organizational culture (β = 1.588; p < 0.001), and self-efficacy (β = 0.503; p < 0.001)—have a significant impact on lecturer performance. The model demonstrates an R² value of 0.598, indicating that 59.8% of the variability in lecturer performance can be explained jointly by these three factors. Research implications – The findings have direct implications for higher education human resource development policies, particularly in fostering value-based leadership, strengthening adaptive work culture, and enhancing lecturers’ psychological capacity to promote sustainable academic performance.

Purpose – This study aims to examine branding image strategies in building competitive advantage at Private Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions (Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Swasta or PTKIS) in Indonesia. The research focuses on Universitas Islam Zainul Hasan Genggong (UNZAH) and Sekolah Tinggi Dirasat Islamiyah Imam Syafi’i (STDIIS) Jember, which adopt both local and global branding approaches. This study responds to the need for a balanced reputation management model to strengthen PTKIS’s positioning amidst the dynamics of national and global higher education landscapes. Design/methods/approach – Employing a qualitative approach with a multi-case study design and cross-site analysis, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and analysis of strategic documents. Data analysis followed the Miles & Huberman interactive model, and validation was conducted through source triangulation. Findings – UNZAH successfully established its institutional identity through the integration of local and Islamic cultural values, leading to an increase of up to 1,000 new student enrollments per year. STDIIS developed a global branding strategy through Arabic language proficiency and a Madinah-based curriculum, attracting over 1,200 applicants. The conceptual model of Balanced Reputation Management Strategy was formulated to integrate local characteristics and global strategies within the institutional branding framework. Research implications – This model can be implemented by PTKIS administrators as a guideline for designing long-term branding strategies grounded in Islamic values, local culture, and international competitiveness, in order to strengthen institutional image and attract prospective students.

This research aims to explore the implementation of Transformational Leadership Style in Pondok Darut Tauhid by utilizing all aspects of life in the pesantren. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques used, namely documentation, interviews and observations. The results of this study indicate that transformational leadership in Darut Tauhid boarding school must be based on several principles, namely: First Idealized Influence where the leader is able to influence all human resources within the scope of the pesantren, Second Inspirational Motivation is shown by the ability to motivate students and asatidz in carrying out responsibilities. Third, Innovation is a change that continues and will continue to be made towards something better. Fourth, Pioneer as a figure who is able to take risks on things that do not yet exist within the scope of the pesantren. Keywords: Transformational Leadership, Islamic Boarding School.
