Abstract

Covid pandemic is hitting global tourism, Indonesia is no exception. However, there is hope that tourism will improve in the future. Ecotourism is one product that is considered to be capable of being the solution. Burung Indonesia is the main ecotourism operator in Flores, its activities are located in the Mbeliling area about 50 km from Labuanbajo. Is the ecotourism management carried out well and in accordance with global sustainable tourism standards? This study aims to evaluate the management of ecotourism in Mbeliling, Flores by referring to the overall criteria and indicators required by GSTC v2.0 The method used in applied social research formative evaluation is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out directly through comprehensive observation and in-depth interviews for five days in the field. Secondary data obtained through documentation, historical comparison, and supported by quantitative non-reactive data. In the next stage, the analysis of research is more emphasized on the analysis of literature conducted descriptively. The results of the study revealed unsatisfactory results for managers. The results of this evaluation should be used as a reference for future improvements, so that they become superior ecotourism operators and in accordance with sustainable tourism practices. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami kondisi aktual kepariwisataan berbasis masyarakat (CBT) di Desa Sekapuk dengan menganalisis pelaksanaan prinsip-prinsip CBT. CBT patut diimplementasikan karena masyarakat adalah pihak yang seyogianya menjadi pelaku utama berbagai kegiatan kepariwisataan, sehingga manfaat dari pariwisata dapat dirasakan langsung oleh masyarakat. Penelitian ini merupakan Community-Based Research (CBR) yang dilakukan dengan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Implementasi CBT di Desa Sekapuk secara garis besar sejalan dengan prinsip-prinsip CBT pada aspek: partisipasi dan pemberdayaan masyarakat; kemitraan dengan pemangku kepentingan terkait; pengakuan dari otoritas terkait; peningkatan kesejahteraan sosial; keadilan dan transparansi dalam pembagian manfaat; peningkatan hubungan dengan ekonomi lokal dan regional; dan kemandirian finansial.  Penelitian menemukan masih perlu ditingkatkan kinerja dalam aspek penghargaan terhadap budaya dan tradisi lokal, kontribusi terhadap konservasi sumber daya alam; dan upaya peningkatan pengalaman pengunjung. Community–Based Tourism in Sekapuk Village: a Participatory Action ResearchAbstract: This study aims to understand the actual conditions of community-based tourism (CBT) in Sekapuk Village by analyzing the implementation of CBT principles. CBT should be implemented because the local community is supposedly the main actors for various tourism activities to maximize the direct benefits of tourism. This research is Community-Based Research (CBR) conducted using the Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach. The implementation of CBT in Sekapuk Village is broadly in line with the principles of CBT in the aspects of community participation and empowerment; partnerships with relevant stakeholders; recognition from relevant authorities; increase in social welfare; fairness and transparency in benefit-sharing; improved relations with local and regional economies; and financial independence. The research found that performance needs to be improved in terms of respect for local culture and traditions, contribution to the conservation of natural resources; and visitor experience enhancement efforts.

Abstract

The Culture and Tourism Departement of West Java Province is one of instace under Indonesia culture ministry that manages the problem of culture in west java province.This reseacrh is done to know the effectivity of website as information media for tourist it’s about the respond of people about the culture and tourism department of west java province the reseacrh uses quantitative descriptive method to discuss about the problem. The sample of this research are 100 respondent that taken by using sampling of incidental and data colletion ofe this research uses observation, interview, questioner, and documentation. Abstract

This research is about work motivation of front office employee in Hotel KTM Resort Batam. This study aims to (1) to know the driving factors from outside the front office employees' self in Koh Tien Ming (KTM) Resort Batam Riau Islands.(2) to know the motivation from inside the front office employees at Koh Tien Ming (KTM) Resort Batam Kepulauan Riau.The sample in this study amounted to 6 people using the census sampling technique.This research uses quantitative descriptive method to categorize the data then compiled by using frequency. And for data collection techniques in this study using interviews and questionnaires. By using Likert scale as a measuring tool.Based on the results of research obtained on work motivation of front office employees in Koh Tien Ming (KTM) Resort Batam is high. This is proved by the total total score of intrinsic and extrinsic actors is 209 points.Keywords: Motivation, Intrinsic Factor, Extrinsic Factor.

