Abstract

Natural resources such as fine and coarse aggregates eventually deplete and are irreplaceable. Therefore, the materials needed to replace aggregates in rigid pavements with marble and stone powder are different. The purpose of this study was to determine the compressive strength and flexural strength of concrete at the ages of seven and twenty-eight days. This study used a quantitative experimental research design. The test objects were reinforced concrete slabs measuring 50 x 12 x 120 with variations of 0%, 15%, 25%, and 35%, as well as cylinders measuring 15 cm and 30 cm. The most ideal value for the compressive strength of used marble powder over a period of 28 days is 15%; the most ideal value for used marble stone is 25%; and only a variation of 0% meets the intended parameters for the combination of used stone and powder. The results of the compressive strength test conducted on marble powder waste concrete, marble stone waste, and a combination of stone waste and powder over a seven-day period did not meet the planned requirements. The flexural strength tests on ordinary concrete yielded deflections of 25% (4.26), 0% (3.93), and 25% (4.71), respectively, using marble powder waste, marble stone, and a combination of stone and powder with maximum load. Abstract

Public transportation plays a crucial role in supporting urban mobility. In Malang City, public transportation (angkot) faces various challenges, particularly declining service quality and increasing competition from online transportation. This study aims to identify the characteristics of angkot, analyze passenger movement patterns, and plan efforts to improve accessibility. The study employed a quantitative descriptive approach with multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS. Data were collected from 101 respondents at five main terminals using simple random sampling and incidental sampling techniques. The results showed that there were still 17 active routes with MPU/CARRY vehicles with a capacity of 10–12 passengers without a clear departure schedule. Of the 19 bus stops, most were not functioning properly, while angkot fares were not in accordance with regulations. Regression analysis showed that comfort, safety, and facility conditions simultaneously significantly influenced efficiency and connectivity, with a determination value (R²) approaching 1,000. Comfort and safety factors were proven to be dominant in influencing passenger decisions. These findings underscore the need for route evaluation, fleet rejuvenation, and quality improvement so that public transportation services can once again function as an efficient, safe, and easily accessible mode of transportation for all levels of society.

Abstract

Transportation is crucial to Indonesia's development, with highways being the main element. Road damage is often caused by low-quality materials, loads, and weather. The modification of asphalt mixtures with additives can improve their stability. Porous asphalt, which is effective in terms of drainage and strength, can improve the road safety. In Tulungagung, marble waste can be used in asphalt mixtures, thereby reducing waste and cost. This study evaluates the use of marble waste in asphalt mixtures, particularly the characteristics of the porous asphalt Marshall. The method used was The Australian Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA) Marshall with stability parameters, Flow, Voids in Mix (VIM), Voids in Mineral Aggregate (VMA), Cantabro Loss (CL), and Asphalt Flow Down (AFD), with variations in asphalt content of 4.5, 5, 5.5, and 6%. After obtaining the OAC, the test specimens were made with marble fragments and marble powder contents of 15, 25, and 35%. The results showed that the OAC was 5% with Marshall characteristics, namely stability of 1,037 kg, flow of 3.33 mm, Marshall quotient of 311 kg/mm, VIM of 24.96%, and VMA of 27.84%wasmarble frMarshallat a content of 25% Marshall characteristics are stability 509 kg, flow 3.00 mm, Marshall quotient 200 kg/mm, VIM 19.00%, and VMA 50.00%. and marble powder at 15 % content is stability 805 kg, flow 3.00 mm, Marshall quotient 279 kg/mm, VIM 27.00% and VMA 40.00%. All parameters meet the specifications except VIM, which does not meet the specifications because the addition of marble powder reduces voids in the porous asphalt. The AFD value decreases with an increasing percentage of marble fragments and marble powder, affecting the separation of asphalt in the mixture and the permeability value.

Abstract

In an effort to increase the strength of mixed asphalt concrete structure ( AC-WC ) in addition to the use of hot asphalt mixture with new specification, the selection of material type used is very important. In addition to asphalt, both coarse and fine aggregates and fillers are one component in a pavement construction that has a large role. Therefore further research is needed on the influence of temperature variation and percentage of filler fly ash to the modulus of r esilien which is good so that it can be applied and able to overcome the damages. In this research is divided into 3 (three) stages namely (1) the selection of materials; (2) the preparation of the specimen; (3) research and data analysis. Asphalt concrete mixed test (AC-WC) showed that Asphalt Optimum (KAO) content with 5.5% asphalt content with VIM value of 3.70%, VMA of 19.00%, Stability of 1,152.93 kg, Flow of 2.78 mm and MQ of 417.39 kg/mm. The result of mixed asphalt concrete (AC-WC) asphalt with filler fly ash test showed that the optimum mixture content was 7% filler content with VIM value 4,21%, VMA 19,21%, Stability 1326.10 kg, Flow of 3.69 mm and MQ of 360.13 kg/mm.