Abstract

Koneng Beach is one of the seaside tourist destinations in Medang Kampai District, Dumai City. An area that faces directly with Malaysia with attractive aquatic tourism potential. Starting in 2017, Koneng Beach has been successfully visited by thousands of visitors. This research was conducted in the Koneng Dumai Beach Tourist Destination, Medang Kampai District, Dumai City, this research aims to find out the Role of the Community in Koneng Beach Tourist Destination. The research method that will be used in this study is Qualitative with the type of Grounded Research. Data collection was carried out by observation and interview methods by interviewing several local people living around Koneng Beach. Through interviews conducted with 4 Informants, it was found that 3 roles of the community in the Koneng Dumai Beach tourist destination are: 1) Tourism Services, 2) Environmental Conservation, 3) Field Officer. Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of Tourism Attraction on Tourist Satisfaction at The Okura Dream Flower Park, Tebing Tinggi Okura Tourism Village. This research uses an associative quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out using observation, documentation, and questionnaires distributed to tourists who had visited the flower park using accidental sampling techniques. Data analysis includes validity test, reliability test, classical assumption test, simple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that there was a significant influence between Tourism Attraction on Tourist Satisfaction in The Okura Dream Flower Park, Tebing Tinggi Okura Tourism Village. This is evidenced by the coefficient of determination (R Square) of 0.866, which shows that Tourism Attraction is able to explain 86.6% of variations in tourist satisfaction while the remaining 13.4% is influenced by other variables outside this regression equation or other variables not examined. Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the application of Sapta Pesona and the obstacles in implementing Sapta Pesona at the Natal Beach tourist attraction. This research was conducted in Natal Village, Mandailing Natal district. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects were the Mandailing Natal District Tourism and Culture Office, the Natal Market II Community and Business Actors at Natal Beach. The data collection techniques used in this research are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the research found that the Sapta Pesona elements that have been implemented at Natal Beach are: (1) safe elements, (2) orderly elements, (3) cool elements and (4) friendly elements. Meanwhile, three elements have not been implemented, namely: (1) clean elements, (2) beautiful elements, and (3) memorable elements. Keywords: Application, Sapta Pesona, and Natal Beach

Abstract

This research aims to determine the description of the attractiveness and efforts to increase the attractiveness of the Al-Jami' Air Tiris Mosque tourist attraction, Kampar Regency. Kampar Regency is nicknamed the Land of Verandas of Mecca. Another nickname given to the district whose capital is Bangkinang City is Bumi Sarimadu which upholds cultural values, customs and religion in its daily life. The Jamik Air Tiris Mosque is a religious tourist attraction in Kampar Regency which was built in 1901 AD on the initiative of a great cleric named Datuk Engku Mudo Sangkal. This mosque is located on the banks of the Kampar river, precisely at the Usang Air Tiris Market. Sources were obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. Based on the research results, the conclusion of this research is that the attraction of the Jami' Air Tiris Mosque, Kampar Regency, which was built during the Dutch colonial period, is divided into history and the building itself. Abstract

The Role of Pastry Section in Supporting Service Operations at Grand Jatra Hotel Restaurant Pekanbaru is based on the fact that the pastry section or bread and cake section in the hotel has an important role in supporting service operations in the hotel restaurant. The Pastry section is responsible for producing bread, cakes, and other bakery products that are an important part of the food and beverage menu at the hotel restaurant. This study aims to determine the role of the pastry section in supporting service operations at the Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru restaurant along with the obstacles faced by the party section in supporting service operations at the Grand Jatra Hotel Pekanbaru restaurant. The theories used are product quality theory, operational standard theory, recipe standard theory, pastry section theory, superior product theory, hotel revenue theory, and employee training theory. The type of research taken by researchers is qualitative descriptive. The research data collection stage is to conduct a face-to-face interview process with the speakers, observation and documentation, observations and conversation results analyzed by the researcher, namely 5 (five) resource persons consisting of Executive chef, Chef the partie, Demi Chef, pastry staff, pastry intern. The result of this study is The role of the pastry section in supporting service operations at the Grand Jatra Pekanbaru hotel restaurant shows that the Pastry section plays an important role in supporting service operations at the Grand Jatra Pekanbaru Hotel Restaurant. Good hotel management involves a combination of work between departments that support and complement each other so that hotel revenue increases thanks to the products produced. Abstract

The main kitchen is the main kitchen in a hotel, but in hotel operations the kitchen plays a very important role, because the main task of the kitchen is to process food and drinks, from raw ingredients until they are ready to be served to guests. Based on the pre-survey that has been carried out, to date there are still problems that arise due to several chef performance factors including: Food that is not salty enough/too salty, the food menu is just ordinary, food is served late, drinks are not sweet enough, service takes a long time. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects in this research were 3 people, including 2 chefs and 1 customer. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research results show that in improving the performance of the Main Kitchen chef at FOX Hotel Pekanbaru, he has various abilities in an effort to improve performance at FOX Hotel Pekanbaru, including: 1. Core abilities: a) Improving cleanliness, b) Understanding tasks, c) Carrying out job evaluations, d) Prepare menus. 1. Personal abilities: a) Building work relationships, b) Managing work time. 3) Ability to overcome external problems: a) Ability to overcome obstacles, b) Handle complaints, c) Deal with pressure Keywords:Chef Role, Performance.
